Example of lowly writer + 4 more

Baba
Example of lowly writer

Namaskar,

We all know that Baba is the most loving One - the Parama Purusa Love Personified. Every sincere sadhaka has realized this in their day to day life. Yet, one "writer" has presented Baba in a very negative manner. See the yellow highlighted line in the below excerpt.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/

Bizarre story from JY book
Devashish writes: "Baba [was] sitting across from a group of [non-margii] teenagers, one boy and three girls. Baba asked the boy in a stern voice who the girls were. It was a tone I [Anant] was quite familiar with. The boy replied that they were members of his family. Suddenly Baba started rebuking him. "You bastard, you liar." The boy was shocked. Baba started telling who the girls were and where they were from. The moment he began exposing the unsavory relations between the four o f them, the teenagers fled the compartment. The rest of the passengers were astonished to see this." (JY, p.211) D’s writing ends

No one is a bastard in this universe

In our universal human family, no one is fatherless. Parama Purusa is the Supreme Father of all. Therefore it is completely against Ananda Marga philosophy to think of or call anyone a bastard. It is unfortunate that the writer has falsely blamed Sadguru Baba for calling that boy a bastard on the train. And he is making a bogus accusation against Baba for going against against His own teaching. This type of mudslinging on Baba is hurtful for any margii. Why did the writer wrongly accuse Baba in this way.

This is proof that under the guise of story writing, Devashish wants to inject poison in the minds of simple margii readers.

Conclusion

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “This universe is our common patrimony. Ours is a universal joint family, Parama Puruśa being Supreme Father.” (1)

In above teaching of Ananda Marga philosophy, it states that Parama Purusa is the Cosmic Father. In that case no ideal Ananda Margii can say any progeny of Parama Purusa is a bastard. Calling someone a bastard is against the tenets of Ananda Marga. But Devashish is wrongly accusing Baba for going against against His own teachings. This entire episode is Devashish’s mental delirium that he wrote that Baba scolded that teenage boy and called him a bastard.

(a) This is against Ananda Marga philosophy.
(b) D does not have reverence for Guru otherwise he would have paused before writing this type of story. D is worthless and not qualified to write stories about Baba. No true bhakta can write anything that goes against the fundamentals of Ananda Marga philosophy, and against the common fundamentals of bhakti and sadhana.

In tantra, the Guru disciple relation is very pious and unparalleled. The disciple has deep reverence for Guru. Here unfortunately we see something completely different. Wrongly inditing Baba in the aforesaid way Devashish has exposed his true colour, unfortunately. Now it is our duty as disciples of Baba now before reading Devashish’s stories keep in the mind that D type of crude person with hardly any devotion has written this story. So when reading this book, we should be prepared to mentally fix other poorly presented stories in this book. When we see problems we can go on correcting them in our head. Because whatever D has written in his JY book should be taken with a grain of salt, i.e. bearing in mind and knowing that gross errors and falsehoods are rampant throughout the book.

~ In-depth study ~

Why and whom Baba graces and in what way

(1) In closed settings, Baba scolds His disciples for the welfare. But in that scolding He never used bastard as that is against AM philosophy.

(2) While interacting with the general population in public places, Baba maintained very courteous and respectful dealings. Baba’s principle is that scolding should be done only when the disciple has fully given himself at the lotus feet of Guru. Then it becomes the duty of Guru to quickly cure the bhakta from all physical, psychic, and spiritual ailments etc. To this end, sometimes Baba uses certain words that seem harsh. But He never uses bastard nor does such things towards His disciples nor towards non-margiis as Devashish blamed in the story.

(3) Baba has given that one has no right to abuse anyone using foul language. If someone is using foul language to abuse the next person, then one should try to tolerate and do not abuse them back. But if they cannot tolerate then it is ok to beat that person but one should never verbally abuse him.

(4) Those margiis and bhaktas who are fortunate to be scolded by Baba get His blessing. Those who have received this such a blessing realised that Baba cured their physical, psychic, and spiritual problems etc. This cannot be understood by those with an ordinary mind-set.

(5) What to say non-margiis, even when scolding margiis, Sadguru Baba never used the term bastard.

The above excerpt is one of the many falsehoods and misrepresentations in "The Jamalpur Years" book.

The writer of the JY book (The Jamalpur Years, 2010) is Devashish (Deva'shiis'a / Devashish / Devashiisa) a.k.a. Donald Acosta.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/

Such a story is illogical & unthinkable

Nobody can say that Baba ever behaved in this manner and used such abusive language with margiis, let alone non-margiis, or anyone at all - in public view on a train or anywhere. Baba would never scold and abuse non-margiis in this way, especially not youths. Indeed, Baba would generally overlook the conduct of margii teenagers, let alone non-margii teenagers. So this above episode and outlandish encounter is completely outrageous. Baba would never behave in such a manner, yet that is how He is depicted in this book - throughout the entire publication. This is very unfortunate.

Sadguru Baba is love personified

Baba is love personified.  Baba would not even point out workers or senior margiis in public.  And Baba only points out the defects of those very close to Him, not to XYZ youths on train. On those occasions when Baba did point out sadhakas, He was bestowing His blessing by lovingly guiding them onto the path of righteousness. And His speech was always grounded in benevolence.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, "The quantum of punishment must not exceed the quantum of love." (2)

Baba's each and every expression and action is imbibed with the spirit of welfare. To lovingly bring people close. In a public setting, such as on a train, Baba would never harshly scold anyone - not margiis let alone a member of the general public. This is impossible; under such circumstances He would never do this.

Just as a mother who loves and points out the defects of her own child does not walk around the market abusing and scolding every other child. Similarly, Baba was not moving around abusing everyone - this is a silly notion. Who can think like this. This is ludicrous and outlandish to say that Baba is moving around the abusing unknown teenagers on a train for all to see.

Conclusion

Baba is the Supreme Father who lovingly cares for all. The above story is bogus and it goes contrary to all ethics and teachings of Ananda Marga philosophy.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "He loves [all] His sons and daughters equally. His love is perennial. It is always there." (3)

Ananda Marga ideology says, “You all belong to the noble family because your father is the Supreme Father. Nobody is unimportant, nobody is insignificant.” (4)

So this JU book has done a terrible disservice, unfortunately. It does not present Baba truthfully, but rather gives a distorted viewpoint. Until this book is corrected it should be removed from the shelf.

Baba's approach is to bring that person into Ananda Marga and bring them close by showering them with love and affection. And then once that relation was well-formed and established and they were close, then Baba would lovingly point out their defects to enhance their progress on the path of supreme benevolence. Baba points out to make someone better not to terrorise unknown youths on a train.

Who wrote this book

The motive for writing this letter is to bring forth the truth. Readers should not be misled. The "writer" must fix all such errors in his book, and have it approved by a designated review board. Failing that, the book should be removed from the shelf. To write a Baba story of this nature one should have a basic knowledge of how things were going on those days, but the writer does not have that so he creates many problems.

The writer of the JY book (The Jamalpur Years, 2010) is Devashish (Deva'shiis'a / Devashish / Devashiisa) a.k.a. Donald Acosta. Sadly, Devashish does not have the requisite feeling of bhakti, so he has no idea how to express himself and instead creates a mess in his JY book.

Baba's guideline is that one should preach only satya.

Ananda Marga philosophy "All your tendencies should be pointed towards Satya, because it is only through the propagation of Satya that collective welfare is possible." (5)

Then why is Devashish spreading falsehood. Either he is ignorant & has no idea, or he has some ulterior motive. Otherwise why is Devashish depicting Baba in such a bad way. Those new people not familiar with Baba will form a very poor opinion of Him by reading this book.

Song of A grade bhakta

"Bandhu ámár nikat́ ámár,ámi ki gáibo tomár gán..." (Prabhat Samgiita #0525)

Purport:

O' my Bandhu [1], O' my dearmost, You are my very close and intimate One. What song should I sing to please You. You are aware about my longing. You are my Love, You are the personification of hope, saturated in sweetness. You are my heart of hearts - and my everything. You are my nearest and intimate One.

O' Parama Purusa, since that very first day when You blessed me and brought me in Your closeness under Your care, since then, by Your help, I have understood that You are my savior; You are doing everything for me. Also since that very day, with Your divine touch You have given me with new life. Baba by Your causeless krpa’ my way of living has been wholly transformed from a worldly existence into life divine. Since then everything has become blissful. You are my very close and intimate One.

O' my Bandhu, on that most memorable day You caressed me with Your soft tender hand. In that ambience of the blissful early morning dawn, the lotus flowers were blossoming in the pond and spreading their aroma all around. Then by Your infinite karuna’, You pulled me very close to You and graciously placed me on Your Lap and loved me; and by placing Your hand on top of my head, You bathed me with divine effulgence and granted me liberation. Baba, You bestowed me with everything. What You have done is unparalleled. You are my very close and intimate One.

O' Parama Purusa Baba, You are love personified; You are my most dear; You are my everything...

Bandhu means Eternal Friend

[1] Bandhu: This is one of the names of Parama Purusa, i.e. the Eternal Companion who stays with you even after death. Here below are some of Guru’s teachings on the term bandhu.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “What is the meaning of “bandhu”? In Saḿskrta, the meaning of the word “bandhu” is “to bind”. Bandhu indicates that person or entity who cannot stand separation. Parama Puruśa or Saguńa Brahma is closely and intimately connected with this expressed world, or jagata. He is pervasively connected with every individual entity, be it a living being or a crude object. He is also linked through and through with the universe as a whole. In other words, He is indissolubly and inextricably involved (ota prota) with everything. Therefore, He is the only bandhu of this universe. The rest of your bandhus in the physical world are not your eternal friends. Though they are with you now, a day will soon come when they will go away; they will be separated from you. When you depart from this world, these friends will accompany or carry your dead body. But how far will they accompany you? They will accompany your body up to the cremation ground or the burning ghat. Having gone so far, at the most they will return to their own dwelling places. So they are not your real bandhu. There is a shloka in Saḿskrta:”
Atyágasahano bandhu sadaevánumatah suhrd;
Eka kryaḿ bhavenmitraḿ samapráńáh sakhásmrtah.
“He who loves [[so much that]] he can never sustain the grief of separation, is known as “bandhu”. In this sense, nobody can have any bandhu in this world. Only that Jagatabandhu – that Parama Puruśa – can be your bandhu. No one else is your bandhu. Only He is your real friend.” (1)

False Claim to rule over others: "I am messenger of God"

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Dharma means the attainment of bliss or the endeavour to attain bliss through regular sadhana in the subtler spheres of one’s nature. This blissful state is considered by wise people to be Brahma [the Supreme Entity], and by devotees to be one’s very soul."

"The word dharma is often loosely used for so-called religion. The reason for this is that the founders of almost all the world’s religions propagated their respective doctrines among the common people, claiming them to be the messages of God [i.e., to be dharma]. These founders never followed the path of logic. Whatever their intention might have been, the result was that humanity lost its supreme treasure, its rationality."

Ananda Marga ideology states, "In the Middle Ages some selfish people proclaimed to the backward masses, “I am the messenger of God. Whatever I say is a revelation from God,” just to inject fear and terror into people’s minds. Was it beneficial for humanity to have such doctrines imposed on them in this way?" (1)

Real yoga nidra, not groggy sleep

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Most of the hormones of the upper portion are consumed by the solar plexus, which is contiguous with the anáhata cakra. When the sudhárasa [bliss-causing hormones] emitted by the glands and sub-glands situated above the ájiṋá cakra are consumed in the ájiṋá cakra, the result is that the ájiṋá cakra is strongly affected by the high secretion of hormones brought about by sádhaná [spiritual practices] in that upper region, and consequently the irises of the eyes move upwards and a state of trance ensues. A pleasant drowsiness of tandrá [somnolence] mixed with nidrá [sleepiness] overcomes the eyes, and the person is immersed in a type of slumber of a subtle loka [realm]. This kind of yoga nidrá, bháva nidrá, adhyátma nidrá is known as hypnosis in English. Bear in mind that it has no connection with hypnotism or mesmerism. Hypnotism or mesmerism is outer-suggestion, while hypnosis is auto-suggestion.” (1)

Note: This does not refer to the type of sleep that occurs in sadhana when the surroundings are very warm etc. That is a tamasik state. In His above teaching, Sadguru Baba is talking about spiritual hypnosis. This is a very high stage that occurs when sadhana is very good. When one sits and experiences deep sadhana for an extended period then their whole existence becomes calm. After sadhana they will not like to talk with anyone or do anything mundane etc, and their mantra will go on effortlessly even when walking around etc. They will not even like to have their eyes open. This is a higher stage of sadhana. That is what Baba is describing in the above teaching.

This is known as spiritual drowsiness or spiritual intoxication - not sleep in the worldly sense. Sincere sadhakas experience this. To attain this stance one must do longer sadhana. Sitting in an isolated place is also very helpful. Then, by Guru’s grace, within a short period one can realise this. And they will see that this type of spiritual hypnosis will last for a long time - i.e. the whole day. A soothing blissful feeling will permeate their whole entire existence.

in Him,
Arvind
