AMPS: Big sit-in protest at Ranchi HQ

Here in India a lot of things are going on to fix AMPS. Margiis are fired up and there is a sit-in starting 25 May 2017 at Baba Quarters (BQ) Ranchi. Hundreds of margiis from Ranchi and the surrounding communities are assembling in front of Ranchi headquarters (BQ) for the 3-week sit-in which will continue to 10 June 2017. This protest has been organised by Ac Mantracetanananda Avt.

Here are their basic demands:

(a) The rights which Sadguru Baba has granted to margiis have been curtailed. Those should be reinstated.

(b) The exploitation of the bhukti pradhan post should be stopped and the Fake BP manual should be discarded.

(c) Various other margii rights should be granted.

(d) Characterless central purodhas governing central AMPS should be removed from the post and punished for their sexual crimes.

(e) PP should not live under Rudrananda’s house arrest. He should allowed to have phone, communication, email, broadband, so he can communicate and talk with margiis and Wts as he likes, around the globe. Now when anyone goes to see or talk with PP then Rudrananda’s stooges are always there like shadow to monitor the situation. You know Rudrananda does not allow PP to have a phone.

(f) PP should have his own security forces so he can save his life in case of an emergency.

(g) In AMPS the judiciary branch should be separate from the executive branch in order to deliver justice. Now the two are mixed. It is just like the police being the judge.

(h) AMPS should run according to Caryacarya with the coordinated cooperation of family margiis. AMPS should not be runs as a plutocracy or oligarchy of Rudrananda.

(i) Didis dept should run independently. Now they are subservient to male Wts.

To quell their protest, Dada Rudrananda has lodged many civil and criminal cases against the organisers to terrorise them. Rudrananda has also alerted the police as he hired some street thugs to shoe the demonstrators away. In turn, Dada Mantracetanananda has requested the local administration and police to provide security to the participants.

You know that when where fight of dharma vs adharma happens - then sometimes adharma wins small battles, but ultimately dharma is always victorious. It is Baba's grace. This is the eternal truth which you have seen and will see in the future as well. This teaching our Guru Shrii Shrii Anandamurti has given on various occasions. Today, right-thinking and moralist margiis are requested to support the cause of righteousness.

Two types of drunkards

Baba says, "Once a few drunkards were sauntering along the road towards Krishnanagar railway station from Gori at midnight. Some policemen appeared all of a sudden. The drunkards, after deliberating how to escape, stood in a line along the drain beside the road. The policemen came up and shook them, asking, 'Why are you loitering here so late at night?' They replied, 'Why are you disturbing us, young men? We are innocent creatures. Are you blind? Can't you see, we are lampposts! We never meddle in anyone's affairs. Can't you see the lights shining above our heads?'-- The drunkards were holding torches over their heads." (1)

Note: 'Getting drunk' is of two types. One is getting physically drunk on alcohol due to the over-consumption of liquor - in which case the mind ceases to function properly. That is what has happened in the above story. And a similar type of drunkenness happens in psychic sphere. Abhiman is that type of psychic disease where one suffers from extreme vanity, i.e. where one is drunk on their own ego. This second type of drunkenness - i.e. psychic drunkenness - results in the same type of problem as in the above story: Where such drunkards lose their conscience or thinking capacity. That is why in our AM scripture, vanity (abhiman) is equated with sura'pa'n (drinking liquor).

Baba's teaching is very meaningful for everyone. We see that those suffering from vanity behave just like one drunkard. This is all due to their extreme superiority complex. Such types of people have created innumerable problems in this world. One should be careful about this in their individual and collective life.

Altogether such a state of mind is similar to drinking wine. That is why in this below shloka the term sura'pa'n (drinking liquor) has been used and Baba explains that vanity is like sura'pa'n.

"Abhima'nam' sura'pa'nam'..."

Ananda Marga ideology says, "Abhima'na has been compared with drinking: anyone who indulges in it loses his discriminating judgment, just as a drunkard does. A human is different from an animal only because he possesses viveka [faculty of discrimination] and buddhi [intellect]. And just as a drunkard gradually loses these priceless faculties, an abhima'nii also becomes bereft of them." (2)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “The most dangerous complex in the spiritual sphere is the superiority complex. It occurs when one feels oneself to be greater than others in knowledge, intellect, wisdom, and so on, and eventually leads to one’s downfall.” (1)

There are various types of psychic diseases. Some psychic diseases are hidden and some are very, very obvious. The irony is that some psychic diseases are so common that naive people start believing that this is a normal phenomenon. For example, those suffering from a superiority complex cannot understand that they are diseased. In this way their disease grows and grows and they harm themselves in all sorts of ways.

You must have seen puffed rice or anything puffed. The inside is hollow. Those suffering from a superiority complex lose the quality and become weak and in their practical life they do all kinds of blunders and foolishness. Superiority complex is the worst in the sphere of spirituality. If someone thinks that they are great then that disease reflects in their sadhana also. They cannot concentrate. That is what Baba explains in the above paragraph. And they cannot surrender to Parama Purusa because they think that they are great. Often they think about their own greatness and their mind becomes like a tiny mustard seed. That is an unfortunate state.

Belittling others using “tum”

The question is how can you easily recognise such people. Here is the answer which Baba has given in 01 Jan 1988 discourse in Ananda Nagar. True Ananda Margiis pay respect to others and view them as a manifestation of Parama Purusa. But those suffering from the psychic disease of superiority complex wait for others to do namaskar to them. Or they may be so frustrated that they will call others in a derogatory way to belittle them by using “Tum.”  Hearing this, you can understand that the next fellow is diseased and if you dig down a little deeper you may find that he or she suffers from the nasty vanity of education, post, or servant of the ultra-rich, etc.

And you know these are psychic diseases. When nothing remains forever in this universe, then only idiots boast about their flimsy, so-called worldly gains. These types of psychically diseased people you will often find here in Mumbai, the financial hub of India. When we come across such people we should politely convey the truth that in this ephemeral world you are not going to stay forever and nothing is yours. So behave with others with amity and friendship.

Big ferocious animals and tyrant kings are born in this world and they got destroyed and you will not find any trace of them. Whatever you have Parama Purusa can take within one second. Nothing is yours. One day you have come here and one day you will go. And you do not know when you will go. In that case, where is there scope for vanity. You cannot even say that after 5 minutes you will exist. Due to this it is rightly said that only idiots suffer from a superiority complex.

Tum: This Hindi term is used to belittle others in formal relations.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Inferiority and superiority complexes...arise due to a defective social order. Some people have to live like slaves in the society and thus suffer from a strong inferiority complex – their heads remain forever bowed – while others inherit vast wealth as well as family pride from their ancestors and keep their heads held so high that at times it appears as if it will fall backwards [nose to the sky]. These complexes are due to a defective social order. The complex is in the crude physical world and in the socio-economic strata, not in the stratum of spirituality.” (2)


They will never be able to surrender

Ananda Marga ideology states, “On the spiritual path, the most essential thing is to withdraw the mind from all kinds of objects, concentrate it on one point, and finally surrender it to Parama Puruśa. But those suffering from a superiority complex, and thus an over-inflated ego, find it impossible to withdraw the mind from its objects and, to their frustration, find that the mind easily slips away from its point of concentration. They will never be able to surrender such a mind to Parama Puruśa.” (3)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “These people fail to realize that the more the ego is inflated, the more the mind loses its weight, just as the more rice is puffed, the lighter it becomes – inside is nothing but air. To prevent this from happening the following advice has been given: “Trńádapi suniicena.” Always remember that you should never give any indulgence to any superiority complex under any circumstances. That would be most harmful; it would be the greatest foolishness on your part.” (4)

Baba's guideline is that while writing in our magazine or giving lectures etc, Proutists will not talk only about the defects and sins of the society. But after shedding light on the problems, then they must give the solution also. Otherwise it is very detrimental for the well-being of all.

In the following quote, Baba condemns the communist approach where in their writings, speeches, modus operandi etc they highlight only the sins of society. Baba compares such an approach to that of a fly. Flies always live where there is something rotten, or filthy, or in a dirty wound. Flies will thrive in such an atmosphere.

Prout philosophy says, “Those who are leftists in the world of art are even more dangerous. The defect of the rightists is their inaction and that of the leftists is their hyperactivity, which is based on selfishness. It seems as though they are deliberately seeking out the dark and dirty aspects of life and, like flies, growing fat on the secretions of society’s festering sores. It must be remembered that flies do not heal sores, rather they exacerbate them, because it is the pus of these sores that provides them with their vital juice. So the filthy aspects of society are the only capital on which these artists and sáhityikas subsist”. (1)

But unfortunately, Hindi Prout (HP) Patna falls in this same category as the flies. In the article “Media dvárá janamánas ká nimantrańa”, they have highlighted the following societal problems:

(1) Various deadly disputes between India and Pakistan, but did not give one word about Prout's solutions.
(2) Upheaval in Kashmir, but did not give one word about Prout's solutions.
(3) Chaos in the Baluchistan province of Pakistan, but did not give one word about Prout's solutions.
(4) In Yuri at the Pakistan border, Pakistani militants attacked and killed nineteen Indian soldiers, followed by counter attack by India, with ensuing chaos in that region, but did not give one word about Prout's solutions.
(5) Quarrel between India’s ruling party and the opposition over the matter of surgical operations in Pakistan by the Indian military, but did not give one word about Prout's solutions.
(6) Hyperbole of Indian and Pakistani Media on the matter of surgical operations and resultant speculation of imminent threat of war, but did not give one word about Prout's solutions.
(7) Communist so-called intellectual Noam Chomsky is praised up to the sky and his bogus theory highlighted, but did not give one word about Prout's solutions.

HP propagates rotten ideas of communism 

This is an example of how Hindi Prout (HP) runs its show. They are like flies on rotten wounds. They have highlighted all kinds of problems and praised the grandiose theory of communism. They did not give any solution on the part of Prout. All this is unfortunate and shameful. These people i.e. those who are running Hindi Prout (HP), are befooling Margis that they are propagating Baba's ideas. But the truth is that they are propagating outdated and rotten ideas of communism.

This below scan is the proof. Throughout this entire page, Hindi Prout (HP) has highlighted the filth of society and praised communist propagandists, and did not give one word of Prout solutions.

By reading this page, one can clearly see that our Hindi Prout editors are not providing any solution to the problems they highlight. They did not follow the Prout system; rather, they followed the communistic order. Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Human beings will have to practise tolerance. But this spirit of tolerance must be developed only in individual life; in collective life it must not be expressed. If a country illegally grabs even one inch of your land you must take one mile of the aggressor’s land; no spirit of tolerance in this regard is permissible. If you show your tolerance then they will take one inch today and one mile tomorrow. A festival without kids and the elderly is dry

   Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Every human being likes utsava [festival]. It is the desire of all that they will rejoice unitedly. In Europe Puritanism failed in the end, only because the Puritans failed to care for the desires of the general public. They preached their theory only to a handful of devotees of knowledge.”
   “Ananda Marga is for the general public. So, considering the necessity of the general mass, proper importance has to be given to the utsava in social life. Excitement in a utsava is the greatest in the children, in the tender aged boys, in the youths and last of all in grown ups. In the programmes of a utsava, therefore, you shall think for the children first. Their sweet stammering noises ensure the success of the utsava. But whatever arrangements you may make for the children, the youngsters, youths, or for the grown-ups, make that there is no dearth of discipline even to the minutest extent anywhere. Let there be complete harmony. ” (1)

Note: This letter is only for those who have reverence for Sadguru Baba and try to learn and follow His Ananda Marga ideology.

Ananda Marga Philosophy says,  “Householders have to care for two families whereas the renunciates have to care for only one. The householders’ two families are their own small family consisting of father, mother, brothers, sisters, husband or wife, sons, daughters, etc. and the larger human family, that is, the entire universe. The householders will have to maintain a balance between both these families.” (1)

Ananda Marga Philosophy says,  “The householders will have to look after the larger family as well, but for that they may take the assistance of the sannyasins. Sannyasins do not have a small family of their own – their family is the entire universe. In order to maintain that family they, in turn, may take the help of the householders.” (2)

Wts (proper, bad, worst)

Note: True Wts strictly follow all Guru’s teachings - all Wt conduct rules. That means that when they become a WT, they are to cut all ties and relations with their laokik parents / families. They keep zero connection with them: No phone calls, no talking, and no correspondence - period. This is the way that true Wts conduct themselves - they are A-grade. Nowadays, in our AMPS, such WT workers are in the extreme minority. On estimation, we can say that they comprise less than 24%, conservatively speaking, as the percentage is probably even less than that. That is the unfortunate state of affairs.

2nd grade WTs

B-grade WT workers keep connection with their laokik parents - writing and talking on a regular basis, or less frequently. They are pseudo-Wts as they wholly contravene Guru’s guideline by keeping in contact with their laokik family etc. However, although they communicate with their laokik parents - and are mentally and emotionally attached with them - which is against the code of conduct, at least they are not giving organisational money to their parents. They are 2nd grade WT workers.

Within this B-grade level of Wts who are in attached with their parents, there are two subdivisions. The first thinks that it is wrong and unethical to give money to their laokik families, and that is why they refrain from doing so. They are comparatively better than this next group. Because this next group wishes or would divert organisational money to their parents if their laokik parents needed money. But the fact is that their laokik parents have sufficient financial resources, thus there is no need to give them money. But should the time come that their families needed money, then these Wts would readily give them organisational money etc. These Wts are worse, and all credit goes to the parents for not needing or accepting money because the tendency of such WT workers is to steal money from the organisation for them.

Some are coloured jackals

Lastly, we come to C-grade Wts: They are in attached with their laokik families and funnel huge financial resources to them. We cannot call them as sannyasis - they are coloured jackals. Many of them are holding high posts and wearing avadhuta dress, but they keep attached with their parents, and steal money rampantly from the organisation in order to support their laokik families. They embezzle and co-opt huge funds for their laokik parents and construct large mansions for them. And sometimes those Wts go and stay there as well - and even plan on inheriting that house in the future.

Verily, such degraded Wts do so many favours for their laokik families. They  pay bribes to officials to get jobs for their laokik family members; they  purchase luxury homes for them; and they visit and stay with them as well. Some of these Wts leave their Wt-ship, but then they can no longer reap the benefits. So they are foolish. In contrast, those who are “smart” and cunning remain. They never leave and just treat AMPS as a milching / milking cow - constantly stealing and diverting monies from the organisation. They  keep huge bank balances, walk around in avadhuta dress, have a big post, but internally they are completely black and live deceptive lives - fully engaged in laokik family life, perpetually stealing money from the organisation. And they may keep a girlfriend or boyfriend.

But do not be surprised. Such C-grade, characterless Wts are rampant - they are everywhere. Certainly you have seen them many times and you will continue to see them again and again. But you may not recognise this fact. However, if you dig a bit deeper you will come to know about their antics. And you will understand that what I am expressing here is 100% correct.

This type of Wt is not limited to a particular group or faction like Kolkata, Ranchi, EC, etc. All factions are involved in this - across the board. Your duty is to find out where their laokik families live and then go and visit or send someone to spy on them and then the truth will be revealed.

Reminiscing about laokik / worldly life is anti-dharmic and against the Wt conduct rules. Because at that time their name and personality were different and they have since gotten a new name and their father, mother, everything has become Guru Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji. Thus if they reminisce in their writings, talks, and discussions about their ex life then it means they are outrightly disobeying Guru’s spiritual commandments. That should always be condemned.

Conclusion

Ananda Marga is akin to a chariot which has two wheels. One wheel is the wt, and other wheel is the family person. The wt has one family, and that is the entire world. The Margii has two families: their unit family, and the entire world. In this critical juncture when our AMPS is not functioning properly, the duty of family Margiis is increased. It is the duty of Margiis to know and have a chart of wt conduct rules. And to constantly watch whether wts are following Guru’s conduct rules. If they are not following, then according to Caryacarya one must bring them onto the right path. In this way, the whole society will be benefitted, by Baba’s grace.

Note 1: One sub-standard Wt
One sub-standard Wt recently wrote like this in their blog. Here substandard means not following Guru’s guideline which they have taken the vow to follow. And based on that vow they have been granted the sannyasi dress whereby margiis of the whole universe respect them for their dedication and following Guru’s commandment. But this Wt betrays Guru and fellow Ananda Margiis as well by not adhering to the acarya, Wt, avadhutika / avadhuta rules. Here purposely the name has not been mentioned.
This is a moderate, anecdotal example of contravention of WT rules. There are many severe and extreme cases which are not enlisted here. Directly below is what this Wt wrote:
I now treasure the countless experiences with my father, who took me nearly every weekend, sometimes alone and sometimes with my siblings, on adventures in nature. Sometimes we rode our with bicycles through cranberry bogs, sometimes we drifted silently in a boat through a cypress filled swamp, sometimes learning to recognize deer tracks in the forest. We rarely spoke during those times, as my father was

Purport:

O' Parama Purusa, when I ask myself why I have fallen in love with You - and why I cry for Your proximity and smile in joy when I get You - and when I pose all these questions to my mind, then I do not get any answer. Just this loving feeling for You is beyond my capacity to explain. It is Your liila.

O' Parama Purusa, I love You - even then You do not look towards me. And when composing Your love songs then You do not use those songs to communicate with me. Why I love You, I do not know - neither You look towards me nor do You share the feeling of Your heart through the medium of Your songs. Indeed You do not do anything that touches the inner feeling of my heart. I am unable to make the bouquet of flowers blossom that resides in the inner core of my heart. It is so painful.

In the pre-winter evening I think about You; in the moonlit night of the spring season I see Your image. In that way secretly and silently I go on painting Your glory. And at the same time I listen to Your flute in my heart.

O' Parama Purusa why I love You I do not know. And when I ask myself why I have fallen in love with You, I cannot find any reason or logic. Just by Your grace it has happened - my heart is longing for You & and I laugh and cry for You. Baba Your liila unfathomable...

Note: It is the common human experience that when anyone comes across anything beautiful, then they like to share that with those whom they love. That is why in those attractive seasons pre-winter and spring, when the weather is perfect, then automatically the bhakta wishes that such beauty could be shared with their beloved.

আমার ঝণ্ডা হাতে নিয়ে, আমার পিছনে-পিছনে ছুটৰে

“আর তৃতীয় জিনিসটা হচ্ছে কি ? না, সেবা | মনকে নির্মল করতে গেল, নিস্বার্থ ভাবে, সেবা করতেই হৰে | যারা মনে করেন যে---“মানুষের বিপদে, মানুষকে সেবা করৰ না | আরও ৰেশী  বিপদের মুখে তাকে ঠেলে দেৰ | বিপদের মধ্যে ঠেলে দিলে, সে মরিয়া হয়ে, আমার ঝণ্ডা হাতে নিয়ে, আমার পিছনে-পিছনে ছুটৰে |” তারা মানুষের শত্রু | কারণ ? তাদের আচরণ সেবা ধর্ম বিরোধী | মানুষকে কেন মরিয়া করে তুলৰ ? মানুষকে কেন বিপদে ফেলে তাকে মরিয়া করে তুলৰ, আমার ঝণ্ডা বহন করৰে জন্য ? কিছুতেই এটা করৰ না | তার সামান্যতম দুঃখ দেখলেও, ওটাকে সেবা করে, তার দুঃখ দূর অরে দৰ | এইটাই মানবধর্ম সম্মত জিনিস |” (1)

Sad Proof: Delhi Prout preaches Marxism

A growing trend in Delhi Prout is to propagate communism and portray it as a saviour from the demon of capitalism. Take for instance the article “How Capitalism Fosters Bullying” published on page 33 of Prout English magazine’s December 2016 issue. The article has been copied from a communist website verbatim and has no Proutist analysis. Yet, the article appears in the Prout magazine. One can see in the highlighted portion of the below image, how the article is praising Marx and his philosophy.

Both capitalism and communism are detrimental

A vast majority of people do not read Bábá’s books. They rely only on books written by Dádás. It is very important to read Bábá’s books as well as incorporate His teachings in one’s own life to internalize His philosophy. Those who do not internalize His philosophy are but “so-called Proutists.” Such so-called Proutists, due to their superficial understanding of Prout, make many ideological mistakes. According to one such, widely mistaken understanding of ideology people think that as Prout is against capitalism the ones who oppose capitalism are the friends of Proutists. By that flawed logic, the communists are also friends of Proutists as communists are strong opponents of capitalists. However, Bábá in numerous places has pointed out that both capitalism and communism are materialistic philosophies and turn humans into animals. Thus, the understanding that communists, being enemies of capitalists, are friends of Prout, is flawed. According to AM ideology, both capitalism and communism are detrimental to human progress and the only way to goad humanity to its goal of Parama Puruśa is Prout.

Bábá says, “Both capitalism and communism have failed to provide the proper ideological inspiration and desideratum to human beings. In the interests of the welfare of humanity, these systems should be replaced. PROUT is against the exploitation by capitalism and the false dogma of communism as both are detrimental to the all-round progress of human beings. You have to fight against all sorts of corruption, meanness and so-called secularism if Parama Puruśa is the goal. Only then will you be able to maintain adjustment with this objective world.” (1)

Harms of propagating communism in the garb of Prout

The editors of Delhi Prout magazine are publishing copied articles from communist aligned websites and thereby are offering the communist ideal to the readers in the garb of Prout.  This is very harmful as instead of educating the masses to solve the burning socio-political issues using the teachings of Prout, the Prout magazine is misleading the masses with the outdated communist teachings. The reality is that the editors of Prout themselves are confused that Prout is the same as communism. No wonder, therefore, that the editors are misleading the readers.

Missing a great opportunity

Bábá always emphasizes the need for magazines and periodicals to propagate the teachings of AM. Philosophy for general people is often a dry subject. However, when philosophy is applied to day-to-day life events then it begins to make sense. Bábá has provided this opportunity to Márgiis of making Prout teachings available to the masses. He wants that Márgiis should comment on the burning socio-political issues in the light of Prout and thereby make people aware of His teachings. However, the editors of Prout who are entrusted with this work are not utilizing this opportunity.

Bábá gets His work done regardless. Back in the 1950’s Bábá spoke about the need for equal rights for women in India. Many non-márgii organizations have contributed and have made progress in equal rights for women. Likewise, Bábá’s work of bringing forth ecological balance has been executed by non-márgiis. If we do not grab the opportunity someone else will. As disciples of Sadguru Bábá we must live up to His teachings and do His work. If the Prout magazine editors do not do their work properly, they will miss the opportunity and someone else will do it.

Conclusion

Delhi Prout is entrusted with propagating the ideals of the Progressive Utilization Theory (PROUT) by means of publishing news and views on the happenings in the world in light of PROUT. It is however very sad that instead of propagating the ideals of PROUT all that Delhi Prout magazine is involved in is the copying of articles verbatim from various websites, often the communist-oriented ones. The mistaken thinking of our Delhi Prout editors is that as communism opposes capitalism, Prout is the same as communism. This, however, is  completely wrong. Both communism and capitalism are materialistic philosophies and are detrimental to society. Prout, on the other hand, is based on spirituality and is the only way to progress in the collective sphere. Bábá always emphasizes the use of print media to propagate AM ideals. PROUT is the socio-economic part of Bábá’s spiritual philosophy and Bábá has provided us the opportunity to make the masses aware of Prout. If we do not do this great and exalted work ourselves, Bábá will give this work to someone else.
