This incident is related with one margii from the US who, in the past, had been involved in gay relations. When he went for dharma samiiksa and reached before Baba, then Sadguru Baba pointed out the wrongdoing and gave him a token punishment for his wrongdoing. Immediately, the sadhaka felt a great sense of relief as he was feeling repentant for his bad dealings. So when Baba graciously blessed him with atonement and requited his sin, a huge burden was removed from his psyche, by the unfathomable grace of Baba.

AM marriage: between boy & girl only - 1

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, “Male members of the Marga can marry females outside the Marga, but it will be better to marry a female member of the Marga to a male member of the Marga, as far as possible.” (1)

First we should recall that Ananda Marga is based on bhagavad dharma. That is why it is said that Ananda Marga is a man-making mission. There are various animalistic activities promoted in the general society which are harmful for the all-around development of human beings that are not supported by AM due to its beastial nature. Those things degrade the mind.

Here is one such example of animalistic relations: LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender). In the following teachings Baba is clearly showing that Ananda Marga promotes marriages between males and females. With that principle, beastly marriages like LGBT etc have no place in Ananda Marga. LGBT martial relations are detrimental for human society.

(The following is an excerpt from one great Baba story book, by very senior dada)

Brother G from the USA stood in front of Baba. After some personal talk, Baba said, “Your mind is unnecessarily disturbed about the past. You made some mistakes of a sexual nature.”

G’s face suddenly became very red.

“Yeah...yes, Baba,” he mumbled.

“When you were younger you had some misunderstanding about the relationship between men and women.”

He stared at the floor, saying, “Yes, Baba.”

“But it was not your fault. As a little boy you were simply influenced by your environment.”

G looked up at Baba. He sighed deeply, smiled slightly and said, “Thank you, Baba.”

“No need of thanks,” Baba said. “I merely convey to you the unadulterated facts. You were unaware. Unaware.”

G approached me after the session, wanting to get something off his chest.

“I never told anyone, Dada,” he said, “but since you were present today, I want to tell you that...that before joining Ananda Marga, I had...homosexual relations.”

He watched for my reaction. Seeing none, he continued, “Even though I’ve been doing meditation for a number of years, it’s always bothered me; I’ve always felt guilty. But now Baba’s freed my mind. When He said it wasn’t my fault, something let go inside of me. I feel so light now; I wouldn’t be surprised if I started to fly!”

About same-sex relations

In the above story, a male had sex with another male – that is the sinful dealing that Baba is pointing out and this same sin applies to females who have sex with another female. So this is a universal teaching that applies to all gays, lesbians, homosexuals etc.

Having attraction for the same-sex is not good. This attraction must not be encouraged, neither physically nor mentally. Rather it should be diverted toward spiritual attainment; that desire should be goaded towards Parama Purusa. An ideal widower, or divorcee, or single margii, and those who have taken the vow of celibacy, if any have attraction for the opposite sex, then internally they goad their mind toward Parama Purusa. Remember physically indulging in same-sex relations and mentally harboring this desire are both against the Ananda Marga way of life and detrimental to one’s spiritual growth.

Some people think accepting gay relations is equated with being open-minded. In that case, in the general society then all kinds of things should be accepted in the name of open-mindedness like prostitution, animal sex, i.e. humans having intercourse with animals like dogs, cats, horses, pigs, goats, donkeys, camels, bulls, sheep, and birds.

In Ananda Marga, we love everyone – all humans irrespective of their gender or sexual preference, or any other quality. We love everyone: Diseased persons, healthy persons, serial killers, and sex addicts etc.


Conclusion

By reading the above story, anyone can understand that Ananda Marga is the path of bliss and not the path of animal satisfaction. So animalistic activities like LGBT are condemned in Ananda Marga. Those marching on the path of life divine have to be disciplined. Even in the first step of their journey they have to theoretically understand that sex is not the be-all and end-all of life.

Since ancient times, knowingly or unknowingly, human beings and different animals have also accepted water as one of their medicines. It is also said in the Vedas: ápashca vishvabheśajii [and water is a universal medicine]."

This quote was printed in the Crimson Dawn newsletter on the basis of hearsay those days during Emergency before Baba's coming out of jail. People did not object because what people were printing was not authenticated; and it was during the dark days so whatever people were doing was fine. Just like if child does something then do not nit pick what the child does. In 1978 Baba came out and the era changed and this "merge in mission" quote died out.

After that Sarvatmananda gave it its rebirth in 1990 to fulfill his devious agenda. Some think that before 90 there was no dogma. But they are not properly informed that is why they think in that way. But those working in the organisation before 1990 know that so many injustices were going on. And Baba did not have time to personally address them all and punish those people. This bogus "merge in mission" quote was one such case.

These above two quotes are provided to debunk the false gay propaganda that Baba never said which gender one should marry. From these teachings, it is obvious that only boys and girls can marry one another. For further explanation please continue reading below.

Dr Gigg gives a good explanation why gay sex, specifically [rectal entry], is so unnatural, unhealthy and harmful:

[Rectal dealings play a prominent role in the relationship] for many gay men. Yet human physiology makes it clear that the body was not designed to accommodate this activity. The rectum is significantly different from the [female reproductive organ] with regard to suitability  by a [male organ]. The [female reproductive organ] is supported by a network of muscles. It is composed of a mucus membrane with a multi-layer stratified squamous epithelium that allows it to endure friction without damage and to resist the immunological actions caused by [glandular secretions]. In comparison, the [rectum] is a delicate mechanism of small muscles that comprise an "exit-only" passage. With repeated trauma, friction and stretching, the sphincter loses its tone and its ability to maintain a tight seal. Consequently, [gay activities] lead to leakage of fecal material that can easily become chronic. (Many gays have to wear a pad because of this leakage!) of feces.

The potential for injury is exacerbated by the fact that the intestine has only a single layer of cells separating it from highly vascular tissue, that is, blood. Therefore, any organisms that are introduced into the rectum have a much easier time establishing a foothold for infection than they would in a [female reproductive organ]. The single layer tissue cannot withstand the friction associated with [male organ] resulting in traumas that expose both participants to blood, organisms in feces, and a mixing of bodily fluids.

The end result is that the fragility of the [rear] and rectum, along with the immunosuppressive effect of [engagement], make [this type of gay relations] a most efficient manner of transmitting HIV and other infections. The path of Ananda

Ananda Marga is the path of bliss – the path of infinite joy. Ananda means infinite joy or bliss; and, marga means path. By its very name then, the term Ananda Marga denotes that this is the path to follow to reach the place where there is no pain or suffering. The aspirant will be in the abode of infinite pleasure. This infinite pleasure or bliss is not attainable through worldly activities like eating, drinking, sleeping, sexual indulgence etc.

Everything in this material world is limited and ephemeral. One cannot derive lasting pleasure from any worldly object or activity. If one eats and eats, the stomach will become so bloated that one cannot take another bite, but still the mind desires to eat more; it is not satisfied. There is even one case where a patient ate so much that his stomach burst. At that time his request to the doctor was, "Please stitch it so that I can eat more." Thus, still he was not satisfied.

The same is the case with sexual activities, drug addiction, or any other worldly pleasure. One cannot fulfill their infinite longing through these finite means.

End up ruining themselves

Materialism itself is a faulty philosophy that preaches how one can be satisfied by worldly indulgence. But this is a defective notion. Materialism does not consider or have a clue that human desire is infinite and cannot be satisfied through worldly means. Based on their wrong and defective platform, such materialists support all kinds of dirty activities which destroy the body and mind, such as drinking, smoking, lesbian & gay & bisexual perverted sex, humans having sex with animals & plants (dogs, cats, horses, pigs, goats, donkeys, camels, bulls, sheep, birds, and all kinds of harmful indulgences. Such degrading activities are not only allowed but welcomed in materialism.

Again it should be said: This materialistic philosophy is defective and utopian. The followers are misguided and think that by sex one can achieve infinite pleasure. With that faulty notion, all kinds of dealing like gay relations, sex with animals, and all kinds of nasty things are permitted in hopes of being satisfied. They believe happiness can be attained by running after finite, selfish pleasures, but in so doing they end up ruining themselves.

Plunge in fleeting, sinful vices

In reality, sane people realise that there is nothing in this worldly sphere that can bring infinite pleasure. No matter how much sex one has, one will never be satiated – always one wants more. Same is the case with drinking and drugs etc.

The path of Ananda Marga is completely different. It is based on the understanding that human longing is infinite and can never be satisfied by finite worldly indulgences. Only that infinite Divine Entity can satisfy human longing. That is why in Ananda Marga, our manner is to divert all longing toward the Supreme and ultimately become one with Parama Purusa. We live to please and serve Him and attain permanent peace, and not plunge ourselves in fleeting, sinful vices like humans having sex with animals etc (dogs, cats, horses, pigs, goats, donkeys, camels, bulls, sheep, birds) lesbian or gay or bi-sexual relations, or perverted sex etc.

Ours is the path of infinite pleasure where the mind is channelised towards the Supreme. Everyone should know this very clear-cut guideline. If someone has reached into AMPS without knowing this then they should contemplate this idea and embrace this dharmic value.

An ideal widower, or divorcee, or single margii

Suppose someone is a member of the bar (law) association: To join one must have a law degree and follow the code of conduct. Not just anyone can join; those not practicing law are not part of the bar association. Furthermore, one must adhere to the ethics and principles of the bar, otherwise they will no longer be part of the bar association.

Same is the case with Ananda Marga: So long as one follows the universal tenets as given by Baba, then that person is an Ananda Margii, otherwise not. It is a very straight-forward equation.

Supporting gayism is not broad-mindedness

Some people think supporting gayism is equated with being open-minded. In that case, in the general society, all kinds of behaviours should be accepted in the name of open-mindedness like prostitution, or sexually involving with animals like cats, dogs, hogs (pigs), horses, bulls, donkeys, and camels. Remember, surrendering to animal vrttis is shameful. One should behave as a glorified human being, not a beast.

So supporting gayism is not an isolated case. Here we have to remember this topic is a matter of bhagavata dharma. That is our measuring rod. Accepting vices like animal sex etc and gay relations is not broad-mindedness but rather low-mindedness.

We love all

This letter is related with all gay, including LGBTQ, activities – as well as those sexually engaged with animals. In Ananda Marga, we love everyone – all humans irrespective of their gender or sexual preference, or any other quality. We love everyone: Diseased persons, healthy persons, serial killers, and sex addicts – all human beings (virtuous, great people; good; and bad), as well as all kinds of animals and plants, even poisonous snakes. We love all as they are the progeny of Parama Purusa. And we should help all goad the mind in their right direction whereby their actions are in line with bhagavad dharma.

Conclusion

Essentially there are two key points to bear in mind:
(1) Being an Ananda Margii is based on conduct, not birth;
(2) Ours is the path of Supreme Beatitude, not mundane indulgence.

Rationally vs sentimentally

Those who are sane and balanced think in a calm way. Talking in a highly emotional or irrational way is not the work of an Ananda Margii. It is the work of dogmatic people who are emotionally attached to proceed without thinking rationally. Ananda Margiis are rational. So those with emotional attachment for homosexuals (either gays or lesbians) are requested to think rationally.

Homosexuality: The Mental Illness That Went Away

According to the American Psychiatric Association, until 1974 homosexuality was a mental illness.  Freud had alluded to homosexuality numerous times in his writings, and had concluded that paranoia and homosexuality were inseparable.  Other psychiatrists wrote copiously on the subject, and homosexuality was “treated” on a wide basis.  There was little or no suggestion within the psychiatric community that homosexuality might be conceptualized as anything other than a mental illness that needed to be treated.  And, of course, homosexuality was listed as a mental illness in DSM-II.  (The DSM – Diagnostic and Statistical Manual – is the APA’s standard classification of their so-called mental disorders, and is used by many mental health workers in the USA and other countries.)

Then in 1970 gay activists protested against the APA convention in San Francisco.  These scenes were repeated in 1971, and as people came out of the “closet” and felt empowered politically and socially, the APA directorate became increasingly uncomfortable with their stance.  In 1973 the APA’s nomenclature task force recommended that homosexuality be declared normal.  The trustees were not prepared to go that far, but they did vote to remove homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses by a vote of 13 to 0, with 2 abstentions.  This decision was confirmed by a vote of the APA membership, and homosexuality was no longer listed in the seventh edition of DSM-II, which was issued in 1974.

What’s noteworthy about this is that the removal of homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses was not triggered by some scientific breakthrough.  There was no new fact or set of facts that stimulated this major change.  Rather, it was the simple reality that gay people started to kick up a fuss.  They gained a voice and began to make themselves heard.  And the APA reacted with truly astonishing speed.  And with good reason. They realized intuitively that a protracted battle would have drawn increasing attention to the spurious nature of their entire taxonomy.  So they quickly “cut loose” the gay community and forestalled any radical scrutiny of the DSM system generally.

The APA claimed that they made the change because new research showed that most homosexual people were content with their sexual orientation, and that as a group, they appeared to be as well-adjusted as heterosexual people.  I suggest, however, that these research findings were simply the APA’s face-saver.  For centuries, perhaps millennia, homosexual people had clung to their sexual orientation despite the most severe persecution and vilification, including imprisonment and death.  Wouldn’t this suggest that they were happy with their orientation?  Do we need research to confirm this?  And if we do, shouldn’t we also need research to confirm that heterosexual people are happy with their orientation?  And if poor adjustment is critical to a diagnosis of mental illness, where was the evidence of this that justified making homosexuality a mental illness in the first place?
Also noteworthy is the fact that the vote of the membership was by no means unanimous.  Only about 55% of the members who voted favored the change.

Of course, the APA put the best spin they could on these events.  The fact is that they altered their taxonomy because of intense pressure from the gay community, but they claimed that the change was prompted by research findings.

So all the people who had this terrible “illness” were “cured” overnight – by a vote!  I remember as a boy reading of the United Nations World Health Organization’s decision to eradicate smallpox.  This was in 1967, and by 1977, after a truly staggering amount of work, the disease was a thing of the past.  Why didn’t they just take a vote?  Because smallpox is a real illness.  The human problems listed in DSM are not.  It’s that simple.  You can say that geese are swans – but in reality they’re still geese.

The overall point being that the APA’s taxonomy is nothing more than self-serving nonsense.  Real illnesses are not banished by voting or by fiat, but by valid science and hard work.  There are no mental illnesses.  Rather, there are people.  We have problems; we have orientations; we have habits; we have perspectives.  Sometimes we do well, other times we make a mess of things.  We are complicated.  Our feelings fluctuate with our circumstances, from the depths of despondency to the pinnacles of bliss.  And perhaps, most of all, we are individuals.  DSM’s facile and self-serving attempt to medicalize human problems is an institutionalized insult to human dignity.  The homosexual community has managed to liberate themselves from psychiatric oppression.  But there are millions of people worldwide who are still being damaged, stigmatized, and disempowered by this pernicious system to this day. Margiis decide their BP

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, “The sadvipras (those who are well-established in Sixteen Points) of a bhukti must elect one bhukti pradhána from among themselves. The bhukti pradhána may or may not be an ácárya/á or a táttvika, but must be an educated family person.” (1)

Question: What is one of the key differences between the pre-1990 BP Manual and the 1997 Fake BP Manual?

Answer: Please know that the system is that margiis will elect the bhakti pradhan (BP) as per the guidelines of the original BP manual. Wts have no role in suggesting or voting in the BP election. But the Fake BP manual states that Wts select the candidate and then margiis will elect that person as BP. And if Wts don't like the outcome they will arbitrarily remove the BP and put anyone else, without margiis having any input.

Ananda Marga ideology states, "What is Krpá? In Saḿskrta, the root verb is “kr”. “Kr” means to help one in one’s progress even when one does not deserve it. So if one deserves it, that is, if one has the qualification to get oneself fully developed and fully exalted, then in that case there is no necessity of krpá, there is no necessity of help from Táraka Brahma. But when one does not deserve it, when one has not got the qualification for development, and still one is helped, that sort of help is called “krpa”." (1)

Uncivilized Action Of President John F. Kennedy

"In November 1961, President John F. Kennedy authorized the start of Operation Ranch Hand, the codename for the U.S. Air Force's herbicide program in Vietnam. Agent Orange was manufactured for the U.S. Department of Defense primarily by Monsanto Corporation and Dow Chemical. It was given its name from the color of the orange-striped barrels in which it was shipped, and was by far the most widely used of the so-called "Rainbow Herbicides". The 2,4,5-T used to produce Agent Orange was contaminated with 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzodioxin (TCDD), an extremely toxic dioxin compound. In some areas, TCDD concentrations in soil and water were hundreds of times greater than the levels considered safe by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency." (Wikipedia)

"While in Vietnam, the veterans were told not to worry, and were persuaded the chemical was harmless. After returning home, Vietnam veterans began to suspect their ill health or the instances of their wives having miscarriages or children born with birth defects might be related to Agent Orange and the other toxic herbicides to which they were exposed in Vietnam. Veterans began to file claims in 1977 to the Department of Veterans Affairs for disability payments for health care for conditions they believed were associated with exposure to Agent Orange, or more specifically, dioxin, but their claims were denied." According to Baba’s teaching, this action of exposing troops and common folk to Agent Orange is not supported by logic and reasoning. One’s sense of rationality is not being used because applying the noxious chemical Agent Orange is a crime against humanity. That is why this particular action is uncivilised. Although JFK was the President of the US, it does not matter - his action is uncivilised. In other avenues of life this person may be civilised, but on this specific act he is not civilised. The above is just one example. The general rule is that if any behaviour is not supported by rationality then that given act is uncivilised.
