He mindlessly wrote: “Happy Niilakantha Divasa”

Namaskar,
These days people have become so overly busy that life has become mechanical. Often we see that people have stopped thinking - and they became like robots. Just they are going about their day from activity to activity in a mindless manner. They are acting without thinking.

And verily Baba says that since the World Wars the thinking capacity of human beings has drastically declined.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Generally we see that the human thinking capacity becomes somewhat dull in the wake of a major catastrophe. This accounts for the present psychic state of the human race which, as a result of two major wars which took place within a short period of time, is suffering from various miseries and tribulations. Humanity is at present unable to think, read or comprehend anything serious.” (AFPS-1, The Practice of Art and Literature)

Rational thinking is what makes human as human. Once a person stops using that faculty of mind - i.e. rational thinking - they lose their quality of being human.

And the absolute worst is now when the mind has become even more bifurcated, trifurcated, and balkanised. Here is one such. A few days ago, one very sincere margii mindlessly put this on his Facebook page.

He wrote: “Happy Niilakantha Divasa”

But Niilakantha Divasa is not a happy day. Rather it commemorates the day when Sadguru Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji was poisoned. And He has given the guideline that on this day we are to protest all sorts of injustices. That is what Baba has given in His discourse on Niilakantha Divasa.

But just in His mindless, mechanical manner, this margii is wishing everyone “Happy Niilakantha Divasa”, when this very greeting itself is not in accordance with the spirit of the occasion.

If in your life a terrible incident happened where you lost a major court case or your house was destroyed in an earthquake, and then if someone appraoches you and says, “Happy earthquake day” - then how would you feel.

Remember, this is the day that Baba was poisoned. How can we say it is a happy day.

If when I am going through a personal tragedy in my life and someone says to me, “Happy tragedy day”, then I would have ignored the matter. Because it is my personal issue. But how can I ignore it     when my Guru is involved. And overall, I was terrified thinking that if this became a catchphrase that became popularised everywhere, then it would be difficult to stop, etc from going viral on social media etc.

== Dada N is that arrogant Wt who maligns Sadguru ==

Note: Please bear in mind that those who do not have reverence for Guru or His teachings, and lack Guru bhakti, can't understand this topic.

Namaskar,
To understand this point, one should know how newspapers are used in India and in so-called poor countries around the globe - especially in impoverished neighborhoods and slums.
(a) newspapers are used as diapers when little kids pass stool, diarrhea, dysentery in their pants;
(b) newspapers are used by poor and homeless people who stuff it inside their underwear to soak up the dripping urine / incontinence;
(c) newspapers are tossed by the side of the road where street dogs and wild pigs urinate on them;
(d) newspapers are used as toilets where people defecate into them and toss it into the open sewage line along the side of the road in the slums

So the above are some of the very real and common ways newspapers are used in cities and towns in India and so-called poor countries and destitute regions around the globe, especially in impoverished neighborhoods and slums. Please keep this graphic vision in mind as you read this letter.

Newspaper used as diaper, feminine hygiene etc in slums

Here below is the photo of Dada Nirmohananada - he is one of the dadas who keeps putting Guru’s photo in the newspaper whereby it gets used as a diaper in the slums. It is most unfortunate. In spite of repeated requests by countless margiis and Wts not to print Baba’s photo in the newspaper, Dada Nirmohananda told, “I do not care about Guru’s teaching, I will do according to my liking.” In this way he disregards these pleas and contravenes Guru’s obvious teachings which forbids such acts and he publishes Baba’s photo in the newspaper - again and again.

Below Dada Nirmohananda’s photo is an excerpt from a university research paper where the term newspaper is highlighted. And that research paper explains how the newspaper is used for defecating. See also the link attached to the article.

Once again here above is the photo of Dada Nirmohananda - if you have not read this already then please know he is the one who keeps putting Guru’s photo in the newspaper whereby it gets used as a diaper in the slums.

True disciples maintain sanctity of Marga Guru’s photo

The dharmashastra of our Ananda Marga ideology clearly states that the sanctity of Marga Guru’s photo must be maintained.

“You shall protect, in all respects and at all costs, the dignity of your treasures and the sanctity of your flag, of your emblem, and of the pratikrti [photo] of Márga Guru.” (1)

That means the sanctity of your Sadguru’s photo must be safeguarded always. On this matter, there is no scope for compromise.

So your Guru’s photo is to be protected in all conditions and circumstances – without fail. On this matter, every disciple of Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji has taken the oath to be very strict. And if any sadhaka disobeys this point they will sever their relation with Guru and ruin their spiritual life.

Unfortunately, some are going against this dharmic tantric code & harming themselves. What is it that they are doing? They are printing / publishing Guru’s photo in the newspaper. And this radically contravenes our the tantric code of sanctity of Marga Guru’s photo. Because newspapers are tossed by the side of the road where street dogs and wild pigs urinate on them.

Newspapers used by kids and adults as incontinence towel in the slums

Indeed, see how newspapers are used in India and around the globe:

(a) Newspapers are used as diapers so when little kids pass stool their feces gets completely mushed and pressed into that newspaper. So if Guru’s photo is published in the newspaper you can imagine how it will look.

(b) Newspapers are tossed by the side of the road where street dogs and wild pigs urinate on them. Those newspapers become completely saturated with that foul waste material, i.e. dog urine. Again just imagine how Guru’s photo will look if printed in the newspaper and this happened.

(c) Newspapers are used by poor and homeless people who suffer from incontinence. That means those poor patients place the newspaper in their groin where it is sweaty and sticky and the newspaper sits there all day to soak up the urine, drop by drop.

(d) Newspapers are used for blowing one’s nose and spitting, and then it gets tossed in the open sewage line along the side of the road.

Such is the grotesque fate of a typical newspaper, especially in India and similar regions etc. It is nauseating and unbearing to even think what it would be like to have Sadguru Baba’s photo soiled in this way.

That is why it is sinful, adharmic, and against the codes of tantra to publish Guru’s photo in the newspaper. In that case, the sanctity of Guru’s photo will be ruined.

Baba condemns this abhorrent act

Furthermore, Baba never approved His photo for being printed in the newspaper. Indeed, He would not even grant interviews to the press. Thus, His divine example is enough to guide us that His photo is not to be published in the newspaper.

Plus see here below ideological teaching from Caryacarya.

“You shall protect, in all respects and at all costs, the dignity of your treasures and the sanctity of...the pratikrti [photo] of Márga Guru.” (2)

Degraded disciples malign their Guru

This entire matter concerns the sanctity of Ista and is fundamental to safeguarding the sanctity of Guru’s photo. On this point there has to be cent-per-cent strictness. No Baba photo should ever appear in the newspaper or similar type of publication etc. As Ananda Margiis, it is our duty to abide by Sadguru Baba’s wish. We must adhere to His word, and follow the fundamental of Ananda Marga ideology.

“You shall protect, in all respects and at all costs, the dignity of your treasures and the sanctity of...the pratikrti [photo] of Márga Guru.” (3)

Those who contravene Guru’s teachings will have to face the grave consequences as they have committed sin  by insulting Guru.

Namaskar,
in Him,
Kalyani

Photos of relief programs should be printed in the newspaper

Ok - when Guru’s photo should not be printed in the newspaper, then what should be printed? Actually, there are a whole host of photos that can be used that highlight our social service activities. Innumerable Wts and margiis are deeply involved in social service projects and those can be printed in the newspaper on a daily basis.

“You shall protect, in all respects and at all costs, the dignity of your treasures and the sanctity of your flag, of your emblem, and of the pratikrti [photo] of Márga Guru.” (4)

Evil deeds of this Dada

The one Dada who regularly insults Guru by publishing Sadguru Baba’s photo in the newspaper is Dada Nirmohananda (Central Public Relations Secretary). In this way Guru’s photo gets tossed on the road where diseased street dogs and pigs urinate on it.

Indeed, this Dada Nirmohananda insults Guru again and again. Margiis have raised this concern with him repeatedly, but Dadaji never stops committing this sin. Again and again, Nirmohananda violates this fundamental tantric code. It seems he has zero regard for Baba’s guidelines. Nirmohananda is a d. in human form.

“Avadhuta shall always keep himself engaged in the service of Gurudeva with sincerity and devotion, in thought, words and deed, in subtle and in crude spheres, in inner and outer expressions of life.” (5)

“We are all children of the same Father. We are all member of the same family. By fighting against all kinds of evil forces, we will establish the glory of our Father and the glory of our family.” (6)

If you want to see the actual newspaper cutting where Baba is insulted, then click here.

Here again is a reminder of the severity of this issue.

--

Please excuse me - but unfortunately due to poor resources, the below digital copy of Baba's image is hazy because it was poorly made with a cheap cell phone - but in the actual newspaper Sadguru's image is clear and bright. So just know that the below is an extremely low quality image.

Distortion in AM book : Ova and spermatozoa, chemical compounds

Baba

Distortion in AM book : Ova and spermatozoa, chemical compounds

Namaska’r to all,

The advent of Taraka Brahma on this dusty planet brings a new refreshing source of inspiration for human beings to progress towards Him via His pristine teachings. Lord Shiva, Lord Kr’sna, and Baba have provided such inspiration and vibration to the humanity via their teachings.

Unfortunately during Lord Shiva, the written word was not yet developed and thus His teachings were not recorded. It must be noted that all that is contained in Bhagwad Giita’ today are not the teachings given by the Lord Kr’sna. Due to a large passage of time after Lord Kr’sna leaving His physical body numerous corruptions have entered into Bhagwad Giita’.

Baba spoke about this fact in many places. The teachings of Baba must be protected lest it will meet the same end as Bhagwad Giita’.

This issue is very critical due to two reasons, (1) after Baba’s physical departure not many years have passed, thus this is the ideal time to recalibrate the written records of His teachings and (2) there are many corruptions and distortions that have crept in.

This letter describes one such distortion. Due to carelessness and sloppiness by Tiljala Publications, this beautiful discourse has been ruined. It needs urgent rectification.

Please see below the passage from Ananda Marga books and pay attention to the highlighted line - that is the problematic phrase.

See the distortion in Ananda Marga books

"Compared to mechanical babes, biological babes will be perfect. Ova and spermatozoa, both being chemical compounds, can be created in a laboratory. Embryos, created by the fusion of spermatozoa and ova, can also be developed in a laboratory. Babes created by such a method will be called biological babes." (1)

Explanation

Please see again, The problematic sentence is highlighted: “Ova and spermatozoa, both being chemical compounds.”

Now, first we should understand what a chemical compound is. A chemical compound is a substance made up of molecules that in turn are made by chemical bonding of atoms of several elements. The chemical compound per se has no signs of life, such as growth and reproduction. Ova and spermatozoa on the other hand are living entities. It would be an oversimplification to call ova and spermatozoa as chemical compounds. They have life and their own minds - they are not just  chemical compound. In light of this, it is a matter of common sense to note that this idea - “Ova and spermatozoa, both being chemical compounds” - is outlandish.

In various discourses, Baba has talked about spermatozoa and ova. He says that as the ova and spermatozoa each have their own life form. Thus the notion of ova and spermatozoa being mere chemical compounds is false and a distortion introduced by Tiljala Publications.

In Him,
Bhakti

~ In-depth study ~

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "There will be two kinds of laboratory babes – mechanical and biological. Mechanical babes will be like dolls operated by electric power. The different organs of these babes can be put into action by different substations. These substations may be located within the body. These babes will have no sex difference or nervous system. Being bereft of a nervous system they will not be able to do sádhaná, and they will not experience pain and pleasure. Nor will they be able to reproduce. They will serve human beings as silent and obedient servants according to the directions of their masters." (2)

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Compared to mechanical babes, biological babes will be perfect. Ova and spermatozoa, both being chemical compounds, can be created in a laboratory. Embryos, created by the fusion of spermatozoa and ova, can also be developed in a laboratory. Babes created by such a method will be called biological babes." (3)

How Life Is Created
Ova and spermatozoa both have life

Ananda Marga philosophy teaches us, “In the uterus the basic physical structure is first formed. This structure has potential energy and emanates a wavelength. It receives the potentiality from the momentum of the spermatozoa. Spermatozoa get their motion from the vital potentiality of the male body, and that is why the living being is said to reside first in the seminal fluid of the male and then in the mother’s womb; after which the bosom of Mother Earth receives it.” (4)

Ananda Marga philosophy teaches us, “Since the physical structure starts from spermatozoa which have a positive motion, and, therefore, a wavelength, the physical structure thus formed must have a wavelength accordingly. We have already seen that the dissociated mind also has a wavelength (in a potential form) and a momentum which has to be expressed. The dissociated mind needs physical parallelism for proper expression, and therefore the Cosmic mutative force causes the dissociated mind from eternal space to enter the adjustable physical structure, assuming a form in the mother’s womb. This is how life comes into physical creation.” (5)

Mahaprayan of Didi ji

Baba

Mahaprayan of Didi ji

Namaskar,
It is with much sadness that we share with you news of the mahaprayan (death) of respected Didi Ananda Mantika who passed away the other evening in Ranchi hospital - intensive care unit. She was only 30 years of age. Didi was suffering from severe asthma / debilitated lungs and liver disease and was transported from Darbhanga to Ranchi a few, short days ago when her condition became acute. Even then, ultimately, her medical conditioned worsened and led to her mahaprayan.

On this solemn occasion of Didi Ananda Mantika's mahaprayan, surely all will recall her many contributions to the Marga and her valiant life as an ardent sadhaka and dedicated disciple of the Lord - Shrii Shrii Anandamurti jii. Indeed, Didiji was raised in our Ananda Marga children's home. Those days she was known as Meera.

As a home girl, she learned early on that Baba is her Supreme Father, and she came forward and became a wholetimer serving the Marga mission. Of her many talents, in particular, Didiji was an accomplished singer and would often sing kiirtana and Prabhata Samgiita in a very melodious and charming manner.

May we all take solace in the fact that our dear Didi was a devotee of Sadguru Baba. Certainly she will attain mukti or moksa, accordingly. Baba will lovingly bestow His grace and she will remain eternally under His Supreme shelter.

at the lotus feet of Baba,
Dayavati

"Mahaprayan" means death of mortals - confirm for yourself
from the Samsad Bengali-English Dictionary

Mahaprayan (Death): Many are aware that mahaprayan (death) is the common term used in India and especially in Bengal to describe the death of any human being, even ordinary people. In that way, the obituary columns of the newspapers of Bengal regularly cite the mahaprayan (death) of various persons of society who died or passed away.

Some may get confused and wrongly think that the word 'mahaprayan' (death) is one extraordinarily devotional term to be used in association with Parama Purusa. But that is not at all the case. Rather to do so is only to undermine the eternal presence of Parama Purusa. That is why no devotees ever use the word 'mahaprayan' in reference to Lord Shiva or Lord Krsna. Because Lord Shiva and Lord Krsna exist eternally. Then there is no question of Their mahaprayan (death).

Baba is Parama Purusa so He is eternal and there is no question of His mahaprayan.

Here it should be known that the convention of an annual death day ceremony (i.e. shraddhainjali or mahaprayan) is a foundation of the Islamic tradition. Muslims are well known for this, and their approach of an annual death day ceremony was adopted by the leader of a particular group in AMPS. So no one should think that mahaprayan is some type of sacred event. It is done on the death day anniversary of Muslims.

And for those who need still more technical proof then all this can be clarified quite readily by referencing the dictionary. Specifically in the Samsad Bengali-English dictionary on page 742. Checking there it will be confirmed that the word 'mahaprayan' means death. Which is why it is used to refer to the passing away of even common citizens.

Mahaprayan is only for humans not for Sadguru

Here it should be qualified that there is both real mahaprayan and fake mahaprayan. Real mahaprayan marks the death of any ordinary human being, just like the aforesaid news. This is the proper use of the term: To note a person's departure from this earth. That is the meaning of the mahaprayan term and that is the standard way the term is used in Indian languages.

Then there is the fake, or so-called, or dogmatic mahaprayan. That is when certain vested interests try to apply the mahaprayan term to Parama Purusa Himself. This is grossly inappropriate because when Parama Purusa Sadguru Baba is that Divine Entity who is beginningless and endless and resides always in our heart, then it is entirely wrong to proclaim that He is gone.

That is why rational margiis are protesting; because the Oct 21st program is so-called mahaprayan. So-called means that something is fake. Parama Purusa is eternal, thus for some vested interests to declare "mahaprayan of Parama Purusa" is nothing but so-called mahaprayan.

Mahaprayan only really happens in the case of human beings, not Parama Purusa. Those doing mahaprayan for Sadguru are hypocrites.

Story: Sitting on Baba's lap means died?

Recently after dharmacakra, a senior margii was recounting his experiences of having dharma samiiksa with Baba.

He said, "After being punished by Baba, then He called me close and placed me on His lap - I remained there for some time soaking up His love - and He blessed me."

We all enjoyed hearing about his personal account with Baba during dharma samiiksa. When he finished telling his story, there was a call for questions. Various people posed their queries.

"How did Baba bring you back to life?"

Towards the end, one new margii raised his hand and asked, "How did Baba bring you back to life?"

Everyone stared at the new margii in amazement. There was a look of astonishment all around - people were really shocked to hear him say this.

The new sadhaka sensed that something was awry.

He said very matter-of-factly, "I thought that sitting on Baba's Lap means that he (the margii) died - that is why I asked that question."

This was quite eye-opening for those of us in the room: Through our language and expression we had unknowingly taught someone to think that being on Baba's lap is the equivalent of death. Because it seems that nowadays people only use the phrase "Baba's lap" when a person has died, such as "Let him rest peacefully in Baba's lap", as if in order to sit on Baba’s lap one has to die. But that is false. Sincere sadhakas regularly sit on Baba’s lap in their meditation. It is His grace. It is just like a child need not die in order to sit on hi father’s lap.

Confusion about sitting on Baba's lap

At that moment I thought that everyone, new and old, should be clear about the real and devotional meaning of this phrase, "being on Baba's lap." It should not become stigmatized such that it only means death. Because in its true sense, the phrase "being on Baba's lap" really does carry a highly devotional and sweet feeling.

It is just like how a small child sits on its parent's lap. In a similar way, a spiritual child (human being) sits on the lap of Parama Purusa. By Baba's grace this can happen anytime in one's sadhana, especially in dhyana. Such a phrase then should not become  stigmatized because too many people only use it at the time of death.

We should be careful that we do not relegate "Baba's lap" only to the point of death.

The connotation of death must not become synonymous with "being on Baba's lap." Because the phrase - "being on Baba's lap" - is a devotional experience that can happen today itself in sadhana, and especially in dhyana. The phrase "being on Baba's lap" should not lose this quality and only mean death. It should not meet the same dark fate as happened with the term harijan. Nowadays, for the occasion of death / mahaprayan, 99.9% of the time people use the phrase "on Baba's lap", and for devotional stories the phrase "on Baba's lap" is used 0.01% of the time. That is why - for devotional purposes - this phrase is already included on the endangered species list.

Lest meet same fate as "harijan"

As we all know, these days in India nobody uses the term harijan to mean "a devotee". Whereas 70 years ago it was used in that way. The term harijan did mean bhakta. But ever since the time of Gandhi when he glued the harijan term to the lowest so-called caste, i.e so-called untouchables, nobody uses the the harijan to mean devotee. Never. Because the term harijan has been stigmatized to mean "untouchable". Nobody uses it to mean "devotee", but that is the original and true meaning of the word.

The phrase, "sitting on Baba's lap", should not meet a similar fate. It should not lose its devotional quality and just refer to one's death. That will be very negative.

Baba would bless devotees and place them on His lap

There are tens of thousands of recorded stories by sadhakas where they use the phrase, "on Baba's lap", when describing their experiences of being with Baba: He used to bless them and bring them on His lap.     People should understand the deeply devotional value of this expression, and not just think that Baba's lap means death, i.e. that you can only sit on His lap at the time of death. Still today there are thousands of margiis walking this earth who sat in Baba's lap. And not only that, there are countless more sadhakas who were blessed by Baba in dreams and dhyana wherein they sat in His lap. And still today this deeply devotional experience is attainable by sadhakas, by His grace.

There are so many ways an aspirant can reach unto Baba's lap including in sadhana and especially during dhyana. That is the main idea that should be preserved. Sadhana is a devotional practice and one can sit on Baba's lap in dhyana. We should make it cent-per-cent clear to one and all that the phrase, "sitting on Baba's lap", does not mean death.

Dogma:
if "on Baba's lap" only used for death

Here are quoted lines from recently posted emails on various forums, wherein the writer uses the phrase - "in Baba's lap" - with the occasion of death - and verily this top line happened just today on the Ananda Marga Google Groups forum:

- "Now she is taking rest in Baba's Lap."

- "May he rest in HIS loving lap of eternity."

- "We are sure that Baba has taken him in His loving lap."

- "May his soul rest in Baba's lap forever."

- "Let her rest peacefully in Baba's Lap - which she always desired."

- "now he is in beloved Baba's lap"

- "May his soul get peaceful place in His lap"

- "He is now in BÁBÁ'S loving lap"

- "May Baba bless him with a seat in His lap."

- "May BABA accept him in HIS divine lap!"

- "May Baba take him in his eternal loving lap."

- "Please keep him on Your lap forever."

All of the above lines are commonly written in eulogizing the deceased. Of course, it is fine to write like that. Here the point is that this same phrase "in Baba's lap" should also be used when describing one's devotional practices and experiences. But these days mostly it is used in a eulogy and rarely used to recount one's devotional experiences - unfortunately. By this way, the phrase "in Baba's lap" is being misused and step by step the real meaning is being forgotten as now people more commonly use the phrase to eulogize those who have died, and much less so to express their devotional feeling. Unfortunately, the meaning and inner spirit of the phrase is getting lost.

Here again is the central idea:

The idea is that this phrase - Baba's lap - has been linked with death due to extreme overuse. So for some time if sadhakas use this phrase exclusively for devotional purposes, that will be best.

Re: Thief, thief, thief?

Respected Dadaji,

Namaskar.

From this platform [Ananda Marga News Bulletin] many articles, as regards plagiarism, have been published time to time and are awakening readers and writers in this way.

It is undoubtedly clear that whatever knowledge we as Ananda Margiis have, is the knowledge achieved from ever-graceful Baba's discourses. Can anyone claim that he possessed such philosophical knowledge before he heard / learned Baba's discourses? Answer is no.

Now, if we do viprochit seva as per Guru's system, may be man to man discussion or writing articles regarding Guru's teachings, we refer it to Revered Baba and march ahead seeking His permission and grace mentally. Yet when we write articles and quote Baba's statements, the referred book's name should be mentioned at the footnote or at the end in references, at least once. This is the proper way of citation and paying respect to the original writer.

But as is mentioned in above letter and in many others posted earlier, if any person, margii, wt, or senior dada writes without referring to the concerned discourse / book is really against our moral code i.e. Yama and Niyama. If we have set our aim to propagate ideals and teachings of Revered Gurudev then why we should be ashamed to say “Tava dravyam jagad guro tubhymev samarpaye"?

At His Lotus Feet Always

Re: Dada Santosananda is propagating bogus things

Namaskar.

Baba's is infinitely more lenient than me. He would say that if we couldn't make these Margiis/Acaryas understand they are acting like mahapatakiis that we should invoke the practice of silent action until they admit their folly and change their behavior. I haven't seen any behavioral changes.

I say that Baba is more lenient than me because of I had my way I'd have their acaryaship revoked and kick them out of their roles of leadership. How many would agree?

We have become too liberal and too complacent. Our inaction makes us just as irresponsible as these blind leaders I've been hearing and reading about over the years within Baba's missionary organization.

I'm getting sick and tired of these personal, cultural, selfish ways certain individuals have incorporated in our Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha to  ruin the most beautiful and pragmatic ideology Baba has put forth on this planet to bring all to the Path of Bliss, that is, to Him.

Let's start thinking how we can band together and figure out a way to remove these idiots if.they can't be reasoned with.

Brotherly Yours,

Vyas

"Bhakta Samaj" editors--Thief, thief, thief?

Note: Please bear in mind that those who do not give importance to Baba's divine teachings and those emotionally attached with a particular dada or group may choose not to read this letter. A balanced and rational outlook is needed to understand this topic.

Namaskar,
As we all know, Bhakta Samaj aims to be one of the magazines in our Ananda Marga. Such periodicals and publications are for spreading the divine teachings of our Sadguru Baba, Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji.

Yet instead of highlighting Baba, one avadhuta stole Baba’s words and published them without any reference or citation. That is the injustice and sinful dealing that occurred in the recent Bhakta Samaj magazine.

Specifically, on page 4 of the Bhakta Samaj  magazine (Jan 2016 edition), the editors stole from Guru’s discourse and published it in their magazine, without citing this as Baba’s article.

Dada Santosananda ji has taken long excerpts from the discourse - "How Should A Devotee Behave" - from Ananda Vacanamrtam part 7 and published it on the editorial / publisher's page in his Hindi Bhakta Samaj magazine without giving any reference or credit to the Author, i.e. Baba. Yet it is Guru’s discourse from 26 Dec 1978 Kolkata.

Now here comes the trick: cunning maneuver indeed

Further to befool others, Dada Santoshananda ji did not insert any quotation marks around Baba’s original words. This very deceptive tactic  gives a false impression to readers as they will naturally think this section was written by the magazine editors or staff etc. So this is a clear-cut case of literary theft, i.e. plagiarism.

Not only that, there is another twist to the puzzle that shows just how cunning Dada Santoshananda ji is. Neither did he put Guru’s name, nor did he sign his own name. Dadaji just left it blank. In this way, readers will simply presume it was written by Bhakta Samaj personnel / editors. So Dadaji will automatically get credit for it.

But - now here comes the trick - Dadaji has given himself an out as well.

Because on the oft chance that someone does recognise the article as being Guru’s discourse and approaches the Bhakta Samaj publishers about this, then Dada Santoshananda can feign innocence. He can say, “Look, I know that is Guru’s discourse - because as you see I did not sign my own name there - just I forgot to put the quotation marks etc.” In this way Dadaji has hatched his escape route to free himself of any and all culpability. A cunning maneuver indeed.

In Him,
Rekha singh

~ For in-depth reading ~

Further down below please reference the English version of the Hindi discourse which Dada Santoshananda stole from page 39-40 of AV-7 Hindi 1993 edition.

“If there is even a little fault in you"

Here it should be added that Dada Santoshananda ji has been in the publishing business for 45+ years. He is well aware of the ethics and the industry standards. So no one should think that this was just an honest mistake or a result of Dadaji naivete. It is not like that - Dadaji is a senior editor and knows all the ins and outs of the publishing world.

“If there is even a little fault in you, you should keep your mouth closed and accept it all, and you should thank the person for pointing out your fault and ask for punishment.” (1)

“Due to carelessness, if any mistake has been committed unknowingly or unconsciously, one must admit it immediately and
ask for punishment.” (2)

So if these editors are honest they will keep quiet and mend their ways, and not give any type of false justification etc in hopes of extricating themselves from this messy situation. Just they should own up to their wrongdoing and fix the matter.

It is very surprising that the publishers enlisted a whole host of margiis as being officially involved in the Bhakta Samaj magazine. But those margiis should know that it is their duty not to associate themselves in this endeavour. Because they will be held liable for this wrongdoing of stealing Guru’s discourses. So such margiis  should request the publishers / editors to fix this problem, or those margiis will have not other recourse than to disassociate themselves from the magazine. Indeed it is bizarre why they allow their names to be linked with this type of plagiarism. Their name will be stained forever. It is their duty to pressurise Dada Santoshananda not to steal Baba’s discourses

True avadhutas feel proud to tell

Plagiarism: The world of the written word abides by certain codes and ethics. What these editors Avadhutas have done is not the norm – rather it is deception, the worst crime in the publishing world.

Those Dadas should be held accountable and liable for stealing Guru’s words. Indeed this is both a crime (theft) and a sin (betrayal to Guru).

As an avadhuta, when he is using Baba’s quote discourse he should feel proud to tell that this precious article has been given by his Guru. This is what a standard disciple will do. A true disciple will feel proud to tell that this is his Guru’s direct teaching.

Naive persons may think, “What is wrong – that is fine"
But here is the answer

Some naive persons may think, “What is wrong – that is fine – Dada Santosananda just took a chapter from Baba’s book – that is ok.” But if we allow Bhakta Samaj editors Dada Santosananda  to steal Baba’s discourse today, then tomorrow we may find that he or some yyz avadhuta has stolen Guru’s entire book – Idea & Ideology – and printed it in their own name. And the following week another yzyz avadhuta might steal “Ananda Marga: Elementary Philosophy” and print in in their own name or no name. This is the potential domino effect that will ensue.

Thus we should be vigilant at the outset and not allow anyone to steal Guru’s words and publish Guru’s original writing in their own name or no name.

Baba says, “Due to carelessness, if any mistake has been committed unknowingly or unconsciously, one must admit it immediately and ask for punishment.” (3)

Dada Santoshananda ji stole this discourse

Once again, Dada S stole the following discourse from the discourse "How Should a Devotee Behave" in Ánanda Vacanámrtam Part -7. This yellow section is from the middle of Guru's discourse and that is what he stole and placed on his own editorial / publisher's page in the magazine.

How Should a Devotee Behave?

26 December 1978, Kalikata

...

Amáninam mánadeyaḿ kiirtaniiyah sadá harih.

It is not with one's own strength and intellect that one does great things in life, but with the strength and intellect given by Parama Puruśa. Most of the credit for one's great actions should therefore go to Him. Someone who donates 100 million rupees to a worthy cause will be called a philanthropist. But the question is, who actually owns the money? In fact it is Parama Puruśa's money which happens to come in the possession of that so-called philanthropist. The main credit should therefore go to Parama Puruśa and the secondary credit to the donor whom Parama Puruśa was kind enough to use as a medium. That is why, if anyone is to be praised in this world, if anyone's virtues are to be extolled loudly through kiirtana, it should be Parama Puruśa. Kiirtana means to utter good words loudly; not mentally, nor in a whisper, but loud enough for everyone to hear. It is never done secretly, but always openly. There is no place in a devotee's life for hypocrisy – the devotee's thoughts, words and actions will never be contradictory. These simple and straightforward people will say what they think and do what they say. So devotees will openly sing praises to Parama Puruśa. Kiirtana means, as I said a little earlier, to sing the Lord's glory in a loud voice.

- Kindly write us if you would like the scan of the Bhakta Samaj magazine (Hindi) that shows the stolen / plagiarised material.

- If you would like the names of other parties involved in this theft / plagiarism, kindly write us.

- Every Ananda Margii knows that stealing is against yama and niyama, so it is the duty of true Ananda Margiis to condemn this act. This is the crucial time in Ananda Marga. If we cannot protect Guru's discourses, then decay will occur very quickly in Ananda Marga. So this is a very serious matter.

- About other religions, everyone is aware about their beliefs and dogmas. It has all been documented. But in Ananda Marga, up till now, the state of our scripture(s) is not very rosy. So vigilance is highly needed.

Look! Wt eulogizes idol - elephant god + 5 more

Baba

This email contains six sections:
1. Posting: Look! Wt eulogizes idol - elephant god

3. Prout: Fight against professional politicians

Look! Wt eulogizes idol - elephant god

Namaskar,

Ananda Marga ideology states, “The person is ideating on that stone, or wood, or metal, and what happens? Yadrshii bhávaná yasya siddhir bhavati tádrshii – “A person adopts a body according to their object of ideation.” Their own self is transformed into that entity, the entity which was their object of meditation. Now such people worshipping different forms of Prakrti finally take the form of those entities, and become stone, become wood, become metal. They are called Prakrtiliina. They become one with Prakrti and remain there for an indefinite period. What a durdaeva, I will say! What a painful state of existence!” (1)

Now see here below how one avadhuta is writing about himself in third person and encouraging others to do idol worship and get the blessings of the elephant god - Ganesh. But as Sadguru Baba guides us, idol worship is sinful and this elephant god is just one is mythological, dogmatic deity. So no true avadhuta should ever promote any form of idol worship in any way.

But look here what Dada Karunananda is doing and see how gross it is - as Dada Karunananda posted this to his own Facebook page.

Acharya Karunananda received the KARAM DIAMOND GANESHA photo at .Kanu Asodaria Home, of Amazing Natural Big Diamond. It Featured almost all the parts Closely , Resembling God Ganesha With Outlines of a Trunk , Eyes, Ears and Even Legs . It was mined like as it is the Ganesha idol From Mines. We like to share this RARITY & Nature's blessing with rest of the humanity / world, Please JOIN OUR MISSION. You to make others aware and also get Blessings of Ganesh ji, in this unique diamond form. — with Acharya Karunanandaand Karam Diamond Ganesha in Surat, India. (From Dada Karunananda’s Facebook page)

In addition, Dadaji included this below photo:

So the above is what Dada Karunananda posted to his own Facebook page whereby he is explicitly promoting and glorifying idol worship.

Now please see Sadguru Baba’s below teachings where He condemns idol worship and exposes the dogma behind the worship of the so-called elephant god - Ganesh.

Do you see how dangerous religious dogma it still is today?

Ananda Marga ideology states, “When Jainism and Buddhism became influential, phallus worship, Shiva worship, Jainism and Buddhism were blended together. Subsequently, a priesthood commenced. After some time many new deities were created, which represented different orders of Jain and Buddhist worship and reflected parochial interests. As soon as parochialism emerged, different kinds of dogma arose – whenever parochialism takes hold, dogma thrives. This was the rudimental cause of religious dogma. Since ordinary people had no alternative but to resort to religious dogma...
“….People were taught that they were poor because they had committed sinful acts in their past lives, and that they were rich because their past deeds were virtuous. Such teachings blocked any revolt against social disparity. Do you see how dangerous religious dogma was, and how dangerous it still is today? If you analyse each and every aspect of life which has been infected by religious dogma, you will find that the advocates of dogma are always motivated by the psychology of exploitation.” (2)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “The patriarch, or gańapati (gańesha), of a kśatriya society was worshipped in those days as a god, and in this worship the head of an elephant, recognized as the greatest animal, would be used as the head of the idol. And in fact this gańapati or gańesha [group leader] figure, after undergoing certain philosophical explanations in those ancient times, evolved into the god Gańesha. Even though society is now vaeshya-dominated, both linga and Gańapati are still commonly worshipped. Many people do not understand or deliberately try to forget that what underlies this form of worship is the primitive social outlook of the kśatriyas.” (3)

Must not indulge in religious dogma

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, “Not to call a thing what it is, but to call it something else, is known as slander. Therefore those who in the name of the beginningless, endless, formless Brahma worship idols, are indulging in deliberate slander. You must not give indulgence to this type of Mahapápa (great sin).” (4)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “You may participate in all kinds of innocent ceremonies. As, in principle, you do not support the philosophy of those who, in the name of worship of God, indulge in idolatry, do not participate in their ceremonies.” (5)

In the face of all of Guru’s above teachings, Dada Karunananda announced openly on his Facebook page how he advocates idol worship and he is inspiring all to seek out the blessing of Ganesh - the elephant god. This is what Dada K is doing on Facebook for all the world to see.

Not to forget - to read this

Indeed, if Dada K had done this privately - all alone - it would be sinful, but at least he would not have misguided the society. But now it is so much worse. Because with a photo of himself in the Ananda Marga avadhuta uniform and with his avadhuta name he is openly promoting idol worship and glorifying the elephant god. The outcome is very bad. Either naive people will think that really the elephant god is great, or they will think that Ananda Margiis are sheer hypocrites as Ananda Marga scripture condemns idol worship and here is one very senior avadhuta worshiping Ganesh.

As Ananda Margiis, we must never compromise with our ideals. We should not be goody-goodies - we should be keen to outline our principles and stand up for them. But this Dadaji failed to do. He completely forgot his avadhuta oaths, vows, and ideology.

WT conduct rules state, “Avadhuta shall always keep himself engage in the service of Gurudeva with sincerity and devotion, in thought, word, and deed, in subtle and crude spheres, in inner and outer expressions of life.” (6)

Conclusion

Guru Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji condemns idol worship and says it is terrible sin but this senior avadhuta is disobeying Guru by promoting this outrageous, illogical Hindu dogma. Now it is the duty of every Ananda Margii to condemn this and force Dadaji to remove this dogmatic post from his own Facebook page. Because what Dadaji is doing is promoting propaganda in favour of the dogmatic Hindu deity Ganesh.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “All dogma must be rooted out. You should start a revolution against dogma. But to start a revolution you need courage. So gather that courage and start a revolution against dogma.” (7)

in Him,
Viplava

By the way, one should not forget that when Wts go to non-margiis and those non-margiis offer tea or coffee, then this same Dada Karunananda does not accept their drink. Similarly as an avadhuta he must have the requisite courage not to surrender to idols.

Why fight against professional politicians

Prout philosophy states, “Most political leaders are either physical or intellectual criminals. Common human beings have to be protected from the clutches of these criminals. Proutists have to fight against today’s party politics. Proutists are not against politics or political science, but they have to fight against professional politicians. Only Sadvipras have the right to engage in politics; other people should be swept out from the field of politics. Political leaders depend on physical power. Though they talk of non-violence, they are guarded by the police force. Physical power is the crudest manifestation of energy. Sadvipras will use intuitional power – intellectual and physical power will work as their slaves, to be used according to the indications of intuitional power. It therefore goes without saying that a Sadvipra is stronger than a political leader.” (1)

Codes: Wagers, punishment, and forgiveness

Caryacarya states, "The habit of making wagers is extremely undesirable. You must avoid lotteries and gambling." (1)

Caryacarya states, "Prerequisites for shásti:
a) Before punishing a person you should consider whether you love him/her or not. You do not have the moral right to punish one whom you do not love.
b) Punishment should be meted out to reform and not to cause suffering.
c) The quantum of punishment must not exceed the quantum of love.
d) If some innocent person is pained by any of your actions, then without considering whether he/she is your superior or inferior, you should sincerely seek his/her forgiveness; this will only enhance your prestige." (2)

How this dada is confused + 3 more

This email contains four sections:
1. Posting: How this dada is confused

How this dada is confused

Namaskár,
For the all round welfare of mankind there is an urgent need to propagate (perform pracár of) the ideals of dharma, the Ánanda Márga teachings, graciously provided by our Bábá our Guru Shri Shri Ánandamu’rti jii. AM ácáryas are supposed to play a major role in this dharma pracár. Their entire life and all actions should be a practical realization of AM ideals. AM ácáryas should be role models for common people. Each action of an ácárya should be a teaching for other people follow.

However, there are some Dádás who are themselves confused about AM teachings and are thus not suitable for dharma pracár. One major issue is the trust people develop in these confused Dádás due to their orange garb. The “monkhood”ascribed to a Dádá’s uniform is sometimes dangerous as their one wrong action can make general population to follow them. This letter presents a non-befitting action of Dádá Krsnananda.

Dádá Krsnananda in his all online communication uses a signature quote purportedly of Bábá. His quotation is presented below in red for you to see.

Skype:krsnananda
www.anandakalyani.org

“He who loves Me, I snatch all his possessions, and he
who ever remains with me, and I become his slave.”
- Baba A'nandamu'rti

To become a bhakta one doesn’t have to become economically poor

Dádá Krsnananda’s act of having a Bábá quote is not bad in itself as, it provides the reader of his communication to always see a Bábá teaching. However, this tool of pracár turns out to be a double-edged sword when the quote is actually not that of Bábá but ascribed to Him. Reader of such a quote gets a wrong teaching in the name of AM teaching. This is harmful in two ways. Firstly, the reader gets misguided by a wrong teaching. Secondly, people who have slightly developed rationality think that Bábá’s teaching is defective and therefore image of AM is maligned.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “A man may be educated, may be illiterate, may be of fair complexion, may be of dark complexion, may be poor or may be rich, but all are within His mind. All are His psychic creation, all are His loving children, loving progeny of the loving Progenitor. So, nobody is unimportant, nobody is insignificant. Nobody should be suppressed, oppressed or repressed.” (1)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “To attain salvation is the birth right of all individual beings. Paramátmá makes no difference between educated and uneducated, rich and poor, young and old – no such external difference has any meaning to Him. He is the all-knowing entity. He judges everything by studying the inner sentiments of individuals.” (2)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Remember that in no situation are you helpless, in no situation are you alone. Whether you are intelligent or foolish, rich or poor, educated or uneducated, you are never helpless. In no situation do you have to live alone. Parama Puruśa is with you. He will remain with you. To remain with you is His dharma.” (3)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “He must associate Himself with everyone’s mind, listening to their thoughts and alleviating their sufferings, whether they are literate or illiterate, rich or poor, shouldering the responsibility for the entire creation. Only then does He deserve to be called Puruśottama. He who remains motionless like a distant star, indifferent to the sorrows and sufferings of created beings, but accepting their worship, is not Puruśottama.” (4)

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “In the case of bhaktas they may be literate or illiterate they may be poor or rich, but their remains no gap. They only know, “I am, my father is; there is no third entity between me and my Father.” That’s why they can come in close contact with Him.”” (5)

By the above quotes and teachings, it is obvious that both rich and poor are devotees. So one can have money and be a devotee. It is not that rich persons are sinners and that all poor people, beggars, and homeless folks are great bhaktas. In order to become a bhakta one doesn’t have to become poor in terms of wealth.

Clearly Dádá Krsnanandarsnanada is off the mark and attributing a fabricated quote and false idea to Sadguru Baba. How can Bábá snatch anything from bhaktas besides one’s samskáras? The relationship between a Bhakta and his Is’ta is a loving one. Bábá’s rich vocabulary to describe the relationship between Bhakta and his Is’ta can be witnessed in His prabhát samgiit. It is hard to swallow that Bábá will use a word like slave to describe this relationship. When a Bhakta goes close to Parama Purus’a he becomes one with Him. Parama Purus’a does not become Bhakta’s slave. When the individual existence of Bhakta gets annihilated there is no question of Parama Purus’a becoming Bhakta’s slave.

Summary

Thus we see that on a rational plane the quote provided by Dádá Krsnananda fails to belong to Bábá. One one hand Parama Purus’a’s criteria is based on devotion or bhakti and not based on mercy due to one’s poverty in material sphere. One the other hand the culmination point of bhakti is merger with Parama Purus’a and not making Him one’s slave. By using this quote in a widespread manner this confused Dádá is confusing and misguiding others too.

in Him,
Bhakti

Keep one’s eye fixed on the goal

“The movement and the path, the means and the chariot are all inseparably linked. The path is not always easily accessible, smooth and littered with flower petals; nor is it always inaccessible, thorny and covered with stones. One must keep one’s eye fixed on the Goal. This Goal provides inspiration, supplies the means for forward movement and makes the little lamps of life infinitely effulgent. Since eternity this very Goal has provided and is providing inspiration to all and will continue to do so in future; and by revitalising the life-force as if with a flow of water, it will make the earth ever full of sweetness, and at the same time it will keep the triumphant flag of humanity flying on top of the golden mountain peak. So let one’s vision be fixed on the goal. There is no necessity to think of anything else.” (Ananda Vanii #67)

Religious traders in Ananda Marga

Namaskar,
Ananda Marga ideology states, “In most cases religions took advantage of human weaknesses, crippled the people’s rationality, and sapped their strength, thus facilitating their exploitation by the religious traders. When the vitality and strength of the masses remains unexpressed, the exploiters will be able to exploit them in the economic and other spheres of life for a long time with relative ease. In the annals of human history it can be seen in all ages that the various exploiters were the patrons and the preachers of religion.” (1)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “You should never allow yourselves to fall victim to these political and religious traders. Remember that every individual has immense potentialities. Tap those potentialities and advance resolutely along the spiritual path. If you cannot stand erect on the solid ground on the strength of your spiritual power, no one can support you with a prop. You need not employ a paid agent to help you express your innate potentialities.” (2)

Dada Nirmohananda selling"blessed" rudraksa and stones

Baba says that no one should indulge in such types of negative professions which turn a profit by harming the public. For instance, one should not earn a living by selling alcohol or drugs, cheating others, lending money, and various other dealings which Baba has outlined like religious trading. Yet that is what a few of our Dadas are doing. They have become religious traders by selling dogmatic rudraksa and stones (religious merchandise) under false pretext that such rudraksa will protect people from harm and cure their mundane maladies. And they also sell horoscope and palmistry readings.

Ananda Marga ideology states, "One must have a clean occupation, that is, one must not do anything antisocial, one must not encourage anything antisocial, anything that goes against collective interest. That is samyak ájiiva in physical sphere. One may earn money by selling wine. One may earn money by stealing. These are not samyak ájiiva. Your occupation should be neat and clean – not going against the interest of the society." (3)

In the present-day society, there various wrongs done by businesses that harm the general society. Those dealing in pornography, lottery, drug smuggling etc do irreparable harm to society - as do religious traders like what Dada Nirmoha'nanda is doing. Dadaji is actively building his client base and cheating naive, innocent victims in the name of dharma / God. People are interested in securing their future so they buy a rudraksa from a priest - i.e. Dada N - who repeatedly assures them that this rudraksa will remove their bad samskaras and sin. Dadaji also promises that by this way so many good things will happen, such as one will experience proper health and find a suitable spouse etc.

And when the exploited person does not get the desired results or their disease is not cured, then Dada N immediately accuses them of not being sincere in their practice. This is his rapid, ready-made reply to quell their protest and put them on the defensive. Dadaji is very fast and efficient in threatening those exploited persons. And he is adept at selling them horoscope and palmistry readings.

Here following are further points for consideration.

Just a sales pitch like fake sadhus do

Their "sales pitch" is no different from what dogmatic Indian sadhus tell to dupe gullible Hindus seeking redemption etc. That is to say, a few of our very own Dadas put forth the same dogmatic message as given by those hashish-smoking sadhus who try to squeeze money from naive believers. Here again though, Dada N is the most aggressive as he actually threatens people about what will happen to them if they do not purchase from him or doubt his expertise in this arena. Dadaji warns them that they will suffer from disease, bankruptcy etc if they do not pay heed to his words. This is the fear tactic he employs to corral more clients and keep existing ones.

Here is our Dada Nirmohananda - so those who do not know him should understand who he is so they can recognise him - and save themselves from being trapped.

Baba's warning on religious traders

We should all keep in my Baba's below teaching and not let any Dada fall in this way.

Ananda Marga ideology states, "In most cases religions took advantage of human weaknesses, crippled the people’s rationality, and sapped their strength, thus facilitating their exploitation by the religious traders. When the vitality and strength of the masses remains unexpressed, the exploiters will be able to exploit them in the economic and other spheres of life for a long time with relative ease. In the annals of human history it can be seen in all ages that the various exploiters were the patrons and the preachers of religion." (4)

Here is Baba's pointed guideline about those type of harmful occupations.

Baba says, "No one should be a trader in religion, because in the name of religion, many people are exploited. Nor should one earn one’s livelihood by dealing with dead bodies because such people want more and more people to die, so that they may thereby increase their income…The scriptures stipulate that people should not accept food from such people, because their occupations are despicable." (5)

Namaskar,
In Him,
Ananda Ketan

Note: Baba has used the term religious traders to denote those who exploit their fellow followers by the means of religion. They infuse some sort of belief or dogma, introduce the theology of heaven and hell,  inject inferiority and fear complexes upon the people, and then sell the religious cure to the unsuspecting public. By this way those make money. Hence they are called religious traders because they profit from religious exploitation. Such religious traders are not the friends of a healthy human society. Baba has made the rule that the food of such religious traders is inedible. So if any religious traders offers to feed you then do not accept it - do not eat their food.

Omnkareshvaranandji also involved

Here is should be noted that Dada N is not the only Wt indulged in this way. Dada Omnkareshvaranandji has also entered this realm of business with stone, rudraksa, and palmistry etc. He is not as forceful and does not have the client base that Dada N has, but one day Omnkareshvaranandji hopes to grow his account.

Fate is not the guiding or controlling factor

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Fate. There are many people who are fatalists. They are worshippers of fate. A fatalist means a worshipper of fate – a worshipper of fortune or fate. They are worse than nature-worshippers. What is fate? There is nothing such as fate in this universe. So far as the philosophy is concerned there cannot be anything called fate. What is fate? Everyone has to undergo the reaction of his or her past actions, the reaction of the original action. Suppose your finger comes in contact with fire; you will feel pain, you will have to suffer but, at that moment one will say that because your finger came in contact with fire, that’s why you are suffering. But when the reaction takes place after a long gap, and when the original action is not known or has been forgotten, or when the original action took place in another past life, and you do not know what was the original action – in that case you say, it is fate, it is fate. But actually there is no fate. What you call fate is actually the reaction of our past actions. In samskrta, it is called samskára, in Latin “reactive momenta”." (6)

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Actually fate is a misnomer. Whatever you do, for that you will have to undergo a reaction; and when the original action is unknown to you, that reaction is called “fate”. Suppose your finger comes in contact with fire: while experiencing the reaction, while undergoing the pain, you know the cause, and in that case you will not say that it is fate. But when the original action is not known to you, you call it fate." (7)

End note: The motive of this writing is to highlight some of Baba’s teachings and help bring all onto the path of blessedness. None should wallow in ignorance or selfishness and nor should anyone be exploited. We are one human family and all should march together in unison.

You graciously caressed me with Your soft tender hand -
in that ambiance of the blissful...

"Bandhu ámár nikat́ ámár,ámi ki gáibo tomár gán..." (Prabhat Samgiita #525)

Purport:

O' my Bandhu [1], O' my dearmost, You are my very close and intimate One. What song should I sing to please You. You are aware about my longing. You are my Love, You are the personification of hope, saturated in sweetness. You are my heart of hearts - and my everything.  You are my nearest and intimate One.

O' Parama Purusa, since that very first day when You blessed me by bringing me in Your closeness under Your care, since then, by Your grace, I have understood that You are my savior; You are doing     everything for me. Also since that very day, with Your divine touch You have blessed me with new life. Baba by Your causeless grace my way of living has been wholly transformed from a worldly existence into life divine. Since then everything has become blissful. You are my very close and intimate One.

O' my Bandhu, on that most blessed day You graciously caressed me with Your soft tender hand. In that ambience of the blissful early morning dawn, the lotus flowers were blossoming in the pond and spreading their aroma all around. Then by Your infinite grace, You pulled me very close to You and graciously placed me on Your Lap and loved me; and by placing Your hand on top of my head, You bathed me with divine effulgence and granted me liberation. Baba, You bestowed me everything. What You have done is unparalleled. You are my very close and intimate One.

O' Parama Purusa Baba, You are love personified; You are my most dear; You are my everything...

Note for Prabhat Samgiita #525

[1] Bandhu: Here below are some of Guru’s teachings on the term bandhu.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “What is the meaning of “bandhu”? In Saḿskrta, the meaning of the word “bandhu” is “to bind”. Bandhu indicates that person or entity who cannot stand separation. Parama Puruśa or Saguńa Brahma is closely and intimately connected with this expressed world, or jagata. He is pervasively connected with every individual entity, be it a living being or a crude object. He is also linked through and through with the universe as a whole. In other words, He is indissolubly and inextricably involved (ota prota) with everything. Therefore, He is the only bandhu of this universe. The rest of your bandhus in the physical world are not your eternal friends. Though they are with you now, a day will soon come when they will go away; they will be separated from you. When you depart from this world, these friends will accompany or carry your dead body. But how far will they accompany you? They will accompany your body up to the cremation ground or the burning ghat. Having gone so far, at the most they will return to their own dwelling places. So they are not your real bandhu. There is a shloka in Saḿskrta:”

Atyágasahano bandhu sadaevánumatah suhrd;
Eka kryaḿ bhavenmitraḿ samapráńáh sakhásmrtah.

“He who loves [[so much that]] he can never sustain the grief of separation, is known as “bandhu”. In this sense, nobody can have any bandhu in this world. Only that Jagatabandhu – that Parama Puruśa –     can be your bandhu. No one else is your bandhu. Only He is your real friend.” (1)

Why capitalists are antisocial

Prout philosophy states, "In a joint family every member is provided with adequate food, clothing, education and medical treatment, and amenities, as per their individual needs, according to the financial capacity of the entire family. If, however, any member of the family appropriates more grains, clothes, books or medicines than he or she requires, will that person not be the cause of distress to other members of the family? In such circumstances his or her actions will be certainly against dharma – certainly antisocial."
"Similarly, the capitalists of this modern world are anti-dharma, or antisocial, creatures. To accumulate massive wealth, they reduce others to skin and bones gnawed by hunger and force them to die of starvation; to dazzle people with the glamour of their garments, they compel others to wear rags; and to increase their own vital strength, they suck dry the vital juice of others."

Religious bigotry in the past and present

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “You are possibly aware of the fact that there was a time when people used to bother too much about castes. And in this regard, they displayed terrible intolerance. Caste-discrimination was about to strangle humanism. In many cases this happened. People belonging to the so-called lower strata of society were not really considered human beings. In certain spheres they were treated worse than animals. It was not thought that a food item must be discarded – it is not considered so even now – when a mouse, a mole, a fly or mosquito touched it. But what to speak of it being touched by certain so called lower-caste people or their entering the kitchen or their sitting in the kitchen veranda – in certain cases, they were even barred from entering the courtyard of the house. Although it was loudly claimed that everything is the manifestation of Brahma, Sarvaḿ khalvidaḿ Brahma, in reality all kinds of casteism were concealed within the boundaries of religion.”

“In those days the boomerang of this religious bigotry did not spare even the heads of society. On the contrary, it was Brahmans who did the greatest injury to other Brahmans. The descendents of Krttivas Thakur (his nephew’s line) had to carry a social stigma because Krttivas Thakur had committed the offence of translating the Rámáyańa into Bengali. A high-caste Brahman was downgraded due to leaving his village to settle in another. Thus surnames like Banerjees became Kusháriis, Batabyals, Máscaŕaks; similarly, Chatterjees were downgraded to Káiṋjiilals, Pákŕáshiis; Bhattacharyas became Chakravartis. For a petty offence a person was expelled from his or her caste or expelled from his or her religion. People were forced to renounce their religion or undergo various kinds of persecution under pressure of circumstances. Looking more closely, it would seem that in those days the only job of one class of people was to find fault with others, to ruin people in the name of religion.” (1)

In Ananda Marga also

Note: In the past, innocent people were harassed, expelled, tortured, outcasted, terrorised, and killed by their own religion - for various reasons and under various pretenses. These days unfortunately a similar thing is going on in Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha. The various factions harass, threaten, expel, and even kill those who are not their yes-men, i.e. those who do not participate in their dirty dealings.

At the time of DMS, many in our Ananda Marga may be facing this very situation. They may not be allowed to stay in certain places because they are not in a particular group, and they may not be allowed to attend a particular dharmacakra etc. And they may even be subject to threats, attack, expulsion, and worse.

In contrast, obedient supporters of those group leaders are rewarded with higher posts regardless of their low character and sexual misconduct. Such yes-men become purodhas and high post holders etc, while qualified wts, margiis, and lfts are pushed aside, humiliated, threatened, and attacked etc. They face all sorts of problems and difficulties and are even barred from having their daughters married in Ananda Marga.

If this is not clear, read Baba’s above teaching again. How long will you keep quiet. What was going on thousands of years ago is still going on today in our Ananda Marga - unfortunately.
