Respected Acarya Yatiishvarananda breathed his last on 01 January 2021. Dada ji wished to follow Sadguru Baba's system in all arenas in life. Sadly, now, a full month after the time of Ac Yatiishvarananda’s death / mahaprayan, some are doing an injustice by observing Dada ji's death. This is wholly contrary to Caryacarya and Baba's teachings.
(a) According to Caryacarya, the shraddha ceremony must be performed within 12 days from the time of death.
Caryacarya states, "The period of mourning should not extend beyond twelve days. If you wish, you can perform the shráddha ceremony any day within this period according to convenience." (CC-1, Shráddha Ceremony)
So to hold any type of memorial service, or remembrance, or shraddha ceremony etc after this 12-day period is a gross violation of Baba's teachings and a stain on Dada ji's record.
(b) Some have mistakenly argued that at the time of death the system is different for Wts and family margiis. But that is just complete nonsense. Before and after 1990, the shraddha ceremony has been performed for innumerable Wts and family margiis - both. Because that is the system given in Caryacarya.
(c) There is also a bogus rule going around that if one is a Wt then at the time of death a so-called shraddhainjali is performed, and this can be done at any time. The singular and only response to this is that the term shraddhainjali does not appear anywhere in the true, pre-1990 editions of Caryacarya. So it has nothing to do with our AM way of life. Rather the term shraddhainjali is from the dogmatic religions like Islam etc.
(d) Those who wish to follow Sadguru Baba should adhere to Caryacarya and not get duped by the tall talks of xyz who has some different notion. The idea that some so-called shraddhainjali should be done for deceased Wts is 1000% wrong. As per Caryacarya, the AM shraddha ceremony is done for all sadhakas, whether they be a Wt or family margii.
