MAHAPRAYAN Mahaprayana  OF MUSLIM ABDUL RAJJAK

Namaskar,
Here below are two public announcements each presenting the mahaprayan of someone who recently died.

The first piece is from a Bangladeshi newspaper about the death of Abdul Rajjak. Mr Rajak was Islamic and a member of the awami league, which is a hardcore Muslim organisation. And the second article is about the death of a common man, Pulin. In both articles the term mahaprayan appears multiple times.

Thus the observance of mahaprayan is not something lofty or great - it is done to denote the death of any human being. That mahaprayan Mahaprayana function is not limited to a particular caste or religion etc. When anyone dies, then throughout the entire Indian subcontinent, the mahaprayan program is done - regardless of whether the person was a Muslim, a Jew etc. Because mahaprayan is death ceremony - anyone who dies is thus qualified to have a mahaprayan.

The purpose of this letter is to help all understand that mahaprayan is a common phenomenon, just like how in the west people say "passed away" and "died" etc. Similarly, in Bengal & other Indian states, mahaprayan is commonly used for the deceased. So the concept of mahaprayan is not something grand or lofty. Rather it is quite mundane - i.e. just part of daily street talk etc.

So no one should naively think that the mahaprayan program is something glorious only to be used in a very special manner - for Taraka Brahma. The mahaprayan program is for the death of any common or unknown person who has made his departure from this world. That is why this mahaprayan is not used for Taraka Brahma because He did not depart - He is the eternal Parama Purusa. So the mahaprayan program is just for ordinary humans, i.e. mortals. About this there should not be any confusion.

So, as stated, the reality is that mahaprayan is a pedestrian observance used for everyday people. These below articles stand as testimony to this.

#1: This below piece is about the mahaprayan of Mr Abdul Rajjak, who was an active Muslim etc. The mahaprayan term appears as the 9th word of the title.

If you type this in as a Google search then you will see it there printed as well.

#2: This below article is of the mahaprayan of a regular person, Pulin. The mahaprayan Mahaprayana  term is the third word of the title of the below article.

The mahaprayan observance is never done for Lord Shiva or Lord Krsna - because this is not a program for Taraka Brahma. It is a function for deceased human beings.

Awake, arise, and fight against dogma. That is our Guru Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji’s message.

Why Suffering Of The Rich Is More Than The Poor

Baba says, "If money or wealth would have been the solution of all the problems then in that case rich persons would have always enjoyed being in a state of bliss. But in society it is not like that. The suffering of the rich is more than the poor." (Allahabad, DMC 1984)

Baba says, "Human desire knows no end. Millionaires want to become multimillionaires, because they are not satisfied with their million. Ask the millionaires if they are happy with their money. They will say, “Where is the money? I am somehow pulling on.” This answer indicates their ignorance of aparigraha. But such feelings have another adverse effect on body and mind. Out of excessive fondness for physical or mental pleasures people become mad to earn money and amass wealth. As money becomes the be-all and end-all of life, the mind gets crudified. Constant hankering after money results in negligence of one's health, and this makes the body unfit. Therefore, santośa sádhaná lies in being contented with the earnings of normal labour, without any undue pressure on the body and mind. To remain contented, one has to make a special type of mental effort to keep aloof from external allurements." (Guide to Human Conduct, Santosa)

Note: In our western countries nowadays, where money is more free-flowing, the number of psychic diseases is multiplying day by day. The "haves" are coming under the grip of depression, frustration, hopeless, and overall melancholia. In that state they are always conflicted by a degrading psychic flow. This is rampant. That is why so many westerners like those in the USA go to psychiatrists and other psychic counselors in order to feel good. Because otherwise they succumb to depression. So they go see their chosen psychiatrist etc. But those sessions are often a band-aid approach. Because most of the time those very psychiatrists and psychologists are themselves depressed - in that case what kind of guideline are they going to give. The only way out is to develop a balanced mind through the practice of sadhana. Then alone one can escape the horrors and terrors of materialism.

Extortion in the Name of DMS

EXTORTION IN THE NAME OF DMS

Namaskar,
Soon there will be DMS in Purnea, Bihar. The organisers are allegedly seeking RS 50,000 from donors & attendees etc. Even though the rainy season is over in that area, the organising are demanding a rain-proof tent / pandal be made. That will be of prohibitive cost. But in that way, those in Centre can more easily "skim off the top" and divert funds to themselves. This is their alleged plan.

In turn, margiis are lodging complaint after complaint how those in Centre do not do any social service - of any kind. Neither are they preaching Ananda Marga ideology, nor are they creating marvelous hospitals, schools, or colleges that can compete with and outdo today’s public institutions. In the name of such projects Central dadas collect money and spend it somewhere else. Such central Wts just wish to lead a luxurious life. They talk about various projects, but, in earnest, they do not do an iota of social service.

SIMILAR TO "FORCED DONATIONS" BY THUGS

DURING DURGA PUJA ETC

This same type of extortion and "thuggery" happens across India at the time of puja. It seems our Central Dadas copied them. Because at the time of puja, criminals, thieves, and thugs strong-arm the common people and force them to give donations - lest they suffer the consequences.

Here below is one such report from a Jharkhand Daily:

Extortion in the name of “chanda” (donations) for puja celebrations in the city gives nightmare to businessmen, bus owners and even poor autorickshaw operators who suffer alike every year during durga puja.

This year organisers associated with Durga puja committees in different parts of the city have especially been asked to ensure that there are no forcible donations.

Ram Babu Singh, general secretary of JKDPS said that all the puja committees have been ordered not to force people to donate for the festival. If any committee indulges in such act people must report and the license of the erring Durga puja committee will be cancelled. “We have decided to ensure that no forcible donations are taken from the people. If we receive any complains we would definitely act against that particular puja committee,” noted Singh.

Meanwhile businessmen in the city though have welcomed the step but are still a worried lot. “We have no other option but to pay whatever amount is written on the chanda receipt.” according to other businessmen, local goons in almost every locality have got printed receipts in the name of fake puja committees. These members of various small gangs collect donations by terrorising businessmen using the names of notorious criminals.

A number of committees also collect donations in the name of organising cultural programmes, promising to bring big names in the field of music. But in practice they save money by engaging local artists every year,” said a businessman. (Courtesy of: The Avenue Mail of Jharkhand)

Indeed, it seems our Central Dadas have adopted these same methods - it is sad to say.

HOW GROUPS INCREASE MEMBERSHIP

AND RAISE MONEY

To increase their membership, both groups, H and B, employ similar techniques. Earlier, B group was doing Prabhat Samgiita / Rawa programs all across the land. By that way they could generate an in-flow of cash and donations, and heighten membership. Then, they started doing the same things in the name of DMS - for the very same purpose: Grab other groups’ members and procure a lot of donations (cash & kind) and put away funds in their personal accounts. Because when organising such programs, all monies and gifts went into the hands of the organisers, and not with the local unit hosting the gathering.

Actually both groups do this. When organising any event, they allegedly skim 25% - 35% off the top and put that directly into their own personal accounts. That is a given.

That is why the various groups organise so many programs like sadhana shivir, DMS, PS, and other events. By this way, they can ask for big donations from margiis. In the name of these local programs, they pull on the heart-strings of margiis for financial gain. It is a sad showing. The margiis are feeling sentimental and devotional, and the organisers are steeped in greed ready to exploit the margiis sentiment.

WHAT THEY DO

WITH THEIR ILL-BEGOTTEN MONEY

So then what do the these Wts do with those funds? Often they allegedly send that money back to their laokik families, or they finance their own private business; and, finally, some give up their dress and leave their Wt ship with those funds. And there are many other alleged underground types of things they may do, which need not be mentioned here.

In contrast, if local margiis were in charge and had control over the funds, then there would be proper accountability and transparency. That is the way it should be done. But when organising Dadas take the reins, then money goes directly into their own hand. So there is zero accountability.

Now there is clash going on because H group is organising a DMS on the same dates that B group traditionally has their Prabhat Samgiita Day events. So there is a competition for membership and monies.

AGE-OLD PROBLEM

COMPETING OVER FOLLOWERS AND MONEY

But really, this is not a new technique. Always these groups are in competition in this way - whether at Ananda Nagar or at some local place. They are always fighting over margiis participation and money. So always they are trying to sabotage each other’s events and programs.

At the same time, no matter how much B group makes their plea, their PS programs are not about the dignity and sanctity of Prabhat Samgiita. They organise these events to grab new members + money. If they were truly interested in Prabhat Samgiita, then why did they introduce the use of filmy singer, filmy tunes for recording Prabhat Samgiita, why do they sell and encourage PS to be used for worldly love songs, and why did they change the tune of the songs etc. All these things go against Baba’s guidelines about the singing and distribution of Prabhat Samgiita. B group has effectively turned Sadguru Baba’s devotional gift of Prabhat Samgiita into a pseudo-culture venture.

*************************************************************
Science Behind Ghost

Baba says, "I had a certain acquaintance whose garden was quite large. One night his wife thought she saw a ghost in a corner of the garden. In Bihar, a female ghost is called `chudel' in Hindi. At the sight of the imagined ghost she cried out in fear, and fainted. She never regained consciousness and died some time later. The next night the same gentleman came out of his house at the same time. He also thought he saw the ghost. `Why should people have to die one after the other in this way?' he thought. Stepping forward to strike at the imaginary ghost with a stick, he suddenly saw that it was nothing but a bush which, in the moonlight, looked just like a human being. His wife had died for nothing, terrified by the deceptive image of a bush. Most so-called ghosts are like this. Towards the end of the rainy season rotting vegetation often gives out a gas, called marsh gas or will-o'-the-wisp, which bursts into flame when it comes in contact with oxygen. This burning gas may easily be taken to be a ghost. This is how a fear complex can develop." (AV-7, p. 32)

Note: In His various discoures, Baba clearly states that there is no such thing as ghosts; ghosts do not exist. Most often, people in their mind imagine that there is a ghost, as is the case in the above example. When in fact there is a perfectly rational and logical explanation. We can see this applies to each and every fear complex. People imagine it and become convinced that it is real.

Mahaprayan in the USA

MAHAPRAYAN IN THE USA

Namaskar,
Below please find the announcement of the mahaprayan Mahaprayana (death) of Mr. Ratan Baduya. He was just an ordinary man - a common citizen - of Bengal who died in April 2014 in New York USA. So when he died they announced and organised his mahaprayan.

This shows that the concept of "mahaprayan" is something very mundane; it signifies the death of a human being; it is a common phenomenon across the Indian subcontinent.

So the mahaprayan program is not something exclusive; rather the program of mahaprayan is everywhere. Why? Because it is widely observed for the death of a regular citizen.

So it is neither something special, nor unique, nor divine. Nor is it lofty or godly. And certainly it is not for Taraka Brahma.

The term mahaprayan is directly used in the above article that is written in Bengali. It is the last word of the title in purple. And the mahaprayan word also appears many times throughout the article itself.

If you type this in as a Google search then you will see it there printed as well.

TREATING BABA AS MORTAL, IS SINFUL

Remember the program of mahaprayan Mahaprayana is used to indicate the death of an ordinary human being who has made their departure from this world. That is why such a gathering is not done for Taraka Brahma because He did not depart - He is the eternal Parama Purusa. So the mahaprayan Mahaprayana is for regular humans, i.e. mortals. And to apply this to that vast, timeless Entity - the Parama Purusa Baba - is sinful.

"The one formless, beginningless and infinite Parama Brahma (Supreme Consciousness) is the only entity to be attained by living beings – That alone is Jagat Guru (the Supreme preceptor), That alone has revealed Brahmavidyá (intuitional science) to us through the medium of the name and form of Anandamúrtijii. Unit beings must be made to appreciate Its majesty." (CC-2, Sadhana, pt #1a)

Mahaprayan: Why Not Samkalpa Divas + They Died With-Techniques

Baba

This email contains three sections:
1. Posting: Whay not Samkalpa Divas

Mahaprayan: WHY NOT SAMKALPA DIVAS

Namaskar,
The mahaprayan divas (MPD) dogma is bad, which is why margiis do not like to take part. So now the organisers are considering repacking this program with a new name.

PLOY OF NAME-CHANGING

Once again some are considering changing the name of the dogmatic mahaprayan Mahaprayana (MPD) program as if simply changing the name would increase its integrity.

But Ananda Marga dharmikas will not be swayed.

Whatever the name, so-called mahaprayan is inherently flawed because of its very origin. Changing the name to "samkalpa divas" is just one public relations ploy and will not enhance the intrinsic value. So-called mahaprayan is a dogma based on dogma and it will always be a dogma - regardless of the name of the program.

So no one should be duped by the campaign to call mahaprayan Mahaprayana divas as samkalpa divas - as if that will make everything alright. The program itself is dogmatic - regardless of the name.

OLD DOGMA NEW NAME

All in all, it is just like how some shady politicians refer to the bribes they receive as financial gifts. But no matter what term they use, still it is a bribe. Or it is just like how illegal drug dealers refer to their shop as  a flower shop - when in fact all they are selling is illicit narcotics etc.

Similarly no matter how much some try to paint the so-called (MPD) program as a devotional gathering by changing the name or repackaging it in some way, still it will be so-called mahaprayan - a dogmatic occasion.

After all, fact is fact; there is no way to escape it.

So-called mahaprayan is based on the dogma that Baba is gone and even the organisers openly describe it as a somber and sorrowful occasion.

Plus in the early years of the so-called mahaprayan observance, the shraddhanjali (death ceremony mantra) was recited; and, over the years food has generally been widely distributed just like in the Hindu custom for any funeral.

So in all kinds of ways, the so-called mahaprayan is nothing but a death day event - a day of dogmatic worship which proclaims that Sadguru is gone.

When we know that the eternal truth is that Sadguru lives in the hearts of devotees.

"I (Baba) am always eternally present in Vrindavan, in the hearts of devotees. That is Guru cakra. I do not go even a little away from that. I am eternally present along with the devotees." (1)

WHY DOGMATIC OBSERVANCE

See here how the so-called mahaprayan program has been described over the years by the organisers.

These examples furthermore reveal the nature of their MPD program. So changing the name will not make it any different from what it really is.

(A) They call MPD a "solemn observation" when "Baba left this world". So in their heart of hearts this is a sad day for them and they have admitted that they feel Baba is gone. That is why no matter what they call it, so-called mahaprayan is nothing but a dogmatic observance, and not any type of devotional gathering.

(B) Secondly, the worshippers of mahaprayan do naryan seva (mass feeding) on this day, just as dogmatic Hindus do on their death day anniversary observances.

See how the organisers of MPD have described the event:
"The distribution of clothes to the poor of the locality and free feeding of thousands from amongst the poverty stricken followed."

And indeed the whole world knows that on any death day ceremony then ritualistic Hindus always distribute food to the poor. This is how the sorrowful death day is observed - all done to help the deceased get a spot in heaven (svarga). And this same ritual has consistently been done during so-called mahaprayan, and in the name of samkalpa divas etc.

(C) Just as people line up to pay their respects to the deceased, similarly the worshippers of so-called mahaprayan do the same thing.

See here how the organisers of MPD have described the event:
"[People] lined up to pay their heartfelt regards to the Samadhi [tombstone] of their Dearest Guru."

Why do they write like this? Because in their heart and mind they think that Sadguru is gone and mahaprayan is nothing but one death day ceremony.

They may try to call it "samkalpa divas", or label it as some kind of devotional program but those with eyes to see understand that it is nothing but a dogmatic death day event.

INTENTION OF ATTAINING SELFISH PLEASURES

Here Baba exposes the mentality behind those organisers of the dogmatic Mahaprayan gathering.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "Human beings yield to this dogma with the sole intention of attaining selfish pleasures; even educated people knowingly submit to dogma. They know that they are surrendering their intellect to dogma, and that the outcome will be undesirable; they know and understand everything - why, even then, do they knowingly submit to it? They are all deliberate sinners and intentionally accept dogmas as truth. They observe that these dogmas are based on a´tma-sukha tattva; but they think, "I don't care whether it does good or harm to others, because at least I have got some pleasure out of it!" Being motivated by this idea, they enslave themselves to dogmas." (2)

Some of the organisers think if they can make money from this event then that satisfies their selfish desire. Plus by proclaiming that Baba is gone then they can make up their own rules to exploit margiis. And that is what we have seen happening since 1990.

LABELING IT AS SAMKALPA DIVAS WILL NOT DO

That is why margiis around the globe are outrightly rejecting the so-called mahaprayan program as they know it is just one sinful and dogmatic occasion. No matter how the organisers attempt to package it - i.e. "samkalpa divas" etc - still it will be one dogma.

Just as a bribe will always be a bribe, i.e. something illegal, regardless if some call it a financial gift. Same is the situation with so-called mahaprayan Mahaprayana. No matter how it is decorated or labeled, so-called mahaprayan will always be done one dogma.

DOGMA MUST BE REPLACED BY NON-DOGMA

Parama Purusa Baba states, "Should one dogma be replaced by another dogma of the same order or of another order? Should a dogma of a positive order be replaced by a dogma of a positive order or by a dogma of a negative order? A dogma is an illogical, irrational sentiment. All dogma must be replaced by non-dogma." (3)

After reading Baba's above guideline we should be pointed about this below query:

Should MPD Mahaprayana dogma be replaced by Samkalpa Divas or oath dogma? No.

Namaskar,
at His lotus feet,
Prakash

They Died With Those Special Techniques

"There is a secret technique to raise this serpentine coil. Previously this technique was not clearly given. At that time some people thought it proper to keep it secret. If something harmful to individual or collective life is not given, that is good; but the useful things have to be given. People will be more attracted to do sádhaná."

"The first thing is that this kulakuńd́alinii rises slowly from the múládhára cakra to the sahasrára cakra in eight steps, it passes through eight cakras, and the sahasrára cakra is the ninth. Just below the sahasrára cakra is the guru cakra. When one meditates at the guru cakra, the kuńd́alinii takes one jump upwards, and the mind goes to the other side of the cakra [i.e., to the sahasrára.] This is the technique of sádhaná, but it has previously neither been explained nor written in books."

"The kulakuńd́alinii rises upward in eight jumps or phases, so with two syllables in a siddha mantra, the kuńd́alinii will jump four times. But a general, or publicly-given, siddha mantra will make the kulakuńd́alinii jump eight times or in eight phases. That is why such a siddha mantra has eight syllables. So you should understand that a proper kiirtana must have eight syllables, never seven or nine syllables.." (DKG, p.22)

Note 1: This was the prevalent dogma in the past in India that so-called gurus of the past did not like to share their all their knowledge or reveal all of their techniques to their disciples. They were thinking they should keep something 'special' for themselves otherwise their prestige and own value will be lost. So they withheld certain teachings and they died with those special techniques.

In that case, their disciples only got 99% or so of what the guru had - not everything, not that last 1%. Gradually then from one generation to the next 1% kept getting withheld until finally everything got completely diluted.

And now in places like India in the name of spirituality, only dogma is left. This is the reason why: The withholiding of vital information. This applies to other fields as well such as medicine etc. This same type of withholding of information and technique occurs in many fields. All done by selfish people to "enhance" their prestige. When, in truth, it undermines their greatness. This dogma and defective way must be stopped.

Note 2: Baba has given the idea in Namah Shivaya Shantaya that when one gets proper students who are eager and capable, then in that case tell them everything. Do not withhold any information or keep anything secret. That will be disservice to the society.

Mahaprayan: Not For Sadguru + Unless Food Is Chewed..

Mahaprayan: NOT FOR SADGURU

Namaskar,
Here below is a public announcement about the mahaprayan of a regular human being.

As we know, the concept of "mahaprayan"Mahaprayana means death - i.e. the death of an ordinary human being. And that is exactly what is displayed in the below scene. They are holding and stabilizing the corpse's head etc.

Such mahaprayan programs are held everywhere; this is the accepted occasion for one's death throughout India and other regions.

All should know that these mahaprayan Mahaprayana functions are not something special or unique - it is a death ceremony. So it is not a lofty tradition - just it is a dogma, as often they observe the death year after year etc. Also, please know that the below person was not an Ananda Margii.

The concept of mahaprayan is used to denote the death of a human being who has departed  this world. The mahaprayan of every human being is observed. That is why the mahaprayan ceremony is not for Taraka Brahma because He did not depart - He is the eternal Parama Purusa. So the mahaprayan concept is for ordinary deceased humans, i.e. those who lost their mortal life.

The term mahaprayan is directly used in the photo. If you type this in as a Google search then you will see it there printed as well.

The mahapryan word is written twice in Hindi on this image.

Some think that we should live happily and not care about all these things. That is the wrong approach and defeats the purpose of creating the organisation. All kinds of societal dogmas were in vogue and Baba created Ananda Marga to eradicate those dogmas. Naturally then we must not allow such dogmas in our very own organisation, AMPS. If we ignore those dogmas it defeats the purpose of the formation of Ananda Marga.

THEY NEVER LIKE TO ADMIT

Unfortunately when this point is raised then those in Tiljala never accept that mahaprayan is merely a death ceremony. Yet all know that mahaprayan is a death ceremony and that is what their annual fake mahaprayan Mahaprayana (MPD) in Tiljala is also - an annual death ceremony. And this annual death ceremony is anti Ananda Marga.

In Him,
Shailendra Mukherjee

The Liver Can Never Function Properly

"In order to digest starches and carbohydrates, the saliva of the mouth must help at the preliminary stage. Chewing food brings an adequate quantity of saliva into the mouth. No sooner does the food mixed with saliva enter the stomach than the liver and the pancreas are enabled to start secreting their bile and digestive fluids. So unless food is chewed well, the liver can never function properly." (Yogic Treatments, p.1)

Note: In the fast-paced life of this 21st century, people no longer give themselves proper time to attend to their basic life duties, such as eating food. Instead people just rush off from one appointment to another and "grab a bite to eat" along the way. In their hectic pace, instead of chewing their food properly they just take a bite or two and swallow it. Or they nearly inhale their meal, without chewing it at all. As Baba warns us, this way of "eating" is terribly hazardous to the health and invites many diseases.

~ I Was Counting The Days For Your Arrival ~

"Pal gune kato din cale geche, madhuma'se madhul cha'ya'y, ele tumi...barasa'y...  (P.S. 4484)

Purport:

O' Parama Purusa, in longing for You, I was counting the days for Your arrival. My days passed in the spring season - sitting in the shade of the flowery Indian olive tree which was filled with nectar; but You did not come that time. Now though You have come in the pouring rain. When my life was filled with spring and joy then You did not come to rejoice, but now You have come to relieve me of my suffering. I have prepared the garland with sweet fragrant flowers - like the bela’, bakula, and yuthika - and full a basket of flowers has also been kept for You. Now though You have come in the pouring rain.

O' my Lord, so many days have passed and so many intoxicating nights, with that sweet breeze, passed in longing and crying - but that time You did not come. How many days have come and gone with the smile of tender new leaves. Time passed in looking towards the path of Your arrival in my flower garden, with various kinds of decorations. But You did not come in the spring time. Now though You have come in the pouring rain.

The crimson dawn, which was so beautiful in the morning, was lost in the hot sun of the mid-day. But with the sound of thunder in the evening sky You appeared, making me forget that pain. Now You have come secretly in a surprising way; and now You are next to me. All my suffering and pain was removed in a flash by having You in this intimate manner.

Baba in my good days at the time of spring season - when flowers were blossoming - that time You did not come; but now You have come during this pouring rain. Baba You are ever-gracious...

Mahaprayan Divas of a Woman, Haridwar

Baba

MAHAPRAYANA DIVAS OF A WOMAN, Haridwar

Namaskar,
Here below is the 8th annual mahaprayan Mahaprayana divas (death day anniversary) of one woman. The concept of "mahaprayan" signifies the death of a human being; it is a common phenomenon across the Indian subcontinent.

Indeed, the program of mahaprayan is everywhere; it is widely observed for the death of a regular citizen. It is not something special or unique or divine. It is not something godly and not for Taraka Brahma.

At this gathering there is a big yellow banner announcing the program.

-> The top line of the yellow banner in red lettering states:

A’t’aviin punya-tithi meaning 8th anniversary of her September death

-> The third line of the yellow banner in red lettering states:

   Mahaprayan divas = death day

So this is the occasion or gathering of the 8th annual death day observance of this woman.

The friends, family, well-wishers, and relatives of the deceased are sitting just below the banner.

Remember the program of mahaprayan is used to insinuate the death of a woman who has made his departure from this world. That is why such a gathering is not done for Taraka Brahma because He did not depart - He is the eternal Parama Purusa. So the mahaprayan Mahaprayana is for ordinary humans, i.e. mortals.

The use of the mahaprayan program for Taraka Braham Parama Purusa is a dogma. There no MPD for Lord Shiva nor Lord Krsna. So this mahapryan dogma is polluting Ananda Marga.

In the service of Parama Purusa,
Gopal Tiwari

Living Entity-Dead + Wt C. Rule: Why Vow of Silenc

Baba

This email contains three sections:
1. Posting: Living Entity Declared Dead

3. Links

LIVING ENTITY DECLARED DEAD

Namaskar,
In a few discourses, Baba reveals how one hunter dipped his arrow in poison and took aim to shoot a deer, only to realise that he actually shot Lord Krsna. Baba tells about this incident in detail yet even then He gives no mention of the day, date, time and place. That shows us that He does not wish to highlight those aspects. This must not be done with Taraka Brahma. We must be very strict and never pay heed to the day, date, time and place of leaving the physical body. Because Taraka Brahma is ever-present.

HOW PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE TO LEAVE THEIR DOGMA

Some group leaders have worked hard to drag their chosen dogma in through the front door of our Marga. This has been their life's endeavour since 1990.

In turn, we should be extremely careful because once a dogma arrives, it is not easy to kick out. Some key examples of this are the Shivaliunga or phallic worship, circumcision, yajina etc. People know these things are bad, but even then they do not give them up.

In those prehistoric times, when people were less developed, they brought much attention on phallic worship as they followed the principle: Strength in numbers. They thought therein lied their welfare and victory.

As people progressed, they realised that they should meditate on God and not indulge in any type of ritualistic phallic worship.

But by that point it as too late. Already the temples had been completely overrun with Shivaliunga and phallic worship. And still today this type of worship and presentation is prevalent.

Here the point is that once a dogma enters the house it is not easy to get rid of it. So the MPD dogma must be removed.

DELIBERATE SINNERS AND INTENTIONALLY ACCEPT DOGMAS AS TRUTH

Indeed, in view of the pilgrimages of Haj and Mecca etc, such geo-oriented group leaders wanted some ritualistic event wherein they could dance and brag about their place. Hence they continue to host their annual dogmatic program at their HQ. In this way they derive selfish pleasure.

It is a dogma, but this is what makes them happy in life.

Baba says, "This dogma in its turn is entirely based on a'tma-sukha tattva. Human beings yield to this dogma with the sole intention of attaining selfish pleasures; even educated people knowingly submit to dogma. They know that they are surrendering their intellect to dogma, and that the outcome will be undesirable; they know and understand everything – why, even then, do they knowingly submit to it? They are all deliberate sinners and intentionally accept dogmas as truth. They observe that these dogmas are based on a'tma-sukha tattva; but they think, “I don’t care whether it does good or harm to others, because at least I have got some pleasure out of it!” Being motivated by this idea, they enslave themselves to dogmas." (NH-LOI, Disc: 6)

THOSE NOT SUFFERING FROM GEO-SENTIMENT CAN UNDERSTAND

Indeed all those margiis and wts not attached to any form of geo-sentiment will realise the completeness of Baba's teachings and that only a few who wish to dogmatically highlight their own land as a pilgrimage etc. For them it is also a money-making venture.

Their dogma is just based on selfish gratification or a'tma sukha tattva, and not anything dharmic. All rational margiis can easily understand the point.

As His disciples, we should pay heed to Baba's example and represent His ideals by our own conduct.

Namaskar,
In Him,
Pradiip Basu

The section below demarcated by asterisks is an entirely different topic,

*************************************************************
WT Conduct Rule:

Why Vow of Silence

Baba says, "You will cultivate the practice of maonbrat (vow of silence) at least half an hour every day during working hours." (Fourteen Points: Point #9)

Note: In the above conduct rule Baba is giving the solution of one common problem. Because many suffer from the mental disease of gossiping needlessly. It can happen to anyone but certain Wts are more indulged because they talk all day long. Even if a kiirtan program is going on then still they are sitting and talking non-stop. So this is the bad habit of some Wts.

To stop this Baba has given the aforementioned conduct rule. So if anyone is not following Baba's above guideline then they should be encouraged (or pressurized) to practice it. And by that way they will gain control over their negative habit of talking uselessly. Indeed by that way one can make the extroverted mind introverted.

Narcissistic Wts

Baba

This email contains three sections:
1. Posting: Narcissistic Wts
2. End Quote: Why Religion Is Bad
3. Links

NARCISSISTIC WTS

Warning: Those who do not have reverence should not read this letter. The basic quality for understanding this mail is deep reverence for Guru.

Namaskar,
I have great regard and admiration for Dada Sarvatmanandji - he has done a tremendous job on many levels; but look what has happened here.

“You shall protect, in all respects and at all costs, the dignity of your treasures and the sanctity of your flag, of your emblem, and of the pratikrti [photo] of Márga Guru.” (1)

"Trtiiyam' gurupújanam. I must have reverence for the guru. What is the guru? Gu means “darkness”, that is, darkness in the psycho-spiritual sphere. And ru means “dispelling agent”. That is, he who dispels darkness from my psychic and spiritual body is the guru. Gu means “darkness”, ru means “dispeller”. “Trtiiyam' gurupújanam. That is, you must have respect for the guru." (2)

SEE THE DEED OF AC. SARVATMANANDJI

Now look what Ac Sarvatmananda Avt is doing - he is standing directly in front of Guru's photo - blocking it entirely. This is not the proper way for any devotee to behave. With their common sense, no devotee or sadhaka can think of sitting with their back to Guru - blocking Him entirely.

Yet here, at a recent DMS in Bangalore, we see Dada Sarvatmanandji standing directly in front of Guru's image. Dadaji's back is 100% towards Baba. That also means that all those margiis in attendance are unable to see Sadguru Baba because Dadaji is blocking their view and covering up Baba from head to toe. This is a most disgraceful occurence.

Not only that, Dada Sarvatmanandaji has contravened a basic, fundamental rule that even ordinary citizens follow. At any gathering, the best seat is always reserved for the most respected person. At conventions, the president gets the best seat; at forums, the invited speaker gets the best seat; at weddings, a special place is reserved for the bride and groom. But, this basic ethic Dadaji could not follow, as he stood directly in front of Sadguru Baba.

MUST BE MADE TO APPRECIATE HIS MAJESTY

"The one formless, beginningless and infinite Parama Brahma (Supreme Consciousness) is the only entity to be attained by living beings – That alone is Jagat Guru (the Supreme preceptor), That alone has revealed Brahmavidyá (intuitional science) to us through the medium of the name and form of Anandamúrtijii. Unit beings must be made to appreciate Its majesty." (3)

TOO MUCH SELF IMPORTANCE IS DISEASE

All in all it is a sad and unfortunate showing by Dada Sarvatmanandji. Because his mind is not in a devotional way, he cannot think that what he is doing is sinful. Indeed, this happens when one places too much importance on their own unit self. They feel they should be glorified - and given greater value. This is one of the class signs and symptoms of narcissism. Please see the list below, further down in this mail.

However, when one's mind is in a more devotional space, then they can easily understand. This below story works in that direction.

When they themselves are not following the fundamental tenets of dharma then what are they going to teach others. They will just waste their time in infighting, unfortunately.

SOLUTION:

PRESERVING SANCTITY OF GURU'S PHOTO

As we know, in our dharmacakra halls and jagrtis etc, Guru's photo must be prominently displayed at all times - with due reverence and regard. Best then is to have two photos on display - one lower (around 4 feet off ground), and one higher (around 7 feet off the ground.)

If everyone is sitting in sadhana or Guru Puja then both photos should be displayed. Because everyone is low to the ground and no one will block or disrespect Guru's image.

And if someone is standing or giving a talk, or if akhanda kiirtan is being done, then the lower photo, which is only four feet off the ground, should either be turned around or covered by a small curtain. That way those standing will not block or hover over Guru's photo. At the same time, the higher photo - which is around 7 feet above the ground - will be in full view of all. Those standing will have no chance of blocking that photo. Thus the sanctity of Guru's photo will be maintained and the devotional environment preserved.

NARCISSISTIC PERSONALITY DISORDER
(Courtesy of the Mayo Clinic)

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. Those with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they're superior to others and have little regard for other people's feelings.

Narcissistic personality disorder is one of several types of personality disorders. Personality disorders are conditions in which people have traits that cause them to feel and behave in socially distressing ways.

Narcissistic personality disorder treatment is centered around psychotherapy.

Narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by dramatic, emotional behavior, which is in the same category as antisocial and borderline personality disorders.

Narcissistic personality disorder symptoms may include:

Believing that you're better than others
Fantasizing about power, success and attractiveness
    Exaggerating your achievements or talents
    Expecting constant praise and admiration
Believing that you're special and acting accordingly
Failing to recognize other people's emotions and feelings
Expecting others to go along with your ideas and plans
    Taking advantage of others
Expressing disdain for those you feel are inferior
    Being jealous of others
    Appearing as tough-minded or unemotional

When you have narcissistic personality disorder, you may come across as conceited, boastful or pretentious. You often monopolize conversations. You may belittle or look down on people you perceive as inferior. You may have a sense of entitlement. And when you don't receive the special treatment to which you feel entitled, you may become very impatient or angry. You may insist on having "the best" of everything — the best car, athletic club, medical care or social circles, for instance.

Believing that you're special and acting accordingly.

PROOF OF SARVATMANANDJI’S NARCISSISM

So Dada Sarvatmanandji’s way of standing directly in front of Guru's image is proof of his narcissistic personality disorder. In Ananda Marga Guru is the most revered Entity. The only way one can completely block Sadguru’s image and stand in front of Him is if that person truly feels that they are great and deserving of the highest honour. Such is the extreme degree of Dadaji’s narcissism.

In Him,
Shankar Sen

Note: BABA STORY OF TAIWAN

Once Baba visited Taiwan He graciously gave PC to numerous sadhakas. In particular, after giving PC to one margii, that margii walked backwards towards the door so that he could face towards Baba as he was leaving the room. There is a tradition in the east to never turn your back on those whom you respect. Later on, Baba commented to those around that He appreciated what the margii did.

Here again we should remind ourselves how the Dadas in the above photo did not follow this following basic mandate.

“You shall protect, in all respects and at all costs, the dignity of your treasures and the sanctity of your flag, of your emblem, and of the pratikrti [photo] of Márga Guru.” (4)

Why Religion Is Bad

"Átmánátman viveka will teach you that the Singular Eternal Entity in the form of Consciousness should be your only object of ideation. You will see the colours of religion fade before your eyes as the pure white effulgence of dharma shines with ever-increasing brilliance."

"All the “isms” prevalent in today's world can easily be included in the category of religions. All the defects of religions exist in the “isms” too. None of the political, social or economic “isms” are free from superstition none are straightforward; all are full of rampant hypocrisy. In all “isms”, doctrines and religions, the scriptural authority is supreme. There is no scope for the functioning of the five types of conscience, no place for service, love or devotion. With the help of falsehood and immorality, these “isms,” doctrines and religions slander and make accusations against each other. They make attractive promises to the people while hiding their own internal sins. In fact, false piety is not the path of dharma, leading to welfare, but the opposite of dharma, the negation of welfare. They can be likened to asses wearing lion skins: take away the lion skins and their their true form will be revealed. They have no other purpose than to grab votes and usurp power. The mentality to grab the votes first and then serve the people is not the true spirit of selfless social service; rather, it is the mentality of power craving materialists."

"You will have to advance with the true spirit of genuine social service, because the very characteristic of dharma is to promote the cause of welfare. Dharma and welfare are inseparable. Religion and intolerance have created enormous harm in the world, have caused torrents of blood to stain the rivers red. In the present twentieth century, religions have assumed the form of “isms”."

"The people of medieval times fought among the clans and communities, and the people of today are fighting over their “isms”....... To emancipate the masses from the unhealthy influence of “isms” there is no other way than universalism. Only universalism is free from the defects of any narrowisms because every thing of this entire universe comes within its vast periphery." (AMIWL pt 7, p. 533)

Mahaprayan for Mortal Humans, Not For God #7

MAHAPRAYANA IS OBSERVED FOR Mortal HUMANS

 NOT FOR PARAMA PURUSA

~ Part 7 ~

Namaskar,
Here below is a public announcement about the 2nd annual (2014) mahaprayan Mahaprayana of a regular human being, the late Mr. Sadhanananda. The article details how Mr. Sadhanananda died in Dacca, Bangladesh.

It is announced in this news that on his mahaprayan day they planneed food distribution, donations to the poor, and other activities typical of a mahaprayan gathering.

So doing all these rituals (food distribution and donations to the poor etc) as part of the mahaprayan observance are not new in India. This has been going on for centuries.

Hence the Tiljala mahaprayan programme is just another addition of this Hindu dogma. Indeed, when common Hindu believers see the Tiljala mahaprayan Mahaprayana event, they think it is an expression of their Hindu tradition.

Thus, throughout the Bangla-speaking world, inside and outside of India, when a person dies then the term “mahaprayan” is used.

And in the below article, the term mahaprayan is used extensively throughout:
(1) It is the 2nd to last word of the 3rd line of the first paragraph.
(2) It is the last word of the 2nd line of the third paragraph.
(3) It is the 3rd word of the first line of the last paragraph.

In all the aforesaid places the term mahaprayan appears in the below article.

This demonstrates that the term "mahaprayan" is used to signify the death of a human being; it is a common phenomenon not only in India - but throughout the Bengali-speaking world, as evidenced in the case of Mr Sadhanananda. And it is also used in various non-Bengali speaking areas. The term mahaprayan is everywhere; it is widely used for all kinds of people to signify their death. It is not something special or unique. This below person was not an Ananda Margii.

The word “mahaprayan” used in the photo is in the Bengali language.

In this photo - as well as in its regular usage - the term mahaprayan is used to insinuate the death of a man who has made his departure from this world. That is why this word is not used for Taraka Brahma because He did not depart - He is the eternal Parama Purusa. So the mahaprayan term is for ordinary humans, i.e. mortals.

Some think that we should live happily and not care about all these things. That is the wrong approach and defeats the purpose of creating the organisation. All kinds of societal dogmas were in vogue and Baba created Ananda Marga to eradicate those dogmas, and establish bhagavad dharma. Naturally then we must not allow such dogmas in our very own organisation, AMPS. If we ignore those dogmas it defeats the purpose of the formation of Ananda Marga.

The term mahaprayan is directly used in the photo. If you type this in as a Google search then you will see it there printed as well.

THEY NEVER LIKE TO ADMIT THEIR HYPOCRISY

Unfortunately when this point is raised then those in Tiljala never accept that mahaprayan  is merely a death ceremony. So this is their hypocrisy. Mahaprayan Mahaprayana is a death ceremony that is what their annual fake mahaprayan (MPD) is also - a death ceremony.

H group is not innocent in this regard. They also observe this annually, though not in the grand way that Tiljala does.

in Him,
Rakhal Chandra Dey

Should Purodhas Dance On Stage

Baba says, "An a'ca'raya or purodha' cannot actively participate in any acting." (CC-1)

Note: Keeping Baba's above guideline in view, see the standard of certain Wts (acaryas and purodhas) who have acted on stage at various retreats and seminars. Every margii should be aware of the rules so that when something like this occurs they can come forward and help rectify the situation - thereby upholding Baba's directive. One purodha well known for violating this rule in the past was Dada V in NY sector who would sing and dance rap music on stage at the annual summer retreats etc - hopefully he has since mended his ways.

~ With Your Advent, The Inert Humanity Has Awakened Today ~

"Stabdha ma'navata' ja'galo go ja'galo..."  (PS #366)

Purport:

O’ Parama Purusa, with Your advent, the inert humanity has awakened today. Expression has come to its previously dumb mouth. Beacons of light enliven it and cast away dark staticity.

The humanity was sleeping since ages in a deep slumber and submerged in dogma & inertness. That humanity could not understand what is dharma and adharma, nor could they follow any do's and don'ts or protest against injustices. Today, that humanity has become awakened, by His grace. Those who were unable to speak, such dumb persons have gained the courage to speak out against falsehood & injustice, by Your divine grace.

There is no looking back. Today, let us all collectively move along the path of light. In the eastern sky, the newly coloured sun awakens.

The flashes of light lured the flowers to bloom. The consciousness dawns in human minds and the hypnotic spells of lethargy, apathy, and soul-destroying vacuity, have vanished out of sight. Baba, O’ Parama Purusa, with Your advent, everything has changed...

Mahaprayan of Mortal Humans, Jhabua #6 + Brainchild Of Mortals

MAHAPRAYAN IN Jhabua MP #6

Namaskar,
Here below is a public announcement video about the mahaprayan of a regular human being, Mr Pargi of Madhya Pradesh (India). As many may know Madhya Pradesh is geographically directly in the middle of India and boasts a population of 74 million inhabitants. Thus Madhya Pradesh is larger than most countries of the world, by population. And when a person dies then the term “mahaprayan” is used.

This demonstrates that the term "mahaprayan" is used to signify the death of a human being is a common phenomenon in my country - just like the below image of Mr Pargi. The term mahaprayan is everywhere; it is widely used for all kinds of people to signify their death. It is not something special or unique. This below person was not an Ananda Margii.

The word “mahaprayan” is used in the photo is in the Hindi language.

Action, Reaction Fate & Blaming God

Here below Baba gives a grand summary of our samskara theory with the culminating idea being that humans alone are responsible and accountable for the reactions they must experience. There is no question of blaming God or anyone else.

"Human beings keep on performing new actions also, while experiencing the reactions of previous actions. This experiencing of the result of previous actions is called the unknown future or fate (adrśt́a). One experiences the result of one’s actions in a subsequent life and cannot then recollect the actions whose results bring happiness and grief, because a person’s memory is not large enough to remember or know the deeds of their past lives. Reactions which humans experience were collected in previous lives, and in present life they cannot make out the cause of such experiences, and hence term these experiences as fate or the unknown future. People often hold Parama Puruśa responsible for calamities that befall them, but in fact they alone are responsible, as the suffering of fate is only reaction of their own previous actions. How can Parama Puruśa be responsible? Human beings themselves are answerable for their fate as it is their actions alone which create it. They alone will have to bear the consequences of all their actions. No one else can substitute for them. Their good deeds beget good results, while bad ones beget bad results, and they will have to experience both without any exception. This is the law of Prakrti and no one can change this law." MAHAPRAYANA OF Human Beings #5

Namaskar,
Here below is a public announcement video about the mahaprayan of a regular human being.

In this scene - shown below - local citizens and admirers are carrying their deceased “guruji.” They recognise that their guru has breathed his last - expired from this earth - and died. Hence they are performing the last rites for their fallen guru. This is a traditional part of any death ceremony which is commonly called mahaprayan in our land.

Using the term "mahaprayan" to signify the death of a human being is a common phenomenon in my country. The term mahaprayan is everywhere; it is widely used for all kinds of people to signify their death. It is not something special or unique. This below person was not an Ananda Margii.

The word “mahaprayan” Mahaprayana is used directly in the title of the below photo heading, “Mahaprayan of Guruji*.”

All kinds of societal dogmas were in vogue and Baba created Ananda Marga to eradicate those dogmas. Naturally then we must not allow such dogmas in our very own organisation, AMPS. If we ignore those dogmas it defeats the purpose of the formation of Ananda Marga.

The term mahaprayan is directly used in the title of this news photo. If you type this in as a Google search and you will see it there printed as well.

THEY NEVER LIKE TO ADMIT THEIR HYPOCRISY

Unfortunately when this point is raised then those in Tiljala never accept that mahaprayan  is merely a death ceremony. So this is their hypocrisy. Mahaprayan is a death ceremony that is what their annual fake mahaprayan (MPD) is also - a death ceremony.

In Him,

* As we know, in India there are thousands and millions of gurus. Even those who teach children how to play are known as gurus. There are countless gurus; human beings are given this title for all aspects of life.

"NOBODY WILL KNOW ABOUT OUR HYPOCRISY AND SINS"

Namaskar,

You writing is very relevant.

In the early days after 1990 they were 100% united in their activities. Together these people wrote a declaration and announced that Baba (Master) has not only departed but He has so-called greatly departed; i.e. mahaprayan. They thought, "Now we are free. Nobody is watching us; nobody will know about our hypocrisy and sins; nobody will hold us accountable for our actions; we are free; so let's enjoy."

I have always maintained that "mahaprayan" Mahaprayana is the root of the crises in Ananda Marga. The MPD resolution which was passed  on the 25th August 1991 was an acknowledgement/ affirmation that Baba is no more and we have the freedom to do as we please.

I am optimistic that there can be a turn around  in our Ananda Marga providing that MPD is discarded into the rubbish bin where it belongs.

The section below demarcated by asterisks is an entirely different topic,
completely unrelated to the above material. It stands on its own as a point of interest.

Coward Devotee Means No Devotion

Baba says, "You must continue doing good to society, and at the same time must fight against the bad...On the path of dharma, one is not only to do noble deeds; one must also fight against the dishonest people both are virtuous actions. There are many good people in the society - noble people engaged in noble deeds - who are not ready to fight against wrongs and injustices. This sort of passive benevolence does not really promote the cause of human progress in the world. What is desirable is to acquire virtue by doing noble deeds and fighting against all sins and crimes. Both are mandatory, both an integral part of dharma." (AV-8, p.50-51)

Note: If we follow Baba's above mandate our organisation will be free from all kinds of negativity. Stagnant minded people will not get the opportunity to pollute Baba's ideology by imposing their dogma.
