Baba
Pollution of Dada
Namaskar,
Baba places great importance on the study of history as it enables both individuals and communities to learn from past mistakes and thereby progress. Failing that, without the study of history, people commit the same old blunders over and over again. In which case, they remain shackled by the crimes of the past and are unable to advance. So the review of history holds a unique place for the progress of any society.
As Ananda Margiis, we must know the history of Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha (AMPS) and give a keen assessment when Dadas write books that run contrary to AM teachings. Please read this below piece that clearly documents how one of our AM magazines is highlighting and glorifying one Dada’s book that diverges from Sadguru Baba’s teachings. This piece was first posted in January of 2016 on this network, yet a retraction was never offered by the magazine.
In Him,
Dr. Gopal

Namaskár,
There are extremely sincere and dedicated Dádás and Didis who are tirelessly working to propagate dharma. However, due to a lack of devotion some Dádás are formulating their own philosophies, which are defective. This is a concern because these Dádás are entrusted with the task of propagating dharma by spreading the teachings of Lord Shri Shri Ánandamúrtiji. In the name of Ánanda Márga teachings these Dádás are spreading their own defective philosophies. This letter is about such a Dádá S and his defective sutras that he is propagating.

In the Prajina Bharatii #249 page 24 – an article titled Guru Tattvam was published. On that page is an excerpt from Dádá Samanvayananda’s sutra book (see following scan).
Dádáji
wrote a sutra book that is full of flaws. And PB #249 is highlighting /
glorifying Dada S’s bogus sutras* including Sutra #12, where Dada
Samanvayananda is propagating that Guru abuses and uses filthy language.
But that is blatantly wrong. Guru does not abuse.

कसकर पीटो; मगर गाली मत दो
In one of His divine discourses delivered in Hindi, Bábá said -
Beat him but don't hurl swear word / abuse
Here is an English summary of Baba’s above Hindi teaching:
Conclusion
Therefore, we can see that Bábá has very clearly instructed against using foul, filthy, profane language. In fact, He has said that hurling abuse at anyone is worse than physically beating them. If Bábá is instructing His devotees that they should have control over their speech, how can it be possible that He can use foul & profane language, which thugs, street gangs, and police use?

With his faulty sutra / formula, Dádá is misguiding other innocent márgiis. Prajina Bharatii, being an important magazine for propagating Ánanda Márga ideals, should not indulge in glorifying Dádá Samanvayananda’s defective philosophy.
in Him,
Bhakti

Remaining awake for You
Prabhat Samgiita Intro: This song reflects A-grade bhakti. The sadhaka was intensely involved in meditation and Parama Purusa was present in a close and intimate manner. But then Parama Purusa left the bhakta’s mental plate. In that desperate and painful condition, with deep melancholic longing, the sadhaka is yearning for Parama Purusa to come in an intimate way. Parama Purusa is not gone, only the sadhaka is not getting Him in that deeply intimate and personal way in which he desires to hold Him. From the depths of the bhakta’s heart, this song has emerged. Unfortunately, those who do not have A-grade bhakti for Parama Purusa may not understand this.
“Ámi tomár lágiá jágiá rahechi, satata tomár patha ceye …” (Prabhat Samgiita #0255)
Note: Only those bhaktas who feel a spiritual vibration in their heart can understand this song in the depths of their core.
Purport:
O’ my Parama Purusa, I am remaining awake for You. I am always looking toward Your path, waiting with full anticipation for Your blissful arrival. By Your grace my mind is in a spiritual flow and I long for You alone. I have prepared the garland for You and arranged everything with the expectation that You will be coming. So please my Dearest, arrive secretly in my mind and become mine alone.
O’ Supreme Friend, why have You tied and bound me with the rope of Your love and affection. Why have You immersed me in my tears of longing for You. My Nearest One, why have You done this? Now I can never forget You. Your image floats across my mental plate always.
Baba, whatever I think, You are always there in the background of my reflection. What a tragedy I have been trapped in? Because of all this, now come secretly and stealthily into my mind, and become my own forever…

Beat him but don't hurl swear word / abuse
Here is an English summary of Baba’s above Hindi teaching:
“Sádhu vácáya samvaro”- control on vák. Vák means “expression of sensory organs.” And the other meaning of vák is – speech. You must control your speech because if your speech is polluted by the use of filthy or profane language then your own vocal system (including your own mind) will get desecrated. Say, some person hurled a swear word on you in your individual life. As far as possible, you should tolerate and try to forgive that person because forgiveness is a great quality to be imbibed. However, when the abuse hurled is beyond toleration then it is better to apply reformative beating to the abuser rather than you yourself speaking swear word for requital.
[Márgiis – “Bábá, Bábá, Bábá”]
Why? Because, by speaking a swear word your own mouth will get polluted. So, “sádhu vácáya samvaro.” To exercsise control over speech, the ideation that one must take is that whatever words are emitted by my mouth are the mantra of Parama Purus’a. With that ideation, one will be discreet and will not be able to pollute his/her mouth by using foul language. It will not be possible for one who is taking such an ideation to utter a swear word. That is why I said that when you cannot tolerate that verbal abuse then beat him. That is much better than uttering a swear word that desecrates your mouth and mind. Physically beating someone for their intolerable behavior is not so bad compared to hurling a profanity / swear word.
