Mahaprayan of Bodyguard

Namaskar,
It is with much sadness that I share with you the mahaprayan (death) of Shrii Vishnudev ji who served as Baba's bodyguard for many years. Unfortunately, with a massive heart attack, Vishnudevji underwent his mahaprayan.

Shrii Vishnudevji used to remain in Tiljala or Ananda Nagar and accompany Baba wherever He held DMC. All know that his whole life Vishnudevji was working in VSS and he was a fixture at every VSS camp where he led and trained all attendees. Surely he had many great qualities.

As he was human, he had some lesser qualities as well but this is not the time to raise those points. So with his mahaprayan AMPS has lost one senior dedicated margii.

Longtime margiis have seen Vishnudevji standing guard countless times. And in between he passed his days shining and massaging his medals in order to show that he was not an ordinary man like Tom, Dick, or Harry. Rather he was a veteran. In addition, Shrii Vishnudevji never wanted to become old and that is why up to his death he was colouring his hair and mustache. But ultimately, nobody can escape death so with his black hair his mahaprayan happened.

May we all take solace in the fact that respected Shrii Vishnudevji was a devotee of Sadguru Baba. Certainly he will attain mukti or moksa, accordingly. Baba will lovingly bestow His grace and he will remain under His Supreme shelter.

at the lotus feet of Baba,
Ramdev

Note 1: "Mahaprayan" means death - confirm for yourself from the Samsad Bengali-English Dictionary

Mahaprayan (Death): Many are aware that mahaprayan (death) is the common term used in India and especially in Bengal to describe the death of any human being, even ordinary people. In that way, the obituary columns of the newspapers of Bengal regularly cite the mahaprayan (death) of various persons of society who died or passed away.

Some may get confused and wrongly think that the word 'mahaprayan' (death) is one extraordinarily devotional term to be used in association with Parama Purusa. But that is not at all the case. Rather to do so is only to undermine the eternal presence of Parama Purusa. That is why no devotees ever use the word 'mahaprayan' in reference to Lord Shiva or Lord Krsna. Because Lord Shiva and Lord Krsna exist eternally. Then there is no question of Their mahaprayan (death).

Baba is Parama Purusa so He is eternal and there is no question of His mahaprayan.

Here it should be known that the convention of an annual death day ceremony (i.e. shraddhainjali or mahaprayan) is a foundation of the Islamic tradition. Muslims are well known for this, and their approach of an annual death day ceremony was adopted by those in Tiljala. So no one should think that mahaprayan is some type of sacred event. It is done on the death day anniversary of Muslims.

And for those who need still more technical proof then all this can be clarified quite readily by referencing the dictionary. Specifically in the Samsad Bengali-English dictionary on page 742. Checking there it will be confirmed that the word 'mahaprayan' means death. Which is why it used to refer to the passing away of even common citizens.

Note 2: Mahaprayan is only for humans
Parama Purusa is eternal

Here it should be qualified that there is both real mahaprayan and fake mahaprayan. Real mahaprayan marks the death of any ordinary human being. This is the proper use of the term: To note a person's departure from this earth. That is the meaning of the mahaprayan term and that is the standard way the term is used in Indian languages.

Then there is the fake, or so-called, or dogmatic mahaprayan. That is when certain vested interests try to apply the mahaprayan term to Parama Purusa Himself. This is grossly inappropriate because when Parama Purusa Baba is that Divine Entity who is beginningless and endless and resides always in our heart, then it is entirely wrong to proclaim that He is gone.

That is why rational margiis are protesting; because the Oct 21st program is so-called mahaprayan. So-called means that something is fake. Parama Purusa is eternal, thus for some vested interests to declare "mahaprayan of Parama Purusa" is nothing but so-called mahaprayan.

Mahaprayan only really happens in the case of human beings, not Parama Purusa.

Note 3: Story: - sitting on Baba's lap means died?
(contributed by one margii)

Recently after dharmacakra, a senior margii was recounting his experiences of having dharma samiiksa with Baba.

He said, "After being punished by Baba, then He called me close and placed me on His lap - I remained there for some time soaking up His love - and He blessed me."

We all enjoyed hearing about his personal account with Baba during dharma samiiksa. When he finished telling his story, there was a call for questions. Various people posed their queries.

"How did Baba bring you back to life?"

Towards the end, one new margii raised his hand and asked, "How did Baba bring you back to life?"

Everyone stared at the new margii in amazement. There was a look of astonishment all around - people were really shocked to hear him say this.

The new sadhaka sensed that something was awry.

He said very matter-of-factly, "I thought that sitting on Baba's Lap means that he (the margii) died - that is why I asked that question."

This was quite eye-opening for those of us in the room: Through our language and expression we had unknowingly taught someone to think that being on Baba's lap is the equivalent of death. Because it seems that nowadays people only use the phrase "Baba's lap" when a person has died, such as "Let him rest peacefully in Baba's lap", as if in order to sit on Baba’s lap one has to die. But that is false. Sincere sadhakas regularly sit on Baba’s lap in their meditation. It is His grace. It is just like a child need not die in order to sit on hi father’s lap.

Sitting on Baba's lap
must not only refer to death

At that moment I thought that everyone, new and old, should be clear about the real and devotional meaning of this phrase, "being on Baba's lap." It should not become stigmatized such that it only means death. Because in its true sense, the phrase "being on Baba's lap" really does carry a highly devotional and sweet feeling.

It is just like how a small child sits on its parent's lap. In a similar way, a spiritual child (human being) sits on the lap of Parama Purusa. By Baba's grace this can happen anytime in one's sadhana, especially in dhyana. Such a phrase then should not become  stigmatized because too many people only use it at the time of death.

We should be careful that we do not relegate "Baba's lap" only to the point of death.

The connotation of death must not become synonymous with "being on Baba's lap." Because the phrase - "being on Baba's lap" - is a devotional experience that can happen today itself in sadhana, and especially in dhyana. The phrase "being on Baba's lap" should not lose this quality and only mean death. It should not meet the same dark fate as happened with the term harijan. Nowadays, for the occasion of death / mahaprayan, 99.9% of the time people use the phrase "on Baba's lap", and for devotional stories the phrase "on Baba's lap" is used 0.01% of the time. That is why - for devotional purposes - this phrase is already included on the endangered species list.

Must not meet same fate as "harijan"

As we all know, these days in India nobody uses the term harijan to mean "a devotee". Whereas 70 years ago it was used in that way. The term harijan did mean bhakta. But ever since the time of Gandhi when he glued the harijan term to the lowest so-called caste, i.e so-called untouchables, nobody uses the the harijan to mean devotee. Never. Because the term harijan has been stigmatized to mean "untouchable". Nobody uses it to mean "devotee", but that is the original and true meaning of the word.

The phrase, "sitting on Baba's lap", should not meet a similar fate. It should not lose its devotional quality and just refer to one's death. That will be very negative.

Baba would bless devotees and place them on His lap

There are thousands of recorded stories by sadhakas where they use the phrase, "on Baba's lap", when describing their experiences of being with Baba: He used to bless them and bring them on His lap.     People should understand the deeply devotional value of this expression, and not just think that Baba's lap means death, i.e. that you can only sit on His lap at the time of death. Still today there are thousands of margiis walking this earth who sat in Baba's lap. And not only that, there are countless more sadhakas who were blessed by Baba in dreams and dhyana wherein they sat in His lap. And still today this deeply devotional experience is attainable by sadhakas, by His grace.

There are so many ways an aspirant can reach unto Baba's lap including in sadhana and especially during dhyana. That is the main idea that should be preserved. Sadhana is a devotional practice and one can sit on Baba's lap in dhyana. We should make it cent-per-cent clear to one and all that the phrase, "sitting on Baba's lap", does not mean death.

Dogma:
now "on Baba's lap" only used for death

Here are quoted lines from recently posted emails on various forums, wherein the writer uses the phrase - "in Baba's lap" - with the occasion of death:

- "May he rest in HIS loving lap of eternity."

- "We are sure that Baba has taken him in His loving lap."

- "May his soul rest in Baba's lap forever."

- "Let her rest peacefully in Baba's Lap - which she always desired."

- "now he is in beloved Baba's lap"

- "May his soul get peaceful place in His lap"

- "He is now in BÁBÁ'S loving lap"

- "May Baba bless him with a seat in His lap."

- "May BABA accept him in HIS divine lap!"

- "May Baba take him in his eternal loving lap."

- "Please keep him on Your lap forever."

All of the above lines are commonly written in eulogizing the deceased. Of course, it is fine to write like that. Here the point is that this same phrase "in Baba's lap" should also be used when describing one's devotional practices and experiences. But these days mostly it is used in a eulogy and rarely used to recount one's devotional experiences - unfortunately. By this way, the phrase "in Baba's lap" is being misused and step by step the real meaning is being forgotten as now people more commonly use the phrase to eulogize those who have died, and much less so to express their devotional feeling. Unfortunately, the meaning and inner spirit of the phrase is getting lost.

Here again is the central idea:

The connotation of death must not become synonymous with "being on Baba's lap." Mahaprayan (death) of Dadaji

Namaskar,
Very sad to share the news that Ac. Gunatiitananda Avadhuta's mahaprayan (death) occurred on 18 May 2015 at Kharipara Master Unit (Midnapur) at 9.15 pm. He was 76-years-old and was suffering from dysentery. At the time he was en route to the hospital for treatment.

Dadaji was a well-known homeopath and had been serving East Midnapur's pashkura belt for the last 15 years. He treated thousands of patients. Ac. Gunatiitananda Dada was also posted at Ananda Nagar hospital for few years from 1993 to 1997.

Dadaji’s mahaprayan stands as a great loss to our AMPS and the society-at-large. One of his immense talents and interests was medical treatment and whenever he had free time he would sit in his dispensary and see patients - never seeking payment. Here it should be known that his dispensary was a small homeopathic medicine box consisting of a few dozen medicines. Wherever he was, he would open his box and that was his dispensary.

So Dadaji’s great contributions and service in the field of homeopathy will be missed. Amongst all our Wts, he was uniquely committed to seeing patients and distributing free medicines. Wherever any program was happening, he would be there treating people - with neo-humanistic feeling. He never differentiated who was who - he treated all.

May we all take solace in the fact that respected Dadaji was a devotee of Sadguru Baba. Certainly he will attain mukti or moksa, accordingly. Baba will lovingly bestow His grace and he will remain under His Supreme shelter.

Re: See Rudrananda Demon H. of Ananda Marga

It is really a shame to violate BABA's given code of conduct. Some Ananda Margis (pseudo) have tried to exhibit Rudranandaji in BABA's place.

Group fight: lack of proper leadership

Namaskar,
The bifurcation in our Ananda Marga is goaded by geo and linguistic sentiment.

The Bengalis believed and still choose to believe that they are chosen by Baba to lead AMPS -

Things surfaced after 1990 after Baba left His physical body. They declared Mahaprayan- death of Baba and death of our organisation. Of course to preserve the status quo, those who raised questions were vilified or expelled. The abuse of power surfaced - and the resistance was also not there.

My personal take is that Ananda Marga lacked and is still lacking "wise" leadership. By wise I mean a group of visionaries who could foresee the challenges and take wise ideological and decisive measures. The totally unwise Dada Shraddhananda was declared PP. Seniority was his only qualification......... Was there an alternative ?  I am not sure.........

The geo-linguistic sentiments expressed even more strongly -  leading to the bifurcation and trifurcation of AMPS. The hatred and mistrust could not and still cannot be stemmed- the Bengali and Hindi agenda continues unabated.

The credibility and moral high ground of our Ananda Marga has been seriously compromised. It is like a drunken father asking his son not to consume alcohol. Should I say more??

In Him,
Lalloo

Today the entire world is exuberant with joy, and

filled with rhythmic dances and enchanting melodies

"Nácera tále chande gáne, ucchal holo áji dhará, háráno diner háráno sure, sabái holo mátoyárá,..." ( PS 401)

Purport:

Parama Purusa Baba has come. Today the entire world is exuberant with joy - filled with rhythmic dances and enchanting melodies. Those sweet tunes and melodies of by-gone days have returned and that music is divinely intoxicating for all.

O' bhaktas, put collyrium in your eyes, thread garlands for Him, and fill your baskets with fragrance of flowers for Him. Colour everyone with the hues of your heart; fill them with aroma of marigolds, and make your surroundings aromatic for His auspicious reception.

Today, in the festival of lights, all hearts accepted Him as their own, their most loving One. Attaining the Citcore [1] , the pollen of mind is dancing in bliss. With the arrival of Parama Purusa everything is blissful. Baba has graciously come...

Note for Prabhat Samgiita #401:

[1] Citta-cor / Chit-chor / Citcor: In His role as 'Citcor', Parama Purusa is the Thief or Stealer of the devotee's mind. How does He steal the mind? He captivates their mind and attracts the bhakta by His exquisite beauty and charm - whereby the sadhaka cannot think of anything or anyone else. The sadhaka has lost control of his own mind: It incessantly and unknowingly rushes towards Parama Purusa. The One who makes this happen is Citcor - the Stealer of the mind.

And to some degree this happens in the mundane realm as well, though it is degenerating and not long-lasting. There are numerous worldly examples where a person's mind is stolen. For instance, if they lost money, if they are infatuated with mundane attraction, if they are anxious about something - in all such cases when the person's mind runs again and again in that direction. So to some degree their mind has been stolen. The person's mind is no longer their own - they do not have control over it. Over and over, their mind is thinking of something - yet that something is not eternal but rather short-lived. So the effect is degenerating. Because their I-feeling has become attached to something mundane. In the real sense that is not citcor, but rather a reflection of a reflection of the stage of citcor.

The Entity that causes someone to lose control of their mind is Citcor - the stealer of the mind. And this is a deeply spiritual state. In the devotional sphere, only Parama Purusa is Citcor. The sadhaka thinks of Him, unknowingly. Always the mind is goaded in that direction. Even if the bhakta intentionally tries not to think in this way, still his mind becomes ensconced in the thought of the Supreme, i.e. Parama Purusa. This is an elevating experience and has a wholly beneficial result.

Ultimately, when this condition climaxes, in that culminating state the unit mind - the jiiva'tma - becomes one with Supreme Consciousness.

Lastly, another name of Citcor is Makhan Cor (Butter Thief).

A number of dogmatic worshipers think that Lord Krsna is a butter-thief and they portray Lord Krsna as a small child who has stolen butter whereby the child Krsna is eating a lot of saturated fat. The sages tried to teach the common people with analogies but due to a very low standard the people took it in a literal way until finally it became an entrenched dogma. They do not like to hear the real truth of the matter. Even new people believe this.

Sadguru Baba says in avadhuta conduct rules, “One should always use hard bedding.” (1)

Thus Baba has given an explicit rule that an avadhuta should never sleep on a soft bed with mattresses etc.

Yet look at what one of our avadhutas is doing - he is sleeping in a soft, luxurious bed with box springs and cushy mattresses. A true avadhuta would never do like this - rather he would strictly abide by Guru’s guideline and sleep on the floor.

See below this Dada A. Avadhuta is sleeping on soft bed and he has propagated this photo on his Facebook page. This action is doubly bad. In order to understand please go on reading.

Who does what: Good, bad, and evil

So this Dada is not a good Wt; nor is he a bad Wt; he is an extraordinarily evil Wt. By way of this below analogy you will get the point.

If a good person is swimming in a swimming pool and they get the urge to urinate then he will exit the pool and head to the lavatory / restroom to relieve himself. If a bad person enters into the swimming pool and suddenly gets the urge to urinate then he will calmly urinate in the pool while others are swimming around; and he will silently hope that no one notices what he is doing. Lastly, if a very bad, notorious person is swimming in the pool and gets the urge to urinate then he will exit the pool and stand upright by the edge of the pool - next to the signpost that states “no urinating allowed” - and in full view of all, he will urinate directly into the pool while others are swimming there. While urinating he will take a selfie and put it up on Facebook and proclaim that “I do not care about the swimming pool rules.” And then he will jump back into that same swimming pool and start swimming.

Similarly, good wts never use a soft bed, even if due to travel they are staying in a hotel they will sleep on the floor. Bad Dadas will violate Guru’s code of conduct and sleep in the bed but they will hope that no one sees them doing this. Evil, notorious Wts commit sin by going against the conduct rule and sleeping in a soft bed, and then they make a selfie of themselves and put it on Facebook for the whole world to see. They gloat and brag that, “Look I am an avadhuta but I do not care about Guru’s guidelines - I just urinate on those conduct rules.”

By behaving in this arrogant and degraded manner, this Dada is setting a very bad example to junior workers etc. They will see what he has done and emulate it. That is why this Dada is a mahapatakii [worst sinner], otherwise what could be the explanation for his conduct. Sadly, by his wrongdoing he is setting the stage of recurring sin as others will follow his defective example.

Seeing the above photo of the person sleeping, some readers may think that, “He cannot be a monk - just he is just a road guy, or street vendor selling vegetables - he can’t be a monk.” Many may think like this. But the reality is something very different - as you continue to read below and reach note 1 you will see Dadaji’s photo.

Self-propaganda is good or bad

In Guru’s compositions of Prabhat Samgiita, He guides us how ideal devotees behave: “A'mi nijere praca'r karibo na'..."  (PS 337)

Meaning: I will never glorify my own existence. I will never propagate about my own personality...

Thus, in any narrative, one must not focus and highlight one’s own petty existence. Rather the aim should be to glorify the Supreme Entity - Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji.

Yet Dadaji is the exact opposite. He is gloating and bragging about himself. He has become a carbon copy of today’s pseudo-culture society where people engage in self-promotion all day long: “I did this”, “I did that”, “Look at me here”, “See how important I am.”

Dadaji has fallen so deep into this chasm of self-promotion that he is pretending to be asleep while he has taken this selfie. So the whole entire scene is fake from head to toe. Indeed it is shameful.

Read below and categorise who is good, bad, and worst acarya

Guru says in His discourse entitled Conduct of Acarya: "Those who have the responsibility to show the path to others should be of superlative character with the most refined conduct. They and their followers must move constantly towards all-round development and shreya [ultimate spiritual attainment]. Persons who teach such well-regulated behaviour to others by their own conduct are called ácáryas." (2)

Guru says in His discourse entitled Conduct of Acarya: "Bear in mind that people may be harmed or misled by even a small weakness or defect in the conduct of an ácárya. Just as it is the duty of a father to educate his children properly by his good conduct, an ácárya or ácáryá should always instruct by his or her exemplary actions and words." (3)

Ananda Marga philosophy warns how improper leadership brings terrible harm to society.

“Today there is catastrophe and misery in human society and there is one reason: the defective leadership of society. People blindly follow even unintelligent leaders. The leaders hypnotize and attract thousands with their tall talks, gestures and other dramatics. Understand that the poverty and misery of any people in any country are the sins of the leaders. True leaders should always be vigilant and think how to work best for human society: they must be ever cautious that under their guidance the people are not led to darkness, death and immorality.” (4)

Namaskar,
in Him,
Dayanand Ghosh

Note 1: Who is this “great” dada

Again, seeing the person photo of the person sleeping, some readers may think that, “He cannot be a monk - just he is just a road guy, or street vendor selling vegetables - he can’t be a monk.” Many may think like this. But the reality is something very different - see the below photo - here is Dadaji. This is our Ac Arnavananda Avt. This is the same Dada Arnavananda who took a selfie of himself sleeping in the above photo.

Seeing his short hair and beard it looks like he was initiated yesterday - but that is not correct. About this point of why he is violating Guru’s order and keeping short hair and beard, we will talk in the future.

Note: It is imperative to know this letter is about monks / Wts - not a family man. A monk has to follow the conduct rules for monks. A family person need not follow such rules. If any reader forgets this very point while reading this letter then the whole thing will be useless and a waste of time. While reading every line bear in mind we are talking about a monk, an avadhuta, a second god - not xyz.

How loose string makes the human animal and

overly tight string makes them charred

If this above heading is not clear then please read below.

“The common people, let alone the master artists, know that sound is not emitted if the strings are loosened too much and the soft and delicate strings snap if they are tightened too much. Human life is also like this. If one practises too much austerity (in some cases, if one makes a parade of austerity), tender human sensitivities snap and break into smithereens’ the soft, delicate parts of the mind get charred and petrified. On the other hand, if life is made akin to a loose string, the nobler yearnings of life will never be fulfilled. In other words, that kind of life degenerates into the life of an animal characterized only by bathing, eating and sleeping. Hence one must never allow the string of life to be loose. But also the string of life should not be left to snap due to excessive strain. The ideal course of life is neither left-oriented nor right-oriented. This kind of life will be conspicuous by the absence of strife, mayhem or horror of the leftists and of toleration of injustices by the rightists in their loose, careless and sloppy life. It is this ideal course that will usher in a life worth yearning for a super-human existence, divinely exquisite and shining brightly on the banner of gold.”

Note: One should know that Ananda Marga is the middle path. So strictly following 16 points is the middle path. Nobody should get confused and think it is ok to be medium or mediocre in following 16 points. That is the wrong approach. In His above teaching, Baba is referring to (a) avidya tantrikas who are very extreme in their penance and (b) idol worshippers. The middle point is Ananda Marga. So one should be very strict in 16 points. That is what is being taught in the above guideline.

~ O’ Parama Purusa, Baba, You came with the flood of spiritual effulgence ~

"Ele álor váne,dolá diye kotháy lukiye gele, sumanda samiire, suvás bhare diye man mátále,..." (PS #1132)

Purport:

O’ Parama Purusa, Baba,You are so gracious. You came with the flood of spiritual effulgence - Your presence transformed my whole existence. After spiritually vibrating me and filling my mind with devotion, where have You hidden Yourself? I can’t see You. You have saturated the gentle breeze with Your divine fragrance. O’ my Lord, You divinely intoxicated my mind with devotion. After gracing me in this way, where have You gone?

O’ Supreme Entity, Baba, everyone yearns for You; all long to get You more close. No one wants to leave You for even a single moment. By having You, the heart basks in bliss. Every bhakta wants to surrender unto You and always remain under Your shelter. O’ Divine Entity, whatever sweetness exists in their mind, they want to pour at Your lotus feet and satisfy their age-old longing to please You.

O Bhavatiita [1], please grace me by coming close - please come in madhura bhava [2] and remove all my imperfections. Make me pure so I can realise You fully. O’ my Lord, please come, with new rhythm, song, melody, and tunes, and with Your heart-exuberating, soul-stirring new beats.

O’ Parama Purusa, Baba, please shower Your causeless grace and make my life successful...

Notes for Prabhat Samgiita #1132:

[1] Bha'va'tiita: This is one of the names of Parama Purusa and describes one of His infinite attributions. In His stance of bhava’tiita, Parama Purusa is beyond all thought conception. Bhava means thinking, and atiita means beyond. So bhavatiita means the Entity who is beyond all thought. If one tries to think of Bhavatiita - i.e. the Supreme Entity - then one’s mind gets suspended and ceases to function. It is akin to the doll of salt that tries to measure the depths of the ocean. It dissolves before reaching the bottom and becomes one with the ocean. Similarly, the mind cannot reach that Entity who is Bhavatiita. As the unit mind tries to think of Him, the mind actually becomes one with Him, by His grace. That unit mind loses its individuality and merges into Him - it cannot remain separate. That is why He is Bhavatiita.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Parama Purus'a, the Supreme Reality, is beyond all speech and thought: He is beyond the reach of the vocal cord. So He is bha'va'tiita ["beyond bha'va"]...The more one thinks of His infinite qualities, the more one becomes speechless, the more deeply one becomes absorbed in Him." (1)

[2] Madhura Bhava: There are different relations / bhavas a sadhaka may have with Parama Purusa. For instance one may view Him as Father, or Friend, or Master, or Lover, i.e. madhura bhava etc. These relations have varying degrees of closeness with the Divine Entity. Of the four, madhura bhava is very intimate and close.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "Madhura bháva is a very exalted bháva, for this bháva fills the mind with sweetness and bliss and leads the aspirant to the closest proximity of the Lord. To a person who is predominantly a devotee of the Lord, everything tastes sweet, there is nothing bitter in the creation of Parama Puruśa. He is attracting you through the ectoplasmic world, binding you through the bonds of love." (2)

Ananda Marga teachings state, "The spirit of madhura bháva is as follows: “He is so vast, endowed with innumerable attributes, yet even then He loves me. He is so great, yet He is still my most intimate friend, so very close to me. What joy! What joy!” This is madhura bháva." (3)

So the path of madhura bhava is always blissful. The bhakta wants only His sweet proximity and one gets His intimate companionship by His grace.

Gruesome murder case:

Sarvatmananda & others are in custody

Namaskar,

Here is an important message…

Finally Accused Sarvatmananda and 7 others were sent into Jail for gruesome murder of Ac. Abhipremananda Avt.

On 18th September, 2003 Acarya Abhipremananda Avadhuta was murdered at Anandanagar, WB, India  and many others were seriously injured and some even lost their organs. Ac. Shyamananda Avt is still paralyzed and hanging between life and death since then.

Those who were involved with this gruesome murder have so far been moving freely.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday, however, made absolute its September 22, 2014 order rejecting anticipatory bail to Sarvatmananda and others, in this gruesome murder case, and directed the accused to surrender to the Police Authorities, PS Joypur, Dist Purulia within 15.5.2015 by 10 a.m. If, for any reason, they fail to comply with the order and directions issued by this court, Supreme Court directed the Police authorities to arrest them and take them into custody forthwith.

Hon. Justice H.L. Dattu Chief Justice of India and 2 other judges passed the said order after the accused failed to surrender   pursuant to Supreme Court order dated 22.9.2014. Justice Mr. Dattu remarked that it has been brought to the notice of this court that, in spite of the stay of the interim order, neither the accused have surrendered before the police authority nor police authorities have taken any steps to take them into custody. So the Court further directed the District Superintendent of Police, District Purulia, to file an appropriate report before this Court on 15.05. 2015 itself, by 4.30 p.m.

If, for any reason, there is a failure to comply with Supreme Court order and directions, the Order mentions that the Court will view it very seriously.

Pursuant to this order of the Apex Court, Joypur Police arrested the eight accused in the “Abhipremananda Murder Case” and  took Sarvatmananda, Sarveshvarananda, Mantreshvarananda, Bhaveshananda, Vitamohananda, Haratmananda, Raviishananda and Tanmayananda into custody.

Marga children’s home: child abuse case + Mumbai News

Marga children’s home: child abuse case

Note: This letter has been written with a positive feeling - to “see the bright side” - for how our children’s homes can become disease-free and ailment-free. If there is a children’s home in your area please watch out because this type of problem is not uncommon.

Namaskar,
Baba has specially given our Ananda Marga children’s homes for the safe and healthy growth of those young ones. Our children’s homes are meant as a haven of neo-humanistic principles and spiritual ideals. In that environment, those children will grow to be ideal human beings and leaders of society.

Now, however, in one particular children’s home that vision has been shattered. All eyes and ears should be focused on the below scene so the matter can be addressed and resolved. Those children are depending upon your engagement and follow through - allowing this to be swept under the carpet will not do.

Dirty blood and the lowest caste

The current DSL Didi in Ludhiana allegedly abuses and hates kids yet she is running an Ananda Marga children’s home. She yells and screams at them day-long - and she beats them the way police beat notorious criminals. It is a shocking and horrifying situation.

The various neighbours and community members all see and hear what is going on. And when anyone complains about the way Didi is mistreating those young, tender, impressionable children, then Didi justifies her position. She says, “You do not know these kids come from dirty blood; they are of the the lowest caste. They are untouchable and they need harsh treatment. I am not doing anything that they do not deserve.” That is what DSL Didi says. But everyone around knows better.

The BP of Ludhiana and is a very sincere, committed margii. It seems that he is not aware about the situation. Best will be if he  puts an agent or investigator in the neighborhood to document everything and get proof. Then the harsh reality that is unfolding day-by-day, minute-by-minute, will be documented. And a proper course of action can be taken. The way things are now is intolerable. No child should have to live in such conditions.

Repulsive feeling towards  those kids

Didiji allegedly treats those kids like her slaves and servants. They bring her bed-tea in the morning and massage her in the evening. and the whole situation is awful and if those small kids do not perform properly then Didi beats them more.

Really this is quite unusual for a grown female to behave this way towards kids. Mostly females have a very motherly feeling but somehow DSL Ludhiana harbours a repulsive feeling towards those kids. It is sad and tragic - and the ones who suffer are those children. H group posted her there and they have not taken steps to rectify the situation.

It is well known in the local area that Didi loudly yells at and physically hits and abuses those kids. This is not something hidden. The people who live around there see it with their own eyes - and they hear those kids crying.

Finally, when Didi goes and buys sweets then she never shares those sweets with the kids and if ever a child tastes one morsel of those sweets then Didi punishes them severely.

Here it should be noted that all these aforementioned these problems began happening this year, i.e. in 2015.

Against our ethics and Against the Law

The situation under the roof of our very own children’s home contravenes our very ethics and violates international laws on child protection. A fast and effective intervention is needed. Both local margiis and margiis from afar are requested to write organisational and demand action on this important issue.

Solution: mount security camera

The operative query is how to resolve the present crisis and prevent future ones. In this era of modern technology and science the answer is not so difficult. With just a little investment one can install a security camera system - which is common amongst business, institutions, and family homes. Those video cameras will record all activities in the childrens’ home. The Didi on-site and all children will be informed about the surveillance system and this will help them exercise restraint during challenging moments. Since the home in Ludhiana is for girls, the in-charge Didis and female committee members will be responsible for reviewing the video from time to time to ensure all is well in the home. With this system in place, the problem of violence and abuse in our children’s homes will be eliminated.

This entire report and aforementioned solution has been presented here so we may avert public scandal and ensure the safety and well-being of those kids. This type of situation occurring in Ludhiana must be resolved and similar things should be prevented from cropping up elsewhere. To this end, a surveillance / security system will be invaluable.

Here it should be noted that all these aforementioned problems in the Ludhiana children's home began happening this year, i.e. in 2015.

In Him,
Kiran Chadha

Note 1: Responsibility must never be entrusted

to those who are themselves criminals

“Social responsibility should be entrusted to those who are capable of discharging it creditably. If moralism is the starting-point of the journey of society, then those who are at its helm must be moralists. And since society aims to establish universalism, those people must be universalists. And if the gap between moralism and universal humanism is to be bridged, spiritual sádhaná is a must, so those people must practise rigorous sádhaná. Their philosophy of life must be, “Morality is the base, sádhaná is the means, and life divine is the goal.”

“This great responsibility must never be entrusted to those who are themselves criminals. Unless and until such people correct themselves, they will not be given any social value, though in no way will they be denied human value. At present social value is given importance, but those who are selected to discharge social responsibility do not possess the aforesaid qualities. They have occupied their posts on the strength of their money or on the basis of patronage, but this has not resulted in any collective welfare. That is why there is an instruction in our social scripture.” (1)

Note 2: Looked at the helpless face of the child

“Every man must realize the duty which he owes direct to the babe in his family, and on which depends the developments of the child in all spheres. This duty may be demanded from every man by every child of the world. Hence, thinking in favour of family babes only will not suffice. Even if it were not possible for particular persons to discharge properly the duties towards each and every child of the world owing to crude worldly reasons, they must always be conscious of their duties towards children within their acquaintance. The oath taken on the occasion of Játakarma will reawaken the sense of that duty again and again. Any grown-up person or any father shall not forget his duty when he has once looked at the helpless face of the child. It does not end here. In pursuance of the mantra of Játakarma in Ánanda Márga, a child has not simply been regarded as a child only but also a manifestation of Brahma in the child. So, serving the child, shall be a part of Sádhaná (Brahma-Sádhaná) to him. The credit for his services to the child will not create pride in him. The same feeling will recur in mind when the child is bathed with water consecrated with the mantra. The persons taking part in the function will think anew that the child is once again being bathed with their blessings and that they must take fatherly responsibility of the child.” (2)

Note 3: Spirit: You belong to a company of pilgrims

“You must remember that the newcomer who comes to your society for the first time is fraught with every human prospect, potentiality and possibility. Hence, it is useless to think what treasure he possesses and to what extent. Any question as to the superiority or inferiority in respect of wealth, caste, quality and beauty or education does not arise at all. You belong to a company of pilgrims. Why should you then allow anybody among you to starve or to lag behind? You shall not allow such a circumstances to creep up in any way, as it will mar the very charm of pilgrimage.” (3)

Mumbai children’s home: hungry kids

- Mumbai. Here the children’s home is run by Ananda Giita’s group. At this home, the in-charge didi always keeps the kitchen locked - except during meal times. Didi herself suffers from stomach problems so she rarely feels hungry. But those kids are young and growing and need to eat much more frequently. This Didi cannot understand so she is essentially torturing those children by keeping the kitchen locked.

And when she does open it then those children overeat for fear that they will not be able to eat again soon when they are hungry. By this way, Didi is instilling a sense of greed in those children because in their mind they feel there is a perpetual shortage of food. So they eat whatever they can get their hands on. Sadly, this type of greed for food will scar those kids and the problem will remain with them their entire life.

In the true sense however there is no reason for any shortage. The margiis of Mumbai are very generous in their donations, as are members of the greater society. So there is plenty of money and food donations. Only Didi likes to allegedly pocket those funds - that is the cause of the shortage.

Talking with this Didi directly will not solve the problem - she is an expert orator. If any margii asks Didi then she convinces them. So just believing on Didi’s statement will not solve the purpose - rather it will be useless. She is like a lawyer: She can prove wrong as right and right as wrong. So here the only solution is to install surveillance cameras.

Because asking those kids will not help as they are scared of Didi because she warns and threatens those them not to reveal the problems to others. She “trains” those kids to always give a false positive reply to others.

Only if those kids come in your confidence will the real story be told. That is why only a surveillance camera can justly convey what is happening. It is sad that those kids are hungry and denied such a basic requirement like food.

in Him,
Archana Khare

Believers of fake MPD can’t get it

“In each and every action you will have to try to realize the Supreme Entity; then and only then will those actions not be binding. When you think He is here, He is nearer than here. He is so near that it is difficult to measure the distance. You search Him in the caves of the Himalayas and wander here and there and He is nowhere. But when you attain awareness of Him, you know that He was along with you in your search and that He was seated in your heart. He shares your joys and pains, as He is with you through thick and thin. He never leaves you even when all others have abandoned you.” (1)

Note: When the mind is influenced by avidya maya, a sadhaka may start thinking that, “Parama Purusa is not along with me.” In that depraved state, the mahaprayan dogma sprouts in the mind. Just as night and day cannot co-exist, similarly the mahaprayan dogma (i.e. “Parama Purusa is no more”) and the above the cited idea - that “Parama Purusa is always with me” - cannot co-exist. When a person keeps their mind pure with Brahmabhava then the mahaprayan dogma will not brood in their mind. To understand fully, please read the above quote again.

Mahaprayan of a true warrior of Ananda Marga

Baba

Mahaprayan of a true warrior of Ananda Marga

Namaskar
It is with much sadness and respect that I share with you the mahaprayan of respected margii Shriish Chandra Jaiswal ji; his mahaprayan occurred - 01 May 2015 at 4:50am IST in Mumbai. Shriishji was 77 years of age.

All know that Shriishji was a true devotee of the Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji and a great dharmika in our Ananda Marga Mission. Professionally, he was a high-ranking engineer in the Indian government service and he played a pivotal role in the design and construction of numerous Ananda Nagar building projects. Baba specifically put him on such assignments. Truly speaking, Shriishji was blessed to participate in so many important ways in Guru's mission. Shriishji served as bhukti pradhan (BP) of Buxar for decades, and he also was vigilant to have all his children educated at Ananda Marga schools in Ananda Nagar and Malur Polytechnic Institute etc.

Real torch-bearer of Ananda Marga:

fighter against dogma and injustice

One theme throughout his life was that Shriishji always stood up for what was right and had the courage to oppose dogma, both in the general society and within AMPS during the post-90 era. All who knew him understood this was his trademark characteristic. Shriishji never tolerated injustice of any sort.

So when things went awry after 1990 in our own organisation (AMPS), then Shriishji was one of the first to take a bold, brave stand and demand that the tenets of Ananda Marga ideology be upheld - at all costs, in all circumstances, bar none. On this point, he sacrificed a lot in his personal life yet he never wavered. Verily he was one of the real torch-bearers and vanguards of Ananda Marga. He was a true sadvipra who upheld Baba’s teachings and opposed dogma - and he paid dearly for it. As he was attacked, disrespected, victimised, and abused. Yet he always stood tall.

One of the first to oppose fake mahaprayan

Shriishji was at the forefront in opposition to fake mahaprayan - i.e. the annual gathering on 21 Oct in Tiljala. He opposed this from the very beginning - writing one of the first mahaprayan circulars in 1996. In turn, he was harassed and blacklisted by those dogmatic forces / MPD organisers etc. Those group leaders barred him from DMS and made life difficult for him in any number of ways. But Shriishji never bowed down at the altar of dogma or groupism. He always courageously held the lantern of dharma.

Remember, those days in the mid-1990s before there was any division, it was a death-defying deed to openly oppose Centre. Many a man was crippled under such pressure, but Shriishji faced the backlash and injustices without flinching - his eyes fixed on the flag of dharma. And for that no trouble was too great.

Shriisji was also one of the first to speak out against scriptural distortions of our AM books. He talked to many about this and would openly raise the point amongst margiis at various functions.

Whole family involved in Ananda Marga

Throughout his adult life, Shriishji lived in the town of Buxar (Bihar) and his house was like a jagrti - Wts and margiis were always staying there. And verily wherever he lived always his abode was like that of a jagrti - the centre of AM activities etc. His whole family was involved in service work for Ananda Marga and he convinced his son to dedicate for and work in Ananda Nagar. He was also a member of the Central ACB (VSS) and donated large sums of money to maintain Baba’s security detail.

Shriisji was blessed on numerous occasions to attend reportings, meetings, and DMC with Baba and was also blessed to get PC and dharma samiiksa with Baba.

Overall, he had a tremendous impact on the growth and well-being of our Ananda Marga society over his many years active service in AMPS. His mahaprayan is a great loss to our AM society. Shriish ji is survived by his wife, five grown & married children, and several grandchildren.

In His supreme shelter

May we all take solace in the fact that respected Shriish ji was an ardent bhakta of Sadguru Baba. Certainly he will attain mukti or moksa, accordingly. Baba will lovingly bestow His grace and take him under His Supreme shelter.

With deepest regards.

Namaskar,
at His lotus feet,
Bhairava

Note 1: Mahaprayan is only for humans

Note 2: There is no question of mahaprayan of Taraka Brahma
