Kleptocracy of Rudrananda: AMPS

Baba
Kleptocracy of Rudrananda: AMPS

Namaskar,

1. Rudrananda has gone to NY sector and as we speak he is sitting in NY sectorial office. Rudrananda’s very hush-hush arrival was on 18 June and slowly, little by little, people are finding out about it.

2. Some other Dadas have also since gone to NYSO to see what is going on and gain some plus points.

Vimalananda: tossed like trash by the roadside

3. But one thing is certain. The former NYSS Vimalananda will not be on hand. Rudrananda has essentially feasted on Vimalananda’s bones and has since spit him out. Rudrananda had use for Vimalananda while Dada V was in NY and selling land and giving big money to Rudrananda. Now that Vimalananda has been switched to India, Rudrananda has almost no use for him and keeps Vimalananda at arms distance. Their relationship is grounded in pure selfishness - nothing more than at. Just like how a businessman has only one use for a mistress. And when that use is fulfilled that businessman will never call on that mistress just to say hello etc. So Vimalananda is just dried up at this point.

Rudrananda’s tour agenda in NY

4. Since Rudrananda is in NY then like last year he may attend some fake yoga event and try to rub shoulders with some so-called worldly elites to gain some prestige.

5. Another point on Rudrananda’s agenda is to promote himself as being the great, super saviour of the organisation. Those with eyes to see will never get befooled.

Solution: In ideal circumstances, all those in Centre will be true dharmikas, in which case when a representative of Centre goes to one of the nine sectors like NY sector etc, that central Dada will be vigilant in ensuring that the sector is being run in an ideological manner. The central representative will review reports on accounting, finances, properties, schools, pracara work, and Prout etc. That Central representative's visit will be of real value and not just a token photo op, nor a ploy for some selfish agenda. Sadly, what is happening these days falls far, far short of the mark.

6. There in NY sector the summer retreat is on the near horizon at Ananda Kanan. That is Rudrananda’s chief destination. Actually, they adjusted the retreat start date to July 1 because the Ranchi side is expecting very less people this year and they are actively trying to lure participants from the third front retreat in Round Top, NY which ends on July 1.

7. The Wt morale of Ranchi workers in NY is quite low and many are getting fed up and disillusioned with SS Abhiramananda. But outwardly general Wtst keep mum due to fear of retaliation. Abhiramanadna is firmly seated in Rudrananda’s corner so Abhiramanada can easily issue a punishment posting to any Wt for any reason. That is why that despite the fact that morale is so low still Wts are mostly keeping silent.

Solution: In ideal circumstances, the SS Dada will strictly adhere to Baba’s following conduct rule.

Wt conduct rule: “Supervisory workers will have to take proper care of each of their supervised stuff in all respects.” (1)

When the above rule is in vogue then there is no question of low worker morale. Every Wt will feel cared for and valued, and steps will be in place to ensure all Wts are progressing on the path and not falling away from their dharma sadhana etc.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/

Dhruva’s take

8. Dhruva (Clark Forden) remains a key cog in the H group machinery and while Dhruva himself could never gain a career he has become a professional stooge of H group and that pays handsomely, both in terms of prestige and financially. Dhruva’s main duty is to act as a quasi legal advisor which means that Abhiramananda and SOS Diiptimanananda travel down from NYC to WDC each month to strategize about money-making endeavours. Dhruva is like a stock broker - no matter what happens with any particular deal he takes a cut. So Dhruva always takes something to the bank for his own gain and he could not be happier, just like any leech.

Solution: In ideal circumstances, positions of leadership in AMPS will be given on the basis of one’s dharmic qualities and not based on how much of a stooge they are.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “The responsibility for leading society can only be entrusted to the sadvipras because they are well established in Yama and Niyama – they are imbued with Cosmic ideation.” (2)

About Rudrananda’s medical leave

9. Rudrananda flew to NY alone from India. When in India he keeps some security detail with him but when he travels overseas he tends to go by himself rather than with a big entourage. Being Rudrananda means trusting no one - so when he can he goes alone.

10. Top of all Rudrananda is extremely please with his current status. Since last October he has been on “medical leave.” In most circumstances being on “medical leave” means being on bed rest or checking into a hospital or medical clinic etc. But for Rudrananda, “medical leave” means freedom. Now he can go where he likes and nobody can blame him for not having a post. Rudrananda gave away his post to his top stooge Mantrajapananda, while he (Rudrananda) just travels the various sectors of the globe. Rudrananda has filled all the top spots with his hand-picked stooges so he can relax and control things without holding any post. So for Rudrananda, “medical leave” is just one alibi, nothing more.

11. So now Rudrananda has gone to NY for their summer retreat. In the past, there was a discussion over who would be the central representative at the various overseas sectorial retreats. But that process is also gone and as this entire Ranchi administration is Rudrananda’s toy, he just decides everything - where he would like to be and when he would like to be there.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/

How Mantrajapananda climbed the ladder

12. All in all, Rudrananda will remain there in NY for around one month total from start to finish. Then he will fly to Europe for the summer retreat in Berlin sector at Madhu Karuna. There he will meet up with his top stooge Mantrajapananda who is arriving from Manila sector. Though there remains the possibility that Mantrajapananda will first go to NY sector in which case they could travel together to Berlin sector. These days the two of them are very close since Mantrajapananda has sold maximum AMPS properties etc in the Philippines and thereby funded Rudrananda’s personal palace in Varanasi.

Solution: In ideal circumstances the leaders in our AMPS will be great moralists and sadvipras. Sadly, Rudrananda keeps only debased and depraved persons like Mantrajapananda in the post so he (Rudrananda) can control him. The day is not far when Sixteen Points will be the measuring rod and only dharmikas will occupy the top posts. Then when those top Dadas visit a sector there will be a positive impact, devoid of any self-interest.

13. Last but not least, Savitananda has also taken the opportunity to go to NY - for the sole motive of gathering donations. When he reaches 20,000USD then he will turn around and go back.

Solution: In ideal circumstances, only Dadas with an approved tour program will visit an outside sector. And their aim will not be greedy, personal fundraising for their own private bank account, but rather the welfare and all-round development of the sector.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/

Solutions: moving forward

Seeing the state of affairs in our AMPS, things might seem quite unsightly. However there are some very practical steps that can be taken to right our ship.

(A) First and foremost the tantric path of Ananda Marga is a man-making mission. Every Ananda Margii, whether they be family person or a Wt, should be held strictly accountable for adhering to Sixteen Points. This will greatly benefit every sadhaka and the entire climate of the organisation.

(B) Circumstantial pressure should be applied to those in power who fail to abide by the conduct rules. That means financial donations should absolutely be withheld. Do not give money to any Wt or family margii if they are of bad character or irresponsible in financial dealings etc. Silent action and other measures can also be taken.

(C) There should be strict vigilance that no organisational properties are sold - not for any reason. Rather than allowing top Wts to sell AMPS properties to fill their personal bank accounts, we should aim to do more and more pracara and fill those properties with sadhakas, LFTs, LPTs, and new Ananda Margiis etc. That is the best way to protect land holdings and simultaneously build up our Marga.

(D) Remember, this is the transitional period and maximum people are looking for a new way. If we exemplify the ideals of Ananda Marga as given by Sadguru Baba then those sincere seekers will take notice and flock to our doorstep. There will be a veritable renewal and revival in all the sectors due to our collective dharmic conduct and His grace.

Sadguru Baba says, “Remember, Ananda Marga is a man-making mission. Both quantity and quality are important. Everyone should be free to join Ananda Marga, to take part in social functions, etc., but only those established in Yama and Niyama may be given any position to work in society. Just to satisfy someone and compromise [with] sin is unthinkable. We can in no case ever compromise with injustice.” (3)

~ In-depth study ~

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Those who have the responsibility to show the path to others should be of superlative character with the most refined conduct. They and their followers must move constantly towards all-round development and shreya [ultimate spiritual attainment]. Persons who teach such well-regulated behaviour to others by their own conduct are called ácáryas.” (4)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “The characteristic of good people is to fight against injustice, to firmly adhere to truth and righteousness, to protect the helpless and fight against all evil persons. Those who are merely simple and are of a meek and goody-goody nature are not good people.” (5)

Ananda Marga ideology states,  "From the social or human viewpoint, everybody has the right to correct the behaviour of everyone else. This is the birthright of every human being. No scholar can dispute the right of people to correct the shortcomings of those with whom they come in contact. The recognition of this right is indispensable for the health of society. " (6)

Ask something vs nothing + 3 more

Baba

Ask something vs nothing

Namaskar,

In our Ananda Marga scriptures it is said: Bhakti is service to Parama Purusa. But if you want to serve someone you cannot do that from a distance. For instance, if you are sitting on the North Pole and you want to serve someone on the South Pole, then you must go to the South Pole. When in their physical proximity, then you can serve them. The same applies to spiritual life as well. One must go close to Him in order to serve Him. That is the essence of bhakti.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Communicating brings intimacy

And then when you are close to Him then the next step is to communicate with Him as well. Because how is it possible to truly serve someone if you are not communicating with them and understanding what they want. For instance, if you are physically close to someone then by speaking with them you can understand  better what they need: Such as if they need food, or water, or something else. In that case you can best serve them. And same is the case in the devotional sphere as well. By communicating with Parama Purusa one can better understand is His desire, by His grace. Communicating with Him brings greater feelings of closeness and intimacy.

So we have to acquire bhakti and bhakti is service to God; and, in order to serve Him, we have to go close to Him. And then comes the point of communicating with Him. And the way to do this is through sadhana. By repeating your mantra with deep yearnings or sharing your heart-felt feeling Him, one is verily communicating with Him. Thus there are various lessons in Ananda Marga sadhana by which to directly communicate with Him.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Parama Purusa listens & responds

At the outset, some new sadhakas may feel that this manner is mechanical or merely a one-way communication. Because, initially one may not feel that any response is coming and that one's requests are not being heard. This is the common way people think. But with continued, regular, and sincere practice in sadhana etc, one will experience how this style of communication is real and that Parama Purusa hears all that you are sharing and He gives a response too.

And that gives rise to warmer, more tender, and more loving feelings towards Him. These are some of the various stages. And when that closeness reaches a certain threshold, then bhaktas may ask something of Parama Purusa also. When the mind is not developed then people ask for mundane objects etc. And when one is a properly developed in the devotional plane, then they do not want anything from Him, but rather they want He Himself.

Top grade bhaktas ask for what

They request, "O' Parama Purusa, I do not want anything from You, only I want to hold You very close. I want You to be mine." This is the type of request that A-grade bhaktas make.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "An intelligent spiritual aspirant will say: “I do not want anything from you, I want you.”...“I do not want anything from You. Everything cometh from You, so You be mine.”" (1)

This type of request is not of a worldly nature because the bhakta is not asking for anything mundane or material. It is purely devotional longing that is being expressed. They want Him and that is the highest devotion.

We all know that in Ananda Sutram (3-11) Baba guides us not to ask for anything mundane from Parama Purusa. That means we should not ask for money, worldly things etc.

While in spiritual life we are to request Him for devotion. Every aspirant yearns for Him and must ask Parama Purusa for devotion. A true sadhaka has an internal longing to express their heart feeling with Him. And in that communication one requests the Lord for devotion: To have His proximity in a more intimate and loving way.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

To create personal connection

As every sadhaka knows, bhakti itself is based on the idea of creating a link with Parama Purusa. To create this personal connection, communication is needed. Because in the process of growing more close, one naturally desires to express their feeling by asking for His grace. That is the genuine expression that arises.

A similar thing happens in worldly life. One will certainly ask their friend to come over and talk when going through a difficult time in life. Or upon hearing great news, one will call their best friend and request them to stop what they are doing and come over so they can tell them all about it. Or in the case of a spouse, one will certainly talk about any problems and ask for their support and advice. This is quite natural. Likewise, a baby will always reach out to mama and place their requests - whether it be for food, love, or attention.

So in all social relationships where there is a strong bond of love, one will always make a request and ask for help and support. That is the inherent quality of love. By that way, the relationship deepens and grows. In contrast, if there is a neighbor down the street with whom you feel distant, you will never ask for a deeper loving connection from that neighbor. Thus, this desire to ask to be more close is a special characteristic of feeling intimate with someone.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Loving relationship: bhakta & Parama Purusa

Devotional life is no different. There is love - there is yearning - and there is an inherent desire to be more close. And the way to satisfy that desire of closeness is to request the Lord to grant me more and more devotion.

Indeed, the entire platform of Prabhat Samgiita is based on this loving relationship between bhakta and Parama Purusa, wherein the bhakta asks Parama Purusa to come more close. The bhakta wants to express to Parama Purusa his inner heart feeling. This is the natural internal urge that arises in love with Parama Purusa.

Rather, we are to open our heart to Parama Purusa and request His grace and love. This can occur either in dhyana or at any time during the day or night. The only prerequisite is that the request be sincere.

If one is not feeling love for Parama Purusa - if one is not feeling close - then that person will have no desire to request bhakti from Baba. In their ignorance, they will feel content with their petty material gains etc.

But bhaktas are intelligent. Every bhakta understands that they are to ask Parama Purusa to bless them with devotion. They say, "O' Lord please grace me, please fill me heart with bhakti so my sadhana will be better."

Engaged with Parama Purusa in good times & bad

The following is an English summary of Baba’s below Hindi teaching:
Think about Him-- that Parama Purusa is mine-- I belong to Parama Purusa. Parama Purusa is with me. At any cost I am not alone. In my happiness He is with me and He is also with me in my sorrow. If I call Him in my pain and do not call Him in my pleasure and joy, that will not do. Just as I call Him in times of sorrow similarly I will call Him in times of happiness. In my state of sorrow I tell Him, O Lord, I am in misery. Please come and remove my sorrow and pain. Likewise in times of happiness I will request Him, O Parama Purusa I am ensconced in a wonderful feeling of happiness, please come and enjoy that sweetness with me. You should call Him always-- both in moments of sorrow as well as in times of joy and happiness. (English summary)
Please find a word for word transcription from Baba's original discourse below:

Conclusion

All should aim for this type of bhakti and that is the key theme of this letter. Because by this way Every sadhaka understands that the most important and cherished ideal is their personal relationship with Parama Purusa. This is the top phase of devotional life.

While there are many important aspects to creating a more intimate relation with Parama Purusa, this letter focuses on only one: the idea of asking Parama Purusa for devotion.

Namaskar,
In Him,
Ananda

You are are here before me today

"Tumi je esecho álo sáthe enecho, sabár maner kálo dúr karecho..." (Prabhat Samgiita #2201)

Purport:

O' Parama Purusa, You have come to me with grand, divine refulgence. By Your august presence, all are in spiritual bliss and their blackness has been removed from the mind. You have wiped away the staticity and cimmerian darkness from all existence. Now people have become neo-humanists, leaving behind their narrow and group sentiments. O’ Supreme Entity, You never give credence to desha’ca’r or loka’ca’r and never pay heed to worldly protocol and or the traditions of reception. Overlooking those things, You have come to me and showered Your grace. Baba, You love all - good and bad, sinners and sadhus - equally.

O' Parama Purusa, in the vast, infinite spiritual sky You are that single, shining star that attracts every person. O’ the Cosmic Nucleus of this entire creation You are that singular and unparalleled Entity. The entire creation dances around You in Your sublime rhythm. The ekta'ra' (one-string instrument) of each person's mind is being played to fully satisfy and satiate You. Baba, You have filled each-one’s mind and heart with hope.

O' Parama Purusa, please come closer and closer in new and newer form, colour, and adornments. O' Nutan, the ever-new, You have given a voice to those who are helpless and dumb - unable to speak and incapable of protesting or fighting against exploitation - and have given everybody the right to sing and chant the glories of the Supreme Entity, which they did not have in the past. You have blessed one and all.

Baba, O' Parama Purusa, Your greatness and magnanimity are beyond all imagination. Please remain eternally in my heart...

Note for Prabhat Samgiita #2201

[1] Desha'ca'r & Loka'ca'r: The particular traditions of an area, country, or land are known as: desha'ca'r; and the popular and commonly followed customs of the people are known as: loka'ca'r. As we have all seen, in various countries and places there are so many social norms and rules which govern the social life. Some of those codes are just and some are exploitative. For example in some areas, the so-called low caste, the females, and the people of colour do not have the right or privilege to go to the temple, or learn meditation, etc. They are forced to live as second-class citizens and denied the opportunity to participate in spiritual practices. All these various customs and traditions fall within the dual categories of desha'ca'r and loka'ca'r. But Parama Purusa never pays heed to such things. He never cares about those dogmatic codes and rules. By the loving heart of the bhaktas, He gets pulled towards them. In that way He comes in the abode of the bhakta.

Remedy from unconscious mind

Ananda Marga ideology states, “The remedies for illnesses or answers to questions that a person receives at the shrine of different gods and goddesses is not due to the greatness of those gods and goddesses. As a result of sincere longing a state of one-pointedness arises in the mind and if, at that time, that person falls into deep sleep because of physical tiredness then the answers to his or her questions may descend from the unconscious mind into the subconscious mind. There the person receives the answers to his or her questions about illness or other questions according to his or her mental conceptions and beliefs. The person thinks that he or she has perhaps received these answers due to the grace of such-and-such god or goddess. Actually, thanks to the grace of the Supreme Consciousness, his or her unconscious mind is the hidden repository of infinite knowledge. Due to one-pointedness, the person has been able to temporarily submerge part of his mind within the boundaries of that profound knowledge.” (1)

Our main dogma + 3 more

Baba

Our main dogma

Namaskar,

Alhwaz Dewan Farid Gazi died at the age of 85 and his mahaprayan was observed per our Islamic tradition. Mahaprayan ceremonies and observances have been part of our Muslim / Islamic faith for more than a thousand years. We bury our dead and erect a tomb and regularly worship the tomb on the anniversary of the death.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

As you can see below, the last word of the main heading is highlighted in orange, and that word is the term mahaprayan in Bangla script. We Islamic believers bury our deceased and then perform yearly tomb worship / mahaprayan on the anniversary of their death. Specifically, the below article announces the annual death day occasion of the legendary Muslim Alhwaz Dewan Farid Gazi’s. If you want to see the entire article see the link below the Bangla script.

As you can see below is the article and photo of the mahaprayan of our legendary Islamic leader Alhwaz Dewan Farid Gazi. The last word of the main heading is highlighted in orange, and that word is the term mahaprayan in Bangla script.

Note: If you reach to the second image you will see how tomb worship (i.e. mahaprayan ceremony) is done by our Islamic believers where they, our Muslim brothers and sisters, are asking for boons from the deceased etc.

Below is the photo of tomb worship i.e. mahaprayan celebration performed by our Islamic believers. Our Islamic brothers and sisters are asking for boons from the deceased in the tomb. A similar type of tomb worship we see in our Tiljala also.

If you see below, you will notice that the tomb is covered by our Islamic holy color green, and there are five worshipers surrounding the tomb. In the lower right corner, there is a person’s hands showing that he is doing puja. Then in the back center there is a worshiper in a yellow sweater leaning over the tomb to perform his ritual. Behind him in a blue shirt is a person waiting in line to do the same. The fourth person (white cap) is bowing down before the tomb in hopes of getting a boon from the deceased in the tomb. And the fifth person along the left side of the photo is throwing the red flowers onto the deceased inside the tomb. You can see the nose of the person along with their right arm as it swiftly swings across to toss more flowers.

About my family & Islamic mahaprayan

Since I joined Ananda Marga I no longer participate in our Muslim tradition of mahaprayan / tomb worship as I used to do. But my family members, who could not become Ananda Margiis, do participate in this thousand-year-old Islamic tradition of Mahaprayan, i.e. tomb worship. They ask for boons from the deceased who is inside the tomb.

Obstacles on the path of dharma have been removed....

“Samvit eseche áro káche, taruńa aruń hese svágata jánáy…” (Prabhat Samgiita #4347)

Purport:

Today, Parama Purusa has come and the dawn is smiling in an exuberant manner to receive Him. By His brilliant presence and arrival, everything has been transformed - individual and collective life, as well as the entire society. My existence has been illumined with samvit; it is His grace. In the past I was drowned in materialism but now my mind has been blessed and inundated with spiritual refulgence. I am no longer wasting my time. Alas, awakening has come. The fog engulfing humanity has vanished. All the flowers have started blossoming. The obstacles on the path of dharma have been removed, and those anti-social elements and demons have disappeared. The trail has been cleared and everyone is dancing in happiness and joy - overflowing with bliss.

The stain and gunk of materialistic theories and dogma that accumulated for ages and ages have been wiped away. Due to His august presence, all the mire is gone. Everything is filled with bhakti. In the flower garland the bumblebee is buzzing in jubilation. The blossom is filled with the divine nectar. The delight of receiving and giving affection has become one. Now there is no more counting the days in hopes of getting Him. My dearmost Baba is here before us. That Ajana Pathik is calling one and all with supreme affection.

The fragrance of the belá, juthi, and bakul flowers is floating and emanating spreading around. Every human heart has been filled with ánandam. The facade of worldly attraction and the mirage of mundane allurement have disappeared - forever lost and gone. O’ human beings walk out onto your balcony and listen to the humming of humanity and experience the era of neo-humanism...

Mystery solved: Who were those asuras

Namaskar,

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “In the Vedic era, the Aryans used to steal food grains and animals from the non-Aryans to perform their sacrifices and rituals (yajinas). In retaliation, groups of non-Aryans used to attack the Aryans to recover their possessions while they were performing their rituals. These attacks were grossly distorted in the Vedas, which gives the impression that the Aryans were good while the non-Aryans were evil. In fact, the non-Aryans were forced to attack the Aryans to recover their food to ensure their survival. Did the non-Aryans do anything bad? No, they did the right thing." (1)

In India, even today, the common public has been indoctrinated into the dogma that evil asuras were destroying the religious rituals and yajinas of aryans. They think that asuras are some type of nasty creatures that have very long teeth, dangerous claws like lions, horns on their head, and a very terrible face. That is how it is propagated in Indian mythology.

So Baba's above teaching is eye-opening. The truth about the aryans and non-aryans (i.e. the indigenous people of India) is a previously unknown aspect of history. No one was aware about this. Genealogy studies have since come to know that the so-called highest caste of Indians came from central Asia. When those aryans entered into India they treated the indigenous population as demons and created all kinds of stories and myths about them. So many false things were propagated.

Looting the food for their rituals (yajinas)

Verily those aryans created an entire mythology about such so-called asuras. The aryans claimed that demons were coming and ruining their ritualistic offerings and sacrifices of food and animals etc. But now the truth has been revealed. Those war-like aryans were looting the food of the native population and throwing that food in their sacrificial fires. In turn, the indigenous people were protesting and fighting back.

So actually, the so-called asuras were none other than the indigenous people of India. They were the original inhabitants of India, living here prior to the invasion of the aryans. Still nowadays, however they are condemned as so-called, low-caste creatures, by so-called upper-caste people. These asuras are treated unjustly and known as harijans which are regarded by upper caste people as despicable and low. But actually, these are the indigenous people of India.

Dummy purodhas exploit the masses

It is very important to accurately depict history and keep records that properly portray what transpired. Bad people always try to distort history and befool the future generations. But the truth invariably comes to the surface.

This same type of drama has unfolded in AMPS as well. Hypocrites and cheats are projecting themselves as divine; such immoralist purodhas present themselves as demigods as they exploit the mass of common margiis. Now is the crucial period - a proper historical record must be made. If we are not careful, our grand-grandsons and daughters and all future generations will be taught false things and indoctrinated into the narrow agenda of the various groups.

in Him,
Bhaktideva

Degraded Didis

Baba

Degraded Didis

Note: This letter is only for those who have reverence for Sadguru Baba Shrii Shrii Anandamurti ji and try to follow His Ananda Marga ideology.

Namaskar,

Sadguru Baba has given all the ingredients for caring for each and every individual - young and old - and building up a well-knit society. And He has created the Wt cadre to serve humanity and look upon the entire world as their own. Our Wts do not have any unit family; only they have to serve all - everybody, the entire population.

List of sins of some didis

  • Sin #1: Sadguru Baba has given the system that our children’s homes are to be gender separated. Dadas are to run homes for boys and Didis are to run homes for girls. They are designed to be single-sex institutions. But Wt Didis are 100% contravening Baba’s system and tearing down the structure of our children’s homes by making them co-ed as those Didis are keen to keep boys. Because Didis think those boys will earn money, and protect and care for them when they are elderly.
  • Sin #2: A true Wt sannyasi is to look upon all of creation as the expression of Parama Purusa. They are to embrace this cosmic outlook. But this is completely lost when they adopt a home boy. Because those Didis invariably give preferential treatment to their chosen, adopted boy. They boy is treated as king and all the home girls are regarded as servants as they do all the chores (cooking, sweeping, washing, cleaning etc) and make life comfortable for the boy. Didi wants to ensure the boy remains with her so he is given a royal status. This scene plays into the Indian dogma that boys are stately and girls are less.
  • Sin #3: The situation has become so extreme within the ranks of our Wt cadre that Didis who do not adopt a home boy are mocked and disparaged for not being modern. Everything has become upside-down. Right has become wrong, and wrong has become right. The true way to live as a sannyasi is to look upon the entire humanity with equanimity, yet now within WWD those Didis who follow the system and do not adopt a home boy are ridiculed and made to feel that they are  outdated and stale.

Debauched Dada is called “papa”
  • Sin #4: Wt Didis are sannyasis. But when they adopt a home boy they take on the mundane role of step-mother. But it does not end there. Most often those same Didis are boyfriends who are Dadas. In that case Didi is the step-mother and debauched Dada is called “papa” by the home boy. By this way, those debauched Wts get their animal vrttis satisfied and spoil the integrity of our Wt system.
It is of utmost importance to bear in mind that we are not talking about members of the general public but sannyasis of the tantric order of Ananda Marga. That is why this situation of Didis adopting home boys is so bad. Those Wts Didis are expected to be an ideal example and not fall prey to all kinds of lowly, selfish tendencies. They are supposed to be above debased tendencies and the social ills of the day. That is why to see Wt Didis treat home girls as mere servants is utterly disgraceful and a black mark on our entire Wts cadre.

You would fire the person

Consider for a moment that you are the general supervisor of a foster care home for girls. And you discover that your assistant is breaking the rules by admitting boys into the foster home and giving preferential treatment to those boys, all the while neglecting the girls. When all this is brought to light, then as the general supervisor of the home you will have no option but to fire that assistant.

And verily that is the case with our Wt Didis. They are blatantly contravening Guru’s system by adopting home boys, creating a co-ed children’s home, and giving regal status to the boy prince. Given the above analogy, there is only one option. That didi must wholly mend her ways or face dismissal.

Conclusion

Baba has given the perfect system to heal humanity’s wounds and create a brilliant human society. But it will only work if His teachings and guidelines are followed. If Wts fail to adhere to their vow of renunciation and contravene their conduct rules by adopting home boys etc, then that spoils everything and creates a downward spiral. And sadly, that is what we are currently facing in our AMPS. Wt Didis are concerned with becoming worldly step-mothers than guiding the society as true sannyasis.

In Him,
Madhurii
(Mary McDermott)

Wrong things in AMPS books: distortion + 4 more

Baba

Wrong things in AMPS books: distortion

Namaskar,

Our Ananda Marga books are for bringing Baba's great ideals to the general society. That is one of the chief aims of our printed publications. So our books are not just for senior Ananda Margiis; entirely new people will also read them.

Unfortunately, in the glossary section of some of our publications, like the English editions of Ananda Vacanamrtam part 12 (2008) and part 14 (2011), the definitions of many words are not up to the mark. More specifically, the definitions supplied by the publishers fail to explain to readers the contextual meaning of the term in view of Ananda Marga ideals. And that can create a lot of confusion and misunderstanding. Let's take a look at a few cases.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

The term 'bhakti' means: 'love for God'

The term bhakti is one of the most important terms in Ananda Marga philosophy and one of the most prevalent as well. So understanding the contextual meaning of this word is quite integral for any reader. But in the glossary of Ananda Vacanamrtam 12, all it says in for the definition of “bhakti” is “devotion”. That is all that is listed - nothing else.

This definition of 'bhakti' is entirely lacking and even misleading because in the general society, the word “devotion” is commonly used in an entirely different manner from that in Ananda Marga teachings.

In Ananda Marga bhakti strictly means: 'love for God', 'longing for the Supreme', 'selfless service to God', etc, and is characterised by the shloka, Sa para'nuraktriishvare. Thus for us, bhakti is a highly spiritual term depicting one's intimate relation with God.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “Bhakti signifies longing for the Supreme – Sa paránuraktriishvare...God is an object for Paránurakti. When the aspirant considers the Supreme Brahma to be his or her own, it is termed Bhajaná or Bhakti.” (1)
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Baba: bhakti & devotion are not same

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “भक्ति किसको कहते हैं ? अंग्रेज़ी में 'devotion' कहते हैं भक्ति को, लेकिन devotion और भक्ति एक चीज़ नहीं है |” (भक्ति किसको कहते हैं ?, Bhakti Kisko Kahate Haiṋ ?, NP, EGD 3 February 1987 Bhagalpur) (2)

Here is an English summary of Baba’s above Hindi teaching: Devotion and bhakti are not the same.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “One may have attachment towards physical objects as well as towards Parama Puruśa. The attachment to physicality is called ásakti or viśayánurakti, while the deep attachment to Parama Puruśa is called paránurakti or bhakti.” (3)

Bhakti term has no English synonym

Baba has guided us how the term devotion is unable to convey the meaning and spirit of the term bhakti. So in all possible circumstances we should use the word bhakti instead. Here is more about this topic.
  • The term bhakt is derived from the root word “bhaj” which means yearning for the Supreme Entity
Ananda Marga states, “What is bhakti? The root word “bhaj” and the suffix “ktin” make the word “bhakti.” “Bhaj” means moving towards that Supreme Entity without any second thought. When all your sentiments, all your aspirations, move towards that Singular Entity without any second thought, then that psychic movement of yours if called “bhakti.”” (4)
  • The term devotion is related with devote. And in materialistic societies the term devote is used in all kinds of worldly situations. So the term devotion is not the proper equivalent of bhakti.
  • There are many instances where Baba has directed us that there are occasions where a single English term fails to properly convey the full meaning of a Samskrta term. For example the word initiation does not carry the meaning of the word diiksa; and incantation does not properly reflect the term mantra.
Here is more about the case of the glossary of Ananda Vacanamrtam - 12. In defining 'bhakti' as 'devotion', the glossary falls far short of the mark. Those in the Tiljala Publications Department must come forward to correct such errors. The aim is that Baba's books must be printed in the proper way.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Glossary AV-14: other mistakes as well

Now let's take a look at a few more terms. Because the term 'bhakti' is not the only poorly defined term in the glossary:

* RAMAYANA: In the Ananda Vacanamrtam - 14 glossary the Ramayana is defined as 'An epic poem of India. It is the story of King Rama, or Ramachandra'. But, this definition is also highly misleading, because one of the main teachings of Baba about the Ramayana is that it is a mythological story - i.e. it is not factual.

Baba says, "Now, many of you are aware of the fact that Ramchandra was not an historical figure, but a fictional one: he was an imaginary character." (5)

Yet the Ananda Vacanamrtam - 14 glossary does not define the Ramayana as being mythological etc. Rather it calls it 'an epic poem', just like that same glossary calls the Mahabharata 'an epic poem'. So both are epic poems, according to the glossary, as if both are the same. But there is a grand difference between the two: The Mahabharata is historical and the Ramayana is fictional. Yet the villagers and general public are not aware about this distinction. Baba has made this important distinction. But, our publications personnel failed to highlight Baba's unique distinction when defining the term 'Ramayana' in the Ananda Vacanamrtam - 14 glossary. Hence, the general public will remain highly confused on this point. They will think it is a true story about King Rama.

Furthermore, in Ananda Vacanamrtam - 10, the term SITA is only defined as 'Wife of Rama', and that further supports the false impression that Rama and Sita are real people from the history. Because details are being given from an authoritarian source as would be done in the case of a historical fact, yet the main ingredient is being left out: Namely that Rama and Sita are mythological characters. So this only exacerbates the problem.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

Conclusion

Other terms that are incorrectly defined or defined in a misleading manner in the Ananda Vacanamrtam series glossary are: asteya, bhajana, bhakta, Ganesha, kiirtana, kurma nadii, Sadguru, sadhu, sahasrara cakra, Sanskrit, Sita, tantra, etc. Baba has given the world a perfect library and we are to ensure that it is published properly.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "The books in Ananda Marga philosophy are all absolute knowledge." (6)

Namaskar,
In Him,
Anirvacaniiy

Baba rejects the term devotion in favour of the word bhakti, and He wants His discourses updated accordingly. That is what He has described in a general darshan at Bhagalpur DMC in 1987.

~ In-depth study ~

Devotion means love for cat

In the general society, a person may have devotion for their work, devotion for their spouse, devotion for their country, devotion for their friend, devotion for their diet, or even devotion for their pet dog or cat. That is the way the term devotion is commonly used on a daily basis in the general society, especially in the west. Whereas in Ananda Marga philosophy, none of those meanings apply.

In the general society, the term 'devotion' is used in all kinds of mundane affairs, yet that is the very term - and the only term - which the publishers have used to define 'bhakti' in the glossary of our Ananda Marga books. So the whole affair is a misplay or flub. Because 'devotion' is a widely used word in the general society. Hence already most readers have a preconceived notion of what the word means - yet that understanding is vastly different from Baba's use of the term, 'bhakti'. That is why it is the critical need for our Ananda Marga glossary to highlight our AM ideal when defining bhakti or any other term, and not just give a commonly used word that will invariably be misunderstood.

Here is another way of looking at the difference between bhakti and devotion. For example, you may have devotion towards your spouse or pet, but it would be a gross mistake to say that one has bhakti for their spouse or pet. Unfortunately in India, due to lack of knowledge, people misuse the term bhakti, and they created the word desh-bhakti, meaning patriotism. But that is preposterous. Because the term bhakti means service to God. The root itself is spiritual. That is why it is wrong to use bhakti in the context of one’s motherland. Whereas the term devotion has a different origin. It means commitment and has no spiritual foundation. That is why Baba rejects the term devotion in favour of the word bhakti, and He wants His discourses updated accordingly. That is what He has described in a general darshan at Bhagalpur DMC in 1987.

AV-10 Glossary pitfall: Sixteen Points term

* SIXTEEN POINTS: In the Ananda Vacanamrtam - 10 glossary, the term 'Sixteen Points' is defined as: 'The central pillar of Ananda Marga conduct rules: sixteen points of hygiene and conduct amid which are reiterated all other conduct rules.' Thus the glossary describes our Sixteen Points as being merely related with (a) hygiene and (b) conduct rules. Nothing else. When in fact, according to Baba, our Sixteen Points is so much more than that. It is related with all the spheres of life:

Sadguru Baba says, "...The complete seeds of welfare in all the spheres – physical, mental, moral, social and spiritual – are embedded in the sixteen points. Hence be firm on the sixteen points." (A'nanda Va'nii #45)

So the publisher's glossary definition in Ananda Vacanamrtam - 10 is misleading and incomplete. Such a deficient definition does a disservice to what Sixteen Points truly is. And any new person reading that glossary definition will think that our Sixteen Points only touches on a few things and is wholly absent of spiritual practice etc. Because the lackluster definition of the term written by those publishers in the glossary leads in that false direction.

We have to remember that 'Sixteen Points' is totally unique to Ananda Marga. No one outside the Marga will have any idea what it is. So naturally they will refer to the glossary to find out about this term. And sadly, the definition they will get there will be very poor and will not properly reflect the real dynamism of AM life.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

AV-14 Glossary blunder: Upanishad term

* UPANISHAD: In the Ananda Vacanamrtam - 14 glossary this term is defined as, “Literally, 'that which brings one near'; certain philosophical teachings of the Vedas.”

But here again that definition provided by the publishers is incomplete and ambiguous. Surely, one need not write the entire Upanishad scripture in the glossary, but at the very least the glossary definition should describe what the Upanishad takes one near to.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "That which takes human beings to Parama Purus'a is called upanis'ad." (7)

So the meaning of Upanishad is that which takes one near God. That is what Baba clearly tells us. Yet the glossary in AV 9-10 fails to state that. The incomplete definition given by the publishers merely says, 'near' without defining what it is near to. Hence readers in this grossly materialistic era may think that the Upanishads take one near to a financial institution, or near to the Olympics, or near to one's friend, or near to the stock market, or near to McDonald's, etc. Thus this definition also needs to be corrected in order to reflect our Ananda Marga standard.

That is the literal meaning of the Upanishads and the practical meaning refers to those ancient scriptures that document the realisation of elevated sages. There are so many books of the main 108 Upanishads.
https://anandamargauniversal.blogspot.com/

The need of a glossary

To help the public and newly initiated people understand Baba's ideas, a glossary section has been added to many of our publications. This glossary - written by the publishers - is intended to bridge the gap of knowledge: Clarifying points which the public may not know about our Ananda Marga terminology. That way readers can garner a clearer understanding when going through our Ananda Marga literature.

English fails

Ananda Marga ideology states, “We have no proper word for diikśá in English or any other language, we have no alternative but to use the word “initiation” for diikśá. The actual Sanskrit word for the English term “initiation” is abhiśeka, not diikśá.” (8)

Ananda Marga ideology states, “What is incantation? “Incantation” is a Latin term. It means “repeating a particular word”...But the Sanskrit term for incantation is mantra. The rudimental meanings of “incantation” and [mantra are not the same]. Mananát tárayet yastu sah mantrah parikiirttitah – “The sanctified word that helps one in attaining salvation [is a mantra].” So they are not the same, but because of the fact that there is no proper Latin term for mantra, I find no alternative but to use the word “incantation” for mantra.” (9)

It is impossible to forget You

"Práńer pradiip saunge niye, ke go ele ei dharáytomáy, bhulate náhi párá jáy..." (Prabhat Samgiita #2205)

Purport:

Who are You who has taken advent on this earth, with the effulgence of infinite love and affection, carrying the lamp of warmth and compassion and has completely captivated my mind; now I cannot think of anything else. O' Supreme One; it is impossible to forget You. Because of Your august arrival, with each and every expression, in every rhythm, You are exuding beauty and sweetness in all directions - everywhere. I can’t stop thinking of You.

By Your melodious voice and heartfelt attraction, with love You are drawing everyone near You by Your mamata', feeling all as Your own. You are vibrating in Your glory yet remaining hidden in the deep core of my mind – always. I ever remember You.

O' my Innermost, at some unknown time in the past You came and poured forth the pot of love, saturated and showered Your incomparable grace, and created a big stir - a revolution - in the world of ideas and thinking. And after that You hid Yourself from this world and were not visible to the crude eye. You came as Mahasambhuti and now You are ever-present with everyone as Taraka Brahma in their heart and mind.

Baba, You are love personified how can I forget You...

Note for Prabhat Samgiita #2205:

[1] Mamata': Mineness; In Sanskrit “mama” = mine, and the suffix ta’ = -ness; hence “mineness.” To have equal or more love for something / someone than one has for oneself.

Ananda Marga ideology says, "What is the meaning of “mamatá”? Mama + tá = mamatá. Mama means “mine” and thus mamatá is the inner idea of being mine, the feeling that something is my own." (1)

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "“Mamatá” means “mine-ness” – “Mama” means “one's own”, and the abstract noun derived from it is “mamatá” – meaning, thereby “mine-ness.”" (2)

For example, suppose you are suffering from a fever then naturally you will be concerned about your own health. You will try to cure yourself by going to the doctor and taking medicine etc. If you have mamata for someone else, then if they are sick with a fever you will have the same degree of care for their condition as your own. When one does sadhana then this sense of mamata grows and one ultimately has the feeling of mamata towards the entire created universe. Without sadhana, one’s sense of mamata will be extremely limited whereby one might only care about their own individual existence. So when the mind is extremely narrow one only has mamata for oneself. Those with a slightly broader mind have mamata towards their parents and family members. And as the circumference of mind expands one has mamata for other relatives and community members etc. However, it is only with sadhana that the periphery of mind can grow further and further wherein one’s sense of mamata includes all beings and expressions of this cosmos. Parama Purusa has mamata’ for each and every entity - this entire creation, all living and non-living expressions.

Way to omniscience for humans

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “On the practical level, what happens is that the unconscious mind is all-pervading, integral and immeasurably vast. Through spiritual practices the riches of the unconscious mind are brought down into the subconscious mind. The spiritual aspirant then understands everything; he discovers the secret signs of knowledge. Then, according to his or her needs, he or she is able to bring this acquired wealth of the subconscious mind into the conscious mind and use it in the external world.”
“How much can book knowledge help a person! It goes in one ear and out the other. If, by means of sádhaná [spiritual practices], a person can bring into the subconscious mind the boundless knowledge that resides in the unconscious mind, then that becomes transformed into lasting riches which then are, or can be, employed extensively for the welfare of humanity.” (1)
