Religious traders in Ananda Marga

Namaskar,
Ananda Marga ideology states, “In most cases religions took advantage of human weaknesses, crippled the people’s rationality, and sapped their strength, thus facilitating their exploitation by the religious traders. When the vitality and strength of the masses remains unexpressed, the exploiters will be able to exploit them in the economic and other spheres of life for a long time with relative ease. In the annals of human history it can be seen in all ages that the various exploiters were the patrons and the preachers of religion.” (1)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “You should never allow yourselves to fall victim to these political and religious traders. Remember that every individual has immense potentialities. Tap those potentialities and advance resolutely along the spiritual path. If you cannot stand erect on the solid ground on the strength of your spiritual power, no one can support you with a prop. You need not employ a paid agent to help you express your innate potentialities.” (2)

Dada Nirmohananda selling"blessed" rudraksa and stones

Baba says that no one should indulge in such types of negative professions which turn a profit by harming the public. For instance, one should not earn a living by selling alcohol or drugs, cheating others, lending money, and various other dealings which Baba has outlined like religious trading. Yet that is what a few of our Dadas are doing. They have become religious traders by selling dogmatic rudraksa and stones (religious merchandise) under false pretext that such rudraksa will protect people from harm and cure their mundane maladies. And they also sell horoscope and palmistry readings.

Ananda Marga ideology states, "One must have a clean occupation, that is, one must not do anything antisocial, one must not encourage anything antisocial, anything that goes against collective interest. That is samyak ájiiva in physical sphere. One may earn money by selling wine. One may earn money by stealing. These are not samyak ájiiva. Your occupation should be neat and clean – not going against the interest of the society." (3)

In the present-day society, there various wrongs done by businesses that harm the general society. Those dealing in pornography, lottery, drug smuggling etc do irreparable harm to society - as do religious traders like what Dada Nirmoha'nanda is doing. Dadaji is actively building his client base and cheating naive, innocent victims in the name of dharma / God. People are interested in securing their future so they buy a rudraksa from a priest - i.e. Dada N - who repeatedly assures them that this rudraksa will remove their bad samskaras and sin. Dadaji also promises that by this way so many good things will happen, such as one will experience proper health and find a suitable spouse etc.

And when the exploited person does not get the desired results or their disease is not cured, then Dada N immediately accuses them of not being sincere in their practice. This is his rapid, ready-made reply to quell their protest and put them on the defensive. Dadaji is very fast and efficient in threatening those exploited persons. And he is adept at selling them horoscope and palmistry readings.

Here following are further points for consideration.

Just a sales pitch like fake sadhus do

Their "sales pitch" is no different from what dogmatic Indian sadhus tell to dupe gullible Hindus seeking redemption etc. That is to say, a few of our very own Dadas put forth the same dogmatic message as given by those hashish-smoking sadhus who try to squeeze money from naive believers. Here again though, Dada N is the most aggressive as he actually threatens people about what will happen to them if they do not purchase from him or doubt his expertise in this arena. Dadaji warns them that they will suffer from disease, bankruptcy etc if they do not pay heed to his words. This is the fear tactic he employs to corral more clients and keep existing ones.

Here is our Dada Nirmohananda - so those who do not know him should understand who he is so they can recognise him - and save themselves from being trapped.

Baba's warning on religious traders

We should all keep in my Baba's below teaching and not let any Dada fall in this way.

Ananda Marga ideology states, "In most cases religions took advantage of human weaknesses, crippled the people’s rationality, and sapped their strength, thus facilitating their exploitation by the religious traders. When the vitality and strength of the masses remains unexpressed, the exploiters will be able to exploit them in the economic and other spheres of life for a long time with relative ease. In the annals of human history it can be seen in all ages that the various exploiters were the patrons and the preachers of religion." (4)

Here is Baba's pointed guideline about those type of harmful occupations.

Baba says, "No one should be a trader in religion, because in the name of religion, many people are exploited. Nor should one earn one’s livelihood by dealing with dead bodies because such people want more and more people to die, so that they may thereby increase their income…The scriptures stipulate that people should not accept food from such people, because their occupations are despicable." (5)

Namaskar,
In Him,
Ananda Ketan

Note: Baba has used the term religious traders to denote those who exploit their fellow followers by the means of religion. They infuse some sort of belief or dogma, introduce the theology of heaven and hell,  inject inferiority and fear complexes upon the people, and then sell the religious cure to the unsuspecting public. By this way those make money. Hence they are called religious traders because they profit from religious exploitation. Such religious traders are not the friends of a healthy human society. Baba has made the rule that the food of such religious traders is inedible. So if any religious traders offers to feed you then do not accept it - do not eat their food.

Omnkareshvaranandji also involved

Here is should be noted that Dada N is not the only Wt indulged in this way. Dada Omnkareshvaranandji has also entered this realm of business with stone, rudraksa, and palmistry etc. He is not as forceful and does not have the client base that Dada N has, but one day Omnkareshvaranandji hopes to grow his account.

Fate is not the guiding or controlling factor

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Fate. There are many people who are fatalists. They are worshippers of fate. A fatalist means a worshipper of fate – a worshipper of fortune or fate. They are worse than nature-worshippers. What is fate? There is nothing such as fate in this universe. So far as the philosophy is concerned there cannot be anything called fate. What is fate? Everyone has to undergo the reaction of his or her past actions, the reaction of the original action. Suppose your finger comes in contact with fire; you will feel pain, you will have to suffer but, at that moment one will say that because your finger came in contact with fire, that’s why you are suffering. But when the reaction takes place after a long gap, and when the original action is not known or has been forgotten, or when the original action took place in another past life, and you do not know what was the original action – in that case you say, it is fate, it is fate. But actually there is no fate. What you call fate is actually the reaction of our past actions. In samskrta, it is called samskára, in Latin “reactive momenta”." (6)

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Actually fate is a misnomer. Whatever you do, for that you will have to undergo a reaction; and when the original action is unknown to you, that reaction is called “fate”. Suppose your finger comes in contact with fire: while experiencing the reaction, while undergoing the pain, you know the cause, and in that case you will not say that it is fate. But when the original action is not known to you, you call it fate." (7)

You graciously caressed me with Your soft tender hand -
in that ambiance of the blissful...

"Bandhu ámár nikat́ ámár,ámi ki gáibo tomár gán..." (Prabhat Samgiita #525)

Purport:

O' my Bandhu [1], O' my dearmost, You are my very close and intimate One. What song should I sing to please You. You are aware about my longing. You are my Love, You are the personification of hope, saturated in sweetness. You are my heart of hearts - and my everything.  You are my nearest and intimate One.

O' Parama Purusa, since that very first day when You blessed me by bringing me in Your closeness under Your care, since then, by Your grace, I have understood that You are my savior; You are doing     everything for me. Also since that very day, with Your divine touch You have blessed me with new life. Baba by Your causeless grace my way of living has been wholly transformed from a worldly existence into life divine. Since then everything has become blissful. You are my very close and intimate One.

O' my Bandhu, on that most blessed day You graciously caressed me with Your soft tender hand. In that ambience of the blissful early morning dawn, the lotus flowers were blossoming in the pond and spreading their aroma all around. Then by Your infinite grace, You pulled me very close to You and graciously placed me on Your Lap and loved me; and by placing Your hand on top of my head, You bathed me with divine effulgence and granted me liberation. Baba, You bestowed me everything. What You have done is unparalleled. You are my very close and intimate One.

O' Parama Purusa Baba, You are love personified; You are my most dear; You are my everything...

Note for Prabhat Samgiita #525

[1] Bandhu: Here below are some of Guru’s teachings on the term bandhu.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “What is the meaning of “bandhu”? In Saḿskrta, the meaning of the word “bandhu” is “to bind”. Bandhu indicates that person or entity who cannot stand separation. Parama Puruśa or Saguńa Brahma is closely and intimately connected with this expressed world, or jagata. He is pervasively connected with every individual entity, be it a living being or a crude object. He is also linked through and through with the universe as a whole. In other words, He is indissolubly and inextricably involved (ota prota) with everything. Therefore, He is the only bandhu of this universe. The rest of your bandhus in the physical world are not your eternal friends. Though they are with you now, a day will soon come when they will go away; they will be separated from you. When you depart from this world, these friends will accompany or carry your dead body. But how far will they accompany you? They will accompany your body up to the cremation ground or the burning ghat. Having gone so far, at the most they will return to their own dwelling places. So they are not your real bandhu. There is a shloka in Saḿskrta:”

Atyágasahano bandhu sadaevánumatah suhrd;
Eka kryaḿ bhavenmitraḿ samapráńáh sakhásmrtah.

“He who loves [[so much that]] he can never sustain the grief of separation, is known as “bandhu”. In this sense, nobody can have any bandhu in this world. Only that Jagatabandhu – that Parama Puruśa –     can be your bandhu. No one else is your bandhu. Only He is your real friend.” (1)

Why capitalists are antisocial

Prout philosophy states, "In a joint family every member is provided with adequate food, clothing, education and medical treatment, and amenities, as per their individual needs, according to the financial capacity of the entire family. If, however, any member of the family appropriates more grains, clothes, books or medicines than he or she requires, will that person not be the cause of distress to other members of the family? In such circumstances his or her actions will be certainly against dharma – certainly antisocial."
"Similarly, the capitalists of this modern world are anti-dharma, or antisocial, creatures. To accumulate massive wealth, they reduce others to skin and bones gnawed by hunger and force them to die of starvation; to dazzle people with the glamour of their garments, they compel others to wear rags; and to increase their own vital strength, they suck dry the vital juice of others." সংগ্রাম-রাহিত্য কোথাও নেই; সংগ্রাম সৰ সময়ই আছে

== Section 7: Important Teaching ==

Religious bigotry in the past and present

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “You are possibly aware of the fact that there was a time when people used to bother too much about castes. And in this regard, they displayed terrible intolerance. Caste-discrimination was about to strangle humanism. In many cases this happened. People belonging to the so-called lower strata of society were not really considered human beings. In certain spheres they were treated worse than animals. It was not thought that a food item must be discarded – it is not considered so even now – when a mouse, a mole, a fly or mosquito touched it. But what to speak of it being touched by certain so called lower-caste people or their entering the kitchen or their sitting in the kitchen veranda – in certain cases, they were even barred from entering the courtyard of the house. Although it was loudly claimed that everything is the manifestation of Brahma, Sarvaḿ khalvidaḿ Brahma, in reality all kinds of casteism were concealed within the boundaries of religion.”

“In those days the boomerang of this religious bigotry did not spare even the heads of society. On the contrary, it was Brahmans who did the greatest injury to other Brahmans. The descendents of Krttivas Thakur (his nephew’s line) had to carry a social stigma because Krttivas Thakur had committed the offence of translating the Rámáyańa into Bengali. A high-caste Brahman was downgraded due to leaving his village to settle in another. Thus surnames like Banerjees became Kusháriis, Batabyals, Máscaŕaks; similarly, Chatterjees were downgraded to Káiṋjiilals, Pákŕáshiis; Bhattacharyas became Chakravartis. For a petty offence a person was expelled from his or her caste or expelled from his or her religion. People were forced to renounce their religion or undergo various kinds of persecution under pressure of circumstances. Looking more closely, it would seem that in those days the only job of one class of people was to find fault with others, to ruin people in the name of religion.” (1)

In Ananda Marga also

Note: In the past, innocent people were harassed, expelled, tortured, outcasted, terrorised, and killed by their own religion - for various reasons and under various pretenses. These days unfortunately a similar thing is going on in Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha. The various factions harass, threaten, expel, and even kill those who are not their yes-men, i.e. those who do not participate in their dirty dealings.

At the time of DMS, many in our Ananda Marga may be facing this very situation. They may not be allowed to stay in certain places because they are not in a particular group, and they may not be allowed to attend a particular dharmacakra etc. And they may even be subject to threats, attack, expulsion, and worse.

In contrast, obedient supporters of those group leaders are rewarded with higher posts regardless of their low character and sexual misconduct. Such yes-men become purodhas and high post holders etc, while qualified wts, margiis, and lfts are pushed aside, humiliated, threatened, and attacked etc. They face all sorts of problems and difficulties and are even barred from having their daughters married in Ananda Marga.

If this is not clear, read Baba’s above teaching again. How long will you keep quiet. What was going on thousands of years ago is still going on today in our Ananda Marga - unfortunately.

Way to publish Baba's discourses

Baba

Way to publish Baba's discourses

Namaskar,
Some have raised the matter about proofing / approving Baba's books before publishing them. They want to know what is the given system.

The approach for confirming Guru's discourses is very straightforward. Here are the steps:

1. Transcription: One must listen to Guru's discourse and ensure it has been transcribed accurately. It is simple: What Guru spoke should be written down.

2. When step one is confirmed by publications, the next job is to print / publish the discourse in book form.

3. Side by side the audio recording must be made available to margii readers. That way we can ensure that indeed the published discourse perfectly matches what Baba spoke.

That is the full confirmation process as given by Guru. One need not take any other steps. What Guru spoke should appear in printed form. There is no wiggle room etc. The discourses must be published "as is."

Again, the real review process for confirming Baba's discourses is very simple. The discourse must be transcribed / checked with the sound file and then it should be published, making both the printed discourse and sound file available to all. And there should be a "live" on-line archive.

In Him,
Viireshvar

Dada Santosananda is propagating bogus things

Baba

Dada Santosananda is propagating bogus things

Namaskar,

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Shiva had only two arms, not four or six. Párvatii also had two arms." (1)

In His next guideline, Sadguru Baba again points out how Lord Shiva has 2 arms, not four or more arms.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "No goddess having eight or ten arms can be the wife of Shiva: He had only two arms." (2)

So in His above two teachings, Sadguru Baba points out how Lord Shiva has 2 arms, not four arms.

Cowardice approach: surrendering to Hindu dogma

Here below is the photo from the Bhakta Samaj magazine. In this image, Lord Shiva is depicted as having four arms. Ananda Marga philosophy rejects this dogma and states that Lord Shiva had two arms. These Bhakta Samaj magazine editors are compromising our Ananda Marga ideals in order to appease Hindu fundamentalists. There is a Hindu dogma that Lord Shiva has four arms and the Bhakta Samaj editor has surrendered to this Hindu dogma and accepted this myth that Lord Shiva has four arms. It is unfortunate.

Making Lord Shiva as mythological figure: These Bhakta Samaj in-charges are cowards. Not only that they are committing terrible sin. The editor is taking Lord Shiva who is a veritable personality of history and turning Him into a figure of mythology.

Here below is the photo from the Bhakta Samaj magazine (Feb 2016, page 25).

Suffice to say here that the main aim of our Ananda Marga magazines like Bhakta Samaj is to propagate the ideals of Ananda Marga. Hence the Bhakta Samaj magazine should be fully dedicated to presenting the ideals of Ananda Marga philosophy.

But on many occasions we see that the editors are doing the exact opposite. See this above photo from page 25 of the Bhakta Samaj magazine (Feb 2016) where they adopt the ways of the dogmatic Hindus and portray Lord Shiva as having four arms.

To appease Hindu dogmatic believers

The main reason they are doing this is is to appease Hindu dogmatic believers that - “We are aligned with you.” Yet by this way those Bhakta Samaj magazine editors are compromising with the teachings of Ananda Marga.

Sadly, when they have no courage to express this simple point that Lord Shiva did not have four arms, then how are they going to fight against more involved Hindus dogmas & exploitation.

in Him,
Ramsingh Yadav

What if this happened to you

If someone portrays you in a distorted manner - i.e. as having a severe birth defect of four arms - and furthermore presents you as a mythological figure for their own political gain, then surely you will not appreciate this.

Who is behind this sin

Directly or indirectly supporting any sin is also a sin. That is why I request these below listed good margiis not to associate themselves with this magazine. This magazine is propagating false things. So if any margiis supports this magazine, they will have to face the consequences of the cosmic operative principle - so watch out.  Below is the list of some of the names listed on the editor’s page.

Shrii Ravi Shankar (Bhagalpur)

A call to all margiis: Please ask these above margiis to think twice before supporting this anti-dharmic work, i.e. propagating false things which are against Ananda Marga.

Two other dogmas related with this photo

In the above photo, Lord Shiva is shown wearing a crown. And just above the crown to the left is a crescent moon. Plus Lord Shiva is shown as having a third eye-ball on his forehead. And that eye opens and shuts vertically. These two points - i.e. the crescent moon and the third eye-ball - are dogmatic. Our Ananda Marga philosophy wholly rejects these two dogmas. Such things have nothing to do with the historical Shiva. About this we will talk in the future.

See how this dada is so stupid

This email contains three sections:
1. Posting: See how this dada is so stupid
2. links

See how this dada is so stupid

Namaskar,

Note: Please first read this cited section in brown as review and then see new section further down.

On page 15 of Prajina Bharatii #250, there is one very objectionable article titled “Kalpataru” by Purodha Pramukha Ac Vishvadevananda Avt. In this article Dadaji is explaining the following shloka from Shrimadbhagwadgiitá - and preaching dogma.

This is our Purodha Pramukha Dada Vishvadevananda who is preaching the dogmatic Hindu philosophy that srsti cakra is linear. And he is completely disregarding Sadguru Baba's teachings on saincara and pratisaincara theory.

Here below is a scan of PP Dada Vishvadevananda’s article in Hindi from page 15 of Prajina Bharatii #250. Hindi readers will notice that PP Dada is propagating a bogus Hindu myth in the name of Ananda Marga.

According to PP Dada’s description, srs’ti (creation) is metaphorically compared to an upside-down tree whose roots are above while branches and leaves are below. Root is compared to Brahma which gets manifested into quiquelemental factors (painc’bhu’ta) and life forms culminating into humans. The leaves of this tree represent knowledge of Brahma.

The aforementioned description provided by Dadaji paints a picture of srs’ti to be linear. That is to say, Cosmic Consciousness metamorphoses into the quinquelelmental factors and then to       various life forms culminating into human beings. However, in such a linear setup, the only pathway for humans to reach back to their Cosmic Hub, i.e. Parama Purus’a, is by tracing a path back on the same linear trajectory, i.e. first by becoming quinquelemental factors and then to the Parama Purus’a. This is a dogmatic explanation as often found in Hindu religion. The picture looks like the following figure.

Now see the below photo of the creation myth of Hinduism - depicted as an inverted tree:

However, we know that this is not correct.

Ánanda Márga philosophy states, “Thus the entire creation has two phases. The first phase is the process of the transformation of subtle into crude and the second is that of crude into subtle.” (1)

According to Ánanda Márga, the srs’ti is oval and not linear as shown below.

Note: A link to this entire posting is appended in the link section.

See the stupidity of this dada

In the saincara phase of brahmacakra, when unit mind is created it passes through various stages of inanimate life forms; and then in the phase of pratisaincara the unit  mind slowly advances into higher and higher forms of living beings. Unicellular life forms grow into multicellular beings, and over time progress, and are born as developed  animals and then into human beings. Those developed humans who do sadhana sincerely finally directly merge into Parama Purusa - as presented in the below diagram.

Courtesy to an artist on Facebook who made this above diagram

According to the cycle of brahmacakra, human beings do not go in the reverse course in order to get Parama Purusa. That is evident by the above diagram and rudimentary to those who have studied the book, Ananda Marga Elementary Philosophy. In order to merge into Parama Purusa, humans do not revert back from where they have come and become dogs, then reptiles, then earthworms etc. If anyone does go in that negative direction it is due to their degrading activities. It means they have degenerated themselves. The Ananda Marga cycle of brahmacakra is oval not linear.

In stark contrast, the creation philosophy of Hinduism - depicted as an inverted tree (see note 1 below) - is bogus and false. Because it is linear and claims that humans go in reverse direction to attain the status of divinity.

Dada's
 ignorance about Ananda Marga philosophy

Sadly, according to the dogmatic Hindu description which PP Vishvadevananda adopted in his article appended below, humans go in the reverse direction to attain Parama Purusa.

Specifically, according to PP Vishvadevananda and Hindu dogma, in order for humans to reach Parama Purusa, they have to go back from where they have come. That means, in this defective linear model, humans will revert back to life as chimpanzees, and degrade further into other animals like dogs, horses, pigs and cows, and revert still more into lizards, bugs, until they enter the plant kingdom and become trees and bushes etc. Furthermore they will degrade into inanimate object like stone, and then turn into the fundamental factors, earth, fire, air, etc and finally unto Parama Purusa. That is the fallicious Hindu model which PP Dada espouses. All in all this model is utterly ludicrous.

Blind kingdom where idiots are...

Amazingly, when Dada Vishvadevananda does not know something then why he does he try to portray himself as a great scholar and give sermons of this dogmatic Hindu shloka which Baba never accepted in Ananda Marga philosophy.

By writing publicly in Prajina Bharatii, Dada Vishvadevananda exposes himself on the public platform. Indeed, it is very surprising that he went so far as to show himself in front of all. Not only that, since he wrote this, Dada Vishvadevananda has repeated this delirium in various speeches which he delivers here and there. So this article is not an isolated case. PP Dada truly thinks this is the grand point he got from the Hindu religion. And he brags about that. That this is the new explanation of creation theory of Ananda Marga.

In Ananda Marga, we have seen a few PP's. The first was Dada Shraddhananda – he was an idiot and ignorant in his own way, by writing so-called doggerel. However, Dada Vishvadevananda has since superseded Shraddhananda in his ignorance about the basics of Ananda Marga philosophy

Taken altogether, Dada Rudrananda has created a blind kingdom where idiots are occupying key posts and margiis and wts are barred from saying anything against PP Dada. So whatever nuisance PP Dada creates, people laugh at him - and they do not say anything. Thus Dada Vishvadevananda remains in the dark. That is how he is projecting this fallacious explanation of creation theory of Ananda Marga - he is propagating it with his ego.

Now it is my request to all intelligent magiis and wts to not overlook this issue. With great trouble Baba has given Ananda Marga philosophy to guide the entire society and now before our very eyes this philosophy is getting polluted. If we ignore this then we are also participating in the destruction of AM philosophy. That will be blasphemy. Nobody will be able to excuse us. Now then is the time to act.

In Him,
Ananda

Note: Credit goes to those artists who have beautifully created the above diagram accurately depicting the cycle of bhramacakra, or creation theory.

Note: A link to part 1 has been appended below.

Namaskar,

"In a bewildering and mostly hidden scheme a deal was brokered whereby the New Day School [Portland, Oregon, USA] would remain independent of Ranchi Administration. Many hands were in the pot in formulating this deal, and in the end SSNY Dada Vimalananda allegedly looted $300,000 USD. In turn Dada Vimalananda agreed to let the current Didi - i.e. Avadhutika Ananda Krsnapriya Acarya - keep the school in her control, independent of Ranchi."

See below photo: For his dealing in NY Sector, Dada Vimalananda (standing left) got a prize on the stage at DMS.

Questions and Answers

QUESTION #1: Why would Didi Ananda Krsnapriya (and ex Didi Ananda Atandra) agree to give $300,000 to Vimalananda? What was their motivation for letting him take that money? Did they have some type of secret pact?

ANSWER #1: The operating factor is that both ladies (Wt Didi and Ex-Wt Didi) wanted to keep the school as they have good income from the New Day School. And they knew that if they did not compromise with Dada Vimalananda then they will lose the buildings because buildings are in the name of Ananda Marga. Side by side Dada Vimalananda understood that he will get nothing if he just gets the buildings. Because those buildings would go to WWD (of H group).

So Dada Vimalananda offered, “Why not cash in on the weakness of these two ladies and get maximum money from them by brokering a deal for Ananda Marga property.” In this situation, a deal was struck.

QUESTION #2: What has Dada Vimalananda given to CWWS Ranchi.

ANSWER #2: CWWS Didi Abhisambuddha and Didi Ananda Dyotana have asked hundreds of times to give agreement paper. But Dada Vimalananda has not given them anything. And Centre also is not forcing Vimalananda to handover the paperwork to WWD. It is obvious Centre is also involved in this immoral activity.

Related issues

There are a number of other side issues surrounding this whole ordeal with the New Day School which also demand our attention. Such as:
(a) who sanctioned this huge payout
(b) where exactly did the money come from
(c) why an ex-WT Didi and an ex-Wt Dada are directors at the school
(d) and other questionable matters

Hopefully those items of concern will be investigated further and brought to the fore.

Dada Vimalananda, black money, Portland school

Baba

Dada Vimalananda, black money, Portland school

Namaskar,
Here is the sad story how those in the leadership of our Ananda Marga are only interested in following the money trail. This is about a hush-hush, back-door, alleged deal of $300,000 (USD). Here are some of the details of this murky landscape.

Below photo is of Dada Vimalananda:

Dada Vimalananda looted $300,000

After the split in NY due to the Denver court case, Ranchi Administration became the legal owner of many properties, including the New Day School (Portland OR, USA). Prior, this school was overseen by ex-Tiirthananda’s team.

Then in a bewildering and mostly hidden scheme a deal was brokered whereby the New Day School would remain independent of Ranchi Administration. Many hands were in the pot in formulating this deal, and in the end SSNY Dada Vimalananda allegedly looted $300,000 USD. In turn Dada Vimalananda agreed to let the current Didi - i.e. Avadhutika Ananda Krsnapriya Acarya - keep the school in her control, independent of Ranchi.

Centre not giving in to WWD’s fury

Still today, WWD is furious over this matter and trying to find out what type of deal was really made as the property is essentially theirs. CWWS Didi Ananda Sambuddha and Didi Ananda Dyotana have repeatedly requested documentation about this $300,000 deal - but to date not a shred of paperwork has come their way.

For now, the overarching number 1 item is how those at the top simply follow the money trail. They are willing to do anything and everything so long as the money ends up in their pocket.

That is why they are selling off our Ananda Marga properties around the globe and that is why this whole debacle occurred with the New Day School (Portland, USA). Of course, the egomaniac and self-obsessed Dada Rudrananda was pulling the strings from behind, and devoured the lion’s share of the looted booty.

Unethical thing in Prajiná Bháratii

Namaskár,
In the cosmic flow of pratisaincara, all of us are marching towards the Cosmic Hub, the Parama Puruśa. Our past samskáras, with which we are born, determine our distance from Parama Puruśa. After that, each human being, without any bar can perform dharma sádhná and burn one’s samskára by His grace. Getting diikśa (initiation) into Ánanda Márga (the path of bliss) is also a step in this glorious journey towards Him. However, as one enters the Márga one may still have a stifling burden of past samskáras and still carry some dogmas of past beliefs. Moving forward without renouncing these dogmas is impossible. Prárthná or prayer is one such dogma that many people carry forward from other religions or faiths into Ánanda Márga (AM). Bábá has emphatically spoken about the inferior nature of prayer based worship in numerous places.

Ananda Sutram teaches us:

            Prárthanárcaná mátraeva bhramamúlam.
[Prayer and ritualistic worship [[are but]] a source of confusion.]

“Purport: It is useless to pray to God for something, for He is sure to give what is necessary. Solicitation or importunity in the name of worship is nothing but toadyism and flattery.” (1)

In Ananda Marga there is no credence or value given to prayer. In spite of this clear guideline from the Guru, there is a poem published in Prajiná Bháratii (PB) magazine #249 entitled “Prárthná.” See the scan below:

Prayer means blaming God

Regarding prárthná or prayer Baba has given the following.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Prayer is the act of asking for a favour with earnestness. It also means a solemn petition addressed to the Supreme Being for certain benefits. One prays to God for something which one does not possess or thinks one does not possess. One asks God for these favours with the faith that He alone can bestow everything and by His mere wish all wants can be satisfied. By prayer or by begging one wants to awaken His wish so that one may be granted the things one lacks. Does not one’s attempt to rouse the wish of God to fulfil these needs, upon careful and rational thinking, appear to be a reminder to God to give one something of which God has kept one deprived? It would otherwise not be necessary to remind Him in prayer of that thing or to try to arouse His wish to give. For instance, if one is in need of money, one would, with the faith that God alone can give, pray to Him for the favour of giving one money. Does not this request show God’s fault in keeping one in want of money, when He alone can give it? God alone is blamed for it, and by praying to Him for money one is precisely pointing out to Him His partiality in not giving one the money one needed. Therefore, prayer or asking for favours from God is only pointing out to the Sole Giver His mistakes in the distribution of His favours. It only presumes lack of impartiality in Him, and that is why He is blamed for making some very rich and others very poor. Praying to God for favours is only to bring to His notice the charge of partiality levelled against Him. When prayer leads to such a conclusion, it is only ignorance to ask for favours. One who performs actions will also bear the consequences, and blaming God for it as His partiality is not going to save one from bearing the consequences.” (2)

Thus the notion of “prayer” is very negative and anti-spiritual.

Prajiná Bháratii being a magazine to do pracár of Ananda Marga should be particularly careful in editing the contents and contributions. Due care should be exercised in sanitizing the published items in Prajiná Bháratii in order to align them with the main objective of doing pracár. Sloppiness of this type in allowing title of a poem to be “Prárthná” can lead to the negative pracár of the Ananda Marga.

Summary

Thus we see that the very notion of prayer or prárthaná is very negative and anti-spiritual as per AM ideology. Prajiná Bháratii enjoys a special status of being a vehicle for AM pracár and thus should be extra careful in editing its contents. The poem published in Prajiná Bháratii #249 with a title prárthaná is highly objectionable and must not have been published. In addition, Prajiná Bháratii editors should learn lessons from this incident to exercise due care in future.

in Him,
Bhakti

Pitiful: just see what PP did

Namaskar,
On page 15 of Prajina Bharatii #250, there is one very objectionable article titled “Kalpataru” by Purodha Pramukha Ac Vishvadevananda Avt.

Here below is a scan of PP Vishvadevananda’s article in Hindi from page 15 of Prajina Bharatii #250. Hindi readers will notice that PP Dada is propagating a bogus Hindu myth in the name of Ananda Marga.

Once again, above is a scan of PP Vishvadevananda’s article in Hindi from page 15 of Prajina Bharatii #250.

According to Ánanda Márga, srs’ti is not linear, but rather oval - as shown below:

When Dada Vishvadevananda does not know Ananda Marga philosophy then why does he try to portray himself as a great scholar of Marga teachings, and preach dogmatic Hindu mythology on the platform of Ananda Marga. Why does he like to show others that he is a fool.

in Him,
Bhakti

Causes of prostitution

Prout philosophy states, "Those who shudder at the sight of various social vices and lament, “Everything is lost; righteousness is gone; morality has vanished…” should realize that among all the causes behind this so-called all-round degeneration, social injustice is the principal one."

"Because of injustices against women with respect to their social rights and because women are economically crippled, a section of women is compelled to take to prostitution. Although there are many causes of this profession, these are the main two."

"Ananda Marga recognizes that women are as dignified human beings as men. Ananda Marga, in addition, wants to encourage women to be economically independent of men. The system in which characterless men swagger about in society while fallen women are denied proper opportunities despite their sincere desire to lead an honest life, can never be supported by justice. Women who desire to lead an honest life must be given a respectable place in society." (1)

Weaving textures of colours on their eyelids

“The humans of today are possessed of spirited intellect and accomplished wisdom. They are keen to advance with rapid step shattering the shackles of dogmas. They will no longer be entrapped by the illusion of opportunism. The rays of the crimson dawn of a new humanity on the eastern horizon have started weaving textures of colours on their eyelids and in the subtle recesses of their minds. As for those who have been dreaming of keeping humanity imprisoned by dogmas, their days are numbered; their blissful dreams are being shattered to pieces. I call upon all enlightened people and say: “Go ahead with courage. The humanity has been awaiting you. Establish it in the excellence and grandeur of glory.” (Ananda Vanii #53)

What is heaven and hell

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Svarloka – this is the pure mental sphere on which sukha and dhuka are experienced; it is also called Manomaya Jagat, Manomaya Kośa in individuals. It is in this sphere that the saḿskáras exist. According to mythology, after the death of the physical body or Annamaya Kośa, people go to svarga or naraká, heaven or hell. The fact is that the saḿskáras which determine the individuality of unit being situated in this svarloka. The Christian and Muslim ideas of heaven and hell and also svarga in Hindu Karmakandi Jaemini Partná, were derived from the fact that the saḿskáras which determine the requitals of actions exists exits in this loka. In reality no kośa will remain after death. The saḿskáras remains as the object of the átman. Thus the ideas of heaven and hell of the Hindu, Christian and Muslim mythologies are completely false, because after death there remains no mind at all to experience heaven or hell.” (1)

Note: After death the mind is dormant so one can’t experience anything. It is well-known that so-called heaven or hell is here on earth.

Mahaprayan of one family acarya

Baba

This email contains two sections:
1. Announcement: Mahaprayan of one family acarya
2. Reflection: Re: Mahaprayan of A'ca'rya' Janak Kishori Devi

Mahaprayan of one family acarya

Namaskar,
It is with much sadness that we share with you news of the mahaprayan (death) of respected family Acarya Chandra Deva jii of Tata Nagar - his mahaprayan occurred on 11 January 2016 at 12:30pm.

On this solemn occasion of Acaryaji's mahaprayan, surely all will recall his many contributions to the Marga and his life as an ardent sadhaka and dedicated disciple of the Lord - Shrii Shrii Anandamurti jii. Indeed, respected Chandra Devaji had a long and meaningful history in AMPS life.

During the grand occasion of the 1984 Tata Nagar DMC, Ac Chandra Deva jii was the main organiser and he inspired one of his family members to become Wt. Due to the great success of this DMC and Acarya jii's serious involvement and dedication, Baba praised him in front of all at the final general darshan. Baba told that the DMC at Tata Nagar was the successful culmination of a long tour of DMC's in 1984, starting in Deoghar. That day, Baba praised Acaryaji in such a very tender manner - hearing this, Chandra Devaji started crying.

May we all take solace in the fact that our dear family acarya Chandra Deva jii was a devotee of Sadguru Baba. Certainly he will attain mukti or moksa, accordingly. Baba will lovingly bestow His grace and he will remain under His Supreme shelter.

at the lotus feet of Baba,
Ramdev

Note 1: "Mahaprayan" means death of mortals - confirm for yourself
from the Samsad Bengali-English Dictionary

Mahaprayan (Death): Many are aware that mahaprayan (death) is the common term used in India and especially in Bengal to describe the death of any human being, even ordinary people. In that way, the obituary columns of the newspapers of Bengal regularly cite the mahaprayan (death) of various persons of society who died or passed away.

Some may get confused and wrongly think that the word 'mahaprayan' (death) is one extraordinarily devotional term to be used in association with Parama Purusa. But that is not at all the case. Rather to do so is only to undermine the eternal presence of Parama Purusa. That is why no devotees ever use the word 'mahaprayan' in reference to Lord Shiva or Lord Krsna. Because Lord Shiva and Lord Krsna exist eternally. Then there is no question of Their mahaprayan (death).

Baba is Parama Purusa so He is eternal and there is no question of His mahaprayan.

Here it should be known that the convention of an annual death day ceremony (i.e. shraddhainjali or mahaprayan) is a foundation of the Islamic tradition. Muslims are well known for this, and their approach of an annual death day ceremony was adopted by the leader of a particular group in AMPS. So no one should think that mahaprayan is some type of sacred event. It is done on the death day anniversary of Muslims.

And for those who need still more technical proof then all this can be clarified quite readily by referencing the dictionary. Specifically in the Samsad Bengali-English dictionary on page 742. Checking there it will be confirmed that the word 'mahaprayan' means death. Which is why it is used to refer to the passing away of even common citizens.

Note 2: Mahaprayan is only for humans not for Sadguru

Here it should be qualified that there is both real mahaprayan and fake mahaprayan. Real mahaprayan marks the death of any ordinary human being, just like the aforesaid news. This is the proper use of the term: To note a person's departure from this earth. That is the meaning of the mahaprayan term and that is the standard way the term is used in Indian languages.

Then there is the fake, or so-called, or dogmatic mahaprayan. That is when certain vested interests try to apply the mahaprayan term to Parama Purusa Himself. This is grossly inappropriate because when Parama Purusa Sadguru Baba is that Divine Entity who is beginningless and endless and resides always in our heart, then it is entirely wrong to proclaim that He is gone.

That is why rational margiis are protesting; because the Oct 21st program is so-called mahaprayan. So-called means that something is fake. Parama Purusa is eternal, thus for some vested interests to declare "mahaprayan of Parama Purusa" is nothing but so-called mahaprayan.

Mahaprayan only really happens in the case of human beings, not Parama Purusa. Those doing mahaprayan for Sadguru are hypocrites.

Note 3: Story: Sitting on Baba's lap means died?

Recently after dharmacakra, a senior margii was recounting his experiences of having dharma samiiksa with Baba.

He said, "After being punished by Baba, then He called me close and placed me on His lap - I remained there for some time soaking up His love - and He blessed me."

We all enjoyed hearing about his personal account with Baba during dharma samiiksa. When he finished telling his story, there was a call for questions. Various people posed their queries.

"How did Baba bring you back to life?"

Towards the end, one new margii raised his hand and asked, "How did Baba bring you back to life?"

Everyone stared at the new margii in amazement. There was a look of astonishment all around - people were really shocked to hear him say this.

The new sadhaka sensed that something was awry.

He said very matter-of-factly, "I thought that sitting on Baba's Lap means that he (the margii) died - that is why I asked that question."

This was quite eye-opening for those of us in the room: Through our language and expression we had unknowingly taught someone to think that being on Baba's lap is the equivalent of death. Because it seems that nowadays people only use the phrase "Baba's lap" when a person has died, such as "Let him rest peacefully in Baba's lap", as if in order to sit on Baba’s lap one has to die. But that is false. Sincere sadhakas regularly sit on Baba’s lap in their meditation. It is His grace. It is just like a child need not die in order to sit on hi father’s lap.

Confusion about sitting on Baba's lap

At that moment I thought that everyone, new and old, should be clear about the real and devotional meaning of this phrase, "being on Baba's lap." It should not become stigmatized such that it only means death. Because in its true sense, the phrase "being on Baba's lap" really does carry a highly devotional and sweet feeling.

It is just like how a small child sits on its parent's lap. In a similar way, a spiritual child (human being) sits on the lap of Parama Purusa. By Baba's grace this can happen anytime in one's sadhana, especially in dhyana. Such a phrase then should not become  stigmatized because too many people only use it at the time of death.

We should be careful that we do not relegate "Baba's lap" only to the point of death.

The connotation of death must not become synonymous with "being on Baba's lap." Because the phrase - "being on Baba's lap" - is a devotional experience that can happen today itself in sadhana, and especially in dhyana. The phrase "being on Baba's lap" should not lose this quality and only mean death. It should not meet the same dark fate as happened with the term harijan. Nowadays, for the occasion of death / mahaprayan, 99.9% of the time people use the phrase "on Baba's lap", and for devotional stories the phrase "on Baba's lap" is used 0.01% of the time. That is why - for devotional purposes - this phrase is already included on the endangered species list.

Lest meet same fate as "harijan"

As we all know, these days in India nobody uses the term harijan to mean "a devotee". Whereas 70 years ago it was used in that way. The term harijan did mean bhakta. But ever since the time of Gandhi when he glued the harijan term to the lowest so-called caste, i.e so-called untouchables, nobody uses the the harijan to mean devotee. Never. Because the term harijan has been stigmatized to mean "untouchable". Nobody uses it to mean "devotee", but that is the original and true meaning of the word.

The phrase, "sitting on Baba's lap", should not meet a similar fate. It should not lose its devotional quality and just refer to one's death. That will be very negative.

Baba would bless devotees and place them on His lap

There are tens of thousands of recorded stories by sadhakas where they use the phrase, "on Baba's lap", when describing their experiences of being with Baba: He used to bless them and bring them on His lap.     People should understand the deeply devotional value of this expression, and not just think that Baba's lap means death, i.e. that you can only sit on His lap at the time of death. Still today there are thousands of margiis walking this earth who sat in Baba's lap. And not only that, there are countless more sadhakas who were blessed by Baba in dreams and dhyana wherein they sat in His lap. And still today this deeply devotional experience is attainable by sadhakas, by His grace.

There are so many ways an aspirant can reach unto Baba's lap including in sadhana and especially during dhyana. That is the main idea that should be preserved. Sadhana is a devotional practice and one can sit on Baba's lap in dhyana. We should make it cent-per-cent clear to one and all that the phrase, "sitting on Baba's lap", does not mean death.

Dogma:
if "on Baba's lap" only used for death

Here are quoted lines from recently posted emails on various forums, wherein the writer uses the phrase - "in Baba's lap" - with the occasion of death:

- "May he rest in HIS loving lap of eternity."

- "We are sure that Baba has taken him in His loving lap."

- "May his soul rest in Baba's lap forever."

- "Let her rest peacefully in Baba's Lap - which she always desired."

- "now he is in beloved Baba's lap"

- "May his soul get peaceful place in His lap"

- "He is now in BÁBÁ'S loving lap"

- "May Baba bless him with a seat in His lap."

- "May BABA accept him in HIS divine lap!"

- "May Baba take him in his eternal loving lap."

- "Please keep him on Your lap forever."

All of the above lines are commonly written in eulogizing the deceased. Of course, it is fine to write like that. Here the point is that this same phrase "in Baba's lap" should also be used when describing one's devotional practices and experiences. But these days mostly it is used in a eulogy and rarely used to recount one's devotional experiences - unfortunately. By this way, the phrase "in Baba's lap" is being misused and step by step the real meaning is being forgotten as now people more commonly use the phrase to eulogize those who have died, and much less so to express their devotional feeling. Unfortunately, the meaning and inner spirit of the phrase is getting lost.

Here again is the central idea:

The idea is that this phrase - Baba's lap - has been linked with death due to extreme overuse. So for some time if sadhakas use this phrase exclusively for devotional purposes, that will be best.

Re: Mahaprayan of A'ca'rya' Janak Kishori Devi

Dear Sharadaji,

Thanks for your mail to inform about the death of Janak Kishoriji. I was informed by Sitaramji about her passing away. I knew her personally. I am really unfortunate to have missed her cremation due to my inability to do so. She has remained so affectionate to remain always in my memory.

Mahaprayan of A'ca'rya' Janak Kishori Devi

Baba

Mahaprayan of A'ca'rya' Janak Kishori Devi

Dear brothers and sisters:

Namaskar,

With deep pain I share with you the news of the mahaprayan (death) of respected A'ca'rya' Janak Kishori Devi. She was 100 years old. Her mahaprayan (death) occurred in the evening of 28th Dec 2015 in Patna. She was a true example - both in life and death.

A'ca'rya Janak Kishori received her initiation in 1961. By His grace she become an a'carya' in the year 1965. She was blessed with the experience of intense spiritual realisation throughout her long life. That is why she remained the epitome of hope and a source of unending inspiration to all those who came in her contact, including those whom she initiated.

As a sincere and dedicated sadhika' she was a humble person and remained active all her life as an exemplary disciple. Even while dying she retained her consciousness. She is a rare example of a family a'ca'rya’ for her flawless conduct. She earned Baba's public appreciation for her outstanding conduct. As Parama Purus'a Baba reestablished the age-old promise of "Yogasksemamvahamham" through her life.

May we all take solace in the fact that our dear A'ca'rya' Janak Kishori Devi was a devotee of Sadguru Baba. Certainly she will attain mukti or moksa, accordingly. Baba will lovingly bestow His grace and she will remain under His Supreme shelter.

In Him,
Sharada

PS: Her husband Shrii Devakinandan was also a dedicated sadhaka and a'ca'rya. At the time of her death, her three daughters and a son were present - along with their families.

Note 2: Mahaprayan is only for humans
Sadguru is eternal

The idea is that this phrase - Baba's lap - has been linked with death due to extreme overuse. So for some time if sadhakas use this phrase exclusively for devotional purposes, that will be best.
