It is Baba’s given system that all margiis should donate – on a sliding scale – when holding a collective feast such as during Ananda Purnima etc. But this year at the Ananda Purnima celebrations in Ranchi, the in-charge Dadas arranged for only a few wealthy followers to pay. They did not collect from the general margiis of Ranchi bhukti. Instead they only accepted funds from their big-time donors and stooges to boost their status.
Many say this was done to “show-up” the local margiis. At present the margiis are doing silent action against top Ranchi dadas because those dadas wrongly removed the elected bhukti pradhan. This is an involved story which I request another person to write about in detail in another letter. Here the point is that because big dadas were feeling pinched by local margiis, then those dadas decided to retaliate. To push the margiis down and indirectly say that, “We do not care about your money”, those big dadas did not request or allow those margiis to donate any money for the feast.
Again this was not done out of any large-hearted feelings and great generosity towards the margiis; rather this was allegedly done out of spite and vengeance.
Yet by their entire manner, those Central Wts are clearly violating Baba's mandate regarding collective food.
"Priityanna: If a person wants to feed you out of genuine intimacy, you should take that food happily, even if it is just grains and vegetables. But if someone invites you only to make a show to people, never accept his/her food." (Caryacarya, part 2, Society, point #37)
Next Baba gives the example of donkey food and how offering food as a show of one's prestige etc goes against the collective well-being.
"If food is not given with that heart-felt feeling and if one's own life is not in danger due to starvation, in that condition then any food offered is donkey food, gardabha'nna. So one must not eat that food." (Summary of Shabda Cayanika - 20, p.163-64 [Bangla])
So that is donkey food - food given just for show or to impress others etc.
But since it was the grand occasion of Ananda Purnima, Ranchi margiis remained quiet and maintained the dignity of the gathering. They did not want to disrupt the whole scene, despite the ugly approach of certain big Dadas.
Beware, this is not an isolated incident. This is going on in various places, but mostly it goes unreported. Yet it is happening again and again. And it will recur in the future also because this is being orchestrated by Centre. So take it seriously - this is not ordinary news - rather this was a clear-cut case of undermining the dignity and respect of all margiis.

Intro: Kindly read the below quote from Baba's teachings. At the end of the quote a question has been posed. If your answer to the question is correct then it means you read Baba's books carefully; and, if your answer is wrong or you do not know the answer, then it signifies that you need to pay more attention when reading Guru's teachings. After all, if sadhakas are not diligent in studying Baba's books then who is going to read them - non-margiis?
"Some philosophies have taught their own [religious or caste] communities, “The members of this community are the favourite children of Parama Puruśa – others are cursed and unwanted.” Due to this defective teaching the people of one community have even considered the destruction of the members of another community as an act of virtue, and stained the stony altar of human society with the blood of innocent people. In the blood of these innocent victims, the blind adherents of such defective philosophies have taken a holy bath of “liberation”." (Namah Shiváya Shántáya, Disc: 14)
Quiz: Who is Baba referring to in the above quote?
Most probably, as an Ananda Margii, you know what the answer is. However to fully satisfy your curiosity and get the complete answer, kindly read the section directly AFTER the below Ananda Vanii.
"The very import of the history of human welfare is the history of struggle and strife. Even the sweet gospels of peace could not be preached in an environment of peace and composure. Devils did not allow the apostle of peace to work peacefully – that is why I say that peace is the outcome of fight."
"This endeavour at the well-being of the human race concerns everyone – it is yours, mine and ours. We may afford to ignore our rights, but we must not forget our responsibilities. Forgetting the responsibility implies the humiliation of the human race."
"In order to march ahead on the road of human welfare, we will have to strengthen ourselves in all the arena of life. The complete seeds of welfare in all the spheres – physical, mental, moral, social and spiritual – are embedded in the sixteen points. Hence be firm on the sixteen points." (Ananda Vanii #45)
Answer: Baba is indirectly talking about battles between the various Semitic religions such as the Crusades, Shia-Sunni fight, and aggressive / forced conversion etc. Here are the specifics:
(a) Christians engaged in brutal forced conversions of non-Christians wherever they went. During the era of colonization, with the "sword" they forcibly converted the native peoples in so many lands across the globe. Gradually, they transformed their approach from "using the sword" to applying economic, psychological, and circumstantial pressure to convert people into Christianity. All along they reasoned that what they are doing is virtuous because they are "saving" such heathens from their uncivilised style of worship.
The Vatican has already admitted to taking part in the World War II Croatian genocide where more than 800,000 innocents were brutally slaughtered. ref, http://urbantruthnetwork.wordpress.com
(b) Catholics also have a long and brutal history of forcible converting non-Catholics. Their harsh approach created backlash and the rise of the Protestants. Thus within Christianity itself their is a history of such battles and forced conversion.
(c) Islam has a bloody history of conversion and still this tactic is in vogue. They forcibly convert and attack non-Muslims with their physical might. There are innumerable instances of this. In addition, the Muslims apply economic pressure in the form of taxes and denial of business licenses. Plus, non-Muslims are sidelined and lose their rights and privileges. BY all such methods, people are pressured and forced to convert to Islam. And those Muslims feel their approach is virtuous as they are rescuing such persons from their other faith.
(d) Within the Islamic tradition, the battles of shia-sunni are well documented where forced conversion is done at gun-point and numerous other bloody strategies.
(e) Long back also in the Buddhist era there were forced conversions. Those Buddhist kings were carrying out raids and battles to increase number of Buddhist followers. That approach is no longer in vogue.
(f) Unfortunately, the way events are unfolding in Ananda Marga nowadays, things are moving in that same direction. At present, if you are not a member of a particular group, then they may bar you from attending a function, or you may be denied entry into a jagrti, or you may be kept out of certain parts of Ananda Nagar, or you may face certain difficulties etc. Or they may try and entice you to join their group by offering post, power, status etc. All these types of pressure tactics and allurements are already going on in Ananda Marga. And if awareness of our ideological principles is not emphasized, then most certainly, groups will start carrying out forced conversions where they physically attack non-members to increase their own membership / cadres.

"Rich People Are In Our Pocket"
The meal offered at the Ranchi Ananda Purnima celebration was not
given out of love and affection. This whole episode was done to
humiliate others. Those at the helm wanted to give the message, "We
have rich people - they our stooges - so we can feed you - we do not
need what you have to offer." This was the arrogant and poisonous
display of those Central Wts. But since it was the grand occasion of Ananda Purnima, Ranchi margiis remained quiet and maintained the dignity of the gathering. They did not want to disrupt the whole scene, despite the ugly approach of certain big Dadas.
