When artists are of dubious character then what to do

Note: Please bear in mind that those who do not give importance to Baba's divine teachings this letter is not for them.

Here is an important point related with a bad and characterless artist. To understand this matter fully please read Baba’s below teaching. Without understanding this following guideline from Baba, this topic will remain elusive.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "The youth of a country are attracted to artists; it is therefore the duty of society and the state to monitor these artists' ideals and character. Otherwise they may exert a harmful influence on young men and women who are the future hope of society.”

“...It is essential for artists to have impeccable conduct, a healthy lifestyle and strength of character. If those whom youths respect as ideal men and women possess an ideal character, the characters of those whom they influence will no doubt also be positively affected. In addition, ideal artists and actors who have a strong character will be able to express their artistic brilliance more sweetly and completely.”

“Characterless, drunken or greedy artists will be considered liabilities by their fans and society...strict vigilance should be kept over the purity of their [artists] individual conduct. They should not become the cause of a disease which invades the whole social body like a cancer.

“If actors and actresses fail to acquire a basic level of personal purity or are reluctant to acquire it, it will be the duty of society and the state to compel them to lead good lives by creating circumstantial pressure. No matter how talented they may be, immoral actors and actresses will have to be deprived of their right to exhibit their artistic talents, and sent to reform schools." (1)

In His above guideline, Baba states that artists (singers, dancers, actors, performers etc) must be of good character and adhere to the moral codes and follow a healthy lifestyle - and not indulge in same-sex relations. Yet all too often these artists lead licentious lives. According to Ananda Marga philosophy, this must stop. All artists must be held to a strict moral standard, or be taken off the stage and sent to reform school.

It is well-known throughout Ananda Marga, that Jyotsna (Jyoshna) Latrobe has a long history of impropriety in the form of lesbianism (*).

Even worse is that she has allegedly preyed upon unsuspecting margii sisters, during and after years and years of co-habitating with her female sex partner, i.e. gay relations. So sister Jyotsna suffers from a dual problem.

First is that she practices and promotes gay relations which are not accepted in Ananda Marga. And secondly, she seemingly has a penchant for using her allurement as an artist to draw naive and innocent sisters into her fold of gay sexual relations.


Look what the Gurukul website has done

Now see here below how the Gurukul website is promoting Jyotsna. As the head of Gurukul, Dada Shambhushivananda should take care of the situation. As it is against Guru’s principles to highlight degraded artists. Warning: Sister J is a confirmed lesbian and alleged sexual predator. Such artists should not be appreciated due to their low character. We kindly request all readers to communicate with respected Shambhushivananda so he can arrange to have this taken down from the Gurukul website. It is quite insulting and will only serve to degraded the mind of our teenager students etc.

Defeats the very purpose of holding a retreat 

Those artists who support and perform same-sex relations, should not be allowed because their presence defeats the very purpose of holding a retreat. A retreat is done to educate common folks about our Ananda Marga lifestyle. Thus all instructors, guides, and teachers at our Ananda Marga retreats must be of the highest moral character.

Even in materialistic countries we see that regardless of what is acceptable in the general society, certain professions like judges and teachers are held to a higher moral standard. For instance, adult pornography is legal in the USA, but those who have worked in that industry will never be allowed to become a teacher. And many such examples can be given.

Thus when Ananda Marga does not appreciate sex for sex's sake (filthy relations), then those involved in such dealings should not be leading seminars at our Ananda Marga retreats. Their presence at the retreat will be toxic.

Note: It should be borne in mind that at last year’s New Year's retreat in Suva Sector (Tyalgum Ridge Retreat, Northern NSW, 27 Dec 2014 - 02 Jan 2015) the organisers went against Guru’s teaching by inviting an artist with an unhealthy lifestyle to lead a seminar. They allowed Jyotsna to lead despite the fact that she engages in, supports, and propagates same sex relations (i.e. women having sexual engagement with other women).

So, placing her on a pedestal and inviting her to lead a seminar at last year’s New Year's retreat in Suva sector was a recipe for disaster. It was an overt violation of Sadguru's guideline. Those organisers should have heeded Sadguru's warning and removed sister J from the panel of presenters.

Those new to Ananda marga may not know Baba’s teaching that marriage is between different genders not the same. Margiis are not like animals in human form but far evolved beings - devas. Here is Baba’s teaching on this issue of gay and lesbian relations,  and what constitutes a marital bond in our Ananda Marga.

According to Guru, marriage must be between members of the opposite sex (i.e. heterosexual union) and not members of the same sex (i.e.homosexual union). The husband must be a male and the wife must be a female. Whereas in same-sex relations either the husband is a female or the wife is a male.

Sadguru Baba says, "Those who accepted this new arrangement were declared married, and the other members of their society would be witnesses to the marriage ceremony, to bless the newly-married couple and pledge their cooperation to them. The Sanskrit equivalent for marriage is viváha (vi – vah + ghaiṋ): it means, after the ceremony, the man and woman can no longer live as libertines or as irresponsible so-called family people. They have to discharge their full obligations as bharttá and kalatra, responsible husband and responsible wife." (1)

Next is another guideline from Sadguru that marriage must always be between a man and a woman - not sexual relations between members of the same sex.

Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji states, "Another Sanskrit equivalent for “woman” is nárii, which is feminine gender. But Shiva used the term kalatra, in the neuter; for to her husband a woman is a wife, but to her children and other members of the society, she is as dignified as her male counterpart. So by declaring a married lady to be kalatra, Shiva gave her special status, and addressed her in neuter terms." (2)

Following is another of Sadguru's teachings that vivaha is tantra’s special ceremony of marriage between a man and a woman - not members of the same sex, ie male having physical relations with another male, nor a female physically indulged with another female.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "The liberal meaning of the term viváha is “live one's life in a new way with a special type of responsibility”. This is the underlying significance of the Shaeva system of marriage." (3)


Marriage is always between a male and a female

In Sadguru's below below example, He is guiding that marriage is always between a male and a female, never between two females or two males.

Sadguru Baba states, "In His life, Shiva Himself married with this commitment. We can say without the least hesitation that Shiva was the first person in this world to marry in the proper sense of the term. He was eager to see that the married women did their duties properly towards their husbands, that is, that they always took care to remove the difficulties of their husbands." (4)

Verily in Sadguru's next example, all can understand that marriage is between a man and a woman.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Thus it was His strict instruction, Yad bharttureva hitamicchati tad kalatram [“If in the mind of the wife, there is the sincere desire for the welfare of her husband, the family will be blissful and a thatched house will become a golden home”]." (5)


Let’s see:
gay supporters grasp this Baba's teaching or not?

This following quote is well-explained and shows how marriage is only between a male and a female and not the same gender. Since the inception of marriage during Lord Shiva's time, marriage has been between a man and a woman. And that is what Baba has approved for AMPS.

So when the point of same sex marriage is raised then one should give Baba's teaching that it is always between a man and a woman - not between a man and a man etc. In the west, some so-called open-minded people are confused and always try and bring some argument in favour of gay marriage, but their logic has no legs to stand upon.

Here begins Baba’s teaching that marriage is a union exclusively between a male and a female - not between two females or two males.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "But Shiva did more than that: He declared that women must be kalatra, which means that women must discharge their obligations to their husbands and their children in such a way that the latter will not have the least difficulty." (6)

Until we get our own governing bodies back in line or order I propose we utilise the legal system to undo illegal and unethical behavior of our leadership.

I urge those holding.any AMPS  office to arrest and/or to bring this Dada to court charging him with embezzlement and grand larceny so the money can be given back to the organization and do so with other Acaryas who steal from Baba's beloved missionary organization.  Moreover, let us remind all WTs that we will continue to do the same with them at any time in the future: arrest anyone who misappropriates money and property from the organization until we can again retain honest leadership.

Misrepresentation of AM Teachings in Prajiṋa Bharatii

The editorial board of Prajiṋa Bharatii (PB) has once again published material that is misleading and not in accordance with  Sadguru’s teachings. This is antithetical as Prajiṋa Bharatii is meant to be the mouthpiece for Ananda Marga ideological pracára but instead it is misleading margiis and thereby doing negative pracár of Ananda Marga. This letter examines the misleading and fallacious text in Prajiṋa Bharatii article. And first we begin with Sadguru’s teaching.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “He [Parama Purusa] cannot create another Parama Puruśa like Himself. If someone becomes as vast as Parama Puruśa by ideating on Him, he or she becomes Parama Puruśa Himself; becomes one with Him. So Parama Puruśa remains one and only one – not two.” (1)

So there is no question of co-partnering with Taraka Brahma.


See scan of preposterous idea

Please see this following scan which is from the editorial of Prajiṋa Bharatii #250. There is a highly objectionable and preposterous idea which is as follows: “At this stage we do not remain ordinary human beings and become the Co-partner of Taraka Brahma.” This prior line (in red) from the Editorial goes against the fundamentals of Ananda Marga philosophy. About this more explanation is provided further down - after the below scan.

Once again, this above scan is from the editorial of Prajiṋa Bharatii #250 - but if you read the intro to this scan skip to the next paragraph. There is a highly objectionable and preposterous idea which is as follows: “At this stage we do not remain ordinary human beings and become the Co-partner of Taraka Brahma.” This prior line (in red) from the Editorial goes against the fundamentals of Ananda Marga philosophy. About this more explanation is provided here below.


Why Parama Purus’a has no co-partner, He is Supreme-Self

Every Ananda Margii understands well that there cannot be multiple gods. As one advances on the spiritual path, in the highest stage, one merges in Parama Purus’a. They merge in the original God and do not form a second God. During the merger, the drop (i.e., the unit consciousness) becomes ocean (i.e., Cosmic consciousness). The existence of the drop ceases to exist. What remains is only the ocean. Unit is annihilated in Cosmic. Thus the idea that at the “highest stage” the “developed” human being “becomes” Co-partner is misleading. The supreme point of one’s development is merger with Brahma – total unification or Yoga. At that stage the unit does not exist anymore thus there is no question of becoming “Co-partner”.

Baba says, “What is Yoga according to Tantra? Tantra defines Yoga as “Saḿyoga Yoga Ityukto Jiivátmá Paramátmanah”. The unification of Jiivátman with Paramátman is termed Yoga. What is Paramátman and Jiivátman? The moon in the sky is like Paramátman and its reflection in the pond is Jiivátman. How to unify Jiivátman with Paramátman? When the moon in the sky reaches the moon in the pond then there is oneness between the two. The reflection of Paramátman on unit mind is Jiivátman. When the mind reaches Paramátman both Jiivátman and Paramátman become one. This is the explanation of Yoga according to Tantra.”(2)

We can thus see that the tantric definition of Yoga suggests that at the highest point of spiritual elevation the mind reaches Paramátamá and becomes one with That. There is no mention of unit being becoming Co-partner of Táraka Brahma.


Summary

We thus see that in the Prajiṋa Bharatii article an erroneous and false statement about the highest point of spiritual sádhaná has been made. It is problematic because the statement can mislead sincere sádhakas. to believe that one day they will become co-partner with Taraka Brahnma. This kind of understanding is detrimental to their progress.

Parama Purusa is always one - the Singular Entity. Those who do sadhana ultimately merge in Him. Always Parama Purusa is one.

The concept of there being two Supreme Entities is philosophically wrong. If that were to happen the universe would collapse in a second. Parama Purusa is always one.


Mice and termites brand pseudo-purodhas

Here is the list of confused, unqualified, pseudo purodhas who are busy in ruining Baba’s teachings. They are the culprits who are misleading innocent margiis and wts. In Guru’s 1990 discourse, He named those busy in ruining His teachings as mice and white ants. Baba warned margiis to be alert and that when such mice and termites ruin His teachings then we should give them a proper lesson and protect our scripture. The below is a list of obvious sinners. More proof of Mexico land sale + More properties queued up to be sold

In follow-up, I humbly place before you further evidence of the Mexico land scandal for your kind consideration and proper action.

Included herein, is a listing of 5 Ananda Marga properties in Mexico. Under SSNY Dada Vimalananda’s order, in 2009 Juan Francisco Osegueda Osario (Yogendra) paid the firm - Avaluos Trevino - 70,000 Mexican Pesos to appraise the property value of five Ananda Marga properties in Monterrey. Kindly see Addendum #1 below.

And those five properties were donated to Ananda Marga, yet instead of holding onto those properties of service works etc, Dada Vimalananda gave the order to sell those properties. And that is exactly what is going on - step by step. All the while, there is no financial accountability or transparency regarding the sale of such properties.

In my prior letter to you, I sent you proof of the sale of two properties:

House #1: Jose Mariano Abasolo #876, Centro Monterrey - valued in 2009 at more than four million Mexican Pesos -  4,385,631.00

House #2: Padra Raymundo Jardon #861, Centro Monterrey - valued in 2009 at almost five million Mexican Pesos - 4,901,973.30

And verily, the above two properties have been marked in red on the enclosed document - see Addendum #1.

So the property appraisal document enlists 5 holdings. To date, two of the have been sold - valued in 2009 at more than 9 million Mexican Pesos. The remaining three properties hold a value of more than 15 million Mexican Pesos, according to this 2009 appraisal. Today the value may be much more. 

What steps are being taken to ensure these three remaining properties are not sold. What precautionary measures have been enacted to keep Dada Vimalananda from selling these properties and pocketing the money. After all, that is why he had all five properties appraised. So if we fail to intervene, it is certain he will sell off these remaining three properties.

Here formally, Dadaji, I request you to order an inquiry commission - comprised of sincere margiis and wholetimer workers - that provides oversight of and safeguards our Ananda Marga land and property holdings in Mexico. Two of the five properties enlisted have already been sold - along with many other properties. That is a direct contravention of our Ananda Marga constitution and procedural orders. The sale of all such Ananda Marga (Mexico) properties demands review. And concrete measures need to be put in place to protect our remaining properties and landholdings from being illicitly sold.

In all good conscience, I could not close this letter without calling attention to the mysterious and untimely death of the margii who generously donated all such lands and properties - worth tens of millions of US dollars - to Ananda Marga Mexico.

Respected Dadaji, I request you to take the right course in addressing this matter and resolving this critical issue that is causing great harm in our Ananda Marga society.

Sadguru Baba says, “In the world today a handful of people who do no physical work, but live by their wits, have appropriated to themselves most of the wealth of humanity, so they are able to buy comparatively expensive foods, and use them to satisfy their taste buds. As a result, they, on the one hand, swell with unnecessary fat, while, on the other hand, those people doing hard manual labour are forced to live in poverty and deprived of the ghee, butter and sweets they need to maintain their bodies...So my point is that obesity is primarily a disease of well-off, non-labouring society.” (1)

Ananda Marga Yogic Remedies guides us, “High-salaried office workers, rich businessmen and parasitic politicians are those who suffer most from obesity…. Another distinguishing mark of such people is that they are most greedy for those foods which are most fattening; that is, when invited outside, they will never even by mistake eat much in the way of vegetable preparations – instead they will eat a lot of luci, fish, meat and sweets. As they grow older and their livers become weak, they will lose that voracious appetite. Then they will sorrowfully say to people that they cannot consume food as they used to. Their muscles become flaccid and they begin to suffer from acidity, constipation or intestinal troubles. Fat accumulated on the chest affects the heart and lungs and makes it difficult for these organs to function.” (2)

Sadly, the problem of obesity is prevalent amongst our Wts. Here above is one obese Dada. Obesity itself is a deadly disease. Those who are obese will in due course face life-threatening diseases like coronary heart disease, cancer, and strokes.

And verily 70% of our Wts are not regular in doing asanas and fasting. And that is the problem. In our organisation so many Dadas are suffering from high blood pressure and high cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes etc.

Nowadays, many Dadas in uniform are obese. Thus we are facing a deficit situation with our workers. We are losing existing workers faster than we are gaining new ones. All in all it is an unfortunate state of affairs.

Note 1: How to treat obesity

- Dietary guidelines for treating obesity

Yogic Treatments teaches us, "Some obese people try simply to eat less, surmising that in doing so they will be able to lose weight. This is not a correct approach, because such dieting can weaken the patient to such an extent that he or she cannot even get up or walk. What the patient needs is a simple, carefully selected diet. For instance:

1. One should drink about four or five seers of water daily, but not much at a time. As far as possible the patient should always mix lemon juice with the water.

2. Completely stop taking non-vegetarian food, ghee and oil. Three-fourths to a seer of diluted milk should be taken, a little at a time, a number of times during the day.

3. Depending upon the appetite, all kinds of fruit in plentiful quantity, preferably sour juicy types, can be taken. These fruits are very beneficial for the obese.

4. Reduce or eliminate rice, rut́i and pulses, and instead eat green vegetables and soups made from them in greater quantity.

5. One must reduce the use of raw and refined sugar, but may use a little honey – nor more than three spoonfuls a day." (3)


- Important dos and don'ts for treating obesity

"Rules of fasting and sun-bathing should be observed by patients. Generally speaking, obesity is the disease of the sedentary and the greedy. So as far as possible, simple food should be eaten. Instead of luci and puri, dry rut́i should be taken. And patients should give up their habit of sitting and giving orders, and instead should do the work by their own physical efforts." (4)

Fake bhakta mostly thinks about self

False devotees think about themselves whereas true devotees think about God and want to serve God. By this approach they reach to the Goal - life becomes meaningful; otherwise, they are just fake devotees and they take birth and die again and again, suffering in this transitory world.

"True devotees can think only of Parama Puruśa – their every action is to please Parama Puruśa. For them, there is only sádhaná and selfless service to the universe – and because selfless service is to please the Lord, that also helps sádhaná. Tapah [selfless service] is part of sádhaná. True devotees are unable to think of right and wrong, but because they wish only to please Parama Puruśa, they can only do good, all their actions will be benevolent. So you are not just to worry about right and wrong, about dos and don'ts – you are to develop that true devotion for Parama Puruśa…..But of course, until you develop such devotion, you must distinguish what to do from what not." For universal interest, we are presenting the opinions expressed by various margiis as they are discussing the history of how after 1990 our AMPS organisation took various twists and turns and reached to this present quagmire. The following posts were circulated on Facebook.

[06/12 (Dec 6, 2015) 12:05 PM] N. Kumar: Floated with ego of having GS post, Sarvatmananda conspired to remain GS for his lifetime. So he gagged PP dada, made him God-like, and made PP aloof from the reach of normal wts and margiis. PP dada was forced not to attend D.C. and panchajanya in which he was strictly regular before becoming PP.

He converted Masap business into a personal smuggling venture and developed so many shooters to finish his opponents.

He [Sarvatmananda] created the hoax of Amara Bengali movement and invested a lot of money in Bengal neglecting other areas, and scammed crores of rupees in his pocket and for his supporters too.

Frustrated by this scam and injustice, some influential Wts like Tadbhavananda denied to further invest in Bengal and shifted to Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. To counter any revolt, Sarvatmananda planted his agents in Hindi areas. He planted Rudrananda as his agent to counter Tadbhavananda. Rudrananda successfully countered Tadbhavananda his agent ji - as instructed by his the then boss Sarvatmananda.

Sarvatmananda planted several other agents to counter Tadbhavananda ji and introduced a pseudo bhakti movement. Pranavatmakananda targeted the Active LFTs and margii boys in collecting books, magazines, and recording Baba story. Sanjay who was ADLO of Bihar was convinced to get a career which completely broke the Proutist movement initiated by Tadbhavananda ji in Bihar.

[06/12 (Dec 6, 2015) 12:30 PM] N. Kumar: See there had been a deal between Rudrananda - who was ousted by BABA from all meetings of Ananda Marga - and Sarvatmananda.

Rudrananda was accused of being an informer of CBI and got Jagadiishvarananda ji, who was wanted for writing the book ("The flame which burn upward") about how Baba was tortured. 

After emergency a tribunal found Rudrananda guilty and sent him training centre and was not allowed to attend any meeting of organisation.

Since Rudrananda was having contact and shrewd oratory power, he was bought back by Sarvatmananda as his agent to counter Tadbhavananda ji revolt. Rudrananda was awarded purodhaship, central posting for being good stooge of Sarvatmananda.

But alashhhhh😜

Sarvatmananda was ditched by his own agent - the great Rudrananda, who created an anti-Sarvatmanada group and defeated him in power politics.

O’ Prabhu, unexpectedly You have opened the door and come

Note: Only those who sincerely practice the higher lessons of sahaja yoga meditation can understand this song in the depths of their heart. ​

Prabhat Samgiita Intro: This song expresses how sometimes devotees do sadhana and spiritual practices but do not feel the proximity of Parama Purusa. For whatever reason the mind was unable to concentrate properly. Yet then, either in dream or in a relaxed moment, one instantly feels His spiritual bliss and closeness. The central idea is that sometimes one may not feel spiritual bliss when attempting to concentrate deeply, whereas in more casual times one may feel His divine bliss. That is what is expressed in this song.

"Tumi ele prabhu ei abeláy, sárá din dhare d́ekechi,
tomáre duár khuliyá durásháy..." (Prabhat Samgiita 2055)

Purport:

O’ Prabhu, I have called You continuously throughout the whole day - always. With my japa, ishvara pranidhana, sadhana, dhyana, kiirtan, and bhajans, I was remembering You. By opening the doors & windows of my mind I was calling You. But You did not come. Yet now, unexpectedly, in this untimely manner, You have come. It is Your grace.

O’ Parama Purusa, could You not hear my cry, or maybe You could hear it but You did not listen. When You were not coming, I was feeling hopeless. I thought that You could not hear my cry, otherwise surely You would have come. In the end, I thought that You were never going to come, but when I fell asleep in the lap of tiredness, then in darkness You came and knocked on my door. You came to me in my dream- it is Your causeless grace alone.

Baba, I thought it may have been my unjustifiable demand, or I might not have had the requisite virtue to have You. In that despondent mood I was thinking that I have neither the strength of sadhana nor have I done great social service & sacrifice. So I am utterly unqualified to have Your darshan. O’ Baba grace personified Entity, please be gracious on me and shower Your ahetukii krpa [1] due to Your own nature.

Baba, please bless me with parabhakti...

[1] Ahaetukii krpa': Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “In this universe of ours everything is causal. Everything is haetuka; everything is causal. Only three entities are of non-causal character. One is the transmutation of the Non-Attributional Entity into the attributional faculty [Saguna Brahma]. The second one is the creation of this universe, and the third one—the krpá of Parama Purusa. “All human beings are to be served with the same steadiness in all the three strata – physical, mental and spiritual – and you have to render the service by ascribing Náráyańahood to the served. ~ In PB #247 Case: Self-glorification - recipe for degeneration ~

Warning: Please excuse me. If you (a) blindly support a particular person or persons, (b) hold them above Ananda Marga teachings (c) deem them to be beyond question, and / or (d) do not like to hear genuine and healthy criticism, then do not read any further. This letter is written with the purpose and intention that the standard of our AMPS Wt cadre can be better. By this way, the whole Ananda Marga society will be benefited - including the dadas discussed below. Most importantly Guru will be glorified and presented in the proper light.

Namaskar,
Our existence is a divine gift bestowed upon us by Parama Purus’a. The only way unit beings are to respond to this causeless grace is doing His work and singing his glory, i.e., Kiirttana. However, some people, mistakenly, instead of singing His glory get indulged in their own self-glorification. They forget that their petty existence is but a shadow of that great truth, i.e., Parama Purus’a. By getting involved in self-praise, these people gratify their small ‘i’ which in turn distances them from the Cosmic ‘I’. This pushes people into an abyss of self aggrandizement and thereby degenerates them. This letter presents a related case in which self-aggrandizing behavior of a group of Ananda Margiis is reported.


Baba teaches self-applause is rather boring for others

Baba teaches us that, “They forget that their self-applause is rather boring for others.”

““Kiirttaniiyah sadáharih”. Kiirtana should be done on Hari and on no other entity. One should not praise oneself or any other person. There are many people who are very fond of praising themselves by telling everyone what wonderful things they have done, but, as mentioned in this s’loka, kiirtana is not for one’s own self but for Hari. Even though people are taught to do kiirtana for Hari, they still make the mistake of praising themselves too much. Sometimes their self-praise is so intense that others are obliged to say, “Please stop praising yourself so much.” They forget that their self-applause is rather boring for others. Human beings should realize that no one likes to hear the self-praise of others.” (1)

Thus, kiirtana means singing the glory of the Supreme, i.e. Parama Purusa - not any unit being or oneself.

And this Prabhat Samgiita composition guides us how ideal devotees behave: “A'mi nijere praca'r karibo na'..."  (PS #337)

Meaning: I will never glorify my own existence. I will never propagate about my own personality...

Thus, in any narrative, one must not focus and highlight one’s own petty existence. Rather the aim should be to glorify the Supreme Entity - Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji.


How they indulge in self-praise

Dada C and other margiis reported the proceedings of DMS held in Purnea. In Prajiṋa Bharatii magazine, in these proceedings, Dada C and the other ma’rgiis are glorifying themselves as the ones due to whom the DMS program was successful, so to speak. The whole purpose of DMS is for propagation of dharma and Parama Purusá Baba’s ideals. There is no place for glorification of any individual. Yet, see in below passage how such people are glorifying PP dada & themselves - not the Parama Purusa Baba. However, here the spiritual program of DMS is reduced to a social function driven by a group of people.


Self-glorification will bring degradation

Due to Sadguru Baba's divine teachings, Ananda Margiis (Wts and family margiis) follow a more sentient way of living than the common mass. This applies to diet, dress, communication style, and numerous other avenues. Internally every sadhaka has a personal relation with Parama Purusa and externally looks upon all as a manifestation of the Supreme - all are brothers and sisters.

In contrast, usually in this materialistic era, money, power, privilege, prestige, & post are everything. This is the general trend these days where one central theme is rampant: The tendency to glorify oneself, i.e. self-glorification.

Most Ananda Margiis are aware that self-glorification is not good. Internally most do not feel comfortable with this so they divert the mind in a positive direction. For sadhakas, it is universally known that giving way to self-glorification will bring about one's degradation.


Baba's guidelines:
self-praise is anti-dharma

Praising and highlighting oneself is directly against our Ananda Marga mores - against our Ananda Marga way of life.

Regarding people involved in self-praise Baba says, “I have done this, I have done that. I am not an ordinary man.” This is a psychic disease. Actually, vanity is a psychic disease, a psychic ailment.” [1]

Further, Baba talks about people who self-glorify. “I have donated so much. I have done this. I have done that.” You say this. But wherefrom doth that energy come? It is not your individual energy. If you are not given food or water for a few days, what will happen? You will not have any energy. You cannot create any energy. Through food, physical energy is transmuted into your individual vital energy.” [2]
  
“You do something with the help of your intellect. But where from doth the intellect come? From Him. He is the perennial source of all energies – physical or intellectual or spiritual. You are not the owner of any energy or any force or any other mundane or supramundane object. You are simply to serve with His energy, with His intellect, with His spirit.” [2]

“So karmádhyakśa. He is the lord of all karma, not you. You are simply a machine. You must not forget this fact, that you are simply a machine. You are not the machine-man. You should not have this sort of vanity. You should not say that you are the machine-man, that you have done this or you have done that.” [2]

Sadguru says, "Human beings are made of flesh and bones. If their heart or lungs stop functioning, in that case they will be lifted onto the shoulders of 4 other people in order to get thrown onto the funeral pyre. When this is the situation of human beings, where is the scope for self-glorification?" [3]

When human life is so delicate and one will have to take such help from others in their final hour of need, then how can anyone think they are so great and praise oneself.

And here are more teachings that warn of the dangers and lowliness of self-promotion and self-glorification.

Ananda Marga philosophy guides us, "Why on earth should he indulge in self-publicity? To whom will he publicize himself? Such acts are the antics of common, avaricious people with beggar-like mentality." [4]

Ananda Marga teachings state, "Your vanity may increase. You may think "I have done this, I have done that, I am not an ordinary man'. This is a psychic disease." [5]

Sadguru Baba says, "A person boasts of learning, intellect and fortune. But nothing is eternal. Therefore one who boasts of anything of this world is a fool." [6]

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "When any work is done, the concerning sa’dhaka is not to be given any credit; the credit should be given to Parama Purus'a." [7]

So it is evident that there is no scope in our Ananda Marga lifestyle for self-praise.


Street dwellers, corrupt politicians, cheating businessmen, and
debauched and corrupt government officials, and pseudo-margiis, you name it

Please see here below scans of Prajina Bharatii #247. They have taken several pages to enlist the names of all kinds of people - x, y, z, Tom, Dick, Harry - a long list of their names those who wanted to be praised - even the street dwellers, corrupt politicians, cheating businessmen, and debauched and corrupt government officials, and pseudo-margiis - you name it - who were hungry for name. How much you can imagine and not imagine their names have been mentioned for doing a “wonderful job.” If you read these pages of self-glorification it will be nauseating. This is the ugliest display I have seen in Prajina Bharati. In a gross way, countless names have been listed about their “great deeds.” Until you read this yourself you not get the putrid taste and smell of this Prajina Bharatii  writing which goes against the basic fundamentals of Ananda Marga. In Ananda Marga self-praise is very negative. And that very negative self-glorification is going on here. They forgot the basic ethics of Ananda Marga.


Summary

The DMS program is a system graciously provided by Parama Purus’a Baba so that sádhakas can together create a spiritual momentum to collectively move towards Him. It is not a social program which is organized by some group and headed by a human being. As Ananda Márgiis we should understand that we are the tools run by Him. It is beyond our strengths to organize any event of this type. Those of us who get an opportunity to do Baba’s work, should in our own minds be grateful to Him for His generosity to choose us and go boasting around how we “managed” the work. This act of self-glorification will not only have a degenerating effect on our minds but also squeeze the sweet spiritual vibration from the work getting done by us.

See the below scans how Ác. Cidambara’nanda Avt. and Shri. Pradumna Narayan Singh ji did not take care of aforementioned issues and got involved in self-praise regarding the DMS program they arranged. In addition, they provided undue importance to PP Dada. Yet all praise and recognition should have been towards Sadguru Baba and A’nanda Ma’rga teachings, provided graciously by Him.

Achintlal ji vice president of our organizing committee along with ASD volunteers. After taking rest for sometime and performing daily activities in the Baba quarter of Bhagalpur the caravan of PP Dada left for Purnea. A squad of thirty five motorbikes driven by ASD volunteers escorted PP Dada from Purnea to Gaya. Dada’s caravan was stopped by márgiis at various places to welcome it by flowers and garlands.

We can see that undue importance to PP Dada has been given instead of the true subject of DMS, i.e., Dharma. However, here the spiritual program of DMS is reduced to a social function driven by a group of people.

It is sad that the Dada who had the yoga reproductive massage centre in Australia - under the direction of Dada Rudrananda - is now suffering from terminal cancer. And these days he is posted in Agra.

After founding the female reproductive organ massage center - which he ran and earned good money - then he would pay large sums to Dada Rudrananda. By this way this Dada remained in the “good book.” Until of course, that fateful incident took place.

After news of the scandal spread all around Dada A was transferred to India and for show his purodhaship was revoked. Thus he lost his prestige - all because he was running a reproductive organ massage centre. Verily he became the laughingstock and caused many shock waves across our AM society. Everyone was astounded how one purodha and central body member could do such things.

Even then the story of his fall from grace does not end here. According to the laws of prakrti, whatever one does in this world one must face the reaction. So Dada A was involved in degrading activity and now the reaction has begun. Unfortunately it all happens so quick as now he is almost on his deathbed.

The purpose of this letter is to warn all bootlicker purodhas or central people - who are busy executing Rudrananda’s evil deeds - to stop and think. Nature will not spare them as evidenced as happened with Dada A.

All the lickspittles and lackeys of Dada Rudrananda should be alert. Watch out - do not go against the basic tenets of Sadguru Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji.

Do not sell Ananda Marga properties or give money to Dada Rudrananda for his own personal wealth such as his holdings that are in his name like South Delhi Extension or Ananda Dhara. And be warned about any sort of illicit relations with Didis etc, otherwise you will be destroyed forever. Watch out. Just look at the fate of Dada Ananyananda.

All margiis should also be put on notice that if you come across such Wt purodhas etc, the please awaken their samvit.


If any close or far person deviates from the truth or lacks sincerity,
oppose them - do not tolerate their behaviour

So here following is Baba’s great teaching where He guides us about the importance of pointing out the wrongdoing of close persons. Just like parents with love point out their kids, similarly with love we are to create the requisite circumstantial pressure so those who are very, very close to us - margiis, Wts, laokik relations, colleagues, and other respected persons etc - can mend their ways.

Ananda Marga ideology states, "If our own person or relative deviates from the truth or is lacking sincerity, oppose him, do not tolerate him. It does not matter if he is our own relative. If our own person is dishonest and insincere then he is more dangerous. Why? If there is a snake outside it is dangerous, but if a snake comes inside the house it is more dangerous. Therefore he [our close person] should be opposed more strongly." (1)

अपना आदमी हो, घर का आदमी हो ; कोई सत्य से इधर-उधर हट गया, sincerity की कमी जिनमें है—उसका विरोध करो, बर्दाश्त मत करो | अपना आदमी है तो क्या है | अपना आदमी अगर असाधु है, insincere है, तो, और भी अधिक ख़तरनाक है | क्यों ? बाहर में अगर साँप रहा, वह जितना ख़तरनाक है, घर में अगर साँप घुस गया तो और भी अधिक ख़तरनाक है | इसलिए, और भी, उसका अधिक विरोध होना चाहिए |” (2)

Note: In the above quote Baba explains that bad elements in society are dangerous, but bad elements inside your house - inside your organisation - are more dangerous. Do not tolerate them - oppose them.

The following concern I humbly place before you for your kind consideration and proper action. The Sectorial Secretary of New York sector Dada Vimalananda has resorted to deceptive and evasive tactics like hypocrisy and falsehood. Specifically, in a public letter on 15 October 2015, titled “Your mud-fight” (see Addendum #2 below), Dada Vimalananda is attacking the whistleblower(s) who unmasked the sinful deeds which he [Dada Vimalananda] committed.

Dada Vimalananda  wrote in a public letter that all accusations - regarding the sale of Ananda Marga properties - against him are a “figment of the imagination of the author” and based in “falsehood.”

Now here is the proof - i.e. the land sale document - which clearly demonstrates that Dada Vimalananda sold Ananda Marga land holdings and properties as SSNY. Below please find a public document that bears proof that two houses were sold by “Ananda Marga De La Republica Mexicana Asociacion Civil” to Hector Santos Benitez on 10 May 2010. Kindly see Addendum #1 below.

By this official land selling document - and evidence presented by numerous margiis of the area - it is clear that these two houses - as well as many other Ananda Marga properties - were sold by Ac Vimalananda (SSNY) and his agents.

All evidence points to and proves Dada Vimalananda’s role as the key figure in the sale of so many Ananda Marga properties, including the two houses detailed below. Yet Dada Vimalananda is crying out that all such allegations are false. In this way, Dada Vimalananda is no different from the fool who tries to spit on the midday sun only to have that spit land smack back on his own face. Indeed, Dada Vimalananda’s position is the same. In the wake of Dada Vimalananda’s spitting, i.e. accusing others of falsehood, that label of falsehood has landed squarely on Dada Vimalananda’s own face.

Here I request you to form an inquiry commission that includes sincere margiis and wholetimer workers and uncover exactly how our Ananda Marga properties were sold - both properties indicated on the below document, as well as numerous other properties that have been sold.

Finally, also examine the mysterious and untimely death of the margii who generously donated all such lands and properties - worth tens of millions of dollars - to Ananda Marga Mexico.

Respected Dadaji, I request you to take the right course in addressing this matter and resolving this critical issue that is causing great harm in our Ananda Marga society.

Note: Dada ji, you know, first and foremost, Beloved Baba always forbid the sale of Ananda Marga jagrtis, land, and property. Yet, the Sectorial Secretary of NY Sector, Ac, Vimalananda Avt has been an instrumental figure - i.e. mastermind - in the secret selling of so many Ananda Marga properties in New York sector, especially in Mexico. And when sincere margiis and Wts questioned Dada Vimalananda on his dealing then like a hypocrite Dada Vimalananda lashed out and accused everyone of leveling baseless accusations against him.

Had Dada Vimalananda addressed those concerns about land selling in a straightforward and reasonable manner, then perhaps there would have been no need to write this letter to you today. Ananda Marga Mexico land sale document

The document presented below is the first page of a land selling deed and bears proof of the sale of two houses owned by Ananda Marga (Mexico) in Monterrey. The two houses were sold by Yogendra under the order of Ac Vimalananda Avt, New York Sectorial Secretary.

House #1: Jose Mariano Abasolo #876, Centro Monterrey - valued in 2009 at more than four million Mexican Pesos -  4,385,631.00
House #2: Padra Raymundo Jardon #861, Centro Monterrey - valued in 2009 at almost five million Mexican Pesos - 4,901,973.30

The name seller - Juan Francisco Osegueda Osario (Yogendra) - and the name of the seller’s organization - Ananda Marga De La Republica Mexicana Asociacion Civil - have been clearly stated on the document.

The name of the purchaser is also noted -  Hector  Santos  Benitez.

The date of sale is stated - 10th May 2010.

The selling document was made by Public Notary No. 129, and the names of the two lawyers are enlisted as well.

Recently Dada Vandanananda made a peculiar proclamation on one of the public forums. Dada’s statement is even more confounding given that he himself is an avadhuta. Before seeing exactly what Dada Vandanananda wrote, let us examine Guru’s teachings.


For a sannyásii (renunciant) it is imperative to fast

Here below is a directive given by Sadguru Baba in Caryacarya. Pay particular attention to the term highlighted in yellow - i.e. sannyasii.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “It is imperative to fast without water on ekádashii (eleventh day after full moon and new moon). In addition, if desired, a fast can be observed on two more days of the month, namely púrńimá (full moon) and amávasyá (new moon). For a sannyásii (renunciant) it is imperative to fast invariably on both ekádashiis, púrńimá and amávasyá.” (1)

There are a few takeaways from the above teaching:

#1: Baba is directly addressing Ananda Margiis - i.e. family margiis and Wts - because the above guideline is from Caryacarya. Thus Baba is not addressing any other other community of people, i.e. non-margiis. He is talking to Ananda Margiis.

#2: In His guideline, Baba uses the term “sannyasii” whereby he is referring to all our wholetimer workers, i.e. avadhutas, avadhutikas etc. 

#3: So the above guideline is proof that there are sannyasis in our Ananda Marga, and those sannyasis are our avadhutas and avadhutikas etc.


Ignorance of Dada Vandanananda

Now let us take a look at what Dada Vandanananda wrote the other day on the public forum.

Vandanananda wrote:  “Avadhutas and Avadhutikas are not Sanyasis.”

Thus Dadaji is proclaiming that our Wts - our avadhutas and avadhutikas - are not sannyasis.

>From his statement, even a simple child can understand that Vandanananda is confused. Sadguru Baba is clearly indicating in Caryacarya that there are sannyasis in our Ananda Marga and those sannyasis are our wholetime workers,  i.e. avadhutas, avadhutikas etc.  And on the opposite side, Vandanananda writes: “Avadhutas and Avadhutikas are not Sanyasis.”

Clearly Dada Vandanananda is not aware about our Ananda Marga teachings. And what makes the matter more dramatic is that he himself is an avadhuta. Indeed, he has been an avadhuta for years and years yet he is completely unaware that he is a sannyasii. Thus he has taken a great vow in his life yet he is not even aware about the very nature of his own existence. If it weren’t such a flagrant and sizeable blind spot, it would be quite laughable.

And now Dadaji is giving a public discourse on this matter - as if he is an expert on such affairs.

All that can be said furthermore is this.

Sadguru Baba says, “If one tries to interpret a profound scripture with superficial knowledge, the interpreter appears ridiculous.” (2)

And indeed that is what has happened here. Dada Vandanananda looks ridiculous.

Note 1: Here again is the section from Caryacarya part 3 where the term sannyasi has been mentioned. By the below section it is crystal-clear Sadguru Baba is directly addressing all Ananda Margiis and He is using the term sannyásii to specifically refer to our Wt cadre, i.e. avadhutas and avadhutikas etc.

Re: Prout: which language is the best?

I refer to the issue on language, particularly the lingua franca of the world.

During a Field Walk in Lumpini Park in Bangkok, Thailand in 1979, I raised the issue of the World Language with Baba. Among other things, I asked Baba if He would create a World Language in the future. I was then graced with the opportunity to serve as His bodyguard.

After a few steps, He stopped walking and turned to me. He explained that at present English served as the lingua franca of the world. He also said that people tried to create a new lingua franca but failed.

Then, He said that a new lingua franca would evolve in time, replacing the present lingua franca. He also intimated the fundamental sounds that would form the basis of the new World Language and the reasons for the fundamental sounds. He made several sounds. I cannot remember the sounds or the reasons why those fundamental sounds would form the basis of the coming World Language.

He finished by saying that He was currently very busy and that if He had the time He would do something about it.

On hindsight, at least for the benefit of language research and accuracy, I should have carried a voice recorder to record Baba's messages during the Field Walk. Sadly, that was not the case. I have to be content with only the snatches of information I can recall of this subject.

Here in this letter we examine the extreme degree to which Tiljala Publications drastically ruined Guru’s published discourse - The Primordial Cause.


English Discourse Stolen & Covered Up As Bangla

Here are a few points from the first letter as a review:

* Baba originally delivered the discourse, Parama Puruśa – the Primordial Cause, in English on 12 April 1979, Kolkata. But our Tiljala publishers have declared that Baba spoke in Bangla. That is a lie.

* FACT: This discourse, Parama Puruśa – the Primordial Cause, was given by Baba in English. Our Tiljala dadas translated this discourse from the original English into Bengali and from Bengali to English and then published that needlessly double-translated English version in the English book, Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 9-10, chapter 19, p.117. And the consequences of this are not good.

* In the ideal scenario, the original English discourse would have been directly transcribed and published in the English book. There was no need for any translation in order to publish the English version. Due to the of Bangalisation this original English discourse has been ruined due to unnecessary double re-translation etc.

The above points establish the fact that Baba delivered the discourse - The Primordial Cause - in English, but Tiljala publishers labeled it as a Bengali discourse. Next we will witness first-hand the extent to which our Tiljala Dadas have destroyed Guru’s original discourse.


You are not reading Guru’s words
Just random stream of English done by publishers

So our Tiljala Dadas printed and published English discourse - and as you are going to see the book they made does not match up with Baba’s original English which Baba Himself spoke. The outcome is that instead of reading Baba’s original words, readers are reading an endless stream of concocted sentences that were translated from Bengali. That is the irony.

Now here in an easy, step-by-step sequence you can see for yourself how our Tiljala Dada published a complete ruination  of what Guru actually spoke.

Step 1: Visit our blogsite and find the sound file in the lower left column. Just scroll all the way down along the left side of the page. The file name is: Parama Puruśa – the Primordial Cause

Step 2: Open the English book – Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 9-10, chapter 19, p.117, and skip to step 4. If you do not have a copy of the English edition of this book that is not a problem, simply continue to step 3.

Step 3: Click here to view a copy of the printed English discourse as published by the Tiljala publishers. Or write us and we can send you an electronic version of the discourse. Also, for your easy reference, we have appended the first paragraph of the printed discourse at the very bottom of this email in Note 1.

Step 4: Now that you have the printed English version in front of you, click “play” on the sound file.

Step 5: Compare Baba’s spoken words with the printed English discourse.

After following the above steps, you have surely seen how the English version published by our Tiljala Publishers does not match up with what Baba actually spoke. Rather Tiljala Dadas veered way off course. What Tiljala Dadas published is a bogus representation of Guru’s actual words.


Display of Outrageous Hypocrisy

Yet, to befool others, Tiljala dadas try to portray how precisely and expertly the book was made. Tiljala publishers wrote:

“Ideally every new book translation undergoes initially a draft by the main translator, then “first editing”, then “second editing”, then final verification. Other important functions include coordination of the different steps.” (Ananda Vacanamrtam 9-10, Publisher's Note, p. xvii)

Seeing this most every naive reader will be duped into thinking that really Tiljala dadas did a great job. Such is the extent of the deceptiveness, duplicity, and hypocrisy of these publishers. Tiljala dadas write high-sounding words detailing the glory of their work, yet it is all fake. Our Tiljala dadas took no such steps to ensure the accuracy of their so-called work. You yourself have witnessed proof of this first hand. So what Tijala Dadas professed in their Publisher’s Note is just hot air – pure hypocrisy.

Our Tiljala dadas do not want that you should know the truth of the matter so such Publishers will try and dissuade you from downloading the sound file and checking it with their published materials. But do not be side-tracked by such hearsay. Your Guru's discourse are being stolen, one after another, before your very eyes. How long will you tolerate this and remain quiet.

In this letter, the phrase “our Tiljala Dadas” means the Kolkata Publications Dept which is controlled by Dada Sarvatmananda. The feeling is that are all part of our family so the phrase “our Tilala publishers etc” has been used. But here “our” does not mean that we have published these books.

For your easy reference here is the opening paragraph of this printed discourse and you will see that it does not match up with the original discourse as spoken by Sadguru Baba:

The omniscient Supreme Entity is avarńa – beyond colours. Parama Puruśa does everything. Eko avarńo bahudhá shakti yogád – bahudhá means that which is divided into many or innumerable parts. That singular Entity does not have any colour. He transcends all fetters and bondages. He is the causal matrix of the manifold entities. He is the nucleus and very source of the various expressions, vibrations, colours and shades of light. He has been creating everything through that power of His to create multiplicity, or that propensity of His to create manifold bondages, that is known as Prákrta shakti or Prákrta Máyá. Whenever Parama Puruśa (that singular Entity) creates anything with the help of Prakrti, He does it by His power to create illusion (Máyáshakti). He accomplishes all work by the dexterity of Prakrti, by the power to create illusion. What does the word ́dexterity’ mean? Dexterity also means “plasticity”. Plasticity means a substance out of which many things have been created. It means that out of one entity many more entities can be created. It is the potentiality to create manifold entities. Bahudhá shakti jogád. Many things are created, many entities are born. This creative essence of Parama Puruśa is termed as Prakrti in Sanskrit. When this creative essence is engaged in the act of creation, it is called Máyá. Bahudhá shakti yogát, varńánanekán nihitártho dadháti – through the power of Prakrti or Máyá, Parama Puruśa has created variegated colours and continues to create them.
