Bad story
Note: The basic requirement to understand this story is reverence to Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji.

The below story portrays Sadguru Baba in a very self-centered and arrogant manner. The writer has done a terrible job. Hundreds of thousands of people came in Baba’s direct contact, but nobody can say they have seen such an occurrence where Baba is trying to prove His greatness to any extent.
Yet in the below story, Baba is shown to be:
A) Boasting about His predictions;This is the grotesque and abominable way in which the writer has projected Baba. This is a preposterous way to depict Him.
B) Forcing a skeptic to write the prediction in his diary;
C) Asking the skeptic again and again about his diary to belittle the skeptic;
D) Gloating after the incident happened - and taunting the skeptic to assert and prove His own greatness

Here begins the story from the JY book - this story is far from the truth and seriously undermines Baba’s greatness:

That evening, Aniruddha Mukhya accompanied Baba to the tiger’s grave. When they reached the street lamp at the edge of the field, Baba stopped and asked Aniruddha if he had a piece of paper. “Note down. Ninety days from today China will attack India. When you get home note it in your diary.” Aniruddha scribbled the note but he told Baba that he [the skeptic] didn’t believe it.
“Anandamurti says they will attack,” Baba replied. “Believe it. Did you note down the date? Good.”
...
On the nineteenth, Aniruddha was again in Jamalpur for field walk. “Where is your diary?”
Baba asked him. When he told Baba that he had left it at home, Baba scolded him and told him to take out a piece of paper. “Note down. Tomorrow is the ninetieth day; the Chinese will attack.”
Still somewhat skeptical, Aniruddha...asked Baba if it were really possible.
“Wait until the morning. Then you will have your answer.”
The next morning, when Aniruddha woke up, his family was listening to news of the attack on the radio. He hurried back to Jamalpur that evening to see Baba.
“Where is your newspaper?” Baba called out when he saw him. Aniruddha held it out to show Baba.
“Did they attack or not?”
“Yes, Baba.”
“Did you check your diary? Was it the ninetieth day or not?”
“Yes, Baba.”
“Now do you have faith in Anandamurti? When I say something is going to happen, it will happen.” (From the JY Book, pg 279-80)

This concludes the story from the JY book - this story is completely bogus and far from the truth.
Conclusion
It is sad that the so-called storywriter has gone to such lengths to undermine Baba’s greatness and prove Him as a narcissist by writing false things. This goes against all human psychology and a creates a bitter taste in the reader’s mind about Baba. Readers will be irritated and disgusted by this fallacious portrayal of how Baba is flaunting His own greatness and rubbing another’s nose on the hard ground. Yet that is the erroneous and lowly way in which Devashiish has portrayed Baba.

About the above bogus story
In various discourses Sadguru Baba teaches us not to do and die for one’s own prestige, i.e. name and fame. And verily, in His own personal life, Sadguru Baba is the essence of humility and nobility. There are countless examples where Baba hid the greatness of His personality and gave credit to others etc. He does not like to highlight Himself or prove His own superiority etc. Unfortunately, in the below story, Baba is depicted as someone completed engrossed in His own prestige and greatness.
Only those who are lowly people try to prove their greatness. They says things like, “Look what I have done”, “nobody can do it better than I can” etc. But in the case of Sadguru Baba it is just opposite.
However, in this above account, the storywriter has depicted Baba in a completely bogus way; he tried to show Baba as being a narcissist who is self-engrossed. This is a preposterous way to depict Him - and make his image as one who is self- obsessed and full of vanity. Such behaviour is not even seen in the general society; nobody does like this. And if someone does act in such a brash and brazen manner, then people will form a very poor opinion about that person.
This bogus story is from "Jamalpur Years" (2010) by Devashiish / Deva'shiis'a / a.k.a. Donald Acosta. So Devashiish is the one who has portrayed Guru in this very awful manner. It is quite evident that he lacks the requisite bhakti to do the job of creating a proper book.

Another error: Use vivek - not blindly follow
Here is one other point about this story. In the very last line, Baba is imposing the edict that others should blindly follow Him. Yet all throughout the vast gamut of His sublime teachings, Sadguru Baba guides us to use our vivek and rationality, and not blindly follow anyone. So this stands as yet another way in which Devashish has blatantly undermined Sadguru’s Baba magnanimous personality.
Common occurrence - ludicrous portrayal
Baba is Parama Purusa so this is not something strange that He talked about the unfolding of future incidents. But the way this is presented in the story is preposterous. Baba did not make the prediction in the way the storyteller has described. That is the main point of objection.
As we all know, telling about future events is very ordinary for Baba, just as we talk about our basic day to day things. So no one would get overly excited that Baba forecasted a particular happening. It is just like if the sun shines then no one gets “ooh” and “ahh” over the sunshine. Because It is an ordinary occurrence. Same is the case with Baba. This type of prediction was nothing for margiis as they know that everything unfolds within Baba’s mind so He knows everything. This type of thing was not new.
That is why no margii or Wt tried to write down each and every thing they saw Baba do because it was all so normal. Everyone witnessed those things, so it was not anything unusual. So the who was going to write it all down. Just like how nobody keeps a minute to minute diary how the moon and sun are shining. Because they witness that day in, day out. It is not something to write about. Similarly, in Ananda Marga all know that Baba knows the entire universe.

Original Ananda Vanii states: “However dense the cimmerian darkness may be, the crimson dawn must follow. The fiends of hell may burst out in loud laughter, but all must fade in the void with the sunrise. The light of sádhaná shall dispel the thick darkness, notwithstanding the night of the pangs of humanity. Sunshine is destined in human life.” (Ananda Vanii #39)
Note: Sadguru Baba has assigned a number to all His original and true Ananda Vaniis. In contrast, Fake Ananda Vaniis do not have any number. By this simple formula, one can easily recognise which is a true Ananda Vanii and which is fake. For the upcoming occasion of January 1st 2017, all Ananda Marga units should use one of Baba’s original and true Ananda Vaniis, not a fake one. By this way, every sadhaka will surely get His blessing.
