Writing wrong in the name of Baba

Namaskar,
One writer in his book makes a gross error in Baba's name. This matter should be corrected at the earliest - along with other faults from this publication. Please read below for details.


The writer misrepresents Baba's below teaching

As we know Baba would regularly speak on a vast array of subjects, according to His wish. Here in His discourse Baba is talking about the geological history of the Ananda Nagar region, also known as Rahr. Specifically Baba says that the land of Ananda Nagar is extremely old - 300 million years old - whereas, in comparison, the landmass of northern India is much newer, about 30 million years old.

"Ráŕh – the oldest part of this Gondwanaland that has remained above the sea – was the birth place of human beings. The hills of Anandanagar in Ráŕh are also at least 300 million years old. At that time there was no Himalayas. Then at least 30 million years ago, a plutonic earthquake occurred. The land in the portions where the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea are now was submerged under the sea and the present North India emerged....All this, including the emergence of the Himalayas, took place about 30 million years ago. The Himalayas are therefore approximately 30 million years old, but Gondwana land and Ráŕh are much older than that." (1)

So Baba's guideline is that the Ananda Nagar land mass and the surrounding area including the city of Ranchi is 300 million years old while the regions to the north are just 30 million years old.

Now see what one person has written.


The writer tells the opposite - in Baba's name

On page 110 of his "JY" book, the person writes that while on field walk near Ranchi, i.e. in the immediate Ananda Nagar area, Baba made the following statement.

"The soil here is newly formed by comparison, whereas the soil of Patna is quite old." (JY book, p.110)

The person cites the above as a direct quote from Baba. That means he attributes those words as coming directly from Baba. That is how it is presented in his "JY" book.

Thus the writer here is claiming that Baba Himself is telling that the Ananda Nagar / Ranchi land mass is much newer than the land mass to the north in the Patna region. As we know Ranchi lies 300+ km to the south of Patna.

Needless to say, such claims by the person completely contradict Baba's teaching from His discourse, "Geology and Human Civilization", delivered in Ananda Nagar in 1987. In His discourse, Baba guides us that the Ananda Nagar / Ranchi area is part of the oldest landmass on earth and is at least 300 million years old; in contrast, the area to the north is a much newer land mass. It is only 30 million years old. Baba informs us that the Ananda Nagar region is 270 million years older.

But the writer tells the exact opposite. He claims that Baba Himself directly states that the Ranchi / Ananda Nagar region is much newer and much younger than the land mass to the north.

"The soil here [Ranchi / Ananda Nagar] is newly formed by comparison, whereas the soil of Patna [Northern Bihar] is quite old." (JY book, p.110)

So the "JY" writer has gotten the whole equation backwards and the worst part is the he has done it all in Baba's name. As if Baba spoke one thing one day in one discourse, and then on another occasion spoke the polar opposite. This is the mess this JY book writer is making.

Nowadays, modern geologists can easily decipher which land mass is older and which is not. They can easily verify if what Baba spoke in His discourse is 100% accurate and whether what the JY writer has attributed to Baba is 100% wrong. This is not a mystery to modern-day geologists. So, because of the misrepresentation of facts in the JY book, those geologists will form a poor opinion about Baba and think that He wrongly spoke. This is the fallout.

So this type of contradiction just creates a mess. In his sloppiness, the "JY" writer confuses the issue entirely and - as noted above - the worst part is that he does it all in Baba's name.

Although this person took up the job of writing the "JY" book, he was not up to the task. This writer was ill-suited for the job. Here we should pay heed to Baba's warning.

They do more harm than good to the society

   Ananda Marga philosophy states, "The scriptures should always be interpreted by qualified scholars, competent philosophers, and penetrating thinkers. If one tries to interpret a profound scripture with superficial knowledge, the interpreter appears ridiculous and the audience is confused."      
   "There are some people who are neither scholars, nor philosophers, nor penetrating thinkers, but merely wander about interpreting scriptures as a means of livelihood. They utterly fail to present the proper matter in the correct perspective before the audience...[and] do more harm than good to the society."
   "[They] interpret the scriptures just to exhibit their intellect - to procure for themselves a certificate of erudition. They remain far from the living spirit of the scriptures." (3)

Purport:

O’ Parama Purusa, in the jubilation of this festival of effulgence, which is filled with rhythms and tunes, and song and dance, I want Your close proximity. in this festival, I want Your presence in my happy days, blissful moments. O my Lord, without You I am lonely.

O’ Parama Purusa, In this tribhuvana [1], there are none who have qualities like You. You have infinite attributions. Since nobody can count those attributions that is why people call You nirguńa. When we come in contact with You we realise that You are treasure of all qualities. You are the embodiment of all the merits.

O’ Parama Purusa Baba, in this universe no one is there who has karuńá [2] like You. You are karuńá peersonified. Regardless of whatever wrong we do, You always shower Your love and compassion. You go on playing the viińá [3] of karuńá. When You see others suffering Your heart melts. You shower Your love and grace. O’ Parama Purusa when we visualize Your mohan form in our mind then we achieve liberation and salvation….

Baba, on this auspicious occasion I want Your close proximity. Please remain along with me. There is no entity in this entire universe with whom You can be compared. Like You, there is no one else who is ever-compassionate and ever-gracious...


Notes For Prabhat Samgiita #3059:

[1] Tribhuvan / triloka: The prefix "Tri" means 'three' and the term "bhuvan" means 'world'. And here Ananda Marga ideology further clarifies what He exactly means by tribhuvan, or the three worlds:

"Tribhuvana means the expressed world, the psychic world and the astral world or, you may say, Causal World." (1)

This following section about triloka is from general darshan of 16 July 1980 in Patna. The two excerpts cited below define what the three lokas are and where they exist.

What are the three lokas

“The Supreme cognitive faculty is the subjectivity. And the second compartment of His Cosmic Mind takes the form of this moving world, of this animated or inanimated world. Everything resides, everything is created, everything is maintained, everything is nourished, and everything undergoes final metamorphosis within the vast objectivated mind, that is within the second mental counterpart of the Supreme Entity...”

“Now, what's the meaning of triloka, tribhuvana ? You have got a physical body made of so many elements, so many compounds. And we say it is [the] quinquelemental universe, composed of five fundamental factors...”

“And you exist in this realm of physicalities. This is one bhuvana. And, the subtler portion of the physical structure of living beings, when that subtler portion gets powdered down, is metamorphosed into ectoplasm, it becomes the mind. You have got a mind. And as all of you know, you are not the mind. You are the owner of the mind. So, your second existence is the mental world. Second world...”

“Your "I" is concentrated round your ego. And that pinnacled ego touches the astral stratum. So, that astral stratum is the third world. One physical world, another mental world, and another that subtle astral world. So, there are three worlds.” (2)

Where three lokas exist

“Both for microcosm and Macrocosm. In case of Macrocosm, all these three worlds lie within the second compartment of the [Cosmic] mind. First compartment is the cognitive mind. And second compartment is the "done mind", objectivated mind, mind that can be seen, that can be realized, that can be enjoyed singularly. So, these are the three bhuvanas, three worlds.” (3)


[2] Karun'a': This is when one is pained by seeing another's suffering and feels, "I should help them.” This type of empathetic feeling is karun'a'. For example, suppose you saw one beggar who is suffering. By seeing his pitiful situation then you felt in your heart that, "I should help him and remove his suffering. This very feeling of the heart towards that suffering beggar is the expression of karuna'.

Similarly, suppose a bhakta is suffering and unable to move ahead in the physical, psychic, or spiritual realm. In such circumstances, Parama Purusa cannot bear to watch His bhaktas go through so much suffering. When devotees are helpless and trying hard to move ahead on their forward journey and they face all kinds of obstacles, complexes, bondages, and suffering due to their own samskaras - and the situation arises where they can no longer move ahead - seeing this unbearable scene, Parama Purusa feels He must rescue them immediately from their suffering. With His deep empathy and mercy, Parama Purusa removes their suffering, so that once again they can move ahead in all realms of life. This entire liila is called His karun'a'.

Difference Between Krpa' & Karun'a'

In the case of karun'a', Parama Purusa is moved by a bhakta's suffering and comes forward to save that bhakta from their suffering. With krpa' (grace), the bhakta is not suffering but even then Parama Purusa is bestowing His blessing.

It is just like if a baby is sick and with great empathy a neighbor selflessly gives that infant more attention without expecting anything in return. That neighbor just lovingly places the sick baby on her lap in a very special way and serves the baby. That is karuna. Because the neighbor is moved and motivated into action by seeing the sick child's suffering. In contrast, if that same baby is not sick, and the neighbor just wishes to bring the baby on her lap to serve the baby, then that is krpa.

Similarly, when out of empathy Parama Purusa lovingly comes to the aid of His suffering devotee to relieve them of their spiritual strife, that is His karuna; and, if that same devotee is not suffering devotionally, yet Baba still bestows His blessing, that is His krpa.

So there is a distinct difference between krpa (grace) and karuna (compassion).

When Parama Purusa showers His karuna He helps that suffering person and relieves them of their pain and agony - in all spheres of life.


[3] Viina: "The viińá is a very ancient Indian musical instrument...The viińá is the simplest form of stringed instrument [having one string], and from this, other stringed instruments evolved later." (4)

Helping others not to think like this

“Encourage everyone to build their career in a nice way. Let none get the opportunity to think that their life has become useless.” (Ananda Vanii #19)

Note: The above is one of Baba’s original Ananda Vaniis. These original and true Ananda Vaniis are unique, eternal guidelines that stand as complete discourses in and of themselves. They are unlike Fake Ananda Vaniis which are fabricated by most of the groups - H, B etc.

No destructive criticism, but always constructive criticism

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Sulocana” means the man who only sees the bright side of everything, only the positive qualities, only the good side, and not the bad side. Such a person never supports any sort of destructive criticism, rather always constructive criticism. The person who always sees the good side of everything, is “Sulocana” in [the] masculine; in [the] feminine it will be “Sulocaná”. One "a" is to be suffixed to the word.” (1)

In His above guideline, Baba equates “seeing the bright side” with constructive criticism. That means if anyone points out the problem in order to make the situation better, then they are “seeing the bright side.”

For instance, if a Wt contravenes the code of conduct and indulges in negative things, then if anyone points out the problem with the aim of raising the standard of that Wt worker, then that person is “seeing the bright side” of that Wt.

All too often some are confused about this. One must know that when pointing out is done in a constructive manner then it is a positive approach. Then they are “seeing the bright side.”

Five Important Topics

Why Baba did not give mahaprayan diivasa in Caryacarya

I am of the view that the mahaprayan dogma is the root cause of division. It is an affirmation that Baba is no more and that we are free to do as we please- create our own vaniis, distort scripture and promote division.

DOGMAS DIVIDE. It is an historical fact that religion and religious movements could not maintain structural solidarity because of the inability to understand and process scriptural injunctions. Baba has also said that the world's religions cannot unite because each has its own inherent dogmas. Dogmas are also always opposing, irrational and rigid-  going against the naturalness of mind ,which is to expand towards infinity.

In the past and also presently when a dogma becomes questionable (due to development rational intellect) a new one is invented to replace or to justify the dogma in question. ONE DOGMA GIVES BIRTH TO OTHERS.

In any case Baba understands human psychology best. All functions sanctioned by Baba in Caryacarya are positive. Mahaprayan is negative. Often Baba encouraged us to look ahead. Our eyes are in front. HIS advent on this planet is to change human misgivings- to destroy caste system, dowry system and over and above all, to bring and end to dogma which is the cause of human degradation and  woes. SPIRITUALITY AND DOGMA CANNOT CO-EXIST.

As I have mentioned BABA KNOWS HUMAN PSYCHOLOGY BEST. There is a reason why Baba did NOT give mahaprayan diivasa as one of the many celebrations and functions in Caryacarya.

Mahaprayan is the the brainchild of mortals not Parama Purusa. It is a shortsighted, emotional outburst.

Many of its protagonists have realised its shortcomings but as you know the ego prevents one from telling the truth and prevents one from backtracking - especially those in leadership. How difficult it is to say, "I have erred." It is easier to stick to ones guns and in the process do irreparable damage to human progress. These are great sinners.

Please note in HIS blessing Baba said  - Let everyone be HAPPY. Let everyone see the BRIGHT SIDE......... .

There is NO bright side to DOGMA especially in our case of the Mahaprayan (DEATH) dogma.

Beware: Communalism, provincialism, casteism, etc. – none of these
are considered bad for the sake of party interests


Prout philosophy states, “Honest and benevolent individuals should carefully steer clear of party politics. The question may arise, In the absence of party politics, will honest individuals succeed on their own in forming governments or in serving the state? Is there any necessity for organized endeavour? In answer to this question I will say that those who are honest, who really want to promote human welfare, and who believe in a world government and the ideals of Ánanda Parivára [a blissful, universal family], must possess the spirit of mutual cooperation. They may form themselves into boards exclusively for the purpose of rendering social service collectively (and not for fomenting politics), but it will not be proper for such boards to contest elections.”

“People should cast their votes for deserving human beings – not for the lamppost holding the party ticket.”

“To further the interests of the party, party politics may publicly oppose something which is often secretly encouraged. Communalism, provincialism, casteism, etc. – none of these are considered bad for the sake of party interests. The only identity of human beings is that they are humans – living beings. Party politics strives to keep people oblivious of this fact – it tries to pulverize the psychic wealth of human beings under the steamroller of party interests.” (1)

== Section 3: Ananda Vanii ==

How to attain perfect spiritual compose and all-round fulfilment


“Those entities in whom psychic and intellectual powers are looked upon as more gorgeous than the physical ones are called humans – predominantly mental beings. Hence, to bring about the real well-being of humanity, greater attention has to be paid to the psychic and intellectual expressions of human beings, for that will lead to perfect spiritual composure and all-round fulfilment in human life.”

“Competition in the realm of physical pabula may bring satisfaction in material enjoyment, but it leads human beings far, far away from inner tranquillity. It is true that to give emphasis to existential security of human beings food, clothes, accommodation, education and medical care are absolutely necessary. Accepting these requirements as indispensable needs for living beings, you will have to move forward. But remember that while giving utmost importance to these requirements, human characteristics should not be even slightly neglected under any circumstances. You must also remember that the physical expressions of life and the increasing spiritual unfoldment of human beings are not antithetical, rather they are complementary to one another in the task of establishing a great ideology.”

“So keep moving, enlighten humanity with crimson rays, and make your existence meaningful and effulgent. Move on, move on.” (Ananda Vanii #73)

Yoga: way to protect the backbone (spine)

Baba says: "When calcium builds up and gets deposited in the back it becomes hard. That is why when people are very young then their backbone is quite flexible but due to an accumulation of calcium over just a few years then by the time they are teen-agers already their spinal column has become stiff and rigid." (1)

"Doing noakasana, utkata paschimottanasana, and shalabasana etc eliminates the possibility of developing a hunched back. So those doing hard manual labor that demands bending the back for extended periods of time should do these aforementioned asanas on a regular basis. That will prevent them from suffering from hunch-back in the future." (2)

Shoddy purodhas disparage Guru

Note 1: This letter is not for those who do not have reverence for Guru, Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji. Those who cannot use their rational mind should not read this email. This is an important issue for the glory of Guru. Here we present the hard facts.

Note 2: In tantra, out of deep reverence, every disciple does sastaunga pranam to Guru. Sastaunga pranam is done by prostrating before Guru. And this pranam is not done to anybody else - only Guru. By this way one can understand that Guru gets utmost respect - above all. This letter is for true tantric disciples.

Recently one incident took place that undermines the most foundational point of tantra - the status of Guru.

Our Ananda Marga philosophy teaches us that only Brahma is the Guru. Ananda Sutram (sutra 3-9) states:

Brahmaeva gururekah náparah.
[Only Brahma is the guru, no one else.]

“Purport: Brahma alone is the guru. Brahma alone directs the units to the path of emancipation through the media of different receptacles or bodies. No one except Brahma conforms to the real significance of the word “guru”." (1)

And here again we can understand that Brahma has come in the name and form of Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji.

Ananda Marga ideology states, "The one formless, beginningless and infinite Parama Brahma (Supreme Consciousness) is the only entity to be attained by living beings – That alone is Jagat Guru (the Supreme preceptor), That alone has revealed Brahmavidyá (intuitional science) to us through the medium of the name and form of Anandamúrtijii. Unit beings must be made to appreciate Its majesty." (2)

In Ananda Marga  Baba is the Guru and all are His disciples, including PP dada.

Dada Vishvadevananda is sitting higher


Yet at the recent Kullu DMS , one grave sin was committed. Here is what happened: Purodha Pramukha, i.e. Dada Vishvadevananda, appeared on stage at the DMS sitting on an elevated seat that was higher than Guru's place. PP Dada was veritably blocking the photo of Rev Baba. The image is above for you.

By placing PP Dada's seat higher than Sadguru Baba's place they are not just violating a social code but committing sin. To cast PP Dada or any human being on a pedestal higher than Guru is mahapapa - terrible sin.

Yet that is what occurred at the DMS. PP Dada's seat was higher than Baba's place.

Those involved are sinners and hypocrites. Our dadas pose as being great sadhakas wholly devoted to Guru, yet their actions and dealing tell otherwise. Raising the status of PP dada above that of Guru reveals their mindset and true colours. No true devotee could ever do like this.

So first such central dadas are committing sin and then sending this about photo out to the various newspapers.


Dada Rudrananda: Jacking him up to reap the benefits

Our Dada Rudrananda the handler of PP is trying to jack up PP Dada's image in order to reap the benefits. PP Dada is himself a stooge so he has no say in the matter.

Everyone should consider and understand that the DMS organisers themselves published and submitted this photo to the newspaper(s). Some naive people do not realise that the DMS authorities took this photo have been using it to propagate their event.

It has nothing to do with taking the photo from a particular angle or vantage point. This is the official photo of the event. So this has nothing to do with trick photography - this the real deal. Our dadas truly did jack up PP Dada seat above Sadguru Baba's photo.

They gloat that their faction is the real Ananda Marga but look what they are doing.


Humiliating Photo taken by Rudrananda & his stooges
and distributed to newspapers

They wanted to publicise this to the whole world: That now Vishvadevananda is the news guru of Rudrananda, and thus Baba’s status is lower than Vishvadevananda. That is why our dadas have PP Vishvadevananda sitting on a higher seat. Their action shows this - what further proof is needed. This work of taking the photo and giving to the newspapers for the whole world to see was not done by some third party like communists; rather this was done by Dada Rudranandji’s stooges.


Dada Rudrananda’s mentality is pathetic and shameful

Dada Rudrananda made the photo with the aim to present Baba’s status lower than PP’s status because Dada Rudrananda with his ulterior motive, wants to show that now PP Dada is sitting on throne. So PP Dada is the authority of divine power so Rudrananda can rule from behind the scene.

By their dealing, they are worse than animals. Dada Rudrananda ji wants to convince the whole world about the glory of the new guru of Rudrananda - i.e. PP Dada. Those in Centre want to project PP Dada’s status as being higher than Baba’s status. So AMPS central is showing how our dadas do not give respect to Guru Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji because now Vishvadevananda is the guru. This type of mentality is pathetic and shameful.

Note 1: Solution: ideal way of displaying Baba's photo

As we know, in our dharmacakra halls and jagrtis etc, Guru's photo must be prominently displayed at all times - with due reverence and regard. Best then is to have two photos on display - one lower (around 4 feet off ground), and one higher (around 7 feet off the ground.)

If everyone is sitting in sadhana or Guru Puja then both photos should be displayed. Because everyone is low to the ground and no one will block or disrespect Guru's image.

And if someone is standing or giving a talk, or if akhanda kiirtan is being done, then the lower photo, which is only four feet off the ground, should either be turned around or covered by a small curtain. That way those standing will not block or hover over Guru's photo. At the same time, the higher photo - which is around 7 feet above the ground - will be in full view of all. Those standing will have no chance of blocking that photo. The sanctity of Guru's photo will be maintained and the devotional environment preserved.

At DMS PP Dada should be sitting lower and Revered Baba's photo must be several feet above the seat of PP Dada. Baba's photo must not be below the seat of PP Dada as happened at the recent Kullu DMS - see above photo.

The central idea is that at our Marga gatherings Saguru Baba's photo must be, at  minimum, several feet above the seat of PP Dada.


Note 2: Reverence for Guru

"Gurupújanam. I must have reverence for the guru. What is the guru? Gu means “darkness”, that is, darkness in the psycho-spiritual sphere. And ru means “dispelling agent”. That is, he who dispels darkness from my psychic and spiritual body is the guru. Gu means “darkness”, ru means “dispeller”. “Trtiiyaḿ gurupújanam. That is, you must have respect for the guru." (3)

Thus every sadhaka must cultivate great reverence for Guru, by His grace. That is the requisite quality of every disciple.


Note 3: Best seat is always reserved for the most respected

So these Dadas have contravened a basic, fundamental rule that even ordinary citizens follow. At any gathering, the best seat is always reserved for the most respected person. At conventions, the president gets the best seat; at forums, the invited speaker gets the best seat; at weddings, a special place is reserved for the bride and groom. But, this basic ethic the DMS organisers could not follow.

What is meant by:
hurting the religious sentiments of others

Baba says, "You should be careful not to hurt the religious sentiments of others, even if in the future most people become A'nanda Ma'rgiis. Deities should be preserved in museums, and temples should be restored to maintain the cultural and historical heritage of the country." (1)

Note: In the past and nowadays also, during communal riots vandals attacked and destroyed temples, mosques, and synagogues etc. This type of thing was common in India during the Muslim invasion. And  throughout most parts of the globe we have witnessed this. People senselessly destroy the symbols and structures of other religions.

Not long back, the Taliban blew up the biggest Buddha carving in the world which had been made into a mountainside in Afghanistan. Nowadays, in Syria terrorists are doing the same thing - desecrating and destroying religious treasures and shrines. Such types of hate crimes occur both on the collective level and also in individual life. If someone hates another religion then they will destroy those religious artifacts etc. They break the neck or nose of various statues, or crush them into dust - thereby hurting the religious sentiments of others.

This type of senseless and destructive attack is not acceptable. In Ananda Marga we do not support this in any way.


Naive people get confused

At the same time, no one should think that open, rational discussions about religious beliefs is not allowed. Unfortunately some naive people get confused and think that genuine ideological discussion between the religions is also forbidden. But that is not true. Respectful logical discussion aimed at pointing out the loopholes is appropriate. That has nothing to do with hurting the religious sentiments of others.

For instance, one can openly discuss religious dogmas like casteism, heaven and hell, or namaz etc. Such topics can be examined morally and philosophically - and discussed. It only crosses the line when one openly abuses the peoples of that religion by taunting them that, "Your forefathers were stupid for worshiping the sun, moon, monkey, cross, crescent moon etc." That contravenes our code or ethic.

As Ananda Margiis, we should not suppress or eliminate the various legacies and traditions of different peoples and communities. All should be honoured and respected and taught the ways of neo-humanism. At the same time we should bear in mind that an open, respectful, rational discussion is encouraged .

Ananda Marga ideology states, “You shall protect, in all respects and at all costs, the dignity of your treasures and the sanctity of your flag, of your emblem, and of the pratikrti [photo] of Márga Guru.” (1)

Caryacarya guides us, "The one formless, beginningless and infinite Parama Brahma (Supreme Consciousness) is the only entity to be attained by living beings – That alone is Jagat Guru (the Supreme preceptor), That alone has revealed Brahmavidyá (intuitional science) to us through the medium of the name and form of Anandamúrtijii. Unit beings must be made to appreciate Its majesty." (2)

Ananda Marga ideology says, "Trtiiyaḿ gurupújanam. I must have reverence for the guru. What is the guru? Gu means “darkness”, that is, darkness in the psycho-spiritual sphere. And ru means “dispelling agent”. That is, he who dispels darkness from my psychic and spiritual body is the guru. Gu means “darkness”, ru means “dispeller”. “Trtiiyaḿ gurupújanam. Now look what our Dadas are doing: They are sitting directly in front of Guru's photo - blocking it entirely. This is not the proper way for any disciples to behave. With their common sense, no disciples or sadhaka can think of sitting with their back to​ their Guru - blocking Him entirely. The person fourth from the right with the long white beard is Dada Rudrananda ​- he is the most lowly as he has planted himself directly in front of Guru’s photo. Dada Rudranandji ​- due to his degenerated mind -​ firmly believes that he himself ​should get the most respect​. Hence he should sit in front of Guru’s photo and be flanked by his hand-picked stooges. And that is the scene we bear witness to here. Guru’s photo is completely blocked ​by these worthless people.

​These Dadas have contravened a basic, fundamental rule that even ordinary citizens follow. At any gathering, the best seat is always reserved for the most respected person. At conventions, the president gets the best seat; at forums, the invited speaker gets the best seat; at weddings, a special place is reserved for the bride and groom. But, this basic ethic such lowly Wts could not follow. They sat directly in front of Sadguru Baba.




Here again we should remind ourselves how the Dadas in the above photo did not follow this following basic mandate.

When they themselves are not following the fundamental tenets of dharma then what are they going to teach others. They will just waste their time in infighting, unfortunately.


Preserving sanctity of Sadguru's photo

As we know, in our dharmacakra halls and jagrtis etc, Guru's photo must be prominently displayed at all times - with due reverence and regard. Best then is to have two photos on display - one lower (around 4 feet off ground), and one higher (around 7 feet off the ground.)

Purport:

Parama Purusa Baba has come. Today the entire world is exuberant with joy - filled with rhythmic dances and enchanting melodies. Those sweet tunes and melodies of by-gone days have returned and that music is divinely intoxicating for all. Everyone is dancing in His bliss.

O' bhaktas, come one, come all - place spiritual collyrium in your eyes, thread garlands for Him, and fill your baskets with the fragrance of flowers for Him. Colour everyone with the hues of your heart; fill them with aroma of marigolds, and make your surroundings aromatic for His auspicious reception.

Today, in the festival of lights, all hearts have accepted Him as their own, their most loving One. Attaining the Citcore [1] , the pollen of the mind is dancing in bliss. With the arrival of Parama Purusa everything is blissful. Baba has graciously come...


Note for Prabhat Samgiita #401: 

[1] Citta-cor / Chit-chor / Citcor: In His role as 'Citcor', Parama Purusa is the Thief or Stealer of the devotee's mind. How does He steal the mind? He captivates their mind and attracts the bhakta by His exquisite spiritual charm - whereby the sadhaka cannot think of anything or anyone else. The sadhaka has lost control of his own mind: It incessantly and unknowingly rushes towards Parama Purusa. The One who makes this happen is Citcor - the Stealer of the mind.

And to some degree this happens in the mundane realm as well, though it is degenerating and not long-lasting. There are numerous worldly examples where a person's mind is stolen. For instance, if they lost money, if they are infatuated with mundane attraction, if they are anxious about something - in all such cases when the person's mind runs again and again in that direction. So to some degree their mind has been stolen. The person's mind is no longer their own - they do not have control over it. Over and over, their mind is thinking of something - yet that something is not eternal but rather short-lived. So the effect is degenerating. Because their I-feeling has become attached to something mundane. In the real sense that is not citcor, but rather a reflection of a reflection of the stage of citcor.

The Entity that causes someone to lose control of their mind is Citcor - the stealer of the mind. And this is a deeply spiritual state. In the devotional sphere, only Parama Purusa is Citcor. The sadhaka thinks of Him, unknowingly. Always the mind is goaded in that direction. Even if the bhakta intentionally tries not to think in this way, still his mind becomes ensconced in the thought of the Supreme, i.e. Parama Purusa. This is an elevating experience and has a wholly beneficial result.

Ultimately, when this condition climaxes, in that culminating state the unit mind - the jiiva'tma - becomes one with Supreme Consciousness.

Lastly, another name of Citcor is Makhan Cor (Butter Thief).

A number of dogmatic worshipers think that Lord Krsna is a butter-thief and they portray Lord Krsna as a small child who has stolen butter whereby the child Krsna is eating a lot of saturated fat. The sages tried to teach the common people with analogies but due to a very low standard the people took it in a literal way until finally it became an entrenched dogma. They do not like to hear the real truth of the matter.

“Marching ahead is life, crushing the pebbles of hindrances and obstacles with a stroke of your feet, disdaining the frowns of tornadoes, meteors and roaring thunder, and rendering all superstitions to ashes without any second thought. March on and on, Parama Puruśa is with you. Victory is yours.” (Ananda Vanii #29)

Animal life, dirty life, and sadhaka life

Ananda Marga ideology states, "An animal life is given to carnal pleasure human life is for sádhaná." (1)

In Ananda Marga, human life is for sadhana; thus the mind must be guided in this way. Indeed, if one is indulged in sex solely for the sake of sex - as is the case with homosexuals / gays etc - then sadhana is not possible. Such types of persons cannot understand Ananda Marga teachings. They cannot grasp that the mind must be goaded towards Parama Purusa. An aspirant must remain in Brahmabhava throughout the day - then sadhana will be successful, otherwise not. So the mind must be trained accordingly. Gay / lustful sexual relations undermine this endeavour.

Will they remain tight-lipped, sit quietly with their arms folded, and dismiss the situation as purely a domestic affair, thereby making the murder of the woman easier, and thus assist in establishing static peace? No, that is not the dictum of human dharma. On the contrary they should rush to the house, break down the door, save the woman, take suitable action against the male tyrant, and in this way come forward to establish sentient peace.” (1)

Re: Group fight & solution

Dear brothers & sisters,

I take the opportunity to address all brothers & sisters including all workers while replying your mail about the group fighting. Shri Shyam Sunder Goenka has been also mailing about his efforts for unity in AMPS. I have always stressed the missing links as be the great need to follow in the context for restoring unity cherished as:

We are all fortunate to get the all-pervading Entity to descend as our Supreme Master whom we most affectionately call "BABA" who has graciously given the revolutionary ideological teachings and devotional cult to reach all people making it easily possible for all to individually unify with the Master ucleus of the entire cosmological order. He branded the supreme path of unifying oneself with the Supreme Self as Ananda Marga founding Ananda Marga Pracarak Samgh to take it to all across the world.

It is our great responsibility to carry HIS great mission to all across the world. Some among us have come forward renouncing their all as wholetime workers even resorting to the avadhuta system for the purpose. It should be borne in mind that our Purodha Pramukh, having the overall responsibility to manage the great mission, is simply a worker to promote & protect it. Therefore, there should be no misgiving that workers like Rudranandji as alleged, can ever control & use our mission to serve their vested interests. Such workers having any such nefarious objective, better change their actions or advised to leave forthwith. The groups or the factions as found formed or be formed by such workers be simply discarded.

The unity as sought for, be found instantaneous if we find the very purpose of our joining the great mission of our BABA which be found simply the mission of the entire mankind.

Ananda Marga ideology highlights the importance of one’s spiritual initiation as a time of birth.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “The first birth was the physical birth, and the second birth was the spiritual birth, during initiation.” (1)

Hence, one should not think that when the spermatozoa fertilises the egg and ensuring birth is one grand birthday event. Life should be spiritually oriented, not goaded toward the mundane.

Thus, every Wt in our Marga should think twice about how far they should celebrate their “birthday”. For avadhutas / avadhutikas there is no question of celebrating as they have given up everything of their unit existence for Guru Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji. At each and every juncture or stage of an avadhuta’s / avadhutika’s training they are given a new name because each stage itself represents a new birth – a new beginning, all the while leaving behind their old life. In which case, where is the scope for an avadhuta / avadhutika to celebrate their own worldly birthday.

The spirit of being an avadhuta / avadhutika is to dedicate everything to Marga Gurudev. By getting avadhuta / avadhutika diiksa and by getting their new avadhuta / avadhutika name, they no longer have anything of their own. In that blessed state, everything belongs to Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji. And Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji is their mother, father, & everything. That is the oath they have taken.

They surrender their all – their entire I-feeling – at His lotus feet. Their name has changed; their address has changed; their identity has changed. They have no past connection with their worldly life, nor their worldly birth. Avadhutas / avadhutikas give everything to Parama Purusa – they have nothing left to call their own.

That is why in the conduct rules of the avadhuta / avadhutika, there is no such thing as the observance of one’s own donkey birthday or any form of celebration or glorification of one’s own unit existence. Rather the avadhuta’s / avadhutika’s goal of life and the be-all end-all of their existence is to glorify Parama Purusa. They are to be established solely in Marga’s Guru’s glory.

In which case, where is the scope for an avadhuta / avadhutika to celebrate their own worldly birthday.

When artists are of dubious character then what to do

Note: Please bear in mind that those who do not give importance to Baba's divine teachings this letter is not for them.

Here is an important point related with a bad and characterless artist. To understand this matter fully please read Baba’s below teaching. Without understanding this following guideline from Baba, this topic will remain elusive.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "The youth of a country are attracted to artists; it is therefore the duty of society and the state to monitor these artists' ideals and character. Otherwise they may exert a harmful influence on young men and women who are the future hope of society.”

“...It is essential for artists to have impeccable conduct, a healthy lifestyle and strength of character. If those whom youths respect as ideal men and women possess an ideal character, the characters of those whom they influence will no doubt also be positively affected. In addition, ideal artists and actors who have a strong character will be able to express their artistic brilliance more sweetly and completely.”

“Characterless, drunken or greedy artists will be considered liabilities by their fans and society...strict vigilance should be kept over the purity of their [artists] individual conduct. They should not become the cause of a disease which invades the whole social body like a cancer.

“If actors and actresses fail to acquire a basic level of personal purity or are reluctant to acquire it, it will be the duty of society and the state to compel them to lead good lives by creating circumstantial pressure. No matter how talented they may be, immoral actors and actresses will have to be deprived of their right to exhibit their artistic talents, and sent to reform schools." (1)

In His above guideline, Baba states that artists (singers, dancers, actors, performers etc) must be of good character and adhere to the moral codes and follow a healthy lifestyle - and not indulge in same-sex relations. Yet all too often these artists lead licentious lives. According to Ananda Marga philosophy, this must stop. All artists must be held to a strict moral standard, or be taken off the stage and sent to reform school.

It is well-known throughout Ananda Marga, that Jyotsna (Jyoshna) Latrobe has a long history of impropriety in the form of lesbianism (*).

Even worse is that she has allegedly preyed upon unsuspecting margii sisters, during and after years and years of co-habitating with her female sex partner, i.e. gay relations. So sister Jyotsna suffers from a dual problem.

First is that she practices and promotes gay relations which are not accepted in Ananda Marga. And secondly, she seemingly has a penchant for using her allurement as an artist to draw naive and innocent sisters into her fold of gay sexual relations.


Look what the Gurukul website has done

Now see here below how the Gurukul website is promoting Jyotsna. As the head of Gurukul, Dada Shambhushivananda should take care of the situation. As it is against Guru’s principles to highlight degraded artists. Warning: Sister J is a confirmed lesbian and alleged sexual predator. Such artists should not be appreciated due to their low character. We kindly request all readers to communicate with respected Shambhushivananda so he can arrange to have this taken down from the Gurukul website. It is quite insulting and will only serve to degraded the mind of our teenager students etc.

Defeats the very purpose of holding a retreat 

Those artists who support and perform same-sex relations, should not be allowed because their presence defeats the very purpose of holding a retreat. A retreat is done to educate common folks about our Ananda Marga lifestyle. Thus all instructors, guides, and teachers at our Ananda Marga retreats must be of the highest moral character.

Even in materialistic countries we see that regardless of what is acceptable in the general society, certain professions like judges and teachers are held to a higher moral standard. For instance, adult pornography is legal in the USA, but those who have worked in that industry will never be allowed to become a teacher. And many such examples can be given.

Thus when Ananda Marga does not appreciate sex for sex's sake (filthy relations), then those involved in such dealings should not be leading seminars at our Ananda Marga retreats. Their presence at the retreat will be toxic.

Note: It should be borne in mind that at last year’s New Year's retreat in Suva Sector (Tyalgum Ridge Retreat, Northern NSW, 27 Dec 2014 - 02 Jan 2015) the organisers went against Guru’s teaching by inviting an artist with an unhealthy lifestyle to lead a seminar. They allowed Jyotsna to lead despite the fact that she engages in, supports, and propagates same sex relations (i.e. women having sexual engagement with other women).

So, placing her on a pedestal and inviting her to lead a seminar at last year’s New Year's retreat in Suva sector was a recipe for disaster. It was an overt violation of Sadguru's guideline. Those organisers should have heeded Sadguru's warning and removed sister J from the panel of presenters.

(*) Lesbianism: noun  (Concise Encyclopedia): The quality or state of intense emotional and usually erotic attraction of a woman to another woman.

Marriage between what

Those new to Ananda marga may not know Baba’s teaching that marriage is between different genders not the same. Margiis are not like animals in human form but far evolved beings - devas. Here is Baba’s teaching on this issue of gay and lesbian relations,  and what constitutes a marital bond in our Ananda Marga.

According to Guru, marriage must be between members of the opposite sex (i.e. heterosexual union) and not members of the same sex (i.e.homosexual union). The husband must be a male and the wife must be a female. Whereas in same-sex relations either the husband is a female or the wife is a male.

Sadguru Baba says, "Those who accepted this new arrangement were declared married, and the other members of their society would be witnesses to the marriage ceremony, to bless the newly-married couple and pledge their cooperation to them. The Sanskrit equivalent for marriage is viváha (vi – vah + ghaiṋ): it means, after the ceremony, the man and woman can no longer live as libertines or as irresponsible so-called family people. They have to discharge their full obligations as bharttá and kalatra, responsible husband and responsible wife." (1)

Next is another guideline from Sadguru that marriage must always be between a man and a woman - not sexual relations between members of the same sex.

Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji states, "Another Sanskrit equivalent for “woman” is nárii, which is feminine gender. But Shiva used the term kalatra, in the neuter; for to her husband a woman is a wife, but to her children and other members of the society, she is as dignified as her male counterpart. So by declaring a married lady to be kalatra, Shiva gave her special status, and addressed her in neuter terms." (2)

Following is another of Sadguru's teachings that vivaha is tantra’s special ceremony of marriage between a man and a woman - not members of the same sex, ie male having physical relations with another male, nor a female physically indulged with another female.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "The liberal meaning of the term viváha is “live one's life in a new way with a special type of responsibility”. This is the underlying significance of the Shaeva system of marriage." (3)


Marriage is always between a male and a female

In Sadguru's below below example, He is guiding that marriage is always between a male and a female, never between two females or two males.

Sadguru Baba states, "In His life, Shiva Himself married with this commitment. We can say without the least hesitation that Shiva was the first person in this world to marry in the proper sense of the term. He was eager to see that the married women did their duties properly towards their husbands, that is, that they always took care to remove the difficulties of their husbands." (4)

Verily in Sadguru's next example, all can understand that marriage is between a man and a woman.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Thus it was His strict instruction, Yad bharttureva hitamicchati tad kalatram [“If in the mind of the wife, there is the sincere desire for the welfare of her husband, the family will be blissful and a thatched house will become a golden home”]." (5)


Let’s see:
gay supporters grasp this Baba's teaching or not?


This following quote is well-explained and shows how marriage is only between a male and a female and not the same gender. Since the inception of marriage during Lord Shiva's time, marriage has been between a man and a woman. And that is what Baba has approved for AMPS.

So when the point of same sex marriage is raised then one should give Baba's teaching that it is always between a man and a woman - not between a man and a man etc. In the west, some so-called open-minded people are confused and always try and bring some argument in favour of gay marriage, but their logic has no legs to stand upon.

Here begins Baba’s teaching that marriage is a union exclusively between a male and a female - not between two females or two males.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "But Shiva did more than that: He declared that women must be kalatra, which means that women must discharge their obligations to their husbands and their children in such a way that the latter will not have the least difficulty." (6)

बुलबुल पुकारती है, हे मनुष्यो!  ध्यान से सुनो, खुले मन और हृदय से आओ। सुनो! परमपुरुष की  गगनभेदी ध्वनि  गूंज  रही है। जो सभी कष्टों और व्यथाओं को दूर करती है। यह वह अवसर है जब वे  दिव्यसत्ता परमपुरुष, धरती पर आये हैं, सुनो, सुनो!

The spiritual aspirant has to hasten that auspicious moment by pauseless effort, service and propagation of the great Ideology. Until we get our own governing bodies back in line or order I propose we utilise the legal system to undo illegal and unethical behavior of our leadership.

I urge those holding.any AMPS  office to arrest and/or to bring this Dada to court charging him with embezzlement and grand larceny so the money can be given back to the organization and do so with other Acaryas who steal from Baba's beloved missionary organization.  Moreover, let us remind all WTs that we will continue to do the same with them at any time in the future: arrest anyone who misappropriates money and property from the organization until we can again retain honest leadership.

Misrepresentation of AM Teachings in Prajiṋa Bharatii


Namaskar,
The editorial board of Prajiṋa Bharatii (PB) has once again published material that is misleading and not in accordance with  Sadguru’s teachings. This is antithetical as Prajiṋa Bharatii is meant to be the mouthpiece for Ananda Marga ideological pracára but instead it is misleading margiis and thereby doing negative pracár of Ananda Marga. This letter examines the misleading and fallacious text in Prajiṋa Bharatii article. And first we begin with Sadguru’s teaching.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “He [Parama Purusa] cannot create another Parama Puruśa like Himself. If someone becomes as vast as Parama Puruśa by ideating on Him, he or she becomes Parama Puruśa Himself; becomes one with Him. So Parama Puruśa remains one and only one – not two.” (1)

So there is no question of co-partnering with Taraka Brahma.


See scan of preposterous idea

Please see this following scan which is from the editorial of Prajiṋa Bharatii #250. There is a highly objectionable and preposterous idea which is as follows: “At this stage we do not remain ordinary human beings and become the Co-partner of Taraka Brahma.” This prior line (in red) from the Editorial goes against the fundamentals of Ananda Marga philosophy. About this more explanation is provided further down - after the below scan. 


Once again, this above scan is from the editorial of Prajiṋa Bharatii #250 - but if you read the intro to this scan skip to the next paragraph. There is a highly objectionable and preposterous idea which is as follows: “At this stage we do not remain ordinary human beings and become the Co-partner of Taraka Brahma.” This prior line (in red) from the Editorial goes against the fundamentals of Ananda Marga philosophy. About this more explanation is provided here below.


Why Parama Purus’a has no co-partner, He is Supreme-Self

Every Ananda Margii understands well that there cannot be multiple gods. As one advances on the spiritual path, in the highest stage, one merges in Parama Purus’a. They merge in the original God and do not form a second God. During the merger, the drop (i.e., the unit consciousness) becomes ocean (i.e., Cosmic consciousness). The existence of the drop ceases to exist. What remains is only the ocean. Unit is annihilated in Cosmic. Thus the idea that at the “highest stage” the “developed” human being “becomes” Co-partner is misleading. The supreme point of one’s development is merger with Brahma – total unification or Yoga. At that stage the unit does not exist anymore thus there is no question of becoming “Co-partner”.

Baba says, “What is Yoga according to Tantra? Tantra defines Yoga as “Saḿyoga Yoga Ityukto Jiivátmá Paramátmanah”. The unification of Jiivátman with Paramátman is termed Yoga. What is Paramátman and Jiivátman? The moon in the sky is like Paramátman and its reflection in the pond is Jiivátman. How to unify Jiivátman with Paramátman? When the moon in the sky reaches the moon in the pond then there is oneness between the two. The reflection of Paramátman on unit mind is Jiivátman. When the mind reaches Paramátman both Jiivátman and Paramátman become one. This is the explanation of Yoga according to Tantra.”(2)

We can thus see that the tantric definition of Yoga suggests that at the highest point of spiritual elevation the mind reaches Paramátamá and becomes one with That. There is no mention of unit being becoming Co-partner of Táraka Brahma.


Summary

We thus see that in the Prajiṋa Bharatii article an erroneous and false statement about the highest point of spiritual sádhaná has been made. It is problematic because the statement can mislead sincere sádhakas. to believe that one day they will become co-partner with Taraka Brahnma. This kind of understanding is detrimental to their progress.

Parama Purusa is always one - the Singular Entity. Those who do sadhana ultimately merge in Him. Always Parama Purusa is one.

The concept of there being two Supreme Entities is philosophically wrong. If that were to happen the universe would collapse in a second. Parama Purusa is always one.


Mice and termites brand pseudo-purodhas

Here is the list of confused, unqualified, pseudo purodhas who are busy in ruining Baba’s teachings. They are the culprits who are misleading innocent margiis and wts. In Guru’s 1990 discourse, He named those busy in ruining His teachings as mice and white ants. Baba warned margiis to be alert and that when such mice and termites ruin His teachings then we should give them a proper lesson and protect our scripture. The below is a list of obvious sinners. If you wish to read Guru’s discourse then let us know.

Dada V's deception unveiled: More proof

Dada Vimalananda’s deception unveiled:

More proof of Mexico land sale + More properties queued up to be sold



To: Respected General Secretary of AMPS

Namaskar Respected Dadaji,

In follow-up, I humbly place before you further evidence of the Mexico land scandal for your kind consideration and proper action.

Included herein, is a listing of 5 Ananda Marga properties in Mexico. Under SSNY Dada Vimalananda’s order, in 2009 Juan Francisco Osegueda Osario (Yogendra) paid the firm - Avaluos Trevino - 70,000 Mexican Pesos to appraise the property value of five Ananda Marga properties in Monterrey. Kindly see Addendum #1 below.

And those five properties were donated to Ananda Marga, yet instead of holding onto those properties of service works etc, Dada Vimalananda gave the order to sell those properties. And that is exactly what is going on - step by step. All the while, there is no financial accountability or transparency regarding the sale of such properties.

In my prior letter to you, I sent you proof of the sale of two properties:

House #1: Jose Mariano Abasolo #876, Centro Monterrey - valued in 2009 at more than four million Mexican Pesos -  4,385,631.00

House #2: Padra Raymundo Jardon #861, Centro Monterrey - valued in 2009 at almost five million Mexican Pesos - 4,901,973.30

And verily, the above two properties have been marked in red on the enclosed document - see Addendum #1.

So the property appraisal document enlists 5 holdings. To date, two of the have been sold - valued in 2009 at more than 9 million Mexican Pesos. The remaining three properties hold a value of more than 15 million Mexican Pesos, according to this 2009 appraisal. Today the value may be much more. 

What steps are being taken to ensure these three remaining properties are not sold. What precautionary measures have been enacted to keep Dada Vimalananda from selling these properties and pocketing the money. After all, that is why he had all five properties appraised. So if we fail to intervene, it is certain he will sell off these remaining three properties.

Here formally, Dadaji, I request you to order an inquiry commission - comprised of sincere margiis and wholetimer workers - that provides oversight of and safeguards our Ananda Marga land and property holdings in Mexico. Two of the five properties enlisted have already been sold - along with many other properties. That is a direct contravention of our Ananda Marga constitution and procedural orders. The sale of all such Ananda Marga (Mexico) properties demands review. And concrete measures need to be put in place to protect our remaining properties and landholdings from being illicitly sold.

In all good conscience, I could not close this letter without calling attention to the mysterious and untimely death of the margii who generously donated all such lands and properties - worth tens of millions of US dollars - to Ananda Marga Mexico.

Respected Dadaji, I request you to take the right course in addressing this matter and resolving this critical issue that is causing great harm in our Ananda Marga society.

SSNY Dada Vimalananda ordered brother Yogendra to pay 70,000 Mexican Pesos to the firm - Avaluos Trevino - for an appraisal of five Ananda Marga properties in Monterrey. The summary of that report is directly below. As you will see noted, two of the properties marked in red have already been sold proof of which I sent you in my prior mailing. Kindly also be informed this below appraisal document is widely accessible to the public - anyone can request a copy.
