How Pranavatmakananda betrayed Nagina

This is an account about the working style of the archive in-charge and his communication with the late Ac Nagina ji. Included in this post is the tactic employed by Dada Pranavatmakananda wherein he falsely resorted to self-glorification and praised himself on the inside pages of Baba's books for rescuing those audios. In the various Ananda Marga books, Pranavatmakananda did not mention one word about those margiis who were the ones who had really safeguarded these Baba cassettes at the risk of their life. This was the case especially during the period of martial law / Emergency period in India during the 1970’s.
Pranavatmakananda only ensured that his own name has been praised again and again in the Publisher's note of those printed books of the Ananda Vacanamrtam and Subhasita Samgraha series. Is that not ironic and wholly against the spirit of being an avadhuta. Those Margiis did not get any appreciation in the Publisher's Note - just they got duped by Dada. Because Pranavatmakananda falsely eulogized himself for “rescuing” those audios. In this way, the wrong history has been recorded and lies have been spread in the Publisher's Note of our Ananda Marga scriptures. Kindly read below for the full story.

How Ac Nagina ji felt wronged
Here is one unfortunate incident. The very senior margii Family Acarya Nagina ji from Muzaffarpur had all his historical files related with Baba in well-kept order. Ac. Nagina ji did not like to give these cherished items to anyone because he had strong feelings of bhakti for Baba's writings, personal letters, and various other important materials. For decades and decades Ac. Nagina ji was keeping all those materials very carefully and treating them as more valuable than his own life. For personal reasons and deep feelings of bhakti for Baba, Ac. Nagina ji did not give those treasures to anybody.
But Pranavatmakananda approached Ac. Nagina ji and convinced him that everything will be kept in the Archive in digital form and that, "We will return all your things to you in their original condition after scanning them into the computer." At first Ac. Nagina ji was hesitant, but after a lot of convincing and requests he thought that, "Alright, although I do not like to let these previous items out of my sight. However, for the sake of pleasing Baba I will temporarily hand over my cherished materials because it is all Baba's property." And he told Dada Pranavatmakananda, “You must return all these items back to me."
Pranavatmakananda reassured him many times that, "Be assured that within a short time this digital work will be finished, and I will return your things to you." Because again and again, Ac. Nagina ji was telling that, "These are my most personal possessions. So many letters Baba wrote me personally in His own handwriting, and many such items are there. You must return these to me without delay..."
In that way, Ac. Nagina ji handed over his personal treasures of bhakti to Dada Pranavatmakananda. Sadly, Ac. Nagina ji was befooled by the tall talks of Pranavatmakananda who promised Nagina ji that all Baba’s handwritten letters and treasures which Nagina ji was keeping will swiftly be returned back to him. So with full faith and trust, Ac. Nagina ji entrusted his entire personal archive materials: Including his diaries and all those letters which Baba personally wrote to Nagina ji on so many occasions in 1956. And most letters were in Hindi that Baba personally signed them as Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji.

Forged letter by Dada P & Ac Nagina ji's passing
So Nagina ji handed over all those precious items, and the tragedy is that he did not get them back from Dada Pranavatmakananda. With a heavy heart so many times Nagina ji wrote letters to the Archive Dept in Kolkata, but in the name of reply nothing came. Later on, one deceitful trick was played by Pranavatmakananda. He wrote one letter to Nagina ji in the name of Dada Vijayanandaji as if Dada Vijayananda himself wrote it. And in the letter it was mentioned that, “Nagina ji! we accept your donation of different articles related with Baba. And it will be safe in the Archive etc etc.”
So the letter was like this and it was sent to Ac. Nagina ji. Unfortunately or fortunately, I was there when Nagina ji opened the letter. After reading it, Nagina ji was shocked, and with rage he started abusing Central Dadas saying, "They cheated me. I did not give them that as adonation. What about my getting them back! Why are they not writing to me about that." And then Ac. Nagina ji wrote a strong letter again to Centre and nothing happened.
Finally, Nagina ji became completely fed-up and sad. Because his own precious Baba materials went out from his hand. And he was feeling deceived and manipulated by Pranavatmakananda. And with this sadness gradually his health deteriorated and eventually in a very short span of time he died - left his mortal frame. This is the sad story.
How Pranavatmakananda falsely praised himself
So after this entire tragedy, even then the materials / cassettes that were utilised to bring out some books in Publications Dept, nowhere will you find any word about Ac. Nagina ji or any margii. In some cases margiis had safeguarded those treasure for 30 or 40 years - even through house searches during Emergency. In the various books, Pranavatmakananda did not mention one word about those margiis who had safeguarded these Baba cassettes at the risk of their life. This was true especially during the period of Martial Law / Emergency period in India.

Conclusion
So these are the examples of all the duplicity and hypocrisy that was going on. The fact that Pranavatmakananda put his own name in the Publisher’s Note is a complete distortion of truth. The real history which reveals the duplicity and hypocrisy of our AMPS Archive Dept. was swept aside. All because Pranavatmakananda was trying to keep a monopoly so that nobody should have any those audios except the Archive Dept. With that reason he did not give credit to anyone and instead manipulated one and all. Here I will conclude this letter with this following teaching of our Revered Guru.
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Party politics is one of the factors which stands, or tries to stand, in the way of human unity. In fact party politics is even more dangerous than disease-causing germs. In party politics all the refined attributes of the human mind, such as simplicity and the spirit of service, slowly but surely get totally destroyed. Party affiliation commands more respect than individual ability; service to self, not service to people, is the main motto; ministerial office, rather than human welfare, is considered superior; and mass deception, political somersaults, etc., are most common phenomena.” (1)
Ananda Vanii states, “The opportunists tried in the past, are trying at present and will try even in the future to fulfil their narrow desires by keeping the human race disunited. By severely reproaching this opportunistic craftiness through your noble deeds, you draw nigh the unknown strangers living far away and build a healthy world-based human family. Ignoring the brute forces, the sky-kissing arrogance, hypocrisy, immorality and glib outbursts of the conceited people, go ahead towards your cherished goal. The blessing of Parama Puruśa shall be with you alone.” (2)

What I personally saw
And in the case of books and diaries a similar thing happened. Pranavatmakananda promised that margiis will get back their possessions, but often this never happened.
When Pranavatmakananda started "doing his archive work" and collecting those audio cassettes from margiis, in some cases I was present and I personally witnessed what was actually going on. I saw how Pranavatmakananda took so many cherished items from the margiis' houses: Like old AM books, Baba's cassettes, any belongings related with Baba, handwritten articles, anything.
Since the late 1980's Pranavatmakananda has collected a huge number of books, cassettes, letters and more. And indeed, the archive is a needed element for our Marga society, though we should all be aware about how this work was being done.
Perhaps the most questionable part that I observed was that on many occasions Pranavatmakananda told the margiis that (1) he will make a digital copy of their cassette etc, (2) then margiis will get back their cassette, and (3) and that the Archive will have the digital version. Yet in many cases Pranavatmakananda did not produce a digital copy and did not give the margiis their cassettes back. Sometimes Dada made a copy for the margiis and sometimes not. On other occasions he personally requested margiis to keep the original and submit a copy to the archive.
In related cases, he regularly said that he would send back the cassettes and associated materials to the margii. But later on it was found that this was rarely ever done. Many claim that Dadaji merely took advantage of margiis' faith and trust. And in that way margiis gave their cassettes and they never got those tapes back. Yet those very treasures (Baba discourse cassettes) margiis had been keeping and safeguarding for ages - through good times and bad. Simultaneously, in some cases, the archive itself had been remiss in protecting their own copy, so they were seeking margiis for help. Hence margiis were often more diligent in their efforts than archive personnel.
Some margiis who did not have that type of blind trust and were aware about the internal politics, kept their things or copied the cassettes in their house itself and then gave the cassette to Pranavatmakananda. Naturally their position was better than those who trusted fully and lost their items. Pranavatmakananda went about his job in a most deceitful, manipulative, and wrongful manner.

These were the AM scriptures where Pranavatmakananda spread his lies. In all such books, Pranavatmakananda ensured that lines of praise were printed in the Publisher's Note wherein he as archive-in-charge was glorified as the "man of the day" in saving these discourses etc. Anyone assigned to the Archive does their job; that was merely what was expected of him as an acarya. Pranavatmakananda went about his job in a most deceitful, manipulative, and wrongful manner.

Baba, these days, in Your absence, even flowers no longer have any beauty. Everything has become dull, lifeless, and monotonous; life itself has lost all its charm. The mental bee does not like the honey - my mind no longer likes that which it used to enjoy. Without You, this world has become lusterless. In the moonlit night, I cannot go on weaving colourful dreams of the astral world. Without You, everything is dry and dreary.
Parama Purusa, that magical lighting stick of maya which You have makes the bhulok and dyulok go on dancing. That very mystical lighting stick has created the divine mirror. And in that sublime reflection, all three lokas dazzle, sparkle, and shine.
Parama Purusa, the glow of bhakti which You lit in my mental sphere is hard to dampen. Baba, please come and remain with me always in my dream as well as in my meditation, wakeful state...

Lab babies: great sadhakas
Prout philosophy states, “With the advent of biological babes, Prakrti will snatch away the reproductive power of human beings and hence they will not be able to reproduce. Instead, they will simply create more laboratory babes. Biological babes will not have much attachment, though they will be subject to pleasure and pain. They will not be required to undergo much physical struggle because through scientific inventions a tablet may be sufficient to sustain them for days together. They will be bereft of family ties, as laboratory babes will be produced in laboratories from chemical compounds. They will gradually develop a tendency of aversion to worldly enjoyment. It is not difficult to envisage a day when laboratory babes may think that nature has lost all its charm, that life is not worth living, and that there is even no use in eating. It is better we do not think further on this. However, it should not be lost sight of that laboratory babes will be great sádhakas or spiritual aspirants, as they will be more conscious of their imperfections. Hence, the more leisure time they have the more sádhaná they will do.” (1)
