Baba
Looting of another jagrti
Namaskar,
#1: Overview: It is Sadguru Baba's well-known policy that AM properties and buildings are not to be sold. Yet here we are with the next debacle in NY sector where another jagrti was recently sold, but as always it comes with the golden promise that a newer, better jagrti will be purchased. Let me explain more.

How jagrti was lost
#2: The Dallas (Texas, USA) jagrti was primarily funded and purchased by Dr Ravi Batra and had been in the hands of AM for a number of years. And up till recently, one Wt Dada was living there full-time. So it was an active and well-kept jagrti. Indeed, over the years, Dr Batra graciously financially supported the jagrti on a monthly basis, covering general expenses and maintenance costs etc. So it was indeed a functioning jagrti.
#3: Unfortunately, Abhiramananda and his stooge helper, Dhruva (Clark Forden), swooped in and made their mark. Abhiramamanda removed the resident Wt Dada from the jagrti in June of 2023, and in the due course Dhruva massaged the various paperwork and in seemingly no time at all they sold the jagrti. So it is ours no more. The duo of Abhiramananda and Dhruva have once again waved their magic wand and made yet another AM property disappear.
Empty promise & looting
#4: And before any substantial objection could be raised, they reassured everyone that they are on the hunt for a better, bigger jagrti, and that we will not miss the old one. Sadly, such an empty promise has been told too many times in the past for it to be taken seriously.

#5a: And verily there are some ominous signs surrounding the sale. First is the price. The jagrti’s estimated value was $188,000 (US), yet they undersold it for a lesser price of $172,200. That gives the impression that they really needed some fast cash, otherwise what was the need to rush into a bad sale, and not get the full worth of the property. So the sale itself - unauthorized and against our AM system - looks like an act of sheer and utter desperation. Such an event is called a "fire sale" when someone is desperate to get rid of something.
#5b: Moreover, the market price of approximately $188,000 (US) dollar figure does not begin to reflect the existential value it holds for Ananda Margiis as the jagrti was a sentient sanctuary for our practices, lifestyle, devotional expression, and so much more. As the US is dominated by crude, materialistic indulgences, the jagrti represented a safe haven for satsaunga and dharmic endeavours. And now that is all gone as Abhiramananda and Dhruva sold it so they could cash in. Sadly, for them, the jagrti was just a material holding that was sold for their wallets, and they disregarded the real, true, existential-cum-spiritual value it held in the lives of Ananda Margiis.
Cannot appeal to anyone
#6: Another ominous sign is that there is no one to complain to. Why? Because Abhiramananda is both GS & SS. That's right, Abhiramananda holds the posts of (a) GS of the entire organisation and (b) SS of NY sector. That means if there is an issue in NY sector there is no independent authority to hear any complaint because Abhiramananda is seated in both chairs, i.e. he is the appointed authority overseeing NY. Obviously, this stands in stark contrast to Baba's given system.

Backstory of Abhiramananda & Dhruva
#7: How did this happen? Abhiramananda rose up the ranks and got into Rudrananda's good books - astonishingly given the dual posts of GS of the entire organisation and SS of NY sector - because of his eager willingness to hand over huge amounts of money to Rudrananda. And in selling the Dallas jagrti, Abhiramananda was able to feed that fire. Also, it could be that Abhiramananda was behind or delinquent in his payments to Rudrananda so he (Abhiramananda) was under financial duress and felt pressured to sell the Dallas jagrti as quickly as possible - hence the below-market selling price.
#8: For his part, Dhruva is always a willing enabler in these types of sales because his is a lifelong tale of financial woe, and he is always trying to squeeze a few pennies out of AMPS to put in his own pocket. Basically, Dhruva survives off of whatever table scraps Abhiramananda tosses his way.
Conclusion
#9: All in all, the situation does not look good, and my heart goes out to the margiis in Dallas, and in particular to Dr Batra as the jagrti which he funded in service to Sadguru Baba was sold against his wishes. At this point, let's hope for the best and see what happens. Everyone should be on the watch for that new glorious jagrti that has been promised. Moreover, as far as possible, we should keep an eye on and follow the money trail of this past jagrti sale.

#10: The biggest takeaway is that Sadguru Baba's clear-cut directive is not to sell AM buildings, lands, and properties for any reason. All such real estate holdings should stay firmly within the possession of AMPS.
#11: Now is the time to fight against such sinners.
in Him,
Varun
