Why Dada Sarvatmananda is guilty

In our Ananda Marga, Sadguru Baba has given strict parameters for remembering and honouring the deceased.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, "The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days." (1)
So when Dada Sarvatmananda started the dogma of the annual mahaprayan programme in Tiljala after 1990, he was grossly violating and going against Baba's rules and guidelines. Unfortunately, some innocent sadhakas have followed in Dada Sarvatmananda ’s footsteps and have begun hosting annual death day programmes for their deceased, worldly parents etc. Kindly have a look at the scene below. Here is the basic gist of the Hindi text:
"On this occasion of Mahaprayan Divas, I offer hundreds of pranams to my worldly father…."
The defining point is that the yearly mahaprayan (annual death day) dogma was created by Dada Sarvatmananda. So the below margii is merely emulating the dogma that B group invented. Thereafter, innocent margiis made copy-cat versions for their deceased family members. So those margiis are victims; it is not their fault. The entire blame lands firmly on the shoulders of Dada Sarvatmananda.
