Parama Purusa vs Bhagavan + 3 more

Baba
Parama Purusa vs Bhagavan

Note: This letter is only for those who have reverence for Sadguru Baba Shrii Shrii Anandamurti ji and try to follow His Ananda Marga ideology.

Namaskar,

Taraka Brahma is so much more than Bhagavan. Bhagavan is only comprised of six attributions - which any human can attain - while Taraka Brahma is so much more than that.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “The combination of all these six attributes [aeshvarya, viirya, yasha, shrii, jiṋána and vaerágya] is called bhaga, and he who is the owner of this bhaga, that is, he who is owner of these six attributes, is called bhagaván. By sádhaná an ordinary man can become bhagaván – after acquiring bhaga, these six attributes.” (1)

Taraka Brahma is above bhagavan

As we know, there are many bhagavans and Ananda Marga philosophy guides us that both Buddha and Shankaracarya were bhagavan. Yet Bhagavan Buddha and Bhagavan Shankaracarya are not Taraka Brahma, nor are they Parama Purusa. Bhagavan is far lower as it is anyone in human form who gains those six attributions - aeshvarya, viiryam, yasha, shrii, jina'nam, and vaera'gya,  by dint of their sadhana. In contrast, Taraka Brahma is far higher.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “All the qualities that are present in Saguńa Brahma or Iishvara (Qualified Consciousness) are of course also present in Parama Puruśa, with some other qualities as well. So we see that Parama Puruśa is both Iishvara and Bhagaván, and something more than that.” (2)

Baba is far, far above

Throughout Ananda Marga literature, Parama Purusa is the main term used to refer to the Supreme Consciousness. Here the foundational attribution of Parama Purusa is the witness-ship of everyone and everything across all time and space. He is there covert in each and every entity - everywhere. Verily, there are so many discourses in AM philosophy declaring that Parama Purusa is the Supreme Witnessing Entity.
http://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Parama Purusa is the Creator of this universe, and Bhagavan is not. Any person who does sadhana can become a bhagavan. For instance, Shankaracarya and Buddha achieved this status. They had to do sadhana and undergo all sorts of penance in order to achieve their limited status of bhagavan.

In contrast, Parama Purusa is Parama Purusa. He does not need to do any sadhana. By His own will He takes human form to liberate others. He is beyond all the bondages. So for Him there is no need of any sadhana. He does not need to do anything in this regard.

Parama Purusa is Mayadhiisha, i.e. the Controller of maya, not mayadhiina, i.e. bound my maya. Only Parama Purusa lords over maya, while all those various bhagavans are firmly under maya's rule and control. So the infinite glory of Parama Purusa towers far above the comparatively position of bhagavan.

Bhagavan is far less than Taraka Brahma

Ananda Marga philosophy outlines in a step by step manner the meaning of bhagavan, such as in the book, Namami Krsnasundaram. There it clearly describes that bhaga means the combination of six attributions: aeshvarya, viirya, yasha, shrii, jina'nam, and vaera'gya.

So first AM teachings illustrate what is meant by the term bhagavan - i.e. anyone who achieves the aforementioned six qualities. Then in a grand comparison, AM philosophy gives an example how Taraka Brahma Parama Purusa is much more than this.

Suffice to say here that this type of divine guarantee of freeing one from sin cannot be given by some ordinary being like a bhagavan. Such a proclamation guaranteeing the liberation of one's sins can only be given by the Taraka Brahma Himself.

Namaskar,
In Him,
Amara

Prout & intuitional vision

Prout philosophy states, “The approach of PROUT is subjective approach through objective adjustment. This presupposes a connecting link between intuition and intellect. This connecting link or touching point is called “Bodhi Jiṋána”. With the help of Bodhi Jiṋána, intuitional knowledge can be utilized for solving mundane problems. Thus PROUT is a Bodhi Jiṋána.”
“Logic is a psychic survey. Such a survey may or may not be correct, therefore it is futile to follow logic blindly. The result of your psychic survey is called your rationality. This psychic survey, embedded in relativity, may or may not be correct. Intuitional vision is the best logic. Intuitional vision should be your guiding ideology. For example, it is an axiomatic truth that everything has come from the Cosmic Father and everything will merge in Him, but this truth is beyond the scope of intellectual logic.” (1)

Special method of pracara

Ananda Marga philosophy guides us, "Even in private life when a person behaves with you badly or uses harsh words, don't behave with him in the same manner. You shall explain to him his duties gently. In case, anyone has a wrong impression, you shall show him the right path without scolding (abusing) him. Make it clear to him if possible with practical demonstration how harmful may be the effect of such habits. But always keep this in mind that in such cases your behavior must be like that of a friend, and never like that of an instructor. Your only object will be to get your advice accepted by him. The idea that he is fool and you are wise is not desirable in any party." (1)
Note: In His above teaching Baba is outlining an important pracar technique. Specifically, when speaking with non-margiis, we should talk with them in a soft and gentle manner, using a friendly, supportive tone. By this way they will gradually learn Ananda Marga ideals. Baba also addressed non-margiis in this manner. And then with more established sadhakas - i.e. experience Ananda Margiis - Baba was more firm to best enhance their progress.
