Baba
Dogma: Ananda Nagar
Namaskar,
Some are confused by the teaching, “I am Anandamurtiji of Ananda Nagar.” They think that means that Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji is literally in the soil of Ananda Nagar.
Limiting Baba in AN is sin
The below guideline teaches us that Parama Purusa Baba is not limited to any particular land.
Ananda Marga ideology states, "The Supreme Being is omnipresent, all-pervading and witness to everything, everywhere. It is not proper to confine Him to a particular place and say that He has eaten butter at this place or taken a dip in the Ganges at that particular place, thus limiting Him to a particular region or a particular country or the glorification of a particular sacred place, and thereby limit His all-pervasiveness" (1)
Mathura dogma
Now let’s examine another such myth related with Mathura.
https://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/
Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Where is Hari [the Lord]? He is in Madhupur. “Madhupur” means the sahasrára cakra. In Vaeśńava Tantra, the sahasrára is “Madhupur”. From “Madhupur”, “Madhura” and “Mathura” have been derived. So Mathura is not only the town in Uttar Pradesh, it is also the sahasrára cakra." (2)
Traditional Hindus hold that Lord Krsna exists in Mathura—in the soil of that town. But Ananda Marga philosophy states that in spiritual parlance Mathura is not a mundane place in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Rather, Mathura is the sahasrara cakra.
Ananda Nagar dogma
Here we examine in greater detail the myth about Ananda Nagar. Some are confused by the statement, “I am Anandamurti of Ananda Nagar.” They think that means that Anandamúrti jii is literally in the soil of Ananda Nagar.
About this one should be very careful and not succumb to the dogmatic thinking of old. One should not undermine Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji—unfortunately some human beings are naive. At least they should try and understand the fundamental teachings of Ananda Marga philosophy. If you open Caryacarya-2, then in the very beginning it is said:
Caryacarya guides us, “The one formless, beginningless and infinite Parama Brahma (Supreme Consciousness) is the only entity to be attained by living beings – That alone is Jagat Guru (the Supreme preceptor), That alone has revealed Brahmavidyá (intuitional science) to us through the medium of the name and form of Anandamúrti jii. Unit beings must be made to appreciate Its majesty.” (3)
Every Ananda Margii should read this daily and understand its import. Those who fail in this regard create dogmas that Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji lives in some mundane place like Ananda Nagar—at such and such address.
Verily they try to limit the all-pervading Divine Entity to one place. That is their sinful and outlandish idea.

Ananda Nagar is your sahasrara cakra
Those who still cannot understand should read this following quote.
Ananda Marga philosophy says, “Anandanagar is the nucleus of this universe. It is not merely the physical Anandanagar, it is also the Anandanagar of our inner heart.” (4)
It is so obvious where He lives. He lies within—in the inner heart, in the inner mind—sahasrara cakra. With proper concentration one can get a glimpse and make life successful.
Here we can understand that in this context the Ananda Nagar is not the following address:
Ananda Nagar
P.O. Baglata, Dist Purulia
West Bengal, India
This is not where one is going to find Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji.
Conclusion
In spiritual parlance, Ananda Nagar is in your Guru cakra. Other appellations for this spiritual abode are Vrindavana and Mathura. This is the abode of bliss or the sahasrara cakra.

About this, there should not be any misconception—the mind of the sadhaka should be crystal-clear in this regard.
In Him,
Tarak Nath
~ In-depth study ~
Unfortunately, PP Vishvadevananda ji preaches in his sermons that Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji actually resides in Ananda Nagar—i.e. the worldly Ananda Nagar. Indeed, that is why PP states that Ananda Nagar is a tiirtha site and that for spiritual attainment all should go there, i.e. to the earthen soil of Ananda Nagar. So about this there remains a lot of confusion. We should bear in mind that we only have the right to propagate His grandeur and glory. We have no right to do the opposite and limit Him to worldly factors.

Confused people say like this
There are a few persons who state again and again that Anandamurtiji resides in Ananda Nagar—i.e. the worldly Ananda Nagar in Purulia district. They claim by going there one will get spiritual bliss by touching that land. Such is the extent of their confusion. It is our job to bring such persons back onto the path of pure spirituality, as well as to ensure that others are not swayed by this dogmatic notion.
Where Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurti ji resides
This brings us to our final question of the day:
Question: Where does Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji reside?
Answer: He eternally resides in the Ananda Naga—i.e. the sahasara cakra of the bhakta.
Vrindavana dogma
A similar myth was preached in that past amongst dogmatic Hindus. They thought that Lord Krsna resides in the soil of Vrindavana. Yet Ananda Marga philosophy clearly debunked this dogma. Even then, some Hindus still adhere to that defective idea.
https://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/
Here Ananda Marga philosophy guides us that the real Vrndavana is sahasrara cakra and that always the Lord remains in that spot—He does not even take one step away.
Ananda Marga philosophy tells us, "Today, for all His devotees, and even for His non-devotees, there is very much spiritual Vrndavana. And Lord Krśńa is always there, for He said, Vrndávanaḿ parityajya pádamekaḿ na gacchámi [“I won't go anywhere, not even one step, from Vrndavana”]. This is not the terrestrial Vrindavana, but the Vrndavana of the devotee's heart. In this Vrndavana, both the devotee and the Lord are there. They are playing the game of hide and seek." (5)
Ananda Marga philosophy furthermore states:
Nitya áchi Vrńd́avane, ámi to nai Hari cháŕá
D́ákle Hari ásbe káche d́ákle pare-i dey se sáŕá.
[I am always in Vrndavana. I am never alone or without Him.
The moment one calls Him, He responds forthwith.]
Ananda Marga philosophy says, "In this Vrndavana of the devotee's heart, Vraja Krśńa and Párthasárathi are mingled into one. Both are attracting devotees by bonds of love. This is the inner spirit of mohana vijiṋána. When devotees feel the presence of Parama Puruśa in the Vrndavana of sentimentality and rush towards Him with all the sweetness of their hearts." (6)
And this below Prabhat Samgiita represents this same idea.
“Vrnda’vanam parityajya pa’damekam na gaccha’mi...” (7)
Meaning: “I (Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji) am always eternally present in Vrindavan, in the hearts of bhaktas. That is Guru cakra. I do not go even a little away from that. I am eternally present along with the bhaktas.”

Collective nature of humans
Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Some animals are gregarious and others are not. The tiger is not a gregarious animal – it prefers to move alone. Goats are not gregarious, but sheep, elephants and lambs are. Human beings are social beings. They do not like to remain in isolation." (1)
Ananda Marga philosophy states, "You know that humans are gregarious beings. There are some living beings who live in groups or clans, and some who live in isolation. In very olden days, human beings lived in clans" (2)
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “You are social beings. One cannot live in isolation. When you feel thirsty, you can’t manufacture a spade, dig a well, and draw water yourself. One person will make a spade, another will add the wooden handle, and another will dig the well — this is how we work collectively. This is the way for human beings to live. In all spheres of human existence, in the aesthetic sphere as well, humanity should live collectively. You should live in unison. You should vibrate together to the same music. You should move in a common psychic flow. You should fight collectively against your common enemies. Unitedly you should face all problems, mundane and supra-mundane. In a word, you must reflect the spirit of harmonious collective living in conformity with the spirit of the Vedic mantra Sam’gacchadhvam’ sam’vadadhvam.” (3)
Note: This is Baba’s special guideline which is lacking these days in the society. All should understand they do not exist alone, by themselves, in isolation. With collective spirit, all have to work together. By that way, many works can be done for the great cause, by His grace.
