We all know Baba places great importance on the study of history as it enables both individuals and communities to learn from past mistakes and thereby progress. Failing that, without the study of history, people commit the same old errors over and over again. In which case, they remain shackled by the pitfalls of the past and are unable to advance. So the review of history holds a unique place for the development of any society.

Our AM magazines should properly reflect Sadguru Baba’s teachings. That is why all those involved in publishing AM magazines like our Prout Journal should have a keen understanding of AM ideology. Without that, it is certain that those magazines will go astray.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "The complexion of the historical Krs'n'a who lived in Dva'para Yuga was not black." (1)

So Ananda Marga philosophy teaches us that Lord Krsna was not black in color. But somehow, in Indian dogma, they had the long-standing belief that Lord Krsna was black. But that is wrong - and there are many reasons behind this falsehood.

Here below is the photo from the Prout magazine. In that photo, one person is standing and one is sitting; and, the person sitting is Lord Krsna - and His colour is according to Hindu dogma. But Ananda Marga philosophy states something different, so these magazine editors are compromising our AM ideals.

Suffice to say here that the main aim of our Prout magazines like Delhi Prout is to propagate the ideals of Prout. And Prout is a part of Ananda Marga philosophy. Because Prout itself is the 5th chapter of Ananda Sutram. So the Prout magazine is dedicated to the ideals of Prout and Ananda Marga philosophy.

But on many occasions it is noted that the editors are doing just the opposite. In this above photo from Vol No 2, Issue no 03 of the Delhi English Prout magazine, they have adopted the ways of the dogmatic Hindus and portray Lord Krsna as having black skin.

Not a small matter

The main reason they are doing this is is to appease Hindu dogmatic believes that - “We are aligned with you.” Yet by this way those Prout mag editors are compromising with Prout philosophy and the teachings of Ananda Marga.

Sadly, when they have no courage to express this simple point that Lord Krsns did not have black skin, then it gives the feeling that how are they going to fight against more involved dogmas & exploitation.

Here we must reflect on this guideline from Ananda Marga philosophy.

Cowardliness of any sort should not be permitted

Ananda Vanii states, “The human society of today has advanced considerably in the intellectual sphere. It must no longer sit inert. By applying all its might, the march of universal humanism must be made smooth by hook or by crook. Hence no latitude in procrastination or cowardliness of any sort should be permitted in this regard.” (4)


Note: What if this happened to you

If someone portrayed your own image in a drastically different colour for their own political gain then surely you will not appreciate this. And in the case of Lord Krsna this is not a person point as it is related with the second Mahasambhuti, i.e. Lord Krsna.

My most loving One

Note: Only those bhaktas who feel a spiritual vibration in their heart can understand this song in the depths of their core.

Introduction: This following Prabhat Samgiita is the heart-felt melancholic expression of an A-grade bhakta. Prabhat Samgiita Intro: In the following song the bhakta is making a loving accusation to Parama Purusa. Such high feelings come when there is extreme intimacy and pure, one-pointed supreme  love - bhakti for Ista. Then in that case the bhakta feels internally that he has the right to demand and place his accusation at Lord's feet. So the following song is the expression of deep love for Parama Purusa.

"Bhálo bási ámi priyo, jáni tumi bhálobáso ná..." (Prabhat Samgiita #1822)

Purport:

O’ my most loving One, I love You, yet know You do not feel the same about me. Even then, I still have prema for You. Why, I have no idea. Alas, I have fallen in love with You. Only this much I feel: Without that I cannot live. Without my deep yearning for You, I feel everything is lost and my life has no meaning.

O’ my endless affection for You is just like the bumblebee that is deeply attracted to the fragrant flower. Because that blossom has no idea about the bumble’s love, the flower does not know why the bee is strongly attracted to it. At the same time, the bumble bee does not know that it is being drawn in by the flower’s fragrance. That sweet aroma attracts the bee and draws it close. But those bees do not understand why they have sincere longing for that fragrant flower. It is beyond the scope of their logic and reasoning. They do not recognise the intense feeling of their restless heart. Similarly, I cannot understand why You are pulling at my inner core.

O’ Parama Purusa, I do not know You fully, even though I always search only for You. Whatever little I know about You, that much I ideate upon. Please tell me in a straightforward manner why I restlessly seek You. Do not play this divine liila with my mind anymore. Don’t hide any longer. Kindly come before me so I can do sastaunga pranam...


Notes for Prabhat Samgiita #1822:

1. When the bhakta wants Parama Purusa to come close, yet Parama Purusa is not completely fulfilling the bhakta’s yearning, then the bhakta makes a loving accusation towards Parama Purusa: Lord, I know full well that You do not love me.”

2. According to Ananda Marga philosophy if one knows Him fully then one merges in Him. Thus so long as one is separate from Him, one cannot know Him completely. And verily one will feel that, “Lord, I do not fully know You.”

Service: do not fall prey to this mentality

Ananda Marga ideology states, “When you perform acts with the ideation that the person served is Náráyańa, there is no possibility of arrogance or the desire for fame growing in your mind. Then you will realize that through the grace of Náráyańa you have been given the opportunity of serving Náráyańa. Our hands and feet are not ours, they are His, and by serving Himself with those hands and feet, He sports with Himself. Such an action is an action without attachment. Only in this way can one attain salvation from the bondage of Karma. You must feel that the person served is Brahma. The person served is a finite manifestation of Him. Never, even by mistake, take the object as a human being.” (1)

According to the teachings of Ananda Marga philosophy, for every action there is a reaction. Good deeds yield positive reactions, and bad deeds yield adverse reactions. When serving an infirm person, you should not think that, “This person has done something wrong, and that is why I am serving them.” If one thinks like this then their entire attempt at service is for naught as there is no ideation of Narayana. One should think that, “Narayan is before me in the form of a sick person; He is playing His liila and I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve Him.” This is the proper approach.

Transformation by mere thought

  Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "That is, if one's object of thought is a thief, what will happen? What is the psychic process? When you think something, your mind is then and there divided into two parts. One subjective part, another is objective counterpart. And when you are thinking of a bad man, or a thief, what will happen? The objective counterpart of your mind will take the form of that thief, will take the form of that bad man, and slowly what will happen? Your subjective counterpart of the mind, that is, seer portion of the mind---one portion is seer and another portion is seeing. So, seer portion of the mind will be slowly converted into that bad man, and slowly you will become a bad man. So a bad man must not be your object of ideation, should not be your object of meditation. If you think of a bad man, you will become a bad man."
   "You know, there is a particular insect in India, it is called pecasha-kiit'a. It kills cockroaches. You know the cockroach, that red insect? Yes, it kills cockroach. And cockroaches are very much afraid of  that insect. So when a cockroach sees that insect, that insect becomes its object of ideation; that is, its objective counterpart of the mind  takes the form of---what? Cockroach. So what does happen? Slowly the body of the cockroach is converted into the body of that pecasha-kiit'a. That is, cockroach itself is converted into the form of its killer." (1)

Ananda Marga is dharma and opposes all forms of narrow-mindedness, casteism, and provincialism etc, and Sadguru Baba is the dharma Guru. Yet now look at what one fellow has done. He is using the name of Ananda Marga as well as Baba’s image to promote a dogmatic, hateful, and narrow agenda.

Here are the facts:

(A) First and foremost, Vinod Shukla is committing the sin of misusing and associating Sadguru Baba with a faction of Hindu fundamentalism by pasting Baba’s image in this digital placard.

(B) Under the spell of Hindu mythology etc, Vinod Shukla is calling and renaming “Shravanii Purnima” as “Guru Purnima”. This goes against our AM system.

Equating AM with Hindu fundamentalist group

(C) Now Vinod is the national president of an organisation he created called “Dindayal Upadhhya smriti manch”, which has adopted the name and memory of a dogmatic Hindu fundamentalist leader, Dindayal Upadhhya.

(D) Vinod Shukla is referencing and highlighting this dogmatic RSS leader’s name to appease those Hindu fundamentalist followers.

(E) Verily, Vinod is falsely and wrongly equating the universal dharma of Ananda Marga with the communal agenda of Hindu fundamentalism. This grossly undermines the greatness of AM. Indeed, this is akin to equating AM with the Muslim jihadiis or some other dogmatic tribe etc.

(F) All this is done by Vinod with the devious motive of gaining a special status with those top RSS / Hindu fundamentalist leaders.

(G) By this entire ordeal, this fellow Vinod is equating Baba and Ananda Marga ideology with his bogus, RSS, dogmatic agenda of glorifying the so-called brahmin caste and all sorts of harmful rituals etc.

(H) However, Sadguru Baba is the Supreme neo-humanist and Ananda Marga ideology embraces all human beings under the single banner of “One Human Society.”

(I) The aims and objectives of RSS Hindu fundamentalism are diametrically antithetical to the dharma of Ananda Marga. Remember, in the past they have written venomous articles against Ananda Marga and slandered Baba. So these people are not our friends nor ones to rub shoulders with. They want to destroy Ananda Marga teachings.

(J) It is shocking and sinful that Vinod Shukla has misused Guru’s image in this manner. It is blasphemous and sinful.

Conclusion

(K) Now is the time to contact this pseudo margii Vinod shukla and create the requisite circumstantial pressure to take down this bogus image and never repeat such sin in the future.

(L) This is a call to all right-thinking Ananda Margiis as there is no other recourse.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, “Where the question of benevolence and malevolence is concerned we will not deviate an inch from our ideology, nor will we allow others to do so.” (1)

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “Human being has but one task: to remove that which is harmful or detrimental in society. As you march along your path of movement you should oppose those people who work against the collective interest; you should raise the slogan, “Human exploitation – No more, no more!” (2)

Repeat offender

Now see this next image which Vinod did in the past. He did this same sin earlier as well, but he persists in his dogma. The person in the lower right corner is Vinod Shukla. He is a quasi-margii and has written his name in bold, red font across his chest.

To promote his narrow-minded agenda, Vinod is using Baba’s image, the pratiika, and the name “Ananda Marga”. In addition he has written “Baba Nam Kevalam” across the top of the image. All of this undermines the greatness of AM as it equates Ananda Marga with Hindu fundamentalist dogma.

No one can sing about Your infinite qualities

Note: When Parama Purusa is sitting next to the bhakta there is no use to use O’ when addressing Him.

"Túmi esecho mádhuri jhariyecho, nandan loker ánanda enecho..." (Prabhat Samgiita #3388)

Purport:

My Parama Purusa, You have come, showered supreme sweetness, inundated all with bhakti, and brought endless bliss from Your divine realm. You have filled the mind, which was previously engulfed in cimmerian darkness and dogma, with the breeze of spiritual bliss and bhakti and all things that are benevolent and good.

Parama Purusa Baba, who can sing about Your infinite qualities and grandeur - no one can. With Your form and affection, everyone gets satiated. Your loving blessing removes all suffering. You have satisfied their mental longing with the most charming music and melodies.

Baba, the Great Ocean of bliss, You are vast, infinite, and not contained by any boundaries. You have no shore. In Your endless imagination, we are just bubbles. You make everyone dance with rhythm and song carrying the vibration of nectar.

Baba, You have come and inundated this earth with bhakti...

Old religious outcaste dogma recycled in AMPS

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “You are possibly aware of the fact that there was a time when people used to bother too much about castes. And in this regard, they displayed terrible intolerance. Caste-discrimination was about to strangle humanism. In many cases this happened. People belonging to the so-called lower strata of society were not really considered human beings. In certain spheres they were treated worse than animals. It was not thought that a food item must be discarded – it is not considered so even now – when a mouse, a mole, a fly or mosquito touched it. But what to speak of it being touched by certain so-called lower-caste people or their entering the kitchen or their sitting in the kitchen veranda – in certain cases, they were even barred from entering the courtyard of the house. Although it was loudly claimed that everything is the manifestation of Brahma, Sarvaḿ khalvidaḿ Brahma, in reality all kinds of casteism were concealed within the boundaries of religion.” (1)

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “In those days the boomerang of this religious bigotry did not spare even the heads of society. On the contrary, it was Brahmans who did the greatest injury to other Brahmans. The descendents of Krttivas Thakur (his nephew’s line) had to carry a social stigma because Krttivas Thakur had committed the offence of translating the Rámáyańa into Bengali. A high-caste Brahman was downgraded due to leaving his village to settle in another. Thus surnames like Banerjees became Kusháriis, Batabyals, Máscaŕaks; similarly, Chatterjees were downgraded to Káiṋjiilals, Pákŕáshiis; Bhattacharyas became Chakravartis. For a petty offence a person was expelled from his or her caste or expelled from his or her religion. People were forced to renounce their religion or undergo various kinds of persecution under pressure of circumstances. Looking more closely, it would seem that in those days the only job of one class of people was to find fault with others, to ruin people in the name of religion.” (2)

In AMPS also

Note: In the past, innocent people were harassed, expelled, tortured, outcasted, terrorised, and killed by their own religion - for various reasons and under various pretenses. These days unfortunately a similar thing is going on in AMPS. The various factions harass, threaten, beat, and expel those who are not their yes-men, i.e. those who do not participate in their narrow agenda.

At the time of DMS or other functions, many in our AMPS may be facing this very situation. They may not be allowed to stay in certain places because they are not in a particular group, and they may not be allowed to attend a particular dharmacakra etc. And they may even be subjected to threats, attacks, expulsion, and worse.

In contrast, obedient supporters of those group leaders are rewarded with higher posts, regardless of their low character and sexual misconduct. Such yes-men become purodhas and high post holders etc, while qualified WTs, margiis, and LFTs are pushed aside, humiliated, threatened, and attacked etc. They face all sorts of problems and difficulties and are even barred from having their daughters married in Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha.

What people lacked in Lord Krsna’s time

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Lord Krsna came about 3500 years ago, when the war of the Mahabharata took place. People's individual qualities then had not taken a collective shape. People did not know the art of living collectively...they fought among themselves because they had no collective sense. Lord Krsna thought that if He combined all there would be collective spirit in the true sense of the term. Then alone all human faculties would get expanded. He tried to make people understand, but they did not understand, because there was no collective spirit in them...to synthesize them all Lord Krsna was born. Lord Krsna wanted to bring about a social synthesis, the seed of which was sown by Lord Shiva." (1)

Note: There are many things in the world which cannot be solved individually. It needs collective support. In any society where there is collective spirit then they can do a great job. That is the central idea of the above teaching.

If a Wt functions as a priest at an AM marriage ceremony, then it is obvious he will have to look at the face of a female (bride). This goes against the AM Wt conduct rulea. That stands as the main reason why Wts should not serve as priests and convene AM marriage ceremonies.

WT Conduct Rule: "One should not look at the face of the opposite sex except at the time of nursing [or administering medical care]." (37 Workers Rules, pt #15)

Unfortunately, these following fake Wts have some type of weakness wherein they vehemently opposed being told not to look at the face of the opposite sex. Because they lashed out quite strongly at the above Wt conduct rule on Facebook. Here is a look at who these Wts are; these six wrote their views on Facebook:

1. Kalyaneshvarananda Avt
2. Ramakrishnananda Avt
3. Istapremananda Avt
4. Gambhirananda Avt (Mumbai DS, Ranchi group)
5. Ratnamuktananda Avt
6. Praviinananda Avt

Sadly, the aforementioned Wts demonstrated a clear distaste about the above Wt conduct rule given by Baba.

Yet as we know every rule has its special meaning, and sadly our Wt ranks have been dwindling as many are leaving to get married. This a direct result of their not adhering to the above conduct rule and instead getting mixed up in marital dealings while a Wt.

There are two basic aspects to our society building program:

(A) Family acaryas and senior family margiis should take the lead on all issues related to marriage.
(B) Wts should be creating more Wts and not getting mixed up in arranging and performing marriage.

This is the very straightforward and practical system Baba has given.

Moreover, before 1990, family acaryas were conducting most of the AM marriages. But after 1990, WTs started working as priests and have performed almost all of the marriage ceremonies, which clearly violates their WT conduct rules.
