Baba
Example #3 : Rudránanda a
wily offender
Namaskar,
In this part, with pictures and excerpts from Baba’s discourse, how Rudránanda is plagiarizing from the discourse Humanity Is at the Threshold of a New Era will become clear. The links to the first and the second part in this series of letters are provided at the end of this letter, and serve as a reminder of Rudránanda’s psychic disease of stealing.

Petty attempt at self-glorification
The subject of this letter deals with how Dada Rudránanda is plagiarizing Baba's discourses blatantly in an article published in Prajina Bharati, a magazine published by AMPS. Here below with the help of numerous examples from Rudránanda's article published in the Sept 2018 issue of this magazine, and corresponding references from Baba's discourses, one can clearly come to know the lowly mentality of the Dada Rudránanada of Ranchi. He has copied words from Baba's discourses verbatim with no credit to the originator of all this knowledge, i.e Baba Himself. This is just a petty attempt at self-glorification.
This letter is the third one in a series of letters that will expose Rudránanda's thievery. In the first part of this series, it was shown how Rudránanda stole Baba’s words from the discourse The Process of Human Progress published in Ánanda Vacanámrtam-7. In the second part, Rudránanda stealing from the discourses Pseudo-Spirituality and Neohumanism, Perfect Spirituality and Neohumanism and Humanity Is at the Threshold of a New Era was illustrated.
Preserve His teachings
For every bhakta, áptavákya, the teachings that come directly from Parama Puruśa, is immensely valuable and elevates one's mind to subtler spiritual realms taking the mind closer to Guru, our beloved Baba. Áptavákya is indeed, one of the many ways in which Baba communicates with His devotees. All of Ánanda Marga Philosophy is áptavákya. It is Baba's way of guiding humanity forward in the path of all-round progress. Every sádhaka feels a connection to Baba when he reads Ánanda Marga Philosophy, which Baba has graciously bestowed upon humanity. By this, we all understand, how important it is to preserve the authenticity and sanctity of Guru's words by not distorting, misinterpreting or plagiarizing them to achieve one's own selfish motives, for the sake of earning prestige and accolades or to misguide others.

List of culprtis: bootlickers of Rudránanda
Along with Rudrananda, the following persons are also culprits in deceiving Ananda Margiis and plagiarizing Baba's articles, printing them in their leader Rudrananda's name so as to gain more prestige and reward from Rudrananda: Madhuvratananda, Hariishananda, Satyashrayananda,, Nabhatiitananda, Rakeshananda, Amaleshananda, Puspendrananda, Pranaveshananda.
This plagiarism should be stopped. To that end, if Margiis can write to the below email address and express their view on this, it will be deeply appreciated:

Plagiarism = Stealing: Against Asteya
As we know, Ásteya is one of the tenets of Niyama and it must be adhered to at any cost to stay on the path of Dharma. Non-Stealing does not just mean not committing physical theft; it also means not to mentally think of stealing what belongs to someone else. It also means not stealing the intellectual property of others. It also means not claiming ownership of knowledge emanating from other people or sources. This type of stealing, i.e. copying others works without giving them the due credit is plagiarism and goes completely against Ásteya. This is exactly what Dada Rudránanda has done in his article.
Juggling words will not help social progress
Ananda Marga Philosophy says, "“Asteya” means “non-stealing” – not stealing physically or mentally; not cheating physically or mentally." (See Ref A)
Ananda Marga Philosophy says, “The artist or sáhityika who assumes the responsibility of leading humanity along the path to light from the caverns of darkness will have to heed the road signs on that path. It is not possible to guide others with mere cheap, superficial knowledge, like a half-baked pandit who reads a half-a-dozen books and then spouts a few mouthfuls of grandiloquence, and who has obtained a doctorate by plagiarizing others’ works. Rather it is necessary for the sáhityika or artist to have a keen and vigorous insight, without which all their endeavours will prove fruitless. Merely juggling words or depicting defects in society will not satisfy the hunger of the human mind – and such creations of art are indeed valueless for social progress as well. ” (See Ref B)
Rudránanda stole out of greed for prestige
In Rudránanda's article, he has stolen paragraphs after paragraphs from Baba's discourses without quoting the source and has presented them as his own work, emanating from his limited mind. Is this what a sanyásii in orange robes entrusted with the responsibility of the welfare of an organization and upliftment of society should be doing? Is this not an unconscionable crime? Moreover, is this not an act of disrespect to Guru? Rudránanda's thievery surely is a sign of cheating psychology. Common thieves in the society, sometimes are forced to steal out of a dire need to satisfy a need. They may steal food to satisfy their hunger. They may steal money to provide the basic necessities for their families. These acts also go against the code of Ásteya. However, Rudránanda's act of stealing from Baba's discourses to present them as his own work, to enhance his own prestige is a bigger sin, a bigger pátaka, than the act of common thieves. It is very evident from the pictures shown below that Rudránanda has simply copied Baba's words, changed a few sentences here and there, interspersed them with a few of his own words and presented the article as if he had great thoughts to share about Ananda Marga teachings.

Thievery in Prajina Bharati
The paragraphs within the red box, with a marker (9) in the below picture highlights the plagiarized paragraphs. Please carefully read the contents of the highlighted paragraphs and compare them with the excerpt from Baba's discourses marked (9) below the picture. Plagiarized sections in the excerpts are also highlighted in yellow. Rudránanda stole them for his article. The below picture shows one whole page of the article marked as (9), completely stolen from the discourse Humanity Is at the Threshold of a New Era, Neohumanism in a Nutshell -1.
"[The age] moved on. Humanity passed through several transmutations, through several changes, and through many metamorphoses. Human ideas underwent changes as a result of the development of human cells – protoplasmic cells in the realm of physicality, and nerve-cells in the realm of intellectuality. Some people came forward who became the leaders of the society. Hero-worship started – [the worship of heroism] in human structure. And there came the first phase, the rudimental phase, in human socio-economico-cultural life. [And a great acceleration] of spirituality came; human values increased. Cardinal human values underwent a bit of assessment. Human existence came upon a new era. There was hardly any economic life, but there was a wee bit of cultural and social life.
Metamorphosis went on. Age after age came; era after era came; so many small and big epoch-making events took place – the collection of these became the history of prehistoric men. This was the first phase of primitive history. Then finally the reign of intellectuality started. Along with intellectuality there was certainly much intellectual extravaganza. Dogma replaced simplicity: the social life was goaded by dogma in the name of so many faiths and so many creeds and so many cults. Those creeds and faiths and cults had nothing to do with the collective progress of human beings; they did much harm to our collective body, not only in a particular corner of the earth, but in the entire universe. And the main structure of the society, rather, the bulk of the society, moved on goaded by these dogmas, and this movement of dogma was known as the mainstream of life. Those who did not accept this, those who were guided by reasoning and rationality, were treated as unwanted beings.
Now dogma is fast being replaced by rationality and reason. Human beings with their developed brains, developed nerve systems and developed nerve-cells started thinking that we are not to do something for a particular tribe or a particular clan or a particular nationality; we are to do whatever we are to do, whatever we must do, for the entire humanity of the Cosmos.
But even that is not sufficient; even that will not suffice in preserving this human stock. In this mid-portion of the Cenozoic Age, we are to think once more what we are to do. Is humanity the summum bonum of existence? No, no, no, certainly not. The universe does not consist only of humans; other animals, other creatures, other plants, also have the right to live. So our universe is not only the universe of humans but the universe of all – just now I said, for all created beings, for all living beings, and for both the animate and the inanimate universe.
So ours is the age of Neohumanism – humanism supplying elixir to all, one and all. We are for all, and with everything existent we are to build up a new society, a Neohumanistic society. So we must not waste our time. And if we are late in doing our duty, the dark shadow of complete destruction will overpower our existence. We should be conscious of this; we should be cautious of this; we must not waste a single moment of our valuable existence. So what I said just now is that now humanity is at the threshold of a new era. And so many epoch-making events, so many annals of history, are to be created by you boys and you girls. Be ready to shoulder that responsibility of ages to come. You boys and you girls, what do you say? Are you ready for your revised duties and responsibilities?....
So many waves of so many feelings have been emanated from the nucleus of this Cosmological Order. Each and every existence has its own peculiar wavelength and peculiar rhythmic order; but when the movement is towards that Supreme Unity, all those heterogeneities will become one. So many colours moving on, moving on, with so many rhythms, with so many wavelengths – but when it comes to the supreme culminating point, all the rhythms will be united – there will be complete unison. And when there will be complete unison, in that Desideratum (as I told you, there cannot be “desiderata” – it always remains in the singular number, it is a singular entity) all waves will also attain singularity, there will not remain any heterogeneity; everything will become homogeneous in the final point of this universal march of ours." How to illustrate Guru's teachings
First class disciples of Baba, use the Guru's words to spread Guru's glory. It is Guru's words that bring eternal glory to humanity and to the person who utters them. Such a devotee will never find the need to satisfy his small self by stealing or plagiarising his Guru's words. All glory belongs to the Guru and this thought brings eternal bliss. It is only a third class disciple, who steals Guru's teachings and claims them to be one's own to glorify one's small "I". Baba's teaching should always be presented with full reverence to Sadguru by citing references carefully. The source of the teaching, the name of the discourse, chapter or verse from which the teaching was taken, everything should be presented in detail. One must always be careful not to misquote the Guru. Guru's teaching should be explained to the masses by giving full credit to the Supreme Source of all knowledge, Shrii Shrii Anandamúrtii ji. One should never use the Guru's words to portray one's own self as a so-called intellectual or jiṋánii.
Ananda Marga Philosophy says, "Your fundamental basis should be prapatti. “Everything happens as per His desire and not a single blade of grass can move without His permission”. By the Grace of, by the compassion of Parama Puruśa, you have received the ápta vákya guidelines, and it is your duty to adhere strictly to the teachings and gospel of ápta vákya. A jiṋánii has no future." (See Ref C)
