Watch out: Fake cannot give you full benefit

Namaskar,
If you are sincerely taking medicine and later on you found that it was fake then how will you feel. In a similar case, if you purchase something thinking it to be authentic gold and you invested everything, and later on you found it to be fake gold that will be a very bad experience.

A similar thing is going on with regards to Ananda Vaniis. Margiis are getting befooled. A few times a year they are mostly fed fake Ananda Vaniis. Some uninformed margiis recite
Fake Vaniis thinking them to be real. But such Fake Ananda Vaniis will never give them any benefit. How can a Fake Ananda Vanii give the benefit as derived from real Ananda Vaniis. They cannot.

It is just like how a quack doctor cannot treat you, rather he will put your health in jeopardy. Similarly how can a fake Ananda Vanii give you the same outcome as a true and authentic Ananda Vanii.

How False Vaniis can be identified

Now the question is: How can a simple margii recognise what is a Fake Ananda Vaniis and what is a true Ananda Vanii? Just follow this easy, step-by-step approach.

#1: The first step is not to accept it at face value. If a group leader labels it as an Ananda Vanii then do not trust it.

#2: Baba has graciously enlisted all His authentic Ananda Vaniis in His book: “Ánanda Váńii Saḿgraha: A Collection of the Spiritual Messages of Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrti.” So just open that book and search for the “Ananda Vanii” given by that group leader etc. If that vanii is in Baba’s Ananda Vanii Samgraha book then it is an authentic Ananda Vanii. And if that “Ananda Vanii” is not present in the Ananda Vanii Samgraha book then it is a Fake Ananda Vanii and it should be thrown away. Such a so-called vanii will not help you.

#3a: Remember, if the “Ananda Vanii” distributed by some group is not found in the Ananda Vanii Samgraha book then it is Fake.

Fake Vaniis: waste of time, money, and mental energy

#3b: If the “Ananda Vanii” distributed by some group is not present in the Ananda Vanii book and is instead from somewhere else - then it is Fake. Because Baba’s Ananda Vaniis are limited to those present in His Ananda Vanii book. And only those Ananda Vaniis from Baba’s Ananda Vanii Samgraha book will give you the real benefit of a true Ananda Vanii.

Just like the scan appended at the bottom of this email is a Fake Ananda Vanii - it is not from the Ananda Vanii book. In that case, that so-called Ananda Vanii will not be fruitful for you.

How to realise the full benefit

All in all it is just like you are repeating certain words that are not approved as a mantra - that is useless. The conclusion is that Fake Ananda Vaniis will not give you any benefit. They are no different from planting mouldy seeds. Those rotten seed will never sprout and deliver a crop. Similar is the case with Fake Ananda Vaniis - they have no value and should be thrown away as soon as possible.

For example, here is the so-called Ananda Vanii that is being distributed by one group for this year’s 2015 Ananda Purnima celebration. Immediately, anyone can see that it is a Fake Ananda Vanii as it is not from His Ananda Vanii Samgraha book. If you scour the entire Ananda Vanii Samgraha book then you will not find this below scanned so-called Vanii. Then you know it is fake and that Fake Ananda Vanii will not give you the benefit of an authentic Ananda Vanii. It will just be a waste of time.

Final remedy

So then what should one do? Just open the Ananda Vaniis Samgraha book and select any Ananda Vanii from that very book and use that Ananda Vanii on the occasion of Ananda Purnima 2015. That Ananda Vanii only give you full benefit.

Remember Fake Ananda Vaniis are useless - no matter how many times it is read it will not have any value.

Namaskar,
in Him,
Kanan Banerjee

Note 1: Must guide others as well

Just using the real Ananda Vanii for one’s own personal benefit is not enough. It is the duty of every Ananda Margii to guide others as well so all may be benefited by true Anand Vaniis.

Note 2: If you do not have the book

If you do not have Sadguru Baba’s publication -  “Ánanda Váńii Saḿgraha: A Collection of the Spiritual Messages of Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrti” - then let us know and we will provide it to you - for your benefit.

Story: coward, in trying to appease all, he irritates all + 2 more

Story: coward, in trying to appease all, he irritates all

Note: This letter is linked with the letter - "If death ceremony (shraddha) is not done..." - that was just posted. Please find the link below.

Namaskar,
Recently, one supposed margii S died. Throughout S’s life, he and his family members always preferred Hindu rituals from A to Z, over Ananda Marga.

So when S died his cremation was done according to the Hindu rituals as per his wish. But from a distance, two indentured Wts (see note 1) - i.e. Dada B & Dada P - tried to coerce margiis in that area to perform an Ananda Marga style cremation for S. But the cremation had already been done according to the Hindu tradition.

Those two indentured Wts (B & P) were goaded by the idea that, “I should follow the law of food loyalty.” So they tried to coax and convince margiis of that unit that at least the shraddha ceremony of the deceased should be done in the local jagrti - even without the participation of the grieving family members. Dada B and Dada P tried hard to convince local margiis; but those local margiis did not wish to impose our Ananda Marga shraddha ceremony on those grieving family members who were already involved in the Hindu death ceremony.

Everybody knows that that grieving person is the one who performs the Ananda Marga shraddha ceremony - no other person can do it for them. All others present will merely assist. So it was ludicrous to try to arrange the Ananda Marga shraddha ceremony in the absence of those in mourning.

In (death) shráddha ceremony who is really benefited

As we all know, in our Ananda Marga, the shraddha ceremony is done by the grieving family members for their own comfort. The deceased is not benefited in any way by this ceremony. It is exclusively done by the grief-stricken family to gain closure and overcome their pain.

Yet these two indentured Dadas were trying to coerce local family margiis to perform the shraddha ceremony. Yet margiis were not the ones most affected by S’s death. It was S’s family members who were so distraught - yet they were not going to be at the jagrti for the shraddha ceremony. Instead they were busy in their own dogmatic Hindu shraddha ceremony. So those two indentured Dadas were way off base in their attempt.

The AM shraddha ceremony is done by those who are grieving most. In this case of S’s death, there were two groups who were grief stricken: S’s family members and these two indentured wts. So these were the two parties that should have conducted the shraddha ceremony for the deceased’s family.

But neither of these two parties were present at the jagrti. S’s family was at their own house - approximately 50 km away from the jagrti - arranging a Hindu shraddha ceremony, and these two indentured were sitting 2000km from the scene, away from the jagrti. Yet they were trying to coerce margiis to do the shraddha for them in the jagrti. It was a bizarre scenario.

Sadguru Baba says, “The departed soul does not get any advantage from the shráddha ceremony [memorial ceremony].” (1)

One cowardly avadhuta J reached on the scene

In the meantime one cowardly avadhuta J reached on the scene and saw the tug-o-war that was going on:

(1) On the one side, those two indentured avadhutas, B & P (sitting in Kolkata), wanted to impose the Ananda Marga shraddha ceremony upon those grieving non-believers (grieving family members) in order to send the deceased to heaven.

(2) On the other side, those local margiis did not want to impose our Ananda Marga shraddha system on non-believers (grieving family members) who were already involved in the Hindu death ceremony.

To resolve the quarrel, Dada J came up with his own solution in order to appease everyone - i.e. the above two parties. Please go on reading later on it will be clear.

How “moment of silence” created more problem

Ultimately that cowardly avadhuta J decided to do a “moment of silence” in the jagrti. Dada J thought that this would appease all parties. But that was his miscalculation. Because a “moment of silence” is neither the Ananda Marga system nor a Hindu ritual.

So the margiis were wondering why Dada J used this pseudo-culture approach of a “moment of silence” in our Ananda Marga when, “Already we have our own ceremony for the grieving family when somebody dies. And this can be done when the and the grieving party wishes to observe it.”

And those two indentured avadhutas (B & P) were frustrated that this Dada J did this moment of silence - and not the full Ananda Marga shraddha ceremony. So it was not possible to send the deceased to heaven.

Finally, the family members of the deceased were also frustrated. They thought, “When we only want to do only Hindu rituals, why are you imposing something else on the grieving family.

Thus all were frustrated by this cowardly Dada J calling for a “moment of silence.” Why “moment of silence is a nasty dogma and not supported by AM will be discussed further down.

A similar thing Dada Sumantrananda tried to do and he also miserably failed and I will write about this later on - in the future.

Why moment of silence was opposed

Those local margiis were opposing this “moment of silence” because it goes against Caryacarya. Because a “moment of silence” wrongly focuses on the deceased - not the grief-stricken mourners.

Dogmatic people observe a “moment of silence” to bring peace to the deceased, whereas in AM philosophy once the person dies there is nothing anyone can do for them.

That is why those margiis opposed the “Moment of silence ritual.” And their approach was dharmic.

Remember, the unit soul of the deceased is neither benefited nor harmed by the type of death ceremony etc.

Why “moment of silence” is pure dogma

Some wrongly calculate that the unit soul will be benefited by that moment of silence. But this is obviously not true. So margiis opposed this idea of bringing peace to the deceased by observing a moment of silence. Actually this dogma of a moment of silence is based on the common irrational approach shared by the major religions that one can help the deceased who is just wandering around. That is why ignorant, dogmatic people think that, “Since Mr X has died then I should help him for a moment so he will feel at peace.”

Actually, some margiis who are not aware of Ananda Marga philosophy think , “What is the loss in doing a moment of silence for the dead - it will just take a minute. Let everyone just close their eyes and help the person who died.” Sadly those dogmatic & confused margiis cannot understand that by doing this they are validating the dogma of crafty priests that the deceased can be rescued and saved from suffering. They think that by thinking of the deceased they are consoling that soul and taking him out of trouble. And as Ananda Margiis we must not indulge in this dogma - not on any level. It is very obvious - no living person can help or hurt the deceased. In order to exploit the deceased’s family, crafty priests invented this exploitative tool, i.e. dogma of securing the future of the deceased. In various religions it has different names but the overall theme and import is the same.

So this “moment of silence” is just a dogma.

Cowardly avadhuta J frustrated everybody

That is the story how this cowardly Dada J tried to appease everyone by conducting a “moment of silence”, in the end he frustrated everyone - no one liked or approved of what he did.

Q & A What is the best solution

The question then arises - “What is the best solution?”

Answer: The ideal solution is to follow dharma. Do not care who is happy or frustrated - don’t try to appease anyone, just follow the dharmic code. In result, in due course, all will be satisfied. That is the beautiful outcome when one adheres to and implements dharmic practices.

And in this particular case, the dharmic approach is not to impose the AM shraddha ceremony upon the grieving family members that wish to observe dogmatic religious rituals etc. According to Caryacarya, we must not impose AM customs on others and go against their religious sentiments.

The ideal in AM is to psychologically convince others and bring into AM - not coerce others like terrorists do.

Who is who in this entire episode

Now is time to identify:
(a) who is the cowardly avadhuta J,
(b) where this incident took place,
(c) who was the deceased, and
(d) which two indentured avadhutas.

To get the answers please scroll down beneath dotted line

.  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .

(a) The cowardly avadhuta J who tried to appease everyone by observing a “moment of silence” is Ac Jyotiprakashananda Avt. In the end, he frustrated everyone.

(b) This incident took place in Vishakhapattanam (Andhra Pradesh) India.

(c) The deceased is Shrii Gopal Shastrii; it was he and his family who always preferred Hindu rituals over the dharma of Ananda Marga.

(d) Those two indentured avadhutas of diseased Shastrijii are Ac Bhaveshananda Avt & Ac Pranavatmakananda Avt. They were the ones who wanted to go against the wishes of the family and impose the AM shraddha ceremony on non-believers (grieving family members) in the local jagrti.

Takeaways

There are two main takeaways:
#1. Those who try to appease everyone will just make everyone upset.
#2. The only way to satisfy all is to follow dharma.

Namaskar,
in Him,
A. Venkatraman

Note 1: Indentured Wts

The deceased margii S was as always giving Dadas B & P money and in return those Dada’s were always carrying out S’s wishes. That is why we say that Dada B and Dada P are indentured Wts. And now they want to carry out S’s final wish of going to heaven. That is why Dadas B & P were so involved and invested in this episode.

Note 2: Why not impose our AM customs on others

There is a key central reason why we do not impose our Ananda Marga customs on others.

Ahimsa - we do not want to wound the sentiments of others.

Suppose a communist leader died who held a high post in the locale of our AM jagrti. And suppose we made his effigy and performed the cremation according to the Ananda Marga system; then communists might become furious and livid. One day we might find that Muslim mullahs might did a similar thing with our of our avadhutas and made a tomb of an effigy of our avadhuta according to the tradition of the Koran (Quran). Then we Ananda Margiis would be displeased.

Note 3: Why were those two avadhutas so keen to perform the shraddha ceremony

against the will of those family members in mourning

Why were those two avadhutas so restless to perform the AM shraddha ceremony against the will of the grieving family members. Because since their childhood they were raised to believe that such ceremonies benefit the deceased. Those two avadhutas could not comprehend that the shraddha ceremony has nothing to do with the comfort or welfare of the deceased.

So they were restless to put their departed friend in heaven - even if that meant going against the wishes of the family. Those two avadhutas, B & P, wanted Shastri to get into the AM partition of heaven - not the Hindu section. They were thinking that Shastriji was looking down upon them from the sky and wondering why they were not helping him get into heaven by doing the shraddha ceremony; rather Shastri is just stuck on the doorstep. That is why B & P were trying hard to coax the margiis to help get Shastrii firmly placed in the AM side of heaven. Such is the degree of the ignorance of those two WTS - Ac Bhaveshananda Avt & Ac Pranavatmakananda Avt. They both wanted to impose our Ananda Marga shraddha system on non-believers (grieving family members) who were already involved in the Hindu death ceremony.

Unfortunately, those two avadhutas could not comprehend that the shraddha ceremony has nothing to do with the comfort or welfare of the deceased.

Why Dada Rudrananda is neglecting Dada S: heart attack and then drilled holes in his head

Baba

Why Dada Rudrananda is neglecting Dada S:

heart attack and then drilled holes in his head

Namaskar,

From Bhagalpur unit report:

Respected Acarya Sharanananda Avt is a senior worker of 77 years of age, but look at what he has had to endure. Not long back, Dada Sharanananda suffered a heart attack. Then after some time, one day Dada Sharanananda felt extremely weak & tingly throughout his limbs on the right side of his body. Immediately he went to the neurosurgeon who discovered that Dada Sharanananda was suffering from a brain hemorrhage, i.e. bleeding in the brain. The medical terminology for it was a subdural hematoma. This is extremely dangerous so the neurosurgeon took immediate action and drilled two holes in Dada Sharananandji’s skull / head. That was needed for his survival, and Dada Sharanananda was put on 5 different medicines that have a monthly cost of three thousand rupees (fifty USD each month) - a huge, on-going expense as Dada Sharanananda had no money.

And Dada Rudrananda did not permit any department of AMPS (Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha) to help Sharanananda because Sharanananda is from Nigamanandji’s H group faction - not Rudranandji’s faction. Ultimately, no financial help was offered / given to help cover his costs. Just Dada Sharanananda was left to manage this enormous burden on his own.

Lacking support, Dada Sharanananda in fix for monthly meds

Rudrananda made no gesture to help Dada Sharanananda in any way. The end result is that now at the age of 77 - and in failing health - Dada Sharanananda moves from place to place solely to collect money to pay his monthly medical / medicine bills. No one from the Rudrananda-led organisation has come to help or lend a helping hand. The situation is tragic and shocking. Who could think to treat a 77-year-old patient with a serious, life-threatening illness in this way. After his many years of dharmic service in Ananda Marga, Sharananandji is just looked upon as one suitcase or object by Dada Rudrananda - who could not think that Dada Sharanananda is a human being in a vulnerable and difficult position. So now Sharananandaji is essentially on his own to gather money for the meds he needs each month just to stay alive. That is his fate until his death.

Being the patient, it is not easy for him to step in between his two doctors when needed. Someone needs to come forward and help monitor the situation. Sadly, on this matter also, the organisation has been absent and unsupportive. They do not care. In it is deplorable.

Altogether this is a horrific affair whereby at the age of 77, and in the aftermath of a heart attack and brain hemorrhaging, Dada Sharanananda is left to his own devices - begging door-to-door seeking donations to try and pay for his monthly medicine bills. All this is squarely on Dada Sharanananda’s own shoulders. It is indeed a burden to carry as the Rudrananda faction has been utterly remiss in fulfilling their obligation - socially, morally, and personally.

Terminally-ill didi left to die

The above is not an  isolated incident - there are many more cases…

For instance, take the tragic case of DS(L) Salem (Tamil Nadu) in South India. Didiji became terminally ill and no one from the organisation helped her. The only option then was for her to return to her laokik home in WT dress to get proper treatment. There was no supportive efforts from the orgnaisation.

Don’t give cash - give as kind medicine / hospital

Unfortunately, at present, entire Food, Care, & Medical Dept has become quite dysfunctional. So don’t give cash, give as kind in the form of medicine / hospital expenses directly to the sick and infirmed.

One should investigate and ensure that their funds reach the intended cause. Without taking such steps, donations are often diverted elsewhere such as for a group-oriented court case, or luxurious lifestyle etc.

Unfortunately, there are numerous other cases where good Wts need nutritional support and medical care to restore their health, but often they are ignored or slighted. This is the theme of the day. Some Dadas have even died due to neglect in the realm of medical treatment.

Lack of spiritual feeling, Food, Care, & Medical Dept broke down

The root cause is that when one loses their sadhana and instead gets tangled in the web of favoritism, groupism, racism, and Wt nepotism then things can become awry. Then the unthinkable can happen. Then one might turn their back on those in need.

Tragically, that is the sad fate of the Food, Care, & Medical Dept in today's organisational climate.

As we all know, the basic spirit of Ananda Marga is to serve one and all, especially those in need.

Baba says, "Help the weak and the helpless in all possible ways." (CC-2, 'Society', pt# 7)

But at present, our Food, Care, & Medical Dept is not doing this. Here is one very recent and most tragic case example.

Nepotism and apathy: degrading factors

Because nepotism & apathy have taken hold of our Food, Care, & Medical Dept  wherein one only gets care if they are part of a certain click or faction and ready to lay down their life for group interest. Then care comes, otherwise not. But this is improper. The Food, Care, & Medical Dept should not become a groupist bargaining chip for receiving treatment.

In the name of welfare and help, huge money continues to pour into the Food and Care Dept but it gets swallowed up instead of being used in a neo-humanistic manner. Actually Centre collects millions of rupees for the Food and Care Dept. But Center never helps any didis except some of their spoons. On the dadas side, Centre only helps those who are spoons and characterless. They only help their tools. This is the shameful state of the Food and Care Dept. Baba's divine system has been pillaged by despotic rulers.

Good workers are then forced to suffer or be swept into the net of groupism, lest they meet their physical demise. It is a most ugly scenario.

However the situation will turn around by His grace. Those who have transgressed the code of neo-humanism by resorting to nepotism will face the reaction very soon. Nature will not spare them of their inhumane actions. And, good workers and sincere margiis are bound to rally together and bring back the integrity to our Marga and this much needed department.

Namaskar,
in Him,
Mayatiita

Akola Story: Evil Deeds of H & Giita Group Wts

Baba

This email contains two sections:
1. Posting: Akola Story: Evil Deeds of H & Giita Group Wts
2. Links

Baba Story:

If monk commits sin, prakrti’s whipping increases exponentially

(Akola Story: Evil Deeds of H & Giita Group Wts)

Note: Those who are weak-minded or have attachment towards a particular group should not read this letter.

Namaskar,
There is a myth amongst Wts that they are above and beyond any sin; they think, "They can do no wrong."

Such blind wts forget and overlook what is happening before their very eyes. They see other Wts facing and undergoing their own samskaras - like accidents, diseases, trauma, loss, and death etc. No Wt is immune to this. Verily no one can escape from their sins.

Committing sin: mind clouded by avidya maya

But blinded by ego and their superiority complex, many Wts commit sin after sin and do not view that as sin. They think they are immune to sin and have "carte blanche" to do whatever they want without any repercussions because they are purodhas, avadhutas, avadhutikas, Wts etc. In their blindness, they think that the sins they are committing is for dharma. But in reality it is their ignorance. Yet, with their mind clouded by avidya maya, they cannot see the situation for what it is - i.e. sinful.

In this email we examine a few such cases - complete with names and full details etc.

WTs will face a much tougher phalabhoga

All must know that when it comes to the cosmic operative principle - i.e. prakrti - there is no partiality; prakrti does not differentiate between a family person and a monk. Whoever you are, if you have committed a sin then you are going to face the consequences, sooner or later. There is no escape.

At the same time, we must be aware of one special condition. Namely, if someone is elevated or holds greater responsibility in society, then prakrti punishes that individual comparatively more. So if a 12-year-old kid and the town mayor commit the same wrong, the mayor will face a much tougher reaction, i.e. punishment. And if the Wt is the wrongdoer then the punishment will be much more - exponentially more.

Baba gives demonstration:

"Dasarath, go back in time 300 years"

To clearly exemplify this point, during general darshan in the Jamalpur days during the year 1966, Baba gave one demonstration.

One margii from Nalanda, Bihar named Yadunandan came to Baba for general darshan at the Jamalpur jagrti. In that general darshan, Baba asked Dasarath and Yadunanda to sit face-to-face. Then Baba ordered, "Dasarath, go back in time 300 years. What do you see? What is Yadunandan doing?"

Dasarathji saw that in his previous life Yadunandan was a famous monk in Kerala with tens of thousands of disciples.

Baba asked, "Dasarath, continue telling what you see."

Stealing: "we are are monks so it is ok"

Dasarathji added, "One day, thieves stole a cow from an innocent, local farmer in Kerala. Disciples of that famed monk confronted those thieves and got the cow from them. Then those disciples promptly took that cow to their ashram and informed the top monk. That monk approved of the situation and told them that it was ok to keep the stolen cow at the ashram. He reasoned that, "We are monks so it is ok." The monk then drank a glass of milk that was milched from that stolen cow. One single glass - that was all he drank."

Dasarathji recounted, "Months later, local farmers arrived at the ashram to retrieve their cow. Then to save the situation that monk returned the cow to those farmers."

Then all-knowing, omniscient Baba looked at Yadunandan and said, "Yadunandan was that great monk."

Then Baba asked Yadunandan, "Nowadays, are you facing any problems of theft in your shop?"

Yadunandan was shocked that Baba knew as he had not told anyone about the problems he was facing.

Yadunandan then recounted how his shop had been ransacked again and again by thieves. It happened at least ten times.

Completely frustrated and fed-up and went to see Baba

Ultimately, that renowned monk (Yadunandan) who drank the milk of the stolen cow had to face the consequences. Verily he was punished severely by prakrti for drinking a single cup of milk from that stolen cow. The punishment: That monk (Yadunandan) was reborn as an ordinary, common farmer, who soon left his work on the farm and opened a watch repair business in a small town. He laboured hard year after year, but his shop was ransacked again and again by thieves. It happened at least ten times. And each time he lost all his life’s savings. Finally, that shopkeeper, i.e. Yadunandan, became completely frustrated and fed-up and went to see Baba in order to ask Him to do something.

But before Yadunandan could even raise his query, during general darshan all-knowing Baba called upon and empowered Dasarathji to reveal the scene. Then, as described above, in this cosmic liila, Sadguru Baba had Dasarath recount step-by-step how there was a famous monk in Kerala, who had an ashram etc. Dasarathji continued on and revealed the entire scene including how that monk drank the milk of a stolen cow.

Then Baba told that Yadunandan was suffering because he was that monk who stole that milk.

The margii Yadunandan exclaimed, "Baba, what I am going through now is very harsh punishment for stealing just a single glass of milk. Ten times my shop has been ransacked and ten times I lost all my savings - completely gone."

Then Baba told that if an ordinary person commits a sin that is not so severe, whereas if an elevated soul does some misdeed it is vastly different matter. It is the difference from falling while standing on the ground versus falling from an edge of a cliff. The result is very different. Many die from falling from the cliff but no one dies when falling from an ordinary standing position.

Wt has to face greater consequences

Here the point is that if any margii does anything then the punishment is not nearly as severe as if a monk or Wt does something. For instance, if a margii leaves the path of Sixteen Points and returns back then there is not so much at stake. Whereas if a Wt leaves their Wt-ship and then returns back in hopes of becoming a Wt then they must face severe punishment and rectification. The Wt has to face greater consequences.

"Theft, sexual crimes, child abuse, murder, anything I can do"

Keeping this in mind, see these tragic events that are taking place nowadays in our Ananda Marga. And these are not isolated events. The dogma is deeply ingrained wherein Wts think, "I am a monk / wt so I can do anything and everything without any consequence: stealing, theft, sexual crimes, child abuse, murder. Anything I can do and it will be alright because I am a Wt. I can do whatever misdeeds I wish and it will not be sinful." This is their defective outlook.

And verily if you keep your eyes open and see how some of our Wts behave, you will see the truth for what it is.

Here then are two events surrounding some of our Wts.

Entangled in one room in Central Office (Ananda Nagar) with...

Ac Hariishananda Avt was allegedly caught red-handed in broad daylight in Ananda Nagar - Dadaji was found in a compromised situation where he was entangled in one room in central office (Ananda Nagar) with Didi Ananda Anupama. This was known to all and a complaint was lodged. But Rudranandji overlooked the matter and protected this allegedly characterless Dada and even kept Hariishananda ji as a key purodha. And still today these two remain involved in their illicit affair. Sadly, they suffer from the very defective psychology outlined above. They feel they can do no wrong. For Dada Hariishanandji, the incident with this Didi is not an isolated circumstance. Allegedly, he has relations with numerous other female Wts as well. Yet he remains in fine organisational standing and Didi Ananda Anupama received a promotion as she how works overseas.

Began torturing and harassing one home girl

Recently after the death of Didi Ananda Mandakini on 03 Nov 2014, Didi Ananda Manjari captured the children’s home in Akola which Didi Ananda Mandakini had been running for twenty years. Allegedly, Didi Ananda Manjari immediately began torturing and harassing one home girl - Sonu. Didi along with with other Wts like Didi Ananda Shuchilekha / Suchilekha, took Sonu’s phone, beat Sonu, and then locked her in the room and allegedly burned part of her body - they branded her. Not only that, they forcibly removed her from her college studies and cut her ties to the outside world. This was all done to capture the bank account that Didi Ananda Mandakini had in Sonu’s name.

After facing so much torture, the girl Sonu ran to the train tracks to commit suicide. She was absolutely distraught and horrified. Fortunately, some sympathizers rescued her from the tracks. (The details of this will be given in future installments.)

Home girls remain in crisis

Everyone knows that Sonu was the right-hand helper of Didi Ananda Mandakini. Sonu was also part of the children’s home board. Didi Ananda Manjari and Didi Ananda Suchilekha tried to capture that board and that is why this entire quarrel started.

To cover everything up, Didi Ananda Manjari gave the false story that Sonu had an illicit relation. Didi Ananda Manjari thought that, "Since I am a Wt, I can falsely blame anyone and do anything." So she beat and punished this girl more and tried to prove that girl as characterless. When margiis confronted her then Didi Ananda Manjari changed her statement about blaming Sonu for her characterlessness.

Still today, as we speak, this situation is worsening - still going on. That home girl Sonu remains in crisis.

I am raising this matter with the single purpose of saving the home girl Sonu and the many other girls from the children’s home in Akola. Concerned margiis should come forward and try to dig deep into the matter. An inquiry commission must be formed to talk with the victim and eye-witnesses and find out what is going on.

The code of dharma: prakrti will not spare such Wts of their ill dealings and sinful actions. They will reap what they sow. That is the inexorable law of nature.

In Him,
Namaskar,
Laxmi Puradupadhye

Note 1: Fake WT stays in their laokik home

Didi Ananda Manjari. As everyone knows, the rule is that Wts should not go and stay in their laokik (worldly) home. Yet this Didi regularly goes and stays with her laokik family in Akola - the very place where she was raised. She returns and stays for days, weeks, or months. And if anyone objects then she gives her justification that she is a sectorial worker and not posted there per se.

Note 2: This note is for story thieves only

We kindly request you not to steal stories from this forum and publish them in your own way. That is what is known as plagiarism and it is against the ethics of Ananda Marga and Guru’s teaching. Unfortunately there is one thief running an AM cemetery website and in the past he has stolen stories from this network. Plus there are others who have stolen stories. To all such thieves, we request you to please follow the codes of yama and niyama. Such theft is against the moral code and Sixteen Points.

Litter of Krpanandaji

Baba

This email contains two sections:
1. Posting: Litter of Krpanandaji
2. Links

Litter of Krpanandaji

Note: One should not confuse reflexology / acupressure with with acupuncture. Sadgruru Baba has approved of acupuncture as a form of treatment related with the nerves, but not new-age things like acupressure / reflexology. About this there should not be any confusion.

Namaskar,
Our Ananda Marga is based on the ancient spiritual science of tantra and astaunga yoga. As we all know, Sadguru Baba does not approve of reflexology.

Sadly, one Dada in his book is writing as if Ananda Marga has full faith in the pseudo-healing of reflexology.

Specifically in his Hindi book, "Ananda Marga: Kya and Kyon?" (Ananda Marga: What and Why), Dadaji is promoting reflexology in the name of Ananda Marga. On page 181 of his text, he has included a full reflexology chart.

Sadguru Baba does not approve of reflexology

Yet, we know that Sadguru Baba does not approve of reflexology or any of theses pseudo, new-age approaches. Verily, Sadguru Baba never even mentions one word about reflexology. Why then is Dadaji propagating this in the name of Ananda Marga.

Here following is the reflexology chart from page 181 of Dadaji’s book, "Ananda Marga: Kya and Kyon?" (Ananda Marga: What and Why).

The above is the reflexology chart from page 181 of Dadaji’s book, "Ananda Marga: Kya and Kyon?" (Ananda Marga: What and Why).

Must never drag such rubbish into book about AM

When anyone takes up the task of writing a book about Ananda Marga like this Dadaji has done, then they must not drag bogus, unrelated things into the book. This is the wrong approach. When writing a book about Ananda Marga then that publication must firmly represent Ananda Marga ideals, not quack practices. If Dadaji wants to write about silly things in his own name, he is free to do so. And everyone will judge his standard accordingly. But one must never drag such rubbish into a book about Ananda Marga teachings. That is sinful and people will even be led astray.

Naive and simple new margiis and sympathizers might actually give credence to this. And instead of doing yoga asanas and following a sentient diet, they might instead pay heed to Dadaji's book and just visit the local reflexology clinic. All because they were wrongly led to believe that this is supported by Baba.

Will turn true seekers away from AM

One other offshoot is that true spiritual seekers will turn away from Ananda Marga if they think Ananda Marga supports the new-age approach of reflexology.

That is the danger of what happens when any Wt drags junk, garbage, and dogma and tries to dump it into our holy Ananda Marga. So it is most unfortunate that this Dadaji - Ac Krpananda Avt - has supported this pseudo-pathy in his book - all done in the name of Ananda Marga.

Must propagate Guru's teachings - not anything else

Sadguru Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji has bestowed upon us the pure and dharmic guidelines for spiritual realisation and the progress of society. He has blessed us with countless discourses. And it is those teachings that we must present in our books and publications - not anything else. About this everyone should be perfectly clear.

Ignorance of Acyutanandaji + 2 more

Baba

Ignorance of Acyutanandaji

Note: An audio file related with this posting has been uploaded to the blogsite, where you can listen to it or download it. A link to the blogsite has been appended in the Links section at the bottom of the email.

Namaskar,

All are aware that Ac Acyutananda Avt is the key staff member of Tiljala Publications. Verily Dadaji has spent decades and decades - his whole organisational life - in the Publications office. So it is most surprising and shocking to see the ludicrous statement he has made on an email forum.

See here what he has written - highlighted in yellow below:

“Neither AM nor Prout presently has a clear stand on the abortion issue.” - Ac Acyutananda Avt

Thus, Dada Acyutanandji is making the baseless, outrageous claim that neither Ananda Marga nor Prout has a clear position on abortion. Other than the fact that Dadaji is absolutely wrong, the main problem is that many margiis and wts will read his statement and think it is accurate.

They will wrongly conclude that:
(a) Baba did not give any guideline on this point of abortion, and
(b) a person can kill the fetus and still be strict in ahimsa.
That is how Dada A is misguiding everyone.

Thus Dada Acyutananda will lead many astray. All because Dada A foolishly proclaimed that Ananda Marga has no clear stand on abortion.

But nothing could be further from the truth. Those aware about this basic book of Ananda Marga - "A Guide to Human Conduct" - know that Baba spoke very clearly and conclusively on this matter with regards to ahimsa.

If you reference various chapters from Guru’s books, Baba has said to adhere to the code of ahimsa under all circumstances.

Manovákkáyaeh sarvabhútá námapiidá namahiḿsá.

Baba says, “Ahiḿsá means not inflicting pain or hurt on anybody by thought, word or action.” (1)

So Ananda Marga philosophy is adamantly against the dogma of abortion because it goes against the tenet of ahimsa.

Irrefutable proof from an unpublished discourse

Here is another irrefutable proof that Ananda Marga philosophy condemns the practice of abortion. Below please find the transcript and link to an audio file of an unpublished discourse. In this discourse, Baba states:

“Abortion is killing the potentialities...there is hardly any difference between you and an embryo...he [the embryo] is now within the body of the mother. And you are outside the body of the mother...You have got no moral right to kill him.” - Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji

So the point stands tall. Ananda Marga philosophy plainly opposes the practice of abortion.

Here is that discourse as well as a link to the English audio file. Following please find an “as-is” transcription. Side by side there is an English audio file so you can see for yourself how Guru clearly condemns the practice of abortion. A link to the audio file has been appended in the Links section at the bottom of this email.

Unpublished Discourses on Abortion

[Ma'rgii--- "Should abortion be considered crime always?]

BABA: “Abortion is killing the potentialities, taking the potentiality of a living being is certainly a sin. It may or may not be crime. Crime depends on different countries, depends on certain conditions prevailing in different countries.”

BABA: “Suicide is a crime in England. And, to try to commit suicide is also a crime in England. To commit suicide is a crime in England. To try to commit suicide is also a crime in England. In India, to commit suicide is not a crime. To try to commit suicide is a crime, the police may harass you. And in Japan, to commit suicide is not a crime; to try to commit suicide is also not a crime. In England, if one commits suicide, he will be punished; and if one tries to commit suicide, he will also be punished. If one tries to commit suicide, he’ll be punished. He will be punished. And if one commits suicide, he will also be punished after death. His property will be confiscated. After death, he will also be punished, in England.”

BABA: “But, in India, if one commits suicide, he won’t be punished. His property won’t be forfeited by the government. But if one tries to commit suicide, he will be punished.”

BABA: “The crime depends on different conditions, spatial, temporal, and personal conditions, of different portions of the world.”

BABA: “Do you follow?”

BABA: “But there are certain cardinal human values, cardinal human points. Those points remain unassailed. As a matter of principle, abortion is a crime. But, when it is done to save the life of the mother, it is not a crime.”

[Ma'rgii A---"We call it, therapeutic abortion".]

BABA: “Yes. Then it is not a crime. Law permits it.”

[Ma'rgii A---"But, sometimes it may also be abused Baba. It may also be abused.]

BABA: “Yes, yes. It has been abused, yes. I know it, it has been abused. There should be proper check, proper control on it. By a strong medical board. or like that.”

[Ma'rgii—Is it a living body, the embryo.?]

BABA: “Yes. You see, fundamentally, there is hardly any difference between you and an embryo. You have come here outside, and [the] embryo is [inside the body of the mother]…”

[The cassette is cut here for a moment.]

BABA: “That is the difference. And why should you deprive that little man from the joys of life?”

[Ma'rgii---"Means, living man.]

BABA: “Yes. It is not desirable. You are a man, he is also a man. He is now within the body of the mother. And you are outside the body of the mother, that is the difference. You have got no moral right to kill him. When he is not your enemy. It is not at all a crime to kill the enemy, but that embryo is not your enemy. How can you kill him? How can you kill him? You can’t kill him. You have got no moral right to kill him.”

BABA: “What?”

[Ma'rgii A---"Baba, ..."]

BABA: “It has been clearly explained to Acarya Pranavananda.”

[Ma'rgii---"Pran'avananda]

BABA: “Just when the spermatozoa becomes one with the [ovum],”

[Ma'rgii A—then ...]

BABA: “Yes.”

That mind, that spirit with reactive momenta comes in contact with that embryo with the first moment. Because of its congenial physical structure. Congenial to that psychic structure.

BABA: “Clear?”

BABA: Spermatozoa is a living being with its peculiar samskara. Ova is a living being with its peculiar samskara. And the combination of the two creates a third animal with its own sam’ska’ra. And according to its physical structure, having parallelism with a certain mental sam’ska’ra that is, sam’ska’ra, the departed soul along with its sam’ska’ras, comes in contact with that newly-born embryo. The ova, dies. That ova is also a living creature that takes place, mental death of the spermatozoa; it is also a living creature. And the third entity with its own mental samskaras, is created.

BABA: “Clear?”

BABA: “Kalya’namastu” (2)

To listen to the original audio file of the above see the links section at the bottom of this email.

Stand of AM on Abortion

So Baba has made the issue crystal clear: Abortion is not condoned by Ananda Marga. There is no doubt about it.

Yet see how our senior publications Dada A has jumped in and muddied the waters by claiming that Ananda Marga has no clear stand on this issue.

Now though it has been proven that Dada A’s proclamation is woefully wrong and baseless. Sadly, he works in Publications and projects himself as a specialist, yet he is unaware of Guru’s discourses and teachings.

Best will be if Dadaji pays heed to Guru’s below teaching:

37 Workers Rules, Point #3 says, “One should not give any false answer and should consult with one`s seniors for the correct answer.” (3)

It seems Dadaji longs to be a leader and a respected voice of Ananda Marga philosophy but sadly he is ignorant not up to the mark. Given his current standard, Guru warns about such persons:

Andhenaeva niiyamánáh yathándháh

Baba says, “They are just like the blind leading the blind.” (4)

Innocent, naive citizens want to know the truth, yet sadly they are misled by Dada A’s proclamations.

Namaskar,
in Him,
Ravindra
Roy Stevenson

Note 1: Why this discourse is unpublished

Some may naturally wonder, “Why is the above discourse unpublished?” The unfortunate truth is this: Because it is not a Bengali discourse. If it were a Bangla discourse surely it would be have been published. But since it is a non-Bengali discourse, those in Publications never took the time to publish it. Rather they skipped over it. That is the tragic state of affairs in Tiljala Publications. Non-Bengalis discourses are ignored and cast aside like unwanted step-children.

Actually, they have all those cassettes; but if you raise the point with them why it is not published, then to hide their hypocrisy they will give you their “ready-made” answer: “The cassette was stolen.”

Note 2: Ananda Marga has the solution for every problem

Not just abortion, Sadguru Baba has addressed each and every problem confronting humanity - Ananda Marga philosophy is complete in all respects.

“A correct spiritual ideology is the only solution to the problems confronting the world. From this perspective we can call Ananda Marga ideology the philosophers’ stone. Just as the philosophers’ stone is meant to transform everything into gold, Ananda Marga ideology can, most definitely, find a just and rational solution whenever it is applied to any problem.” (5)

Note 3: My relation with Dadaji

As a human being and brother, i have regard for Dada Acyutananda on the personal level. But on the collective plane he is misleading others about Ananda Marga ideology. And it is for this latter reason that this email has been written.

Note 4: The Section from Dada A’s letter

Here below is a relevant excerpt from Dada Acyutananda’s letter where he categorically states that Ananda Marga and Prout do not have a stand on the abortion issue. Also below is a link to Dada A’s full letter.

The "About" page of the blog presently says only: "My name is Acyutananda ('c' pronounced as in 'ciao'). All posts are by me unless otherwise mentioned, and express my personal views. The purpose of this blog will be to raise consciousness about the unborn, and awaken our consciences about the rights of the unborn."

“Since I am a representative of Ananda Marga and Prout and my views might be considered by the public to represent AM and Prout views, yet neither AM nor Prout presently has a clear stand on the abortion issue, I don't presently mention on the blog my affiliation with AM or Prout.”

A November 2014 blog post, "Moral Intuition, Logic and the Abortion Debate," does not take sides on the abortion issue, but tries to explore the origins of moral principles in general.

Dada A's Letter in Full

Namaskára.

I have a pro-life blog for the public at http://www.noterminationwithoutrepresentation.org

Since I am a representative of Ananda Marga and Prout and my views might be considered by the public to represent AM and Prout views, yet neither AM nor Prout presently has a clear stand on the abortion issue, I don't presently mention on the blog my affiliation with AM or Prout.

A November 2014 blog post, "Moral Intuition, Logic and the Abortion Debate," does not take sides on the abortion issue, but tries to explore the origins of moral principles in general.

Also exploring the origins of moral principles is an article I wrote for the June 2014 Prout Journal, "Can Science Determine Moral Values?" It is available online here --

http://proutglobe.org/2014/06/can-science-determine-moral-values/

-- and here --

http://gurukul.edu/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Can-Science-Determine-Moral-Values1.pdf

At the former site, it can be commented on.

For the March 2014 Prout Journal, I wrote an article "A Proutist Perspective on Abortion". I can send a digital copy on request.

I may also write about the abortion issue on the new Move On forum, under the "Organizational Development" section, which is for Margis only.

I also recommend this blog: http://viswakamalwelfaresociety.org/ , "speaking out for the born and unborn children of India, and assisting their parents." Viswakamal is the initiative of a few young Proutists in Kolkata. Within around ten days, a new post will appear about a baby girl whom Viswakamal saved from abortion. Viswakamal has been able to arrange a little financial help for her single mother.

Another article, already mentioned under the recent "Spiritual Philosophy" topic, is "A Teleological Argument for a Non-Material Consciousness". It is available online here:

http://gurukul.edu/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/A-Teleological-Argument1.pdf

I can also send Brother Bhaktaviirya's response to it, on request.

And one more article that I could send to anyone interested is “Discipline and the Tantric Path”, which I wrote for Prajiná Bháratii in 1996. It is quite different from any of the other writings I have listed. Though it doesn’t mention AM by name, it is really only for Margis, and particularly WT’s. It is a vindication of all our conduct rules, especially WT conduct rules.

Mahaprayan (Death) of a senior family margii

Baba

Mahaprayan (Death) of a senior family margii

Namaskar,
It is with much sadness and respect that I share with you the mahaprayan (death) of Shrii Jaiprakash Bhai who died yesterday - 31 March 2:20pm IST - at the Pushpanjali hospital in Agra. While our margii brotherhood called him Jaiprakash Bhai, his legal name was Jaiprakash Sharma.

All know that Shrii Jaiprakash Bhai was a true devotee of the Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamutiji. Of specific note, he was instrumental in establishing the Chapari MU in Etha (UP, India). Overall, he had a tremendous impact on the growth and well-being of our Ananda Marga society over his many years active in AMPS. On this occasion of his mahaprayan, he will be missed by many.

May we all take solace in the fact that respected Shrii Jaiprakash Bhai was an ardent bhakta of Sadguru Baba. Certainly he will attain mukti or moksa, accordingly. Baba will lovingly bestow His grace and take him under His Supreme shelter.

With deepest regards.

Namaskar,
at His lotus feet,
Manotosh Deva

Note 1: Mahaprayan (death day) is only for humans

Parama Purusa is eternal

Here it should be qualified that there is both real mahaprayan and fake mahaprayan. Real mahaprayan marks the death of any ordinary human being. This is the proper use of the term: To note a person's departure from this earth. That is the meaning of the mahaprayan term and that is the standard way the term is used in Indian languages.

Then there is the fake, or so-called, or dogmatic mahaprayan. That is when certain vested interests try to apply the mahaprayan term to Parama Purusa Himself. This is grossly inappropriate because when Parama Purusa Baba is that Divine Entity who is beginningless and endless and resides always in our heart, then it is entirely wrong to proclaim that He is gone.

That is why rational margiis are protesting; because the Oct 21st program is so-called mahaprayan. So-called means that something is fake. Parama Purusa is eternal, thus for some vested interests to declare "mahaprayan of Parama Purusa" is nothing but so-called mahaprayan.

Mahaprayan only really happens in the case of human beings, not Parama Purusa.

Note 2: Mahaprayan comes from the Islamic tradition

Mahaprayan (Death): Many are aware that mahaprayan (death) is the common term used in India and especially in Bengal to describe the death of any human being, even ordinary people. In that way, the obituary columns of the newspapers of Bengal regularly cite the mahaprayan (death) of various persons of society who died or passed away.

Some may get confused and wrongly think that the word 'mahaprayan' (death) is one extraordinarily devotional term to be used in association with Parama Purusa. But that is not at all the case. Rather to do so is only to undermine the eternal presence of Parama Purusa. That is why no devotees ever use the word 'mahaprayan' in reference to Lord Shiva or Lord Krsna. Because Lord Shiva and Lord Krsna exist eternally. Then there is no question of Their mahaprayan (death).

Baba is Parama Purusa so He is eternal and there is no question of His mahaprayan.

Here it should be known that the convention of an annual death day ceremony (i.e. shraddhainjali or mahaprayan) is a foundation of the Islamic tradition. Muslims are well known for this, and their approach of an annual death day ceremony was adopted by those in Tiljala. So no one should think that mahaprayan is some type of sacred event. It is done on the death day anniversary of Muslims.

And for those who need still more technical proof then all this can be clarified quite readily by referencing the dictionary. Specifically in the Samsad Bengali-English dictionary on page 742. Checking there it will be confirmed that the word 'mahaprayan' means death. Which is why it used to refer to the passing away of even common citizens.

Note 3: Story: - sitting on Baba's lap means died?
(contributed by one margii)

Recently after dharmacakra, a senior margii was recounting his experiences of having dharma samiiksa with Baba.

He said, "After being punished by Baba, then He called me close and placed me on His lap - I remained there for some time soaking up His love - and He blessed me."

We all enjoyed hearing about his personal account with Baba during dharma samiiksa. When he finished telling his story, there was a call for questions. Various people posed their queries.

"How did Baba bring you back to life?

Towards the end, one new margii raised his hand and asked, "How did Baba bring you back to life?"

Everyone stared at the new margii in amazement. There was a look of astonishment all around - people were really shocked to hear him say this.

The new sadhaka sensed that something was awry.

He said very matter-of-factly, "I thought that sitting on Baba's Lap means that he (the margii) died - that is why I asked that question."

This was quite eye-opening for those of us in the room: Through our language and expression we had unknowingly taught someone to think that being on Baba's lap is the equivalent of death. Because it seems that nowadays people only use the phrase "Baba's lap" when a person has died, such as "Let him rest peacefully in Baba's lap", as if in order to sit on Baba’s lap one has to die. But that is false. Sincere sadhakas regularly sit on Baba’s lap in their meditation. It is His grace. It is just like a child need not die in order to sit on hi father’s lap.

Sitting on Baba's lap

must not only refer to death

At that moment I thought that everyone, new and old, should be clear about the real and devotional meaning of this phrase, "being on Baba's lap." It should not become stigmatized such that it only means death. Because in its true sense, the phrase "being on Baba's lap" really does carry a highly devotional and sweet feeling.

It is just like how a small child sits on its parent's lap. In a similar way, a spiritual child (human being) sits on the lap of Parama Purusa. By Baba's grace this can happen anytime in one's sadhana, especially in dhyana. Such a phrase then should not become  stigmatized because too many people only use it at the time of death.

We should be careful that we do not relegate "Baba's lap" only to the point of death.

The connotation of death must not become synonymous with "being on Baba's lap." Because the phrase - "being on Baba's lap" - is a devotional experience that can happen today itself in sadhana, and especially in dhyana. The phrase "being on Baba's lap" should not lose this quality and only mean death. It should not meet the same dark fate as happened with the term harijan. Nowadays, for the occasion of death / mahaprayan, 99.9% of the time people use the phrase "on Baba's lap", and for devotional stories the phrase "on Baba's lap" is used 0.01% of the time. That is why - for devotional purposes - this phrase is already included on the endangered species list.

Must not meet same fate as "harijan"

As we all know, these days in India nobody uses the term harijan to mean "a devotee". Whereas 70 years ago it was used in that way. The term harijan did mean bhakta. But ever since the time of Gandhi when he glued the harijan term to the lowest so-called caste, i.e so-called untouchables, nobody uses the the harijan to mean devotee. Never. Because the term harijan has been stigmatized to mean "untouchable". Nobody uses it to mean "devotee", but that is the original and true meaning of the word.

The phrase, "sitting on Baba's lap", should not meet a similar fate. It should not lose its devotional quality and just refer to one's death. That will be very negative.

Baba would bless devotees and place them on His lap

There are thousands of recorded stories by sadhakas where they use the phrase, "on Baba's lap", when describing their experiences of being with Baba: He used to bless them and bring them on His lap.     People should understand the deeply devotional value of this expression, and not just think that Baba's lap means death, i.e. that you can only sit on His lap at the time of death. Still today there are thousands of margiis walking this earth who sat in Baba's lap. And not only that, there are countless more sadhakas who were blessed by Baba in dreams and dhyana wherein they sat in His lap. And still today this deeply devotional experience is attainable by sadhakas, by His grace.

There are so many ways an aspirant can reach unto Baba's lap including in sadhana and especially during dhyana. That is the main idea that should be preserved. Sadhana is a devotional practice and one can sit on Baba's lap in dhyana. We should make it cent-per-cent clear to one and all that the phrase, "sitting on Baba's lap", does not mean death.

Dogma:

now "on Baba's lap" only used for death

Here are quoted lines from recently posted emails on various forums, wherein the writer uses the phrase - "in Baba's lap" - with the occasion of death:

- "May he rest in HIS loving lap of eternity."

- "We are sure that Baba has taken him in His loving lap."

- "May his soul rest in Baba's lap forever."

- "Let her rest peacefully in Baba's Lap - which she always desired."

- "now he is in beloved Baba's lap"

- "May his soul get peaceful place in His lap"

- "He is now in BÁBÁ'S loving lap"

- "May Baba bless him with a seat in His lap."

- "May BABA accept him in HIS divine lap!"

- "May Baba take him in his eternal loving lap."

- "Please keep him on Your lap forever."

All of the above lines are commonly written in eulogizing the deceased. Of course, it is fine to write like that. Here the point is that this same phrase "in Baba's lap" should also be used when describing one's devotional practices and experiences. But these days mostly it is used in a eulogy and rarely used to recount one's devotional experiences - unfortunately. By this way, the phrase "in Baba's lap" is being misused and step by step the real meaning is being forgotten as now people more commonly use the phrase to eulogize those who have died, and much less so to express their devotional feeling. Unfortunately, the meaning and inner spirit of the phrase is getting lost.
