Here is the announcement of the mahaprayan of Marhum Habibur Rahman, a devoted follower of Islam. As we know, mahaprayan signifies the death of a Muslim etc.
Marhum Habibur Rahman died on a Saturday night in the hospital at 9:53pm. He was 85 years old.
The program of mahaprayan is the custom for mortals who have made their departure from this world. So the entire concept of mahaprayan is not some lofty or extraordinary ideal to be used in association with Sadguru. The concept of mahaprayan simply means that person is dead.

Mahaprayan of senior Muslim leader
In the below announcement from a Bengali newspaper of my area, the mahaprayan term is highlighted in yellow; it is in Bengali script. If you search the term in Google you will surely find this article. In my Bengal, mahaprayan is a regular item in newspapers obituary column.
Dada Sarvatmananda has copied Islamic tomb worship / mahaprayan
This letter also examines how the organisers of the Tiljala mahaprayan program have emulated many aspects of the Muslim annual tomb worship mahaprayan ritual. In the traditional Islamic death ceremony they place decorative ornaments on top of the deceased’s tomb (i.e. samadhi).
Actually, such mahaprayan ceremonies (annual death day gatherings) have been popular in the Islamic tradition for hundreds and hundreds of years. They bury their dead at the time of mahaprayan and erect a tomb / samadhi and regularly worship the tomb on the anniversary of the death.
For mahaprayan a tomb is needed, and this is done only by Muslims. The Tiljala mahaprayan organisers have copied them in crafting their mahaprayan program. Herein kindly find a typical Islamic death ceremony tomb, i.e. mahaprayan.

How MPD ruins our spiritual life
The construct of an annual mahaprayan gathering violates the code of Caryacarya. All must consider this: No aspect of Ananda Marga ideology supports the program of an annual mahaprayan observance.
After all Baba is not an ordinary human being - He is not mortal. He is the all-pervading Parama Purusa and Sadguru. If one is not keeping this ideal in their heart, then they are not even on the first step of Ananda Marga spirituality. The initial phase of Ananda Marga spirituality starts with the feeling that Ista is always present with me.
Remember, in Ananda Marga the shraddha ceremony / shraddhainjali is only done for human beings - not Sadguru. The moment one thinks that Sadguru has died, then their devotional life will collapse. In the devotional sphere, one must never think that Baba is no more. Yet that is the overall message of their mahaprayan function.
Open questions to MPD attendees
Here are key points everyone should know about the mahaprayan / shraddhainjali dogma:
Attending Tiljala dogma means supporting the cause; annual death day.
Some wrongly justify that, “What is wrong, I am just going to Tiljala for the kiirtana, not for the sake of the mahaprayan program.” Here it should be clear: Going to the annual mahaprayan gathering for the sake of doing kiirtan is just their justification. Merely attending that mahaprayan gathering signifies your wholehearted support of that event.
Of late, both H and B group have used kiirtana programs as a strategy to reclaim and recapture various AMPS buildings for their group cause. And those who participate in that kiirtana are victims of their groupist agenda. That is what happened in Goddha, Ananda Nagar, Bhopal, and numerous other places where H and B were battling for control of that jagriti etc. Kiitana programs are their main arsenal for capturing those properties from the opposite group. This happened so many times in the past and will happen in the future also as this is their cherished strategy.

Attending anti-Caryacarya program is sinful
The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days. That is the rule as per Baba’s guideline in Caryacarya
Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, "The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days." (1)
So by participating in an annual death day / mahaprayan / shraddhainjali prorgram, those attendees are directly contravening Baba’s teaching in Caryacarya. Unfortunately, our brothers and sisters are committing sin, knowingly and unknowingly.
AV(B) book polluted: Bangla readers befooled
Baba never spoke or mentioned the word mahaprayan in His discourses. B group intentionally corrupted Ananda Vacanamrtam part 12 to justify his selfish agenda of mahaprayan. Then he cited the mahaprayan term of Ananda Vacanamrtam part 12 (Bengali edition) and underlined it and highlighted in his MPD propaganda brochures and pamphlets and told that, “Look, Baba Himself used the term mahaprayan in AV-12.” This is how B group befooled Bangla-speaking, village margiis.
Of course, Baba never spoke the term “mahaprayan” in His discourses as this was B group’s own insertion.
Verily, B group pranced about showing this bogus mahaprayan term to margiis all around and some got convinced. They did not realise that this is not Baba’s term - rather Sarvatmananda slyly inserted his dirt into the Bangla edition of Baba’s Fiesch discourse. This is how B group befooled some margiis and proved that he himself is just a reincarnation of those dogmatic, exploitative priests of old.

Trick
To impose the mahaprayan dogma, the chief inventor borrowed a page out of the dogmatic religious playbook. For ions, the dogmatic religions have maintained their grip of power by doctoring their scripture. That means whenever they wanted to convince their followers of any point, then first they would alter their scripture and insert their own agenda. Then they would show that to their followers to convince them. By this way they kept those followers under their thumb. And that is exactly what Sarvatmananda did as Publications Secretary: he inserted the term “mahaprayan” into Ananda Marga scripture.
Falsely justifying MPD by deception
The dogmatic leaders and inventors of the shraddhainjali / mahaprayan (মহাপ্রয়াণ) / tomb worship dogma, repeatedly resort to a particular quote when justifying the existence of this annual tomb day ceremony. Dadas want to prove that the mahaprayan term is God’s command - God’s term. To prove that our Dadas found one pravacan of Fiesch and wts told that in this discourse the term mahaprayan has been used so it is a holy term and the mahaprayan function is approved. In this way B group misled Bengali-speaking margiis.
Here is the example:
Ananda Marga ideology states, "Táraka Brahma comes here on a particular date, leaves this earth also on a particular date, takes the birth of His quinquelemental body, the death of His quinquelemental body." (Ananda Vacanamrtam - 12, The Coming of Táraka Brahma, EGD 13 May 1979 Fiesch)The above quote was originally delivered by Baba in English. So those dogmatic MPD leaders translated the above teaching in Bangla and inserted the term mahaprayan in association with Táraka Brahma. This was their scheme to try and validate the mahaprayan programme. Dadas lay claim that Baba Himself used the term mahaprayan. But that is outrightly false. B group manipulated the translation and inserted the term “mahaprayan” in hopes of befooling people into thinking that mahaprayan is really something legit - when really it is just one awful ritual.
Shraddhainjali is never done for the Supreme Entity who is ever-present. Rather, the shraddhainjali dogma is done for mortals in non-margii society. It is not approved by Ananda Marga philosophy. Shraddhainjali is not in the pre-1990 Caryacarya book and Sadguru Baba rejects this dogmatic shraddhainjali / yearly offering to the deceased.

Hypocrisy
Sadguru Baba is guiding you and in the next breath they say He is dead - mahaprayan. True bhaktas know that there is no such thing as mahaprayan for Sadguru Baba. As the Sadguru He never passes away, He is omnipresent. So those Wts who believe in & propagate that Sadguru is dead are confused. Actually they are displaying hypocritical behaviour.
When our avadhutas / acaryas give initiation, or revise anyone’s lessons, or give further lessons of sadhana, our Dadas say, “I am just a medium - Sadguru Taraka Brahma Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji is teaching you and He is ever-present."
So in one breath our Wt dadas say that Sadguru Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji is guiding you and in the next breath they say He is dead - mahaprayan. That is both hypocritical and sinful. Hypocritical because they are telling one thing and doing something else. They are telling that Guru is no more in their mahaprayan program, yet when teaching sadhana they are relying on Him. And it is sinful because it is abusive against Guru.
It is similar to your own children playing before you and talking among themselves that, “My mother is dead.” As a mother, how will you feel. And not only that, they go one step ahead, before your eyes they started commemorating your annual death day ceremony.
How do you feel about their ignorance?
True bhaktas never participate in the dogmatic annual death day ceremony / mahaprayan of the ever-present God. That is against pre-1990 Caryacarya.

Multitasking is a false belief
Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “Whenever it thinks it has one single object. Nevertheless the speed of the mind’s action is baffling. While concentrating on a particular work we may also hear others about us [[talking]]. This is due to the fast acting power of the mind, which leads us to believe that the thought currents of the mind are unbroken. For example, while witnessing the pictures in cinema, we also enjoy the dialogue. The activities of the mind can be understood by diligently applying the mind and we see that the mind can do only one thing at a time.” (1)

Treating food poisoning
Baba says, "Antidotes of poison - green turmeric, spinach leaves, basil...mainly black basil and secondly white basil or any kinds of basil." (1)
Baba says, "If some negative effect is going on due to food poisoning or because of eating poisonous fish, then without any delay a sufficient quantity of spinach leaves should be eaten and by that way the poison will be antidoted." (2)
