Bound you are? + 2 more

Baba

Bound you are?

Namaskar,

In this created universe, everyone wants mukti: Liberation. Nobody wants to remain in bondage; even animals want liberation. The proof is that if you put an animal in a cage, they will try to open the cage and escape. They do not want to remain bound. When that is the case with animals, it is even more so the case with humans. With a more developed intellect and highly reflected consciousness, certainly no human being wants to remain in bondage.

Humans are bound in three ways

Yet human beings are bound in three spheres of life: Physical, psychic, and spiritual. To eliminate the bondages in the physical realm, humans have invented so many structures and machines to shield them from the trials, tribulations, and hardships, and make life easy and facile on the physical plane. And every day new discoveries are made, bringing more comfort and ease.

Even then, no matter how much humans advance in the physical stratum, the physical bondages will never be eliminated completely. So long as one has a physical body, they will be held in physical bondage.

Similarly, in the psychic realm also, humans try to overcome all kinds of bondages. But just when one problem is solved, then ten more problems emerge: fears, anxieties, despair, or temptation etc. It is not possible to eliminate all problems and bondages in the psychic realm. New problems are constantly emerging.

For example, nobody wants to grow old, yet it happens to everyone. There is no escape. And there are so many things in life that are beyond one's control. That is what is meant by bondage. People are also bound by their own reactive momenta (samskaras) and have to face the consequences. Without the complete exhaustion of one's samskaras, liberation is not possible.

Ignorance: most think they are free

Interestingly, most do not realise that they are in bondage; they think they are free. Yet, they are completely bound by so many limitations and inabilities. But they think they are free, just as a frog in a well does not think it is bound by any bondage. Only when humans develop a little bit in the psycho-spiritual realm, do they come to understand how they are inextricably bound. And at that point one can start to extricate oneself from bondage, by His grace. Without the understanding that one is in bondage, there is absolutely no hope or possibility of becoming free. Just one wallows in the ignorance of that bondage, falsely dreaming that they are free.

Both animals and humans want liberation

Only in the spiritual realm can all obstacles be eliminated, by His grace. Through sadhana the aspirant can achieve oneness with Parama Purusa; then all bondages will be eliminated. The culminating idea is that the concept of liberation is not some utopian dreamland. It is a practical, attainable end.

Again, both animals and humans want liberation. But animals remain in bondage; and, humans are unsure of how to proceed - so they remain in bondage. In that way, their whole life passes in vain.

Those who want a real solution to this problem should learn and practice sadhana and get liberation. To remove all bondages, one must get initiated, do sadhana sincerely, and attain mukti (liberation) / moksa (salvation), by His grace. This is the birthright of all humans. Without that, one will never find mental peace - always there will be tension.

Awaken: One day you too will have to leave here and go

Remember, those who are bound cannot do what they want. And maya itself is that binding force. Humans have to live according to those limitations and bondages imposed by maya. Everyone has to follow those rules, whether they like it or not. Everyone wishes to be healthy, but invariably sickness comes. This is a bondage. Nobody wants to die but invariably they have to leave this earth. Because they are bound by maya. Regardless of their liking, they have to go because they are bound.

So no matter how much you enjoy or are attached to your worldly possessions and relations like property and family, one day you too will have to leave here and go. You have to give up your post, power, status, relations, even your physical body etc, and undergo death - and leave this earth. Death itself is one bondage. You may want to stay here forever, but one day you must leave. That is the bondage imposed by maya.

Until one realises bondage not attempt to free oneself

Until one realises that they are in bondage, how can they break this shackle and attain liberation. A bondage cannot be removed until one understands that they are bound. Only then can one truly embark on the spiritual path. By Guru's grace alone can one become truly free. Sadhana and surrendering to the sweet will of the Supreme is the only way to become free.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "O human beings, proceed on the path of omnkara towards subtleness. Do not run after the superficial, pleasant mirage dominated by tamoguńa. Establish yourself in sattvaguńa and then merge yourself into Brahma. Reach the point whence omnkara has started. Awaken your latent dynamism through sádhaná and devotion, arouse your divine wisdom and merge that pure divinity into the endless stream of divine glory. Attain the Supreme state for which you have suffered tremendous privations. Today you have the most favourable opportunity to prove yourself as human being." (1)

Ananda Marga ideology says, "The worship of Brahma should be done scrupulously, or else you will later regret and bemoan the futility of your life with the last drop of your tears at your last hour. You should make your life worthwhile through your sádhaná. How much can your worldly friends and relations do for you? After your death your relatives may perhaps ask, “How much money has he left behind?” Your friends may go to the crematorium and indulge in flattering reminiscences about you. Your husband or wife may cry for you for about ten or twelve days and then regain their normal composure. Your lot will be only a profound sigh – a record of the futility and frustration of your life. So do not waste your time lest you later have to repent." (2)

Namaskar,

Each and every life must be made effulgent

“The first and the final word of manifestation is mobility or dynamicity. Just as movement has no cessation, the path of movement also has no end. In this very movement lies the happy union between eternal ethics and the ageless supra-sensory realization – their centripetal affinity. It is not enough for a person to merely understand and abide by the truth, rather it must be translated into reality in the practical lives of living beings. With the greatest fulfilment in buds, flowers and fruits, each and every life must be made effulgent. Everyone should be made to realize that in the path of movement the Supreme fulfilment is the highest truth.” (Ananda Vanii #68)

Is multitasking helpful + 3 more

Baba

Is multitasking helpful

Namaskar,

One day margii brother Dayal came to me. I was asking about his well-being, and I came to know that his son could not get through one exam related with the job application. Dayal was lamenting the fact that his son could not pass.

Story: of Mr. Dayal and his son

Then I came to know that his son has a very poor memory. The boy works hard, and he forgets many things. His student life was also like that.

I asked Dayal, 'Did you not do anything to increase the memory of your son. Your son is laborious, but even then could not get through the exam?'

In a sad mood he said that, 'We have visited both allopathic and homeopathic doctors, as well as ayurvedic physicians. Whatever liquid, tablet, or palatable type of medicine they recommended we tried, but a satisfactory result did not come.'

And Dayal further told, 'Last year I visited DMS, and talked with different margis and dadas. But I could not get a proper answer from them either, on this point.'

With interest, he purchased some Baba's books also. And then further Dayal told, that after reading, he applied a certain tool which Baba has given. That also did not work.

After listening to this last response, I became very curious to know in detail, what and which teaching of Baba. Then Dayal told this following guideline.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "The psycho-spiritual approach which strengthens the memory, and makes the intellect omniscient. A good way to stabilize the memory is to meditate on someone you have seen or heard about who possesses a unique photographic memory. This will increase your own memory." (1)

Understand Baba's books is not very easy

In a patient manner, I asked him, 'What is wrong in this. How have you applied it?'

He told, 'As it is written in this book, I followed it exactly.'

Dayal further said, 'One of the brilliant professors of the university has gold medals in more than three subjects. That professor has a unique memory. So, my son was meditating regularly on him. That also did not work.'

After listening intently, I thought that this is the time to interrupt. First of all, mentally I was thinking that to understand Baba's books is not very easy. Many things Baba spoke directly. But not less in quantity are the aspects which Baba talked indirectly. Thus, to understand Guru's discourses it needs a certain degree of vivek.

Dayal is a simple margi. He is confused, as I was confused before a few years. In his confusion, Dayal advised his son to meditate on the gold medal winning, brilliant university professor. So now it became my duty to bring him onto the right path

I explained to Dayal that, 'You see, in this teaching Baba is indirectly talking about Parama Purusa. See it in this way. Baba indirectly spoke that, "Meditate on someone you have seen or heard about who possesses a unique photographic memory".'

I continued, 'In this above phrase of Baba is not referring to any human being. Rather by this way, indirectly Baba is talking about Parama Purusa.'

Baba indirectly told, "Meditate on someone you have seen or heard about who possesses a unique photographic memory."

In summary I stated, 'It is quite obvious, that this teaching is related with the dhyana of Sadguru Taraka Brahma - not with the university professor. And that very dhyana of Parama Purusa will increase the memory. Baba's making reference to dhyana and memory is not a one-time event. In many places, Baba has discussed how dhyana helps in increasing memory.'

Dhyana & enhancing memory

Baba's important mandate on enhancing memory is doing dhyana sadhana, i.e. sixth lesson.

Here is one of Baba's unique teachings where He is indirectly referring to Parama Purusa. Some other people may not be able to understand Baba's below teaching, but any devotee will certainly recognise that in the below citation Baba is talking the dhyana of Ananda Marga.

Baba says, "The psycho-spiritual approach which strengthens the memory, and makes the intellect omniscient. A good way to stabilize the memory is to meditate on someone you have seen or heard about who possesses a unique photographic memory. This will increase your own memory." (2)

By dhyana our mind becomes like His mind - in which case there is nothing in this universe that we will not be able to remember.

I will not allow any portion of my mind to wander

Baba's next mandate for developing strong memory recall is to be pointed and concentrated. If one is studying chemistry, one should not also be talking on the phone and listening to music at the same time. Then you will not be able to fully remember the subject of chemistry. Because the mind cannot simultaneously involve in more than one work. The mind will be bifurcated and the memory will be retarded.

Baba says, "One mental flow is engaged in memorizing the subjects being studied, while another mental flow entertains various other thoughts such as: 'What will my parents and seniors say if I fail in the examination? The juniors in my locality will cease to respect me, they will say all kinds of unpleasant things...' and so on. Obviously that boy's mental power has become bifurcated." (3)

So the mind should be completely fixed on what you want to remember. If the mind is in a fickle state or moving from one pabulum to another - from one object to another - then remembering any point will be impossible. Fixed concentration is needed. At the same time, one should not entertain other types of thoughts - all mental diversions should be pushed aside.

Baba says, "What should a wise person do in such circumstances? He should think nothing else except: 'I will memorize whatever I'm reading now, without bothering about my gains if I succeed or my losses if I fail in the task. I will not allow any portion of my mind to flow in an undesirable direction, and thus I will keep my mind exclusively engrossed in the task of learning'." (4)

Accordingly, we should only think about that which we wish to learn and remember. For instance, if one is walking down the street and remembering their ista mantra, then one should not also think about that when they get home they have to pay their taxes nor should they think about the fact that last year their business sales were low. If one wants to remember their ista mantra, then that sadhaka should think about their mantra - period. No active attention should be paid to any other thought, word, or idea. By this process, one will develop a stronger and stronger ability to remember their ista mantra.

Have interest in the subject matter

One other component for developing a strong memory is that one can generally create pointed concentration only if the topic is of interest and value to them. If anyone thinks that something is useless or unimportant, then they will not be able to concentrate properly and hence will not remember that idea or teaching.

For instance, if one goes vegetable shopping then upon their return they will most certainly remember what they purchased and how much it cost, but they will not remember all the faces of the other customers or recall what other people purchased. Because those things are not important to them. So if you want to remember any particular topic, then you must develop an interest in that subject. And if you are not interested in that subject you will never remember the idea.

Point of memory: repetition needed

Baba's next guideline for developing a strong and proper memory is regular repetition. For instance, if we want to remember a sutra or shloka or one of Baba's discourses, then first we must follow Guru’s aforementioned teachings about (a) pointed concentration to the subject matter, and (b) cultivating a sincere interest in the topic. But that in and of itself will not be enough. The human mind has its limitations and over time we will forget. In that case, to keep the point alive in the mind regular repetition is needed.

Just as advertisers play and post their message again and again to keep the point alive, we are to follow the same approach except with dharmic teachings. We are using Baba's books and audio cassettes etc as external stimuli to keep the His teachings fresh in the mind. In the beginning we may need to review by reading or listening to the topic monthly or even weekly. Thereafter, the span of time between review sessions can increase to 3 months, 6 months or even yearly, until finally we reach a point when those ideas are fully rooted in the mind and we have them for life - they will not be forgotten. So the above is an excellent way to remember good ideas.

Conclusion

Baba, being merciful, has given numerous ways of heightening the power of recollection. By keenly adhering to His guidelines, everyone can be greatly benefited, in numerous ways. So all sadhakas should aim to excel in this arena. And by sincerely following His teachings, it becomes quite evident how and why multitasking is harmful.

In Him,
Devaraj

~ In-depth study ~

Eighty-year-old person with memory of a twenty five-year-old

Baba says, "Over the age of fifty both the body and the mind start their decline. The power of memory diminishes and people start to forget things. This is the rule. But through the practice of vista'ra sadhana, this decline checks. Even an eighty year old person is able to keep the memory as fresh as a twenty five year old person. In the mental sphere, the result may be much more evident than in the physical sphere. Normally people hear, learn, and forget. But by the practice of sadhana, when the nerve cells get strengthened, dhruva smrti comes. Then one does not forget easily. In exactly the same way, by the dint of higher spiritual practice, one can bring about the expansion of oneself...Human beings become omniscient, become one with Parama Purusa. Nothing is impossible through the practice of sadhana." (5)

Why one is unable to remember

Baba says, "One whose mental power is weak, whose nerve-cells are feeble, who has little will-power, who cannot make his mind singularly pointed or concentrate sharply, has a short memory. He is unable to remember what has been seen or thought after a lapse of time." (6)

Baba says, "The human mind has two functions - thinking and memorizing. The more the thinking capacity increases the more the power of memory develops. The nerve cells also change, leading to a corresponding change in the nerve fibres. These changes create a stir and a revolution in the world of thought." (7)

The best way to increase memory

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Many people have asked me how they can increase their power of memory. Personally, I know quite a few secrets in this regard, as well as a number of physical exercises which increase the power of memory. In our 16 Points there are a number of psychic exercises which also help. In my experience, however, the quickest way is to meditate on that person who has a tremendously powerful memory." (8)

Baba says, "The exact mental reproduction of what has been previously perceived is called smrti or memory. For instance, you once perceived an elephant by observing a real elephant and seeing its huge body, legs, eyes, ears, nose and trunk. The physical form of the elephant struck the retina of your eyes creating a vibration in your optical fluid, and was ultimately imprinted in your mind as the image of the elephant. Now some time later when you see an animal with the same type of limbs as those of your previously perceived elephant, you immediately conclude that this animal must also be an elephant. Your conclusion is based on your previous perception. This is memory." (9)

We all have room for growth and improvement; we should better understand memory and the functioning of mind. Baba has outlined distinct ways to sharpen memory and hence enhance the quality of life. We should learn and practice these points, and share them with all we know.

This letter outlined key ways from Sadguru Baba for increasing memory.

In no way indicative of the glory of human intellect

“Despite its advent onto this earth many thousands of years ago, humanity is not yet capable of building a well-integrated and universal human society. This is in no way indicative of the glory of human intellect and erudition. You, who have understood the predicament, realized the urgency, seen the naked dance of evil and heard the hypocritical and raucous laughter of the divisive forces should throw yourselves into this noble task without further delay. When the ends are just and noble, success is inevitable.” (Ananda Vanii #42)

Moral “death” of avt - 2

Baba

Moral “death” of avt - 2

Namaskar,

See how Raganugananda is worshipping the Hindu fictitious deity. Raganugananda is standing with folded hands in front of the fake goddess Saraswati. He is chanting a dogmatic eulogy to please that deity. And earlier, a few minutes before, Raganugananda was garlanding and touching the feet of that goddess. And now he has stepped back and with folded hand he is chanting the glory of the mythical deity with other dogmatic Hindu followers.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, “Not to call a thing what it is, but to call it something else, is known as slander. Therefore those who in the name of the beginningless, endless, formless Brahma worship idols, are indulging in deliberate slander. You must not give indulgence to this type of Mahapápa (great sin).” (1)

Conclusion

By this entire scene it is clear that the Hindu Fundamentalists got victory by converting Raganugananda to their harmful, Hindu dogma. Yet, this Wt is foolishly bragging on YouTube how he supported Hindu dogma at this school. By this way, Dada really became drowned in their dogma.

In Him,
Rudrapratap Singh

If you want to see other photos from this occasion, kindly write us.

~ In-depth study ~

See here above how Raganugananda visited an RSS school (Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Singrauli, M.P.) Sadly, Dada became fully involved in their Hindu fundamentalist puja. Dada’s duty was to introduce them to dharmic practices and make them into Ananda Margiis, but instead he became one of them by participating in their dogmatic, ritualistic harmful dogma. It is similar to one purodha who went to the mosque and instead of teaching them about sentient food, he started eating cow or goat meat with a mullah on the occasion of Eid Ul fiter.

In 1990 when Baba initiated many brahmacariis into avadhuta sadhana, and took oath as an avadhuta, while giving blessing to them, Baba said, "These are the newly created avadhutas who are going to all corners of the globe to propagate Bhagavata dharma.” And in many other occasions, while giving the definition of avadhuta, Baba told the audience that "Avadhutas are those who are above all kinds of degrading propensities. and have established themselves in brahma bhava. They are elevated and can be called as a second god."

Pollution in NKS book

Baba

Pollution in NKS book
Namaskar,

See how the red-coloured line in the below quote goes against a proven scientific theory. And we know that everything Baba says is in strict concert with modern science.
Here below is a paragraph as it appears in the English edition of Namami Krsnasundaram. And the below red-coloured line is most certainly a mistake by the Publishing Dept.

In Namami Krsnasundaram, it is printed as: "The human mind moves in a particular flow according to its inherent saḿskáras. If it finds congenial vibrations in all directions, vibrations with greater wavelengths than its own, then its own mental vibrations of lesser wavelength become straightened, attaining greater wavelengths. This is anukúlavedaniiyam, and the vedaná (in Bengali vedaná means “pain”, but in Sanskrit it means anubhúti [feeling]) that arises in an environment of longer waves is termed sukha; where the vedaná is uncongenial, it is known as klesha [affliction] or duhkha. The wavelengths of uncongenial vibrations are shorter than those of the congenial vibrations. Aesthetic science implies that psychic waves coming in contact with vibrations of greater frequency attain a greater wavelength, and we may say, Anukúlavedaniiyaḿ sukham [“A congenial mental feeling is called happiness”]. (1)

The first half of the above quote is contradictory to the second half because of the distortion. To correct this problem we consulted the original audio files and we found that the above red-coloured line is not what Baba spoke. Please continue reading to see what Baba actually said and how the publications dept inserted the wrong line which carried the wrong meaning.

Original Bangla transcription

In the original Bengali discourse, Baba did not use the word "frequency." Here is a transcription of His original discourse in Bengali.

nandan vijianat'a' hocche, je diirghatar taranger samshparshe ese jakhan nijer ma'nas dha'ra'o diirgha'it hoye ja'cche ta'ke bolii anukúlavedaniiyaḿ sukham.

Now let's pursue the English translation of this line in a step-by-step fashion. First here is a phrase-wise English translation of the original Bengali.

Aesthetic science is - coming in contact with longer waves - when one's mental waves also become longer - that we call anukúlavedaniiyaḿ sukham.

Second is line meaning in English of this passage.

Aesthetic science means coming in contact with longer waves, then one's own mental flow becomes longer. We call that anukúlavedaniiyaḿ sukham.

Finally here is the refined version of that line.

Aesthetic science implies that when psychic waves come in contact with longer waves, then one's own mental flow becomes longer. We call that anukúlavedaniiyaḿ sukham.

Thus there no place for the term "frequency" in this translation.

Corrected paragraph

Below is how the paragraph reads with the insertion of the updated text, i.e. a proper translation of what Baba actually spoke.

"The human mind moves in a particular flow according to its inherent saḿskáras. Aesthetic science implies that when psychic waves come in contact with longer waves, then one's own mental flow becomes longer. We call that anukúlavedaniiyaḿ sukham. [“A congenial mental feeling is called happiness”].

The above paragraph should be placed in the English edition of Namami Krsnasundaram.

Everything Sadguru Baba teaches is in accordance with natural law and scientific principles. And now with the insertion of the correct line in the above paragraph, it is very clear Baba's guideline from His book Namami Krsnasundaram is in concert with the scientific law that frequency and wavelength have an inverse relationship.

Actually in that passage, Baba is not talking about frequency. Only the Publishers wrongly inserted that term thereby rendering the passage unscientific.

What Baba is really saying is that as shorter psychic waves comes in contact with longer psychic waves, then one's mental flow becomes longer, and that is a state of happiness.

Conclusion

The aforementioned error / distortion needs to be corrected at the earliest. Baba's published discourse should reflect what He actually spoke and not project unscientific ideas that He Himself never spoke.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "The scriptures containing spiritual injunctions must be totally flawless." (2)

So it is a shame that those in Publications could not manage this. Please forward this to the Tiljala Publications Dept.

In Him,
Ashish

Scientific law

It is an elementary principle of physics that frequency and wavelength are reciprocal to each other, i.e. wavelength decreases with the corresponding increase in frequency and vice versa. And frequency is the number of vibrations per second. And the mathematical relation is given by ( ν α 1/ λ) where ν indicates frequency and λ indicates wavelength.

The following graphic is helpful in understanding the relationship between frequency and wavelenth.

As is transcription of relevant section of Namami Krsnasundaram

“না, নিজের সাংস্কারিক তরঙ্গ থেকে হ্রস্বতর | তো, নন্দনবিজ্ঞানটা হচ্ছে যে দীর্ঘতর তরঙ্গের সংস্পর্শে এসে যখন নিজের মানসধারাও দীর্ঘায়িত হয়ে যাচ্ছে, তাকে ৰলি 'অনুকূলবেদনীয়ং সুখম্‌' | আর উল্টোটা হলে ৰলি |”

~ In-depth study ~

TP wrote: ….Aesthetic science implies that psychic waves coming in contact with vibrations of greater frequency attain a greater wavelength...

The above bold, red coloured line in purple does not make any sense; it goes against basic scientific foundations and formulas. It is well established that the relationship between frequency and wavelengths is inverse. That means, as frequency increases then wavelengths decreases, and vice-versa. But that is not what is expressed in the cited discourse.

Anti-scientific things in NKS: Distortion by TP

Here below is the explanation for why the above red line is false.

When anything is vibrated to and fro it creates a wave in the environment with different curvatures in it. If the wave contains more curvatures we say it's wavelength is shorter as their curvatures are narrow. But if the curvatures are less and broad then it is treated as a higher wavelength. Hence to create higher wavelength in a wave less vibrations per second (i.e. low frequency) are needed. According to philosophy Cosmic Mind, has zero frequency hence emanates waves of infinite wave length, i.e. no curvature, or it is like a straight line. Whereas our unit mind vibrates ceaselessly all the 24 hours and therefore has a higher frequency, emanating waves of lower wavelength, i.e. of more curvatures. One can identify the Cosmic Mind if they are able to minimize their frequency of mind and lessen the narrowness of the waves coming out of it. As soon as the curvature of the unit mind changes into a straight line it tries to maintain parallelism with the Cosmic Mind and finally comes in resonance. In this way the identification with the divine is purely a scientific phenomenon.

1. Baba's discourses are scientific.
2. Ananda Marga is not a religion and irrational; fanciful tales are not included in AM shastra as with the religions.
3. anything unscientific in our AM discourses is the fault of the publishers.

This must be checked, corrected, and updated at the earliest. Otherwise, members of the scientific community and scholars will wrongly  conclude that the spiritual teachings of Ananda Marga are unscientific. This issue demands our attention and those in Tiljala should be urged to look into this matter.

Namaskar,
In Him,
Dr. T.R. Sukul

PP & women?

Baba

PP & women?

Namaskar,

In our Ananda Marga society, there is strict gender separation. Dadas initiate brothers and Didis initiate sisters, and there is a clear division on all fronts between males and females. And our top Wts are to be exemplars in this regard. Unfortunately, a serious breach of ethics has occurred.

#1: Sadguru Baba guides us that the acarya will always be the same gender as the initiate. So the situation never arises for a female to touch a Dada’s feet. This greeting of touching the feet is not meant to be done to the opposite sex.

But see here what is going on with PP Vishvadevananda. One young female is touching PP Dada’s feet, which goes against our Ananda Marga conduct rules.

The above scene is a clear violation of Caryacarya and Wt conduct rules.

#2: रुग्णवस्था तथा जिस किसी विशेष अवस्था को छोड़कर पर नारी तथा पर पुरुष को यथा सम्भव परस्पर स्पर्श नहीँ करना चाहिये ।

#3: This below conduct rule also is related with this issue.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, "During the period of menstruation: They [females] must not touch any adult male." (1)

in Him,
Pramita’

Special notes

(A) The worst part is that in reporting Vishvadevananda sits directly in front of Baba’s photo. So those attendees can only see Vishvadevananda and not Baba.

(B) Politically, Vishvadevananda is an earthworm. He just sits in the pocket up Rudrananda. That is another angle of the whole story.

(C) Two PPs have been imposed on AMPS and both are worthless. Shraddhananda was chosen by Sarvatmananda and Vishvadevananda was chose by Rudra / Nigama.

~ In-depth study ~

Sadguru Baba guides us that the acarya will always be the same gender as the initiate. So the situation never arises for a female to touch a Dada’s feet. This greeting of touching the feet is not meant to be done to the opposite sex.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya says, "In the absence of any previous relationship, and depending upon their respective ages, the relationship between the ácárya/á and the initiate will be that of an elder brother/sister and a younger brother/sister. In case the initiate is younger in age, he/she may greet the ácárya/á by touching the ácárya/á’s feet. Even if the ácárya/á is younger in age, initiates may touch the ácárya/á’s feet in greeting if they wish." (2)

Ananda Marga Caryacarya says, “It should be remembered that a woman’s friend is a woman and a man’s friend is a man. The more distant the relationship between men and women, the greater should be the courtesy maintained in mutual conversation and behaviour between them.” (3)

Ananda Marga Caryacarya says, “Unrelated men and women should not touch one another as far as possible.” (4)
