Namaskar,
As we all know, Prajina Bharati is one of the esteemed magazines in our Ananda Marga. Such periodicals and publications are for spreading the divine teachings of our Sadguru Baba, Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji.
Yet instead of highlighting Baba, one avadhuta stole Baba’s words and published them in his own name. That is the injustice and sinful dealing that occurred in the Prajina Bharatii magazine - consecutive no. #247.
Specifically Satyashrayananda ji wrote one or paragraphs himself and then stole Guru’s entire discourse / article on diabetes from the Ananda Marga Yogic Treatments book and then Dada published it in his own name.
Thus, Dada Satyashreyananda has taken Baba’s Yogic Treatment book (Hindi edition) and published the entire Diabetes chapter in his own name. Just here and there Dada sprinkled and inserted some of his own words and then put his own name at the top of the article. Yet it is Guru’s discourse.
Furthermore, to befool others in one paragraph Satyashrayananda ji mentions Guru’s name but then never uses quotation marks and gives the false impression that he paraphrased just one paragraph from Guru and the whole rest of the article he wrote himself. But that is completely wrong. Satyashrayananda ji hijacked Guru’s entire article / discourse and published it in his own name. That is the thievery / plagiarism that is going on.
Today avadhuta stole a paragraph
tomorrow Satyashrayananda ji will steal entire book
Some naive persons may think, “What is wrong – that is fine – he just took a chapter from Baba’s book – that is ok.” But if we allow Satyashrayananda ji to steal an entire discourse today, then tomorrow we may find that he or another Dada has published Guru’s entire book – Idea & Ideology – in his own name. And the following week another avadhuta might publish “Ananda Marga: Elementary Philosophy” in his own name. This is the domino effect that will ensue.
Thus we should be vigilant at the outset and not allow such avadhutas to steal Guru’s words and publish Guru’s original writings in their own name.
Plagiarism:Satyashrayananda ji must be held accountable
The world of the written word abides by certain codes and ethics. What Avadhuta S has done is not the norm – rather it is deception, the worst crime in the publishing world.
Avadhuta S. should be held accountable and liable for stealing Guru’s words and writing them as his own. Others may be curious about Satyashrayananda ji's motivation. The agreed upon reply is that Dadaji is posing as an intellectual and that’s why he stole. Indeed this is both a crime (theft) and a sin (betrayal to Guru).
As an avadhuta, when he is using Baba’s quote discourse he should feel proud to tell that this precious article has been given by his Guru. This is what a standard disciple will do. A true disciple will feel proud to tell that this is his Guru’s direct teaching.
Here is the paragraph avadhuta S.
stole from Guru's discourse
For your information and review, here is how the stolen Hindi section was published in Prajina Bharati. That means, the below excerpt from Baba’s discourse “Diabetes”, is the Hindi version of what Dada Satya’shraya’nanda stole and published in his own name in magazine article in Prajina Bharatii # 247. See the below scans.
For English readers if you scroll down beneath the scan there are excerpts from the English version of the Diabetes chapter.
A’ca’rya Satya’shraya’nanda Avt stole Baba’s entire chapter on diabetes and
here for convenience I share a small sampling of what he stole...
Causes
It is not always the case that sugar is present in the urine of diabetes patients. Diabetes with sugar in the urine is called somaroga or madhumeha. Diabetes without sugar is called mútrátisára or udakameha.
The debility of the mańipura cakra(1) is the main cause of diabetes. Amongst the pancreatic juices, one secretion helps in the digestion of food, and another separates the sugar content from non-vegetarian and starchy types of food. The sugar is then stored in a particular section of the liver and according to body requirements it is dissolved to generate heat and vital power to run the body mechanism. Chronic indigestion, constipation (here also the stool usually turns into pellets), mental exertion without any physical labour, use of intoxicants, and excessive seminal waste – all weaken the vitality of the liver. When such weakening takes place, the sugar contents of the food, failing to find a storage place in the liver, are assimilated into the blood and gradually accumulate. As a result, the blood gets polluted and loses its immune properties to a great extent. The natural reaction of the body in such a situation is to try to purify the blood by separating out its sugar content and expelling it with the urine. To dissolve the sugar, the human body needs plenty of water, and that is why diabetes patients suffer from a continuous thirst. Sugar emitted with the urine in a large quantity gradually reduces the vital energy of diabetes patients. (Yogic Treatments)
Treatment
Morning – Utkśepa Mudrá, Karmásana, Agnisára Mudrá, Upaviśt́a Ud́d́ayana Mudrá, Jánushirásana and Ágneyii Mudrá or Ágneyii Práńáyáma.
Evening – Yogamudrá, Diirgha Prańáma, Bhújauṋgásana, Pashcimottánásana, Bhastrikásana and Agnisára Mudrá. (Yogic Treatments)
Here above are Baba’s original words from His chapter on “Diabetes.” Avadhuta S lifted (i.e. stole) this entire chapter from Baba’s book and tried to present it as his own in the magazine Prajina Bharati #247.
Dadaji’s name is Satya’shraya’nanda
but actually he is Mithya’shraya’nanda
The name of the Dadaji who stole Guru’s chapter on diabetes is Satya’shraya’nanda (meaning the one who takes shelter in satya), but by his actions it is clear that he is actually Mithya’shraya’nanda - meaning the one who takes shleter in falsehood.
The Dada who plagiarized Baba’s words and committed this sin of stealing the Diabetes chapter of Baba’s Yogic Treatments book is Ac Satya’shraya’nanda Avt. The above appears in Satya’shraya’nanda’s article “Movement against diabetes” in Prajina Bharati #247.
Dada Satya’shraya’nanda is a thief. The meaning of his avadhuta name means that he has taken shelter in satya, but by his actions it is evident that Dadaji has taken shelter in deceit and falsehood - not satya.
These people are also responsible
These below Dadas are the in-charges of Prajina’ Bha’ratii (प्रज्ञा भारती) so they must also be taken to task for allowing Baba’s words to be stolen and printed in the name of Satya’shraya’nanda ji.
Editor- A’ca’rya Ra’kesha’nanda Avt. (secy.-Purodha’ Board)
Sub-editor- A’ca’rya Ra’gamaya’nanda Avt (secy.-Avadhuta Board)
Subscription-A’ca’rya Nirmoha’nanda Avt. (secy.-A’ca’rya Board)
Publisher/circulation- A’ca’rya Satya’shraya’nanda Avt. (secy.-Ta’ttvika Board)
Namaskar,
in Him,
Brahmananda
Note: Margiis should be aware about this
Margiis should be aware about the tendencies of these few Dadas because they will come and even steal things from your house. More about this is discussed in the ensuing letter.
