MAHAPRAYAN IN THE USA

Namaskar,
Below please find the announcement of the mahaprayan Mahaprayana (death) of Mr. Ratan Baduya. He was just an ordinary man - a common citizen - of Bengal who died in April 2014 in New York USA. So when he died they announced and organised his mahaprayan.

This shows that the concept of "mahaprayan" is something very mundane; it signifies the death of a human being; it is a common phenomenon across the Indian subcontinent.

So the mahaprayan program is not something exclusive; rather the program of mahaprayan is everywhere. Why? Because it is widely observed for the death of a regular citizen.

So it is neither something special, nor unique, nor divine. Nor is it lofty or godly. And certainly it is not for Taraka Brahma.


The term mahaprayan is directly used in the above article that is written in Bengali. It is the last word of the title in purple. And the mahaprayan word also appears many times throughout the article itself.

TREATING BABA AS MORTAL, IS SINFUL

Remember the program of mahaprayan Mahaprayana is used to indicate the death of an ordinary human being who has made their departure from this world. That is why such a gathering is not done for Taraka Brahma because He did not depart - He is the eternal Parama Purusa. So the mahaprayan Mahaprayana is for regular humans, i.e. mortals. And to apply this to that vast, timeless Entity - the Parama Purusa Baba - is sinful.

"The one formless, beginningless and infinite Parama Brahma (Supreme Consciousness) is the only entity to be attained by living beings – That alone is Jagat Guru (the Supreme preceptor), That alone has revealed Brahmavidyá (intuitional science) to us through the medium of the name and form of Anandamúrtijii. Unit beings must be made to appreciate Its majesty." (CC-2, Sadhana, pt #1a)

  331, तोमारइ भुवने, तोमारइ भवने....
भावार्थ

बाबा, हे परमपुरुष! तुम्हारे विश्व में, तुम्हारे घर में बैठे हुए, तुम्हारे दिव्य आगमन की प्रत्याशा  में मेरे दिन निकलते जा रहे हैं। तुम्हारी याद में, तुम्हारे पदध्वनि के आभास से अंधेरी रातों में भी प्रकाश  चमकता है।

 तुम्हारे रूपरंग से, तुम्हारी सुगंध से, तुम्हारे धूप-दीप से, तुम्हारी कृपा वर्षा से, तुम्हारे स्नेह से, तुम्हारे वीणा के रसीले स्वरों वाले गीत से, तुम्हारी मुक्त मुस्कान से, मेरे निराश  जीवन में आशा  और आनन्द पुनर्जीवित हो उठते है।

फूलों की सुगंध से, तुम्हारे पवित्र स्पर्श  के आनन्द से मेरा जीवन प्रचुर आनन्द से भर गया है। आनन्द के उन्माद से, सुस्पष्ट विवेचना से, लयबद्ध नृत्य और हृदय से अनुभूत आनन्द से, मेरा मन अमृत के प्रवााह में बहने लगता है। हे परमपुरुष बाबा! मैं केवल तुम्हीं को चाहता हॅूं। तुम्हारे दिव्य आगमन की आशा में मेरे दिन निकलते जा रहे हैं।

Bhāvārtha

bābā, hē paramapuruṣa! Tumhārē viśva mēṁ, tumhārē ghara mēṁ baiṭhē hu'ē, tumhārē divya āgamana kī pratyāśā mēṁ mērē dina nikalatē jā rahē haiṁ. Tumhārī yāda mēṁ, tumhārē padadhvani kē ābhāsa sē andhērī rātōṁ mēṁ bhī prakāśa camakatā hai.

Tumhārē rūparaṅga sē, tumhārī sugandha sē, tumhārē dhūpa-dīpa sē, tumhārī kr̥pā varṣā sē, tumhārē snēha sē, tumhārē vīṇā kē rasīlē svarōṁ vālē gīta sē, tumhārī mukta muskāna sē, mērē nirāśa jīvana mēṁ āśā aura ānanda punarjīvita hō uṭhatē hai.

Phūlōṁ kī sugandha sē, tumhārē pavitra sparśa kē ānanda sē mērā jīvana pracura ānanda sē bhara gayā hai. Ānanda kē unmāda sē, suspaṣṭa vivēcanā sē, layabad'dha nr̥tya aura hr̥daya sē anubhūta ānanda sē, mērā mana amr̥ta kē pravāāha mēṁ bahanē lagatā hai. Hē paramapuruṣa bābā! Maiṁ kēvala tumhīṁ kō cāhatā hĕūṁ. Tumhārē divya āgamana kī āśā mēṁ mērē dina nikalatē jā rahē haiṁ.
