Distortion of AM book by Tiljala Publications

Namaskar,

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Niiti or morality is derived from the Saḿskrta root verb nii + ktin suffix. Nii means “to lead” and niiti means “the code of conduct which leads human beings towards the state of highest fulfilment.” (1)

In His above teaching, Baba is guiding us that niiti or morality leads one to Parama Purusa. That is why our codes of morality are the first two limbs of astaunga yoga. Niiti, or morality, is comprised of the 5 steps of yama and the 5 steps of niyama. That is the moral compass of our Ananda Marga. And that is the essence of what is expressed in Sadguru Baba's above teaching. 

Yellow quote is wrong


Unfortunately, the below yellow section is from a different discourse and Tiljala Publications has wrongly printed that morality (niiti) is a part of the mind.

Comment: The above yellow highlighted section is wrong. Morality - i.e. yama and niyama - is not a component of the mind. It is not like the citta, aham, or mahat etc. This distortion was done by Tiljala Publications (TP). This is a prime example of the poor way in which our Ananda Marga philosophy is getting published. Due to these types of defects, many innocent readers are misled, unfortunately.

Tiljala Publications printed Baba’s discourses as “From a little analytical study of the functional differences between the subjective and objective parts of the mind, whether underdeveloped or developed, it is clear that the mind cannot maintain its unit identity without an object. Mind must have an object to contemplate. If that object transcends time, place and person, it will then be possible for the mind to perceive the temporal, spatial and personal factors from a broad angle of vision. Only a magnanimous and pervasive mind deserves to be called the Macrocosm. The ideological component of the unit mind which provides the initial inspiration for the individual to attain that Cosmic state, is called “morality”. Every aspect of morality sings the song of the Infinite, even in the midst of the finite. In other words, or put more simply, I wish to say that those magnanimous propensities which help to establish one in the Cosmic state are the virtuous principles of morality.Social life must take morality as its starting point – it must take inspiration from morality. Only then will society be able to put an end to the erosion caused by divisive internal conflicts and to advance towards victory. But before we can start work, we also have to understand the difference between morality and religion, or so-called dharma. Dharma means the attainment of bliss or the endeavour to attain bliss through regular sadhana in the subtler spheres of one’s nature. This blissful state is considered by wise people to be Brahma [the Supreme Entity], and by devotees to be one’s very soul.” (3)

"Nútan varaśe práńeri haraśe, prańati jánái tomáre, 
ámár jiivane varańe varańe, ańur manane ácho bhare..." (Prabhat Samgiita #3626)

Purport:

Parama Purusa, Baba, on the auspicious occasion of New Year's Day, with full gratitude and reverence, I am surrendering myself at Your lotus feet. In every facet of my life - in various colours and forms - You pervade my unit mind. You have inundated my life with abundant blessings and filled and saturated my whole existence; my each and every atom feels indebted towards You. 

Parama Purusa, You have provided me with all the necessities - food, water, clothing, shelter, medicine, and education - and have also given fruits and flowers. Your brilliance has made the cimmerian darkness disappear. You have given everything: the sweet breeze filled with the flower fragrance as well as the soothing, cool shade in the burning heat of summer. Prabhu, You are showering Your love, which is saturated with mineness and fills my entire being. You have satiated my heart with Your unparalleled, divine love. Baba, on this occasion, I do sastaunga pranam to You.

Parama Purusa, in the shivering cold, winter night You have given me the warmth of the fire, filled the flowers with a sweet, aromatic fragrance, and granted me the strength of intellect and willpower to fight against all sorts of enemies - degenerative forces, demons in human form. My Bandhu, what have You not given me. You have blessed me with every single thing and provided more than that what was needed. It is Your affection. In this way, You have given so much. In spite of all this, I’ve forgotten the divine method which You showed me and am intoxicated in matter. I have not properly treaded the spiritual path and have not obeyed You. Instead, I have degraded myself and fallen due to deep attraction with the material world. By seeing my pitiful state, You have always felt for me, forgiven me again and again, and lovingly lifted me up from the dust and placed me on Your lap. Baba, You have done everything for me; words alone are incapable of singing Your glory. Lord, on this holy occasion, I offer my all at Your lotus feet by doing sastaunga pranam.   

Parama Purusa, on the blissful occasion, I lay in prostration over and over again with full reverence at Your lotus feet. Baba, You are my everything...

बाबा भक्ति कथा: रूढ़िवादियों का प्रचण्ड विरोध 


दीक्षा लेने के पूर्व तथा बाद में साधकों को किस स्थिति से गुजरना पड़ता है - इसको मैं अति संक्षिप्त रूप से इस लिये प्रस्तुत कर रहा हूँ ताकि यह मालूम हो सके कि ’गुरू’ किस प्रकार भक्त पर कृपा करते है तथा साधक को समाज मे कितना संग्राम करना पड़ता है। अभी इस विषय का महत्व कम हो सकता है क्योंकि प्रत्येक आनन्दमार्गी को इसका अनुभव है। लेकिन जो नये साधक होंगे या आने वाले समय मे लोग जानकारी प्राप्त कर शायद लाभ उठा सकेंगे। दीक्षा लेने के उपरांत जब मैने दो-चार दिनो तक साधना की तो विचित्र अनुभूतियों को पाकर मैने मह्सूस किया कि मैं कहाँ पहाड़तल्ली मे था और् अब कहाँ उससे ऊँचाई पर आ गया। जो हो, यह रास्ता मनुष्य के विचार को अवश्य ही ऊँचाई पर ले जाने वाला है। जो हुआ सो ठीक ही हुआ। सब परमात्मा की कृपा से होता है। 

आप ब्राह्मण आदमी शिखा-सूत्र का परित्याग कर दिये।
 अब आपको हम गोड़ (प्रणाम) कैसे लगेंगे? 


लेकिन बाधा समाप्त नही हुई बल्कि, और् बड़े रूप मे सामने आयी। बी. एम. पी. ३ (बिहार सैनिक पुलिस-३) .... मे दो ’पाण्डेय’ महाशय थे। एक तो हमारे तथाकथित ’स्वजातीय’ तथा दूसरे तथाकथित ’भूमिहार ब्राह्मण्’ थे। हमारे तथाकथित स्वजातीय पाण्डेय जी जो वहाँ एक कनिष्ट-अधिकारी थे - हमसे कहने लगे - "राम - राम, यह तुमने क्या किया? शिखा-सूत्र का परित्याग कर दिया? अब् तुम ’ब्राह्मण’ कैसे कहे जाओगे? तुमसे (उनका कहने का मतलब हमारे परिवार् से था) तो कोई शादी-विवाह कि रिस्ता भी नही जोड़ेगा।" तुलसीकृत रामायण की कुछ चौपाईयों तथा कुछ संस्कृत श्लोकों को कहकर तथा उसका उलटा-सीधा अर्थ समझाकर मुझे दिगभ्रमित करने की कोशिश करते। और दूसरे पाण्डेय जी की कथा? वे कहते - "ऎ पंडित जी, आप ब्राह्मण आदमी शिखा-सूत्र का परित्याग कर दिये। अब आपको हम गोड़ (प्रणाम) कैसे लगेंगे? लोग अब आपको पूजेगा कैसे?"

 ढोंगिओं का कड़ा विरोध मुझे कितना सहना पड़ा


 कुछ देर के लिये मैं सोच मे पड़ जाता। फिर अकेला पड़ने पर और चिन्तन करने पर मेरा निष्कर्ष होता - "धत तेरे की। पैर नही पूजेंगे तो मत पूजें। उनके पैर पूजने से ही हमे कौन सा क्या मिल जाता है। लेकिन, यही क्या गारंटी है की इनके दिये सम्मान के लायक भी हम है? हम तो देखते है कि पंडित जी लोग ’लिख लोढ़ा पढ़ पत्थर’ (मूर्ख) होते है और पढ़े - लिखे अन्य लोग उन्हे प्रणाम करते है। क्या प्रणाम पाने से वे बड़े हो गये? यह सब ढोंग है। कुछ भी हो, आचार्य जी ने हमें बहुत बड़ी ’चीज़’ दी है। वह साधारण चीज़ नही है, जिसे छोड़ दिया जाय।" इस तरह का और इससे भी कड़ा विरोध मुझे कितना सहना पड़ा - आनन्दमार्गी भाईयों से कहने की जरूरत नहीं है। वे सब इन तरह के विरोधो के भुक्तभोगी हैं। समाज मे मार्गीयों का संग्राम समाप्त या कम हो गया है - वैसा भी नही, बल्कि वह तो अनवरत जारी है।

वहाँ पर धीरे-धीरे विरोध बाद मे कम होता गया और हमारी दृढ़्ता में भी बढ़ोतरी होती गई। जब लोगो ने देखा कि हम माननेवाले नही हैं - वे ठंडा पड़ गये। कुछ दिनो बाद जब मैं अपने गांव पर गया तो वहाँ का माजरा ही कुछ अलग किस्म का था। इस विषय मे आगे कुछ कहूँगा ।

भक्त हृदय की पुकार 

प्रभात संगीत 3895 तोमारी तरे कतो केन्देछि, तुमि केइनो एले ना काछे...

भावार्थ

हे परमपुरुष! मैं तुम्हें पाने के  लिये कितना रोया हॅूं। तुम्हारी चाहत में कितने आॅंसू बहाता रहा हॅूं। तुम मेरे निकट क्यों नहीं आये?  दिन रात मैं तुम्हें पुकारता रहा , बार बार तुम्हारा नाम जपता रहा, क्या मेरी पुकार तुम्हारे  कानों तक नहीं पहुंची? अन्यथा, तुम्हारी ओर से कोई उत्तर न आने का क्या कारण हो सकता है?

कई  प्रहर निकल  गया, कितना अधिक समय बीत गया। रात बीत गई, अब सुबह हो गई, और पक्षी अपने अपने घोंसलों  को छोड़ कर दूर दूर उड़ गए ।  परन्तु  हे मेरे प्रभु ! तुम फिर भी नहीं आये !! मैं तो युगों से तुम्हारी प्रतीक्षा कर रहा हॅूूं। हे  परमपुरुष ! मुझे तो लगता है तुम्हारे  पास कोई  ममता  ही नहीं है।  तुम्हें मेरे प्रति कोई प्रेम अथवा लगाव  ही नहीं है अन्यथा निश्चय ही तुम मेरे निकट  आ जाते।   तुम्हारे अलावा मेरा  है कौन? कोई नहीं। 

हे परमपुरुष बाबा! तुम अजाना पथिक कहलाते हो, तुम सबसे बड़े हो, श्रेष्ठ  हो। भविष्य के दिनों और तिथियों में सभी लोग तुम्हारे यश  और कीर्ति के  विजय गीत गायेंगे। वे अपनी आशा  और निराशा  के समय एक ही बात दुहरायेंगे, बाबा ! तुम हो इसलिये यह धरती घूम रही है, तुम्हारे कारण मेरा अस्तित्व है सभी कुछ तुम्हारे भीतर ही  है। 

बाबा, हे मेरे परमप्रिय! कृपा कर मेरे मानसिक घर में आ जाओ। (1)

Sermons of amity amongst the humanity

“Spread out the sermons of amity amongst the humanity. Remind one and all that the establishment of human excellence does not lie in hypocrisy but in simplicity and sincerity. Make them all realize that every individual human problem, whether big or small, is the problem of universal humanity. Make them also understand that the origin as well as the finality of the entire humanity is one and the same.” (Ananda Vanii #57)

Note 1: True Ananda Vaniis have a number whereas Fake Ananda Vaniis do not - just as a fake car license plate has no number. By this way, you can easily recognise a Fake Ananda Vanii.
