Degeneration of Angika leader

Following a sentient diet is a key tenet for leading a spiritual life. As Ananda Margiis, we all know that onion and garlic are támasik (extremely bad for the mind etc).

Now see below what Chandranarayana ji is doing. As many may know, Chandranarayana ji is the longtime leader of Angika samaj, and he was regularly a key person in samaj meetings in front of Sadguru Baba. Indeed, years ago when he became a margii and Prout activist. Unfortunately, since those days he has dropped a few notches, gotten involved in caste politics etc and become the leader of the domestic animal herd caste, among other things.

To the point at hand: Just recently, he hosted a celebration and was serving onion and garlic and other static foods to his friends, colleagues, and guests etc. The whole atmosphere was filled with the smell of static foods whereby margiis could not tolerate the odor and had to leave.

Going against Sixteen Points is completely unbecoming of a Prout leader. Our leaders must be disciplined in all points of conduct etc. Best is for dedicated Prout leaders to celebrate with sentient food, otherwise they are no different from those in the general society who celebrate with támasik items like meat and wine.

This is a clear-cut case how even a good person will slowly degenerate if they are not strict in Sixteen Points.

Sadguru Baba is very strict that we should never indulge in idol worship of any sort.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, “Those who in the name of the beginningless, endless, formless Brahma worship idols, are indulging in deliberate slander. You must not give indulgence to this type of Mahapápa (great sin).” (1)

It is so unfortunate that a few of our avadhutas lit the lamps of the idol of the mythological goddess Saraswati at a college. In the below photo, the mythological Hindu goddess Saraswati is on the puja table and the two avadhutas are lighting the lamp in honour of Saraswati. In addition, there are flowers on the puja table to glorify Saraswati. At present, the Wts have lit half the lamps and when they complete this process, then both Wts will do pranam to the Saraswati idol, as per the dogmatic Hindu custom. Such is the ritualistic form of worship that has engulfed these two avadhutas. It is a sad sight to see.

 

As avadhutas, they should strictly adhere to the code of bhagavad dharma and not fall prey to various religious dogmas like idol worship. If you see these two Wts on the street, kindly alert them about this.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “An idol is nothing but the imaginative creation of the human mind, with a finite beginning and end. On the other hand Brahma is beginningless and endless. This we can deduce through reason. This idol, this finite creation of the human imagination cannot, therefore, be the cause of emancipation of the living entities. Moreover, the external idols of clay, stone and wood are composed of the five fundamental factors. Ideation on such crude objects cannot lead human beings towards Non-qualified Consciousness; rather it will lead them towards degeneration.” (2)
