Baba
Contravening Baba
Namaskar,
Some of our respected brothers and sisters, i.e. those who are the organisers and inventors of the mahaprayan dogma, commemorate an annual death day ceremony.

Baba does not want annual death day celebrated
First and foremost, the reason why the day of the withdrawal of Mahasambhuti’s form is not celebrated is because Baba did not mandate that we celebrate it; whereas, He most certainly guided us to celebrate His birth. This in and of itself is enough to convince any bhakta to only celebrate Ananda Purnima and wholly ignore the day of so-called mahaprayan, i.e. their annual shraddha ceremony.
Here the whole point is that celebrating or observing the day of the withdrawal of Mahasambhuti's physical form is 100% contrary to Ananda Marga ideology.

So-called mahaprayan is wrong
Their so-called mahaprayan program is wrong. In Ananda Marga, we do not ever do an annual shraddha day ceremony. Baba has explicitly stated that any shraddha ceremony must be completed within a 12-day period, and it must not be repeated each year. That is Baba's given guideline in Caryacarya. Yet, those MPD organisers are intent on hosting an annual death day program. They are clearly going against Guru's wishes and guideline.
Conclusion
In Caryacarya, it is clearly written that, "The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days [ after death]." (1) So any annual program of mourning is dogma. They are blatantly disobeying Sadguru Baba.

No sane margii will indulge in an annual mourning / celebration ceremony - annual death day- not in any shape or form. Those who disobey Guru harm themselves unknowingly - unfortunately. They create negative samskaras and chain themselves in the endless cycle of suffering of death and birth forever.
Now the matter is clear. The shraddha day - i.e. so-called mahaprayan - must not be celebrated annually as this is against Caryacarya, against Ananda Marga ideology, and 100% contrary to what Guru has told In His teachings.

Please pay attention to the two red underlined Bengali terms in the below clipping from a Bengali newspaper. The first red underlined term means “death”, and the second red underlined term means “day.” The overall meaning of this Bengali heading is: Annual Death Day Commemoration of Anandamurti ji.
Note: Divyacetanananda circulated 4 newspaper cuttings, of which three newspaper articles printed Baba’s name very disrespectfully. They never prefaced His name with even a single Shrii. And this pseudo avadhuta has no qualms about that, unfortunately.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com
The newspaper undermined Baba’s grandeur and did not even prefix His name even one ‘Shrii’, let alone two ‘Shrii’.
In India it is quite common to apply one shrii for even ordinary people and to whom they respect they preface their name with two or three or more Shrii. So the common respect which even a road brand political leader gets, the newspaper did not give to our Guru. In spite of that Divyacetanananda is gloating about the newspaper coverage. See the standard of our so-called avadhuta.

Why no forced conversion
Prout philosophy states, “The second inviolable principle is that people should not be forcibly converted from one religion to another. People will not leave a religion if it is able to guide them properly on the path of Dharma. However, if a religion has a narrow outlook or contains some defective teachings, such as supporting the caste system or oppressing the poor, then people will naturally become disillusioned with it. The followers of other religions will take advantage of these defects and forcibly convert them….”
Prout philosophy states, “Such incidents made the priests in eastern India realize that soon all the Brahmans would be converted to Islam. One priest called Devi Bar Ghatak from Mallálpur in the Birbhum district of Bengal, devised a strategy to prevent people being excommunicated. He argued that instead of excommunicating people who had been compelled to violate the tenets of Hinduism, they should be given the status of a special community within the Hindu religion. For example, families from which a girl had been abducted became one community, those who had been forced to take onions or beef became another community, etc. The members of these communities were permitted to marry amongst themselves and engage in normal social relations. This system was called the Melbandhan system, and it saved the Brahmin community of Bengal from conversion to Islam. Although the Kayastha community of Bengal did not accept the Melbandhan system, they accepted its inner spirit, and there after they did not excommunicate any of their members.”
