Namaskar,
Below is Santosanand’s favorite picture which he found in some dark place and stuck on the cover of Bhakta Samaja magazine to show his foul smelly mental taste.
Caryacarya states, “While going out of their house, women should wear simple and decent clothes and cover their bodies properly.” (Caryacarya-1, Dress)
Degraded people use females for advertising
In materialist society, women are treated as existing for males' sexual enjoyment. That's why in every product, in their advertisements they use females. A similar thing is done here in the magazine by putting a female on the cover. This was completely unnecessary. The duty of the Bhakta Samaj magazine is to fight against pseudoculture and in favor of women's sanctity. But they lost their dharma and did just the opposite, following instead the approach which common magazines follow. We cannot condemn those common magazines, because they have no ideals. But the editors of Bhakta Samaja have such ideals, which they fail to remember.
Sexual image on cover page to boost sales
Depiction of the picture of a female youth on the cover has nothing to do with Ananda Marga or bhakti. It appears that the Bhakta Samaja magazine is seeking sexual appeal akin to fashionable yoga magazines across the globe. What is the need for this? Blame goes to the editor Santosananda for presenting a wrong message that has nothing to do with bhakti, after which this magazine is named. Further, the person on the cover page is garbed in pseudoculture dress and is reminiscent of just a model industry type of photo, but on the cover of a spiritual magazine. And just below the photo is written, "भक्त का अवश्य आचरणीय" -- "Must do for Bhaktas". Thus the cover page is highly objectionable on ideological grounds and should never have been selected by the magazine editor Santosananda.
Conclusion
The cover page of the magazine Bhakta Samaj, September 2018 issue depicts an ideologically objectionable image of a teenage sister sitting in wrong sadhana posture in the attire of the model. This is inappropriate for the cover page of a Yoga magazine affiliated to Ananda Marga.
In Him
Bhakti
In Caryacarya Baba says that when women go out in public, they should fully cover their body in sentient dress. This very magazine is breaking that simple code.
Blunder # 2 of Dada Santosananda
Dada is teaching a wrong style padmasana posture. Keeping the palms down during sadhana’ is a fundamental mistake. Guru guides that sadhana should be done with the palms facing up. Additionally, the right leg should be below the left leg. The depiction is wrong on both the counts.
Baba says, “Padmásana is the posture of sitting with the right ankle over the lift thigh and the left ankle over the right thigh, the tongue pushing the teeth out. In padmásana alone, the vision can be fixed on trikuti – the middle point between the eyebrows. Just as the lotus blossoms forth in water, so also in this posture the mind tends to evolve. That is why this posture is termed padmásana (padma – lotus, ásana – posture). This is the best ásana for meditation.” (1)
The sadest part is that Santosananda is close to 90 years of age. And his mental liking is not at all that of a sadhu/Avt. Rather, it is just like that of a dirty-minded spoiled teenage boy. And that liking is displayed here wtih this image on the cover of the magazine of which Santosananda is the editor.
