We all know Baba places great importance on the study of history as it enables both individuals and communities to learn from past mistakes and thereby progress. Failing that, without the study of history, people commit the same old errors over and over again. In which case, they remain shackled by the pitfalls of the past and are unable to advance. So the review of history holds a unique place for the development of any society.
As Ananda Margiis, we must know the history of Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha (AMPS). Please read this below letter as an historical account which depicts the scene going on those days.

Note: This below letter first posted in November 2016 delineates how one PP Dada contravened Sadguru Baba's instructions on dhyana.

Note: Please excuse me as this letter talks about an extremely important but bitter truth.

When unqualified people control the post these Wts Dadas misguide others and goad them to do things which should not be done. Following is an example how one person, who is utterly worthless and incapable of guiding others in sadhana, has goaded them to practice in the wrong way, which contravenes Guru’s teachings. And due to sheer ignorance, our Wt organisers are openly propagating what these Wts have done - as if it is something great. These Wt Dadas are completely in the dark about committing a gross blunder. Sadly, our Dadas do not have a clue. That is why these Wts are bragging about what they have done.

Here is the example: Look see how these idiots are gloating over their ignorant leader who has committed this spiritual blunder. First however we begin with Sadguru Baba’s teaching.
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “It is desirable to practise various lessons [dhyana etc] of sádhaná alone, in a lonely place, but Iishvara prańidhána can be practised both individually as well as collectively.” (1)
So in His above teaching Baba is guiding us that iishvara pranidhana can be done collectively, but not any other sadhana lesson. And verily in Caryacarya when describing our various festivals and social occasions, Baba uses the term “collective Iishvara Prańidhána.” The reason being that no other lesson of Ananda Marga meditation is meant to be done in a group setting. Those who have attended seminars, retreats, akhanda kiirtan, and dharmacakra etc know that only iishvara pranidhana is done collectively - not any other lesson. For their individual lessons etc, people leave the hall and go elsewhere to practice pranayama and dhyana etc. In our Ananda Marga philosophy, you will not find any book that mentions or refers to collective dhyana. Because that is not done in our tantric system. It is a violation of our sadhana code.
Proof of ignorance
Now take a look at what some of our ignorant Dadas have done. Here below is what these Dadass printed in their propaganda newsletter some time back, where these in-charges are bragging about the sin these very Wts committed.

(a) PP Dada is, for lack of better a word, an idiot. PP has no idea about sadhana lessons.(b) The person who wrote the above quote is also ignorant, otherwise if he had known that dhyana should not be done collectively then he would not have written this and exposed his own ignorance.(c) The ignorant writer thinks that his ignorant teacher has done something great by encouraging others to do collective dhyana.
So in their above public statement, those Wt organisers of the MS describe how all the avadhutas assembled did the dhyana lesson collectively. Yet this is entirely against our Ananda Marga sadhana system. This dhyana lesson is not to be done collectively as per Guru’s teaching. But, sure enough, some time back, a gathering of avadhutas led by PP Dada Vishvadevananda did collective dhyana - thereby violating Sadguru’s dharmic code on sadhana. In other words these people are confessing to their blunder but these Wt Dadas do not know that they are confessing; rather these Wts think that they are bragging. By this way, simple innocent margiis are getting misguided.

Indeed, Baba has gone to great lengths to write hundreds of books delineating all His teachings of Ananda Marga, but the unfortunate thing is that these ignorant Dadas do not read Baba’s teachings. So our Dadas remain in the dark and preach false things. That is how it came to pass that at the MS these Wt Dadas engaged in collective dhyana, and then bragged about it via public emails across the internet.
Now you can understand that these are a bunch of fools. See their standard. These Dadas have no clue how even simple sadhana is done. Our in-charge Dadas are contravening the rule from A Guide to Human Conduct which is available to all margiis and even non-margiis. Yet PP Dada and these avadhutas are not even aware about this simple rule.

Baba made AMPS to propagate Ananda Marga ideology and these ignorant people are doing the exact opposite. This is nothing but the blind leading the blind, as PP Dada is leading an entire hall of avadhutas in collective dhyana.

One of the highlights of the program was a class by Rev. Purodha Pramukha Dadaji, Ac. Vishvadevanandaji Avt. on the sixth lesson of Guru Dhyana. PP Dadaji’s class was so inspiring that the hall full of participants fell silent and all Avadhútas and Avadhútikás collectively performed the Dhyana lesson. After the class blissful kiirtan and sadhana was performed.
