Bogus things in Ananda Marga magazine

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Shiva had only two arms, not four or six. Párvatii also had two arms." (1)

So in His above teaching, Sadguru Baba points out how Lord Shiva has 2 arms, not four arms or six arms.


Cowardice approach: surrendering to Hindu dogma

Here below is the photo from the Patna Prout magazine (Hindi) April 2016. In this image, Lord Shiva is depicted as having four arms. Ananda Marga philosophy rejects this dogma and states that Lord Shiva had two arms. These Prout Hindi magazine editors are compromising our Ananda Marga ideals in order to appease Hindu fundamentalists. There is a Hindu dogma that Lord Shiva has four arms and the Prout Hindi editor has surrendered to this Hindu dogma and accepted this myth that Lord Shiva has four arms. It is unfortunate.

Making Lord Shiva as mythological figure: These Prout Hindi in-charges are cowards. Not only that, they are committing a terrible sin. The editor is taking Lord Shiva who is a veritable personality of history and turning Him into a figure of mythology.

Baba took great efforts to give dictation on thousands of pages of Ananda Marga philosophy and now, one after another, certain dirty people are destroying His divine teachings. Please carefully see the photo. In this Fake Lord Shiva photo, Lord Shiva is depicted as having four arms. But that is just Hindu mythology.

Here below is the photo from the Patna Prout magazine Hindi - (April 2016, page 16).

Suffice to say here that the main aim of our Ananda Marga magazines like Prout Hindi is to propagate the ideals of Ananda Marga. Hence the Patna Prout Hindi magazine should be fully dedicated to presenting the ideals of Ananda Marga philosophy.

But on many occasions we see that the editors are doing the exact opposite. See this above photo from page 16 of the Prout Hindi magazine (April 2016) where they adopt the ways of the dogmatic Hindus and portray Lord Shiva as having four arms.


To appease Hindu dogmatic believers

The main reason they are doing this is is to appease Hindu dogmatic believers that - “We are aligned with you.” Yet by this way those Patna Prout Hindi magazine editors are compromising with the teachings of Ananda Marga.

Sadly, when they have no courage to express this simple point that Lord Shiva did not have four arms, then how are they going to fight against more involved Hindus dogmas & exploitation.


Few other dogmas related with this photo

In the above photo, Lord Shiva is shown wearing a crown. And just above the crown to the left is a crescent moon. Plus Lord Shiva is shown as having a third eye-ball on his forehead. And that eye opens and shuts vertically. These points - i.e. the crescent moon and the third eye-ball - are dogmatic. Our Ananda Marga philosophy wholly rejects these dogmas. Such things have nothing to do with the historical Shiva.

So see how the photo portrays a birth defect where there is a third eye which runs vertically on the forehead of the fake Lord Shiva. This is also one Hindu dogma. Ananda Marga philosophy rejects portraying Lord Shiva in this way. Here is the next hypocrisy.

There is a crescent moon on Lord Shiva’s left temple. This is also dogma. According to Baba this is all bogus - Lord Shiva does not have a crescent moon on his temple.
Plus this Fake Shiva is pressing His feet on the demon Muyalaka, a dwarf holding a cobra.

And here again Baba reminds us that Lord Shiva has only two arms

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "No goddess having eight or ten arms can be the wife of Shiva: He had only two arms." (2)

Sadly, when the Patna Prout Hindi magazine editors have no courage to express this simple point that Lord Shiva did not have four arms, then how are they going to fight against more involved Hindus dogmas & exploitation.

What if this happened to you

If someone portrays you in a distorted manner - i.e. as having a severe birth defect of four arms - and furthermore presents you as a mythological figure for their own political gain, then surely you will not appreciate this.

“The opportunists tried in the past, are trying at present and will try even in the future to fulfil their narrow desires by keeping the human race disunited. By severely reproaching this opportunistic craftiness through your noble deeds, you draw nigh the unknown strangers living far away and build a healthy world-based human family. Ignoring the brute forces, the sky-kissing arrogance, hypocrisy, immorality and glib outbursts of the conceited people, go ahead towards your cherished goal. The blessing of Parama Puruśa shall be with you alone.” (Ananda Vanii #40)

Note 1: True Ananda Vaniis have a number whereas Fake Ananda Vaniis do not - just as a fake car license plate has no number. By this way, you can easily recognise a Fake Ananda Vanii.

== Section 3: Important Teaching ==

If Hinduism had not practiced idol worship

Prout philosophy states, “The second inviolable principle is that people should not be forcibly converted from one religion to another. People will not leave a religion if it is able to guide them properly on the path of Dharma….”

Prout philosophy states, “There is a well-known story about a Zamindar from Bengal called Kalachand Roy, later Kalapahar, who was a follower of Kálii. He worshipped a stone image of Kálii with great devotion. At that time some invaders, belonging to another religion, started a campaign to destroy all Hindu temples and deities. When Kalachand’s temple was about to be destroyed, he prayed to Kálii saying, “Mother, I do not have the power to protect you, so please protect yourself.” But how can a stone idol protect itself? In due course his temple and idol were destroyed, and Kalachand lost faith in Kálii. He was converted to the religion of the invaders, and became known as Sheik Kaluddin Khan. He launched his own campaign of terror throughout Bengal and Orissa and forcibly converted people to his new religion. He disfigured deities, destroyed temples and threatened people with physical violence to convert them. Once he travelled to Kashi and set about converting a widow who also happened to be his elder sister. She refused to succumb to his threats, and scolded him mercilessly for his bad behaviour.”

Prout philosophy states, “This made him realize the error of his ways, and he abandoned his campaign. If Hinduism had not practiced idol worship, Kalachand would not have been converted. Because of his forcible conversion, Kalachand became extremely hostile towards Hinduism and launched his own campaign of terror against it. A religion [in real sense dharma] should be so strong that no one can be converted from it.” (1)

Note - in the last para the term religion was used but the intention is dharma - Baba is talking about dharma, because as we know all the religious have defects.
