Deception: mahaprayan term in AV-12

Namaskar,

Baba never spoke or mentioned the word mahaprayan in His discourses. Dada Sarvatmananda intentionally corrupted Ananda Vacanamrtam part 12 (Bengali edition) to justify his selfish agenda of mahaprayan. Then he cited the mahaprayan term that he inserted into the Ananda Vacanamrtam part 12 (Bengali edition) and underlined it and highlighted it in his MPD propaganda brochures and pamphlets and told that, “Look, Baba Himself used the term mahaprayan in AV-12.” This is how Dada Sarvatmananda befooled Bangla-speaking, village margiis. For more details read the subheading, “How margiis were befooled”, further down in this email.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Since 1990, the inventor of the mahaprayan program has been trying to convince innocent margiis and Wts that shraddhainjali is something unique and great - and reserved only for Parama Purusa. At first, some were initially taken in by this campaign. But it has since become well known that shraddhainjali is merely a yearly, dogmatic offering made to any deceased person; it is a longstanding Islamic tradition. So it is not something divine. Just it is a ritualistic way of paying homage annually to the deceased. Countless Muslims do this every year for their friends and relatives who have departed this world.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, "The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days." (1)

So by hosting an annual death day / mahaprayan / shraddhainjali program our Dadas are directly contravening Baba’s teaching in Caryacarya.

This filth came in AMPS from Islam

Actually the term shraddhainjali does not appear anywhere in pre-1990 Ananda Marga philosophy. Sadguru Baba never used this in any discourse. And before 1990, this was never done in Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Here below is an Islamic death ceremony where they are performing shraddhainjali - i.e. death ceremony. An ardent Muslim - Firoza Begam - has died and this is her corpse that is covered in flowers. Family and friends have gathered to mourn her death.

The shraddhainjali term appears three times in the below photo. First it is highlighted in the upper left as the title of the newspaper image, then in the brown banner the shraddhainjali is the second word of the middle line, and shraddhainjali is highlighted in yellow (center) in the text just below the image. Clearly this is an Islamic shraddhainjali gathering.

Here above is an Islamic death ceremony where they are performing shraddhainjali - i.e. death ceremony. An ardent Muslim - Firoza Begam - has died and this is her corpse that is covered in flowers. Family and friends have gathered to mourn her death.

So the above is an example of the annual, dogmatic shraddhainjali program regularly done by Muslims. Unfortunately, shraddhainjali was inserted into the appendix of Caryacarya part 1 when they invented the mahaprayan program. The makers of mahaprayan borrowed this term from the dogmatic religions like Islam.

Shraddhainjali dogma: imposed on AMPS from Islam

Next we look at another gathering of Muslims doing their annual shraddhainjali offering to their deceased friend. By these examples it is plainly apparent that shraddhainjali is just another word for shraddha, mahaprayan, mrtuvars'ikii etc. All these terms refer to an annual death day ceremony, or offering to the deceased.

In this next article and photo, the last word of the heading is the term shraddhainjali in Bengali script, and the term is highlighted in yellow in the article as well (4th word of the 5th line). Plus the term is the fifth word of the 3rd line (hint: it is the longest word of that line, but not highlighted).

At this Muslim shraddhainjali ceremony, so many well-wishers have come on the anniversary of their friend's death. Some of the many who have come include: Saiful Islam, Helal Uddin Tipu, Abdullah Al Belal, Nazmul Azim, Sohail Mostafa, Kamal Uddin, Mohammed Badshah, Mohammed Iman Hussain, Mohammed Israfil, Mohammed Raihan Hussain, Mohammed Zahid, Mohammed Manzur Alam, Mohammed Arif, and Mohammed Imam Hussain etc.

All of the Islamic well-wishers are garlanding their deceased friend's tomb on the anniversary of his death. Such is the Muslim tradition. Other communities are also following this yearly death day dogma.

Shraddhainjali for ordinary death

In this next article - written in Hindi - they are describing the shraddhanjali ceremony of another person who died at a heart attack at the age of 44. The deceased is from Raurkela, Orissa and the truck is being decorated as it is carrying his dead body. So his friends are paying homage to him by decorating the truck with flowers. That is how they perform shraddhainjali. The term highlighted below in the article is shraddhainjali in Hindi script.

Open questions to dada S. - the inventor / father of MPD dogma

Here are three key points everyone should know about the mahaprayan / shraddhainjali dogma:

Attending Tiljala dogma means supporting the cause of annual death day.

Some wrongly justify that, “What is wrong, I am just going to Tiljala for the kiirtana, not for the sake of the mahaprayan program.” Here it should be clear: Going to the annual mahaprayan gathering for the sake of doing kiirtan is a bogus justification. Merely attending that mahaprayan gathering signifies your wholehearted support of that event. The fundamental equation is if anyone is doing anything anywhere and you go to their location and do what they are doing, it means you are supporting their cause. That is the basic formula that can be applied to countless situations.

Let’s look at this from another angle. Who can forget when Baba was in jail and our Ananda Margii brothers and sisters from all over converged on-site to protest the injustices. Margiis sang kiirtan. And participation in those kiirtan rallies demonstrated support for the greater cause. Those days Jai Prakash Narayan called the police on margiis and had them arrested on the basis that their participation in that kiirtana meant they were the supporters of the political protests against Baba’s incarceration. Later on, after the rally, that same kiirtan would be sung for purely spiritual purposes during dharmacakra etc. Here the point is that doing kiirtan or raising the slogan at a rally means supporting that issue or cause.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Of late, both H and B group have used kiirtana programs as a strategy to reclaim and recapture various AMPS buildings for their group cause. And those who participate in that kiirtana are their pawns for their groupist agenda. That is what happened in Goddha, Ananda Nagar, Bhopal, and numerous other places where H and B were battling for control of that jagriti etc. Kiitana programs are their main arsenal for capturing those properties from the opposite group. This happened so many times in the past and will happen in the future also as this is their cherished strategy.

Conclusion: In CC I, II, III no annual death day ceremony

The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days. That is the rule as per Baba’s guideline in Caryacarya

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, "The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days." (4)

How margiis were befooled

To impose the mahaprayan dogma, the chief inventor borrowed a page out of the dogmatic religious playbook. For ions, the dogmatic religions have maintained their grip of power by doctoring their scripture. That means whenever they wanted to convince their followers of any point, then first they would alter their scripture and insert their own agenda. Then they would show that to their followers to convince them. By this way they kept those followers under their thumb. And that is exactly what Sarvatmananda did: he inserted the term “mahaprayan” into Ananda Marga scripture.

Baba never spoke or mentioned the word mahaprayan in His discourses. Dada Sarvatmananda intentionally corrupted Ananda Vacanamrtam part 12 to justify his selfish agenda of mahaprayan. Then he cited the mahaprayan term of  Ananda Vacanamrtam part 12 (Bengali edition) and underlined it and highlighted it in his MPD propaganda brochures and pamphlets and told that, “Look, Baba Himself used the term mahaprayan in AV-12.” This is how Dada Sarvatmananda befooled Bangla-speaking, village margiis.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Of course, Baba never spoke the term “mahaprayan” in His discourses as this was Sarvatmananda’s own insertion.

Verily, Sarvatmananda pranced about showing this bogus mahaprayan term to margiis all around and some got convinced. They did not realise that this is not Baba’s term - rather Sarvatmananda slyly inserted his dirt into the Bangla edition of Baba’s Fiesch discourse. This is how Sarvatmananda befooled some margiis and proved that he himself is just a reincarnation of those dogmatic, exploitative priests of old.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, "The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days." (6)

So by hosting an annual death day / mahaprayan / shraddhainjali program our Dadas are directly contravening Baba’s teaching in Caryacarya.

Falsely justifying MPD by deception

The dogmatic leaders and inventors of the shraddhainjali / mahaprayan (মহাপ্রয়াণ)  / tomb worship dogma, repeatedly resort to a particular quote when justifying the existence of their annual tomb day ceremony. Dadas want to prove that the mahaprayan term is God’s command - God’s term. To prove that our Dadas found one pravacan of Fiesch and wts told that in this discourse the term mahaprayan has been used so it is a holy term and the mahaprayan function is approved. In this way Sarvatmananda’s stooges brainwashed Bengali-speaking margiis.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Táraka Brahma comes here on a particular date, leaves this earth also on a particular date, takes the birth of His quinquelemental body, the death of His quinquelemental body." (Ananda Vacanamrtam - 12, The Coming of Táraka Brahma, EGD 13 May 1979 Fiesch)

The above quote was originally delivered by Baba in English. So those cunning MPD dogmatic leaders translated the above teaching in Bangla and inserted the term mahaprayan in association with Táraka Brahma. This was their scheme or ploy to try and validate the mahaprayan programme. Dadas lay claim that Baba Himself used the term mahaprayan. But that is outrightly false. Sarvatmananda dada manipulated the translation and inserted the term “mahaprayan” in hopes of befooling people into thinking that mahaprayan is really something legit - when really it is just one awful ritual.

Shraddhainjali is never done for the Supreme Entity who is ever-present. Rather, the shraddhainjali dogma is done for mortals in non-margii society. It is not approved by Ananda Marga philosophy. Shraddhainjali is not in the pre-1990 Caryacarya book and Sadguru Baba rejects this dogmatic shraddhainjali / yearly offering to the deceased.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, "The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days." (7)

So by hosting an annual death day / mahaprayan / shraddhainjali program our Dadas are directly contravening Baba’s teaching in Caryacarya.

Ins and outs of surrender theory

Some think surrender means doing nothing and depending on God. How far is this correct?

Answer: It is not correct. Here in this following teaching Baba has given the explanation.

"Párthasárathi says, Má karmaphalaheturbhúmá te saungostvakarmańi [“You must not do actions that will bind you, but you must not be averse to action, either”]. Do your duty, your karma. Now, is this karma in conformity with prapatti or is it antagonistic to prapatti? The teachings of Vraja Krśńa are clearly consistent with prapatti. His existence, His actions, the music of His flute, the way in which He attracts people and gives them shelter – all these are in perfect harmony with prapatti, because an individual feels free after surrendering everything to the Macrocosmic Entity. Here Párthasárathi says, “Do your karma, for you have an inalienable right to your karma.” Karma is defined as Karma Brahmeti karma bahu kurviita – “You are human. Simply look upon karma as a veritable expression of Brahma [Supreme Entity] and do as much karma as you can.”
"Is this in agreement with prapatti or at variance with prapatti? It seems to be opposed to prapatti but in actuality it is not. If we go deeper into the subject, we see that this quinquelemental body, this body of flesh and bones, this mind made of ectoplasmic stuff, this reflecting plate that acts as the witnessing entity (known as átman or puruśa in philosophy) – all these have their origin in Parama Puruśa. It is the Cosmic desire that is the source of the creation of the human body, mind and soul. If we utilize this body, mind and jiivátmá [soul, self, unit consciousness], we are only following the path of prapatti. That is, we are utilizing the things given to us by Parama Puruśa. All these things, the body, mind and self, are His gifts. Had He willed otherwise, they would not have existed. Without Cosmic desire, nothing can exist, nothing can move, not even a blade of grass. So in accordance with the spirit of prapatti, that the body is a machine, we can say that He has been kind enough to provide the body and mind, to be utilized for work only. Hence I follow the spirit of prapatti in using them."
"In the beginning, karma seemed to be against prapatti, but karma is not antithetical to prapatti. It is definitely in conformity with prapatti. So a boy or a girl who does work is surely following the path of prapatti. Even if there is any room for indolence while enjoying the flute of Vraja Krśńa, there is not the least room for inaction in the clarion call of the karma yoga of Párthasárathi Krśńa." (1)

MPD: done for regular people + 2 more

Baba
MPD: done for regular people

Namaskar,

Mahaprayan is a widely used convention that means the death of Tom, Dick, Harry, & even John Doe. Throughout India, especially in my Bengal, the mahaprayan program is used for the death of any common human being.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, “The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days.” (1)

The purpose of this letter is to help my fellow margiis understand that mahaprayan is regular commemoration for the mortals in the same way as people in the west people use "passed away" and "died" etc.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

This below image says it all - it demonstrates how mahaprayan is used on a daily basis for those who have died. In the caption of each of the below photos, the mahaprayan word is written in Bengali script. Ask any Bangla-knowing person and they can confirm this for you. These are from Google images.

So please see below: Beneath each and every photo, mahaprayan is written in Bangla script. And also below each and every photo is a link (in green font) to the website and if you click on it you will arrive at a huge heading stating mahaprayan of xyz. So you can imagine how prevalent mahaprayan of xyz is in my Bengal. Below is a screen print of one partial page of Google images.

Again, please see above: Beneath each and every photo, mahaprayan is written in Bangla script. And also below each and every photo is a link (in green font) to the website and if you click on it you will arrive at a huge heading stating mahaprayan of xyz.  So you can imagine how prevalent mahaprayan of xyz is in my Bengal. Above is a screen print of one partial page of Google images.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

All of the above photos are from Google images. Just type mahaprayan and the death day announcements appear of so many common citizens. Each listing is entitled “mahaprayan” as their family and friends publish the mahaprayan listing of their loved one.

So as we see, the concept of "mahaprayan" is something very common; it signifies the death of a mortal being; it is a common phenomenon across Bengal.

As evidenced above (see image & caption) and in this series of letters, the program of mahaprayan is everywhere; it is widely observed for the death of mortals. It is not something special, nor unique nor divine. It is not something godly nor lofty, and not reserved for Taraka Brahma, as propagated by my dada Sarvatmananda ji.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, “The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days.” (2)

Adaptation of an Islamic tradition

Initially, my Tiljala faction presented this annual mahaprayan commemoration to margiis as being some type of divine and heavenly occasion that was exclusively for Mahasambhuti. But now the whole situation has changed positively. Today, mostly everyone understands that mahaprayan is just one copy and adaptation of an Islamic dogma (click here to reach to Islamic shrine of 700 years old in Ajmer India where they do 6-day annual death ceremony of Islamic leader).

For mahaprayan a tomb is needed. And only Muslims were doing that for mahaprayan. And my Tiljala mahaprayan organisers have followed suit.

We can see how in Tiljala our Dadas have implemented that same Islamic tradition by encircling the tomb to perform the tomb worship during the annual mahaprayan death day commemoration in our Tiljala campus etc.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

So while the Muslims do their ceremony for deceased human beings, my Tiljala organisers are doing this annual death (mahaprayan) ceremony to Taraka Brahma Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji. The precept is that Guru is dead.

Regardless of how dogmatic the religions are they never do the annual mahaprayan of God, but unfortunately my faction of AMPS commemorates the annual death day, i.e. mahaprayan of the object of ideation - God. That is the irony: the God of my group died.

When everyone understands that mahaprayan signifies the death day of any mortal, then this dogma will be dropped forever.

Ananda Marga Caryacarya states, “The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days.” (3)

Namaskar,
In Him,
Bibek Roy

To date, certain of my group leaders have thoroughly convinced some of my fellow margiis - especially Bangla speaking and some non-Bengali speaking sadhakas - into thinking that mahaprayan is something divine.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Hypocritical behaviour

Sadguru Baba is guiding you and in the next breath they say He is dead - mahaprayan.

True bhaktas know that there is no such thing as mahaprayan for Sadguru Baba. As the Sadguru He never passes away, He is omnipresent. So those Wts who believe in & propagate that Sadguru is dead are confused. Actually they are displaying hypocritical behaviour. Why?

When our Avadhutas acaryas give initiation, or revise anyone’s lessons, or give further lessons of sadhana, our Dadas say, “I am just a medium - Sadguru Taraka Brahma Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji is teaching you and He is ever-present."

So in one breath our Wt dadas say that Sadguru Lord Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji is guiding you and in the next breath they say He is dead - mahaprayan. That is both hypocritical and sinful.  Hypocritical because they are telling one thing and doing something else. They are telling that Guru is no more in their mahaprayan program, yet when teaching sadhana they are relying on Him. And it is sinful because it is abusive against Guru.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

It is similar to your own children playing before you and talking among themselves that, “My mother is dead.” As a mother, how will you feel. And not only that, they go one step ahead, before your eyes they started commemorating your annual death day ceremony

How do you feel about their ignorance?

True bhaktas never participate in the dogmatic annual death day ceremony / mahaprayan of the ever-present God. That is against pre-1990 Caryacarya.”

Sinners are distorting Baba's audios

Namaskar,

Baba's discourses should not be remixed with any background sound, music, kirtan, etc. The reason is - in future people would then try to remix Baba's voice with any audio and video.

Dharmendra & others who ruin Baba's voice are unworthy disciples

  • Already Dharmendra ji (Tatanagar) has been remixing Baba's voice with the Mahabharata serial and other videos which are not correct, but sin.
  • In "Youtube", Facebook, and WhatsApp groups, one can find many such remix audios and videos with Baba voice.
Baba's voice is the voice of Parama Purusa / Taraka Brahma. Therefore we must maintain the sanctity of His audio and video. In 16 points, Baba says," Non compromising strictness to Ista and Adarsha ". Baba is our Ista and His voice must not be allowed to be used anywhere with any music, etc.

It is just like how unemployed people get depressed and get suicidal and start harming themselves with a knife by cutting their wrist etc. Similarly, these sinners are harming their own Guru's material and are hungry for attention. They are psychically diseased people whose only goal is to get attention. This is the pathetic condition of this present era. I know one child who was desperate for attention the he would pick up a scissors and cut his parents' clothing.

It is sad they are distorting Baba's audios in the aforesaid ways.

In Him,
Kripal Yadav

Report: inner truth about AM in Brazil

Baba

Report: inner truth about AM in Brazil

Namaskar

Recently, a report has been floating around how there is complete unity and harmony in Brazil. So we can best understand the situation, here is an eye-witness report about what is going on there and what are the motivating factors. First, however, is a quick overview of Sadguru Baba’s teachings on unity.

AM philosophy states, “Human unity is purely an ideological unity, which means unity in the psychic sphere.” (1)

By the above, it is clear that unity can only occur in the absence of any form of groupism. That means one must be beyond all narrow-mindedness and embrace the tenets of universalism, whereby one adheres to a strict moral code of conduct based on the tenets of yama and niyama and neo-humanism. So unity is not just the gathering of a crowd at a sporting event or airport, nor is it a black pact made behind closed doors. Rather, it is a high ideal that one must aspire towards. Now let’s get to our eye-witness report on the happenings in Brazil.
https://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Eye-witness report: Fake show of unity

Local margiis say there is no such thing as unity in Brazil. The so-called political board is no doubt equally populated between males and females, and the different groups of AM pose as being unified, but that is not the case. Essentially, there are tumultuous waters beneath the surface.

The reason why the board is mixed is not because of good will and cooperation, but rather because they cannot tolerate or trust each other, and they all want to grab the biggest piece of the pie. Moreover, there is a distinct lack of motivation to work together; every group has their own separate agenda. The main thing is that jealousy and mistrust cause them to think that if they turn their back then the other group will grab it all. So their portrayal is basically a facade to outwardly show to the world that AM works the best in Brazil, but that is all just a superficial display. If anyone takes a deeper dive, they will quickly see that their so-called unity is non-existent.
https://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Power seats in Brazil

The president of AM in Brazil - i.e. Nirainjan - is a rich man who has power and influence only because of his money. Indeed, Niranjan himself has his own private jet. How is that Proutistic or ecological for a spiritual aspirant to have their own private jet, while so many living in the favelas (ghettos) of Sao Paulo do not even have clean water to drink. The fact is that Nirainjan is a close friend of Dada Haripranananda, who himself is known as a political figure. So Niranjan and Dada Haripranananda are in it  to increase their own post and power. That is the motivation behind their pact.

At present, there are three SS Dadas in Brazil and they are all strategically vying for maximum power just like a horserace. In that case, who can claim there is unity and cooperation.

All about money

It is well known that Dada Haripranananda and so many other Wts in Brazil are solely there for the money. The so-called neohumanistic schools are just a front for private business enterprises. For instance, Dada Jinanananda is the richest Wt in Brazil; he is deeply involved in making money. And such Dadas bring in massive profits from these schools. These schools are not for the children but for the bank accounts of these Wts.
https://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

Finally, as you know, Brazil is a very religious and sectarian country that has a giant economy with over 200,000,000 inhabitants. In that case, there is a lot of money at play since the populace is accustomed to donating to religious groups. Thus, the current AM is just existing as another sect to garner a maximum amount of donations. So they are talking to the locals and painting a grand picture for the sole purpose of drawing in maximum financial backing.

Conclusion

Sadly, the situation of AM in Brazil is the same as AM in other countries as they are just fighting for (a) power, (b) influence, and, most important of all, (c) money. No one should get led into believing that there is perfect harmony and unity in Brazil. Sadly, there is a big battle going on between the various groups.

To establish unity, one must make an honest evaluation of themselves and ensure their motives are grounded in spiritual morality and their conduct is in accordance with Sixteen Points. The attainment of social harmony and unity is a holistic approach of building an outlook free from the dogma of selfishness and rallying around the dharmic teachings of AM ideology.

In Him,
Omprakash
(Orlando Diaz)

Ananda Marga ideology states, "Every entity of the world is the limited manifestation of the one Cosmic Consciousness. Whom will you fight against, or whom will you flee from? You are undecaying, immortal and birthless. When you are established in your own true self, none of the belligerent unit entities can stand against you, nor can your mind be disturbed by their limited forms. Such an all-embracing Cosmic Sentiment cannot be inculcated in others by sub-human individuals with narrow views." (2)

Note 1: Useful idiots

One of Stalin’s great ploys was to invite western journalists to communist Russia whereby he would arrange for them to get a very glorious tour of the cities and countryside to show them that communism in Russia was like heaven on earth. Thereafter, the journalists would return to their home countries and write fantastic stories about the greatness of the Russian communist state. Stalin would refer to such journalists as his “useful idiots”. The point being that Stalin gave these gullible journalists a bogus and manufactured view of Russia in order to befool them so they would spread his propaganda around the globe. All the while, beneath the surface, the Stalin regime was torturing and killing millions, but he kept all that out of sight from those journalists who continued to do his bidding. That is why Stalin would refer to those journalists as “useful idiots”.
https://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com

It seems the same ploy was used on brother Pashupati of North Carolina, USA. Pashupati went down to Brazil, and he was given a tour and explanation of AM in Brazil, and he believed it completely. And when he returned back to the US he wrote a very glowing review of AM in Brazil, despite the fact that the various factions of AM in Brazil are embroiled in terrible squabbles and plans to oust each other. In that case, how is this any different from Stalin’s useful idiots.
