In the beginning when Prabhat Samgiita was introduced in 1982, then the great question at hand was, “Why had all these days passed before Baba gave Prabhat Samgiita?” In contrast, He made 16 points in 1970, and verily so many new rules and teachings were introduced soon thereafter. Kaoshiki was given when He came out from jail. Yet, we also know that Parama Purusa does everything in a timely way. And on one occasion Baba Himself gave the reply. He told that before 1982, margiis were not ready to receive Prabhat Samgiita. So this was the cause of the delay.

Even today, still some are confused about Prabhat Samgiita. Or, in direct language we can say they are not ready to receive it. To understand Prabhat Samgiita, it needs a deeply spiritual mind that is absorbed in sadhana. The crude mind cannot understand the taste of Prabhat Samgiita. Nowadays, some who are appreciating Prabhat Samgiita do so under the banner of the tune, melody, and music only. With their limited reception, they do not realize the spiritual charm which is saturated in each and every Prabhat Samgiita. It is beyond their reach. That's why such people treat Prabhat Samgiita as just a musical tool.

Here the point is not to disregard the tune, melody, and music; but, Prabhat Samgiita is not uniquely special for its musical quality alone. For example, if a daughter describes the beauty of her mother's handwriting and in that appreciation forgets the heartfelt loving expression of the letter she received from her mother, then that description has missed the main quality and value of that letter.

The grand scope of Prabhat Samgiita is not limited only to the tune, melody, and music. Prabhat Samgiita has much more to offer than that. The soul of Prabhat Samgiita has deep spiritual meaning and flow. And up till now, that quality has not been propagated so much to the public.

Off and on, various Prabhat Samgiita programs have been held in different parts of Bengal and Bihar. But unfortunately in those programs, this unique quality of Prabhat Samgiita has been grossly overlooked. For example, one RAWA cassette prominently displayed the pictures of pseudo-culture, film stars / commercial singers. If anybody sees cassette RC 058 and the picture of one lady singer portrayed with a painted face, nobody will understand that this cassette is for a spiritual purpose. By all this, margiis will easily understand that in the last 30+ years, Prabhat Samgiita has been pushed aside from its original track.

The approach taken in different cultural programs has been to emphasize the musical side to earn money, whereas the intimate spiritual message has been lagging far behind. The taste of Prabhat Samgiita can be enjoyed by bhaktas only. Those whose heart is dry do not understand the sweetness, charm, and vibration of Prabhat Samgiita.

If we are not alert


If we margiis and WTs are not alert, then more and more dogma will sneak into and be introduced in our AMPS. In the darkness of night, many wild creatures start coming out from the bush and move all around. Similarly, if we keep ourselves aloof or live in the dark, then our Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha will turn into a pool of dogma. Yet, rational margiis and WTs are getting more and more aware and will recognize dogma, in which case that dogma will be removed easily. To recognize dogma etc, a proto-psycho-spiritual mentality is needed, which Baba has described in Liberation of Intellect Neohumanism chapter "An Ideology for a New Generation".  Those doing sadhana have a proto-psycho-spiritual mentality. For them, recognizing dogma is not difficult. That’s why Baba's teaching is that our future is bright.

History: incident with Raghunath


The proverb - "Bandar kya' jane adarak ka' swad" - means that the monkey does not understand the subtle, refined taste of delicious recipes. Similar is the case with those who lack bhakti: They don't like to participate in and enjoy Prabhat Samgiita.

Take the case of the former president Raghunathji when he preferred to sit on the chair in front of the margiis and demanded that a few more Prabhat Samgiita be sung. He wanted to listen, as if bhaktas were feeling grateful to sing in his favour. Or as if Prabhat Samgiita was going on for him.

It seems that Raghunathji did not participate in singing Prabhat Samgiita in the various programs. Rather, he preferred to display the drama as if Prabhat Samgiita is sung in his honor. That's why when he finished his speech, he requested the audience for one more Prabhat Samgiita and the requested song was, ""Ogo Prabhu tomake ami bhalobasi", "Oh my Lord, I love You."

In the Indian history in black letters it is written that the king of Delhi was praised as "Dilhi Isvaro Jagadisvaro Va". 'The King of Delhi is the King of the Universe. God Himself.' Baba has mentioned in His discourse. And Baba warned that people should not do such stupid things. Because God is only one. The King of Delhi cannot be God. But we saw the unfortunate scene, sitting on the seat of president, when Raghunathji was requesting margiis to sing the Prabhat Samgiita to please him. And he is sitting in the front on the chair facing towards the margiis, and posing as if bhaktas were sitting on the floor singing songs in the glory of Raghunathji. And the various PP’s have done similar things. Whereas, a true bhakta will not like to sit on the chair when all margiis are sitting on the ground and singing for Baba.
