BÁBÁ
Dada G. Propagates Avidyá Tantra Vashiikarańa
Namaskár,
On page six of the June 2016 issue of Ánanda Yuga magazine, Sadguru Bábá’s discourse entitled Iishvariya Sampark Va Manaviya Pracheshta has been published with a highly objectionable distortion. The printed discourse lists Vashiikarańa as the final step of spiritual development. Vashiikarańa is a crude practice of Avidyá Tantra. The editorial team of Ánanda Yuga magazine has projected a crude siddhi of Vashiikarańa as the final leg of the spiritual journey of a sádhaka and that too by distorting Sadguru Bábá’s discourse.
Following
is the scan copy of the discourse published on page six of the June
2016 issue of Ánanda Yuga magazine. See the word underlined with red
color in the following scan image. The editors have distorted Sadguru
Bábá’s discourse and are projecting वशीकरण (Vashiikarańa) as the fourth step of spiritual evolution.
In the above scan copy the word वशीकरण (Vashiikarańa) has been underlined with red color. The distortion वशीकरण (Vashiikarańa) is highlighted by the editors as the final step of spiritual evolution.
Vashiikarańa is a crude avidyá siddhi
The meaning of वशीकरण (Vashiikarańa) is to control others’ minds, often by using crude avidyá tántrik practices.
Such a practice does not lead to the welfare (kalyáń) of others, or of
the practitioner himself/herself. Thus, the practice of Vashiikarańa is merely a waste of a precious human frame.
Bábá says -
"In
Tantra the endeavour to establish control over matter or over external
forces is called avidyá sádhaná. And the practice which leads to
self-realization is called vidyá sádhaná. And that branch of Tantra
which is neither vidyá sádhaná nor avidyá sádhaná is called
upavidyá sádhaná. Only vidyá sádhaná contributes to the welfare of
humanity; the other two practices are merely a waste of time. Márańa,
uccát́ana, sammohan, váshiikárańa, etc., come within the definition
of avidyá sádhaná. The practice of avidyá leads to degradation."

Conclusion
The editorial team of Ánanda Yuga magazine has projected a crude siddhi of Vashiikarańa as the final leg of the spiritual journey of a sádhaka and that too by distorting Sadguru Bábá’s discourse.
This discourse has been distorted by our Ananda Yuga editors; now it gives the false notion that the final goal of a sádhaka is to attain Avidyá tántrik siddhis, which is blatantly against the teachings of Ánanda Márga.
In Him,
Bhakti

For Detailed Study
Avidyá Tántriks use several techniques to control the minds of others for selfish gains. It is not uncommon in India to find tántrik’s (following the path of Avidyá) and charlatans who claim to have powers to control the mind of other people. Many people think that by using Vashiikarańa they
can control other’s minds to achieve petty selfish gains such as
getting business deals, getting married to a person of choice, and
winning court cases. Such a siddhi is very crude and efforts to attain
that is a colossal waste of the opportunity of spiritual elevation that
exists in a human frame.
Bábá says -
"Bringing
somebody under one’s control by means of a mantra or a dravyaguńa
[some plant or other natural substance which projects psychic effects],
or by wearing a squirrel’s tail like a ring on the little finger of the
left hand and chanting the mantra hriiḿ kriiḿ klu, or by feeding that
tail to a person in a chánci pán [a betel preparation], is known as
vashiikarańa. But remember that this action must be accompanied by
purashcarańa [raising the kuńd́alinii, the dormant force] as per
Avidyá Tantric style. When under the influence of vashiikarańa, a
person becomes completely controlled and behaves like a servant." (2)
