Who is this John Doe of Mumbai?

BABA

Who is this John Doe of Mumbai?

Namaskar,

This interesting letter was swirling around. When I came across it, I was curious to know who is this ‘John Doe of Mumbai' ? I inquired, but could not get a proper answer. So with the same interest I am asking you; if you know who ‘John Doe of Mumbai' is, please let us know. Many thanks in advance.

Namaskar,
In Him,
Virendra

---------------

Namaskar

One "great margii" John Doe (Law profession in Mumbai) does not follow 16 points. He does not donate 2% of his salary every month. He does not donate any WT regularly on monthly basis. Whenever some WT arrives his home and insists, then he donates something. He does not attend Dharma Cakra on Sundays.  It is unknown whether he is regular in Ekadashi or not. He mostly does not attend Akhanda kirtan in Mumbai. He attends kirtan sometimes only at ultra-rich margi house, because he thinks he is a high level man and hence he should attend kirtan sometimes only at ultra-rich house. He does not perform Tandava kaushiki, Asanas. He does not follow OATH, because he intentionally uses harsh words to margis and local WTs. His behavior is very bad. Most of the margis are afraid of him due to his nonsense behavior.

If any programme, function, happens, he wants that WT & margis should invite him on stage and regards him with flowers, etc, then he would attend the programme. Otherwise he will not attend AM programs. His intention is that organizer should arrange for his speech.

He wants to control and dictate entire local Anandamarga units. If some units do not allow him to control, then he would criticize / torture those units to a great extent. For example – he criticizes DSL didi (Sakinaka) , DS dada (Ranchi AMPS), DTS Thane, Masterunit dada, DLO dada, Rupatiitananda dada, etc.

John Doe has misguided the main Mumbai donor xyz and stopped all donations to WTs (Karunananda, Rupatiitananda, Susmitananda, etc) and convinced the prime donor xyz to divert all his donations to his personal school property running at xxpur in the name of AM. This school has nothing to do with AMPS. John Doe and his In-laws are not paying any Royalty to AMPS as well.

John Doe had snatched Mumbai AM school land (Ranchi AMPS) registry papers and “Fixed Deposit” certificates (approx. Rs 75 000). In spite of WTs repeated requests, John Doe has not handed over the papers to them for last 10 years. The only reason, he wants to control and dictate local units. It is a height of cruelty.

Earlier John Doe was praising Rupatiitananda dada. But for last few months, John Doe has been humiliating, condemning, insulting Rupatiitananda dada and his team to a great extent. Reason – Rupatiitananda dada refused to get controlled by John Doe. Hence John Doe got infuriated. Rupatiitananda dada was receiving monetary help from xyz. But John Doe misguided xyz and stopped donations. Now Rupatiitananda dada & his team have been suffering a lot financially. But dada’s spirit is high and decided that Baba would take care of them.

John Doe has been asking Rupatiitananda dada to include two margis of his choice in to the “Ananda Parivar Trust” so that he can control / dictate the day to day activities of Trust. Shelu (Mumbai) ashram land was not registered in the name of AMPS. Because, Ranchi AMPS was selling AM properties. Hence it was registered in the name of “Ananda Parivar Trust”. In this trust, four WTs are there – Rupatiitananda (73), Niteshananda (76), Shantananda (82) and Artapremananda (68).  In the registry, they have mentioned that after their death, this property will go back to AMPS. Even then, John Doe wants to control and insisting to include two margis name in the Trust. Though John Doe does not donate monthly to Rupatiitananda dada, but he wants details of his expenses. As per Anandamarga Workers rule (given by Baba), WTs have to submit expenses details only to their higher authority. But John Doe does not believe in Baba’s system. He wants to dictate his own system.

Brother YYY Singh is the maternal uncle of his (John Doe's) wife.  Now YYY has been running two healthy AM schools in India and registered these schools in his own trust name, not in the name of AMPS. He has made John Doe Trust member. They have not been paying any “Royalty” to AMPS. Entire profits are going to his trust. A few months back, John Doe requested Rupatiitananda dada to visit xx Pur Ananda Marga School and instructed him not to ask any TA from School. However after visit, John Doe’s father in law contributed TA to Rupatiitananda dada which dada refused to accept. John Doe’s father in law informed him that they are not happy with attitude of John Doe as he called on phone and instructed not to give TA to Rupatiitananda dada. This incident caused a lot of pain to Rupatiitanand dada. He has immensely got hurt due to such attitude of John Doe.

In the beginning, John Doe has done some good work. He arranged some NHE lectures in Government schools Colleges. However, he never takes name of Anandamarga during lectures. He has "Vanity" that he delivers good lectures.

Due to lectures he delivered in colleges he expects that in AMPS also margis should invite him on stage and arrange his lecture during Seminar, RAWA, Conventions, Schools yearly functions, etc. He is now running after "Name and Fame" in AMPS and wants to control local AMPS units. Those units who do not want to get controlled by John Doe, he criticizes and tortures those units to a great extent. And he asks donors (xyz) to stop donation to those units.

John Doe - He never raised voice for Ideological issues. He never protested against dogmatic Mahaprayan observation. Instead he supports Kolkata group’s Mahaprayan observation. He never protested against distortion being done in Baba discourses against Kolkata AM publications. He never raised voice against fake Ananda vaniis and fake Bhukti Pradhan Manual, etc, because he has nothing to do with ideological issues. He wants only name and fame in AMPS and wants to control all local AMPS units.

Brotherly Yours,
Aditya

Baba says,

Abhimánaḿ surápánaḿ
Gaoravaḿ raoravaḿ dhruvam;
Pratiśt́há shúkariiviśt́há
Trayaḿ tyaktvá Hariḿ bhajet.

[Abhimána is like surápána, gaorava leads to raorava, and pratiśt́há is like shúkariiviśt́há: an inflated ego is like drinking wine, self-aggrandizement leads one into the deepest hell, and social status is like the excrement of a pig. Give up all three of these and only sing the glories of the Lord.]

"Abhimána is no better than drinking wine. Gaorava is truly like raorava hell. (The highest loka is Satyaloka and the lowest loka is raorava. One who suffers from a superiority complex is converted into stone – he or she will be crudified to this extent. This is the result of the feeling of a superiority complex.) And pratiśt́há is like shúkariiviśt́há. [pig feces]

.. “I will be at the pinnacle of society and people will respect me” – this sense is like [a desire for] shúkariiviśt́há [pig feces].

So give up these three mental ailments – abhimána, gaorava and pratiśt́há – and then engage yourself in contemplation on Hari."

- Ananda Vacanamrtam - 23, The Dialogues of Shiva and Párvatii – 3

Those who are suffering from vanity or ego

Those who are suffering from vanity or ego, want to establish themselves for ever in this transitory world. They should know that in the past, so many kings, monarchs, dictators, and other misguided people tried to do the same thing i.e. glorify their image forever. But they utterly failed, and their entire efforts got destroyed, and their ego is lying in the dust, in the garbage bin of history, leaving a black stain on this earth. So, O egoistic human beings, go softly and follow the path of dharma. And remember-- only Parama Purusa is eternal, none else.

“Merge” dogma + 3 more

Baba

“Merge” dogma

Note: This letter is only for those who have reverence for Sadguru Baba and try to learn and follow His Ananda Marga ideology.

Namaskar,
One of our main duties as Ananda Margiis is to maintain and present Baba’s teaching in an untainted manner to the world and future generations. That means Baba’s books and discourses should be clearly and purposefully noted. Side by side, we should also ensure dogmatic words, phrases, and teachings are not propagated in the name of Baba. That is important.

At present, there is one dogmatic, infamous line that is wrongly propagated in name of Baba. Here is that quote:

“I am not this physical body, this physical body is not me. If you want to know me, work for my mission, because I have merged myself with my mission.”

As we know, all of Baba’s statements and teachings are logical and rational. If the above line is truly Baba’s guideline then it should stand up to the test of reason and rationality. Let’s evaluate this above “quote” in the context of Ananda Marga ideology.

As every sadhaka knows, Parama Purusa is infinite.

Anand Marga Caryacarya states, “The one formless, beginningless and infinite Parama Brahma (Supreme Consciousness) is the only entity to be attained by living beings – That alone is Jagat Guru (the Supreme preceptor), That alone has revealed Brahmavidyá (intuitional science) to us through the medium of the name and form of Anandamúrtijii. Unit beings must be made to appreciate Its majesty.” (1)

Delirium: infinite entity – merged into finite mission

Yet, look what the bogus quote proclaims:

FARCICAL QUOTE: "If you want to know me, work for my mission, because I have merged myself with my mission."

This part of the quote proclaims that the Cosmic Entity has merged Himself into yet another lesser entity – the thing which He has created, i.e. mission.

Here we have to remember that all beings emanate from the Cosmic Entity Parama Purusa. He is the only thing who is anadi (beginningless), ananta (endless), and infinite. There is nothing greater or bigger than Parama Purusa. It is unthinkable for that infinite, Divine Parama Purusa to wholly merge into something mundane, i.e. mission. This is a logical impossibility that the Cosmic Entity is merging into something else which has been created by Him. Parama Purusa is anadi, ananta, and infinite. He has no boundaries. In contrast, mission has boundaries and is limited. So how can Parama Purusa – the infinite Entity – merge into that which is finite, i.e. mission.

Mission has particular boundaries — not infinite

Or we can think of it this way. If Parama Purusa Baba merged Himself in the mission then outside of the mission there is no Parama Purusa. His mission itself is something very specific and limited – it does not encompass the entire vastness of creation and the unexpressed universe. The scope of mission is contained within particular boundaries. So, if the infinite Parama Purusa merged Himself into that limited mission, then who is to Lord over the rest of creation that is not included within the limited confines of the mission. This unsubstantiated quote asserts that outside of the mission there is no Parama Purusa.

Yet we know that Parama Purusa is that infinite Entity Who is omnipresent. He is everywhere – He is not just relegated to being inside the boundary walls of the mission. It is a completely illogical and absurd notion to proclaim that Parama Purusa merged in the mission.

Goes 100% against Ananda Marga ideology

Here again we can think: Parama Purusa is the Supreme Nucleus and all the jiivas are ultimately merging into Him. He is Divine, and He is infinite. So when He is that Universal Entity and the final abode of all unit beings, then how is He going to merge into something else that is smaller which He Himself has created, i.e. mission. Parama Purusa is infinite so how can He merge in that which is finite (mission). This is a completely illogical and ridiculous notion that goes 100% against Ananda Marga ideological teachings on brahmacakra, i.e. the cycle of creation. Brahma is the Ultimate Entity and does not merge into something else. Creator does not merge into adarsha; rather, Creator is the maker of adarsha.

All Ananda Margiis are open-minded because of sincere sadhana practices. Those attached with this so-called quote, and continue to attribute it to Baba, have a closed mind. Their sense of rationality has faded away – that is why they cannot understand, unfortunately. Or perhaps they have a dogmatic interest. Whatever may be, for all rational Ananda Margiis, the entire matter is crystal-clear and undeniable. This quote did not come from Baba as He never tells anything which runs contrary to Ananda Marga ideology.

Summary

About the above unsubstantiated quote, pages and pages can be written. The reasoning is perfectly clear. That Divine Entity who is the shelter of all does not merge into any lesser entity like mission. The Supreme Shelter does not Himself take shelter in anything else.

Ananda Marga ideology teaches us, “He is the supreme shelter of all, yet requires no shelter. It is said,

    Prabhumishamaniishamasheságuńam guńahiinamaheshaganavaranám.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Oh Lord, Oh Parama Puruśa, You are in control of all, You are the shelter of all, but You do not require any shelter from anyone.” (2)

Namaskar,
In Him,
Sahadeva Ghosh

Whose brainchild

You may be aware that the dogmatic “merge in mission” quote is the brainchild of Dada Sarvatmananda = he is the one who invented this bogus and fallacious quote.

Once again, the false quote which some whimsical people have attributed to Baba is: “I am not this physical body, this physical body is not me. If you want to know me, work for my mission, because I have merged myself with my mission.”

Your ideal

Original Ananda Vanii states: “Your ideal is represented by your conduct. Your learning, your social or economic status have nothing to do with your ideal.”  (Ananda Vanii #13)

Note: Sadguru Baba has assigned a number to all His original and true Ananda Vaniis. In contrast, Fake Ananda Vaniis do not have any number. By this simple formula, one can easily recognise which is a true Ananda Vanii and which is fake. For the upcoming occasion of January 1st 2017, all Ananda Marga units should use one of Baba’s original and true Ananda Vaniis, not a fake one. By this way, one will surely get His blessing.

== Section 3: Important Teaching ==

These people cannot be pardoned

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Those who perpetrate atrocities on collective life or on a particular human group, cannot be pardoned. In such cases pardoning not only reflects weakness, it also encourages injustice, because the oppressors become more tyrannical. In individual life, if an innocent person is oppressed by dishonest people, the person, if he or she so desires, may pardon the oppressors, just to test his or her capacity for tolerance or for some other reason. But if the oppressors torture a human group, in that case no single individual, as the representative of the group, can pardon them, and actually that person has no right to do so. If the representative acts beyond his or her jurisdiction, that person will be denounced by the group he or she represents. So it has to be said that pardoning is a practice for individual life only, not for collective life.” (1)

Mahaprayan of one didi

Baba

Mahaprayan of one didi

Namaskar,

It is with much sadness that we share the news of the mahaprayan of Smt. Indravati Devi. She underwent her mahaprayan around 12pm IST on 11th December in Varanasi. Respected Indravati Devi Didi was the spouse of the late honoured Acarya Sakaldiip jii. Previously they lived in Ara (Bihar) for many years. At the time of her mahaprayan Didiji was 78 years of age. She is survived by her son Rajesh Singh ji of Noida, Delhi.

All will recall Smt. Indravati Devi as a kind and loving person and a committed Ananda Margii who was highly dedicated to Sadguru Shrii Shrii Anandamurti ji and His mission. Being very service-minded, she was a caretaker to all who came in her contact. Indeed she touched the lives of many.

A cremation ceremony for Smt. Indravati Devi was performed as per our Ananda Marga system at Manikarnika Ghat, Varanasi. A large gathering of family members, margiis, and numerous friends, relatives and community members were in observance. The mahaprayan of Smt. Indravati Devi is a great loss to us all.

May we all take solace in the fact that our dear Didi - Smt. Indravati Devi - was a bhakta of Sadguru Baba. Certainly she will attain mukti or moksa, accordingly. Baba will lovingly bestow His infinite grace.

at the lotus feet of Baba,
Ramdev

Incident: Sitting on Baba's lap means died?

Recently after dharmacakra, a senior margii was recounting his experiences of having dharma samiiksa with Baba.

He said, "After being lovingly scolded by Baba for my wrongdoings, then He called me close and placed me on His lap - I remained there for some time soaking up His love - and He blessed me."

We all enjoyed hearing about his personal account with Baba during dharma samiiksa. When he finished telling his factual and historical event, there was a call for questions. Various people posed their queries.

Towards the end, one new margii raised his hand and asked, "How did Baba bring you back to life?"

Everyone stared at the new margii in amazement. There was a look of astonishment all around - people were really shocked to hear him say this. The new sadhaka sensed that something was wrong He said very matter-of-factly, "I thought that sitting on Baba's Lap means that he (the margii) died - that is why I asked that question."

This was quite eye-opening for those of us in the room: Through our language and expression we had unknowingly taught someone to think that being on Baba's lap is the equivalent of death. Because it seems that nowadays people only use the phrase "Baba's lap" when a person has died, such as "Let him rest peacefully in Baba's lap", as if in order to sit on Baba’s lap one has to die. But that is false. Sincere sadhakas regularly sit on Baba’s lap in their meditation. It is His grace. It is just like a child need not die in order to sit on his father’s lap.

The idea is that this phrase - Baba's lap - has been linked with death due to extreme overuse. So for some time if sadhakas use this phrase exclusively for devotional purposes, that will be best.

The phrase, "sitting on Baba's lap", should not meet a similar fate. It should not lose its devotional quality and just refer to one's death. That will be very negative.

Baba would bless devotees and place them on His lap

There are tens of thousands of recorded stories by sadhakas where they use the phrase, "on Baba's lap", when describing their experiences of being with Baba: He used to bless them and bring them on His lap. People should understand the deeply devotional value of this expression, and not just think that Baba's lap means death, i.e. that you can only sit on His lap at the time of death. Still today there are thousands of margiis walking this earth who sat in Baba's lap. And not only that, there are countless more sadhakas who were blessed by Baba in dreams and sadhana wherein they sat in His lap. And still today this deeply devotional experience is attainable by sadhakas, by His grace.

There are so many ways an aspirant can reach unto Baba's lap including in sadhana. That is the main idea that should be preserved. Sadhana is a devotional practice and one can sit on Baba's lap in sadhana. We should make it cent-per-cent clear to one and all that the phrase, "sitting on Baba's lap", does not mean death.

Dogma:
if "on Baba's lap" only used for death

Here are quoted lines from recently posted emails on various forums, wherein the writer uses the phrase - "in Baba's lap" - with the occasion of death:

- "May Parama Purusa Baba accept her in HIS divine lap"

- "May his soul rest in the lap of our beloved BABA"

- "Now she is taking rest in Baba's Lap."

- "May Baba accept him in HIS divine lap....."

- "May he rest in HIS loving lap of eternity."

- "We are sure that Baba has taken him in His loving lap."

- "May his soul rest in Baba's lap forever."

- "Let her rest peacefully in Baba's Lap - which she always desired."

- "now he is in beloved Baba's lap"

- "May his soul get peaceful place in His lap"

- "He is now in Bábá's loving lap"

- "May Baba bless him with a seat in His lap."

- "May BABA accept him in HIS divine lap!"

- "May Baba take him in his eternal loving lap."

- "Please keep him on Your lap forever."

- ‘We all collectively pray to Baba to take him on Baba's divine lap forever.”

All of the above lines are commonly written in eulogizing the deceased. These days mostly it is used in a eulogy and rarely used to recount one's devotional experiences - unfortunately. By this way, the phrase "in Baba's lap" is being misused and step by step the real meaning is being forgotten as now people more commonly use the phrase to eulogize those who have died, and much less so to express their devotional feeling. Unfortunately, the meaning and inner spirit of the phrase is getting lost.

"Mahaprayan" means death of mortals - confirm for yourself
from the Samsad Bengali-English Dictionary

Mahaprayan (Death): Many are aware that mahaprayan (death) is the common term used in India and especially in our Bengal to describe the death of any human being, even ordinary people. In that way, the obituary columns of the newspapers of Bengal regularly cite the mahaprayan (death) of various persons of society who died or passed away.

Some may get confused and wrongly think that the word 'mahaprayan' (death) is one extraordinarily devotional term to be used in association with Parama Purusa. But that is not at all the case. Rather to do so is only to undermine the eternal presence of Parama Purusa. That is why no devotees ever use the word 'mahaprayan' in reference to Lord Shiva or Lord Krsna. Because Lord Shiva and Lord Krsna exist eternally. Then there is no question of Their mahaprayan (death).

Baba is Parama Purusa so He is eternal and there is no question of His mahaprayan.

Here it should be known that the convention of an annual death day ceremony (i.e. shraddhainjali or mahaprayan) is a foundation of the Islamic tradition. Muslims are well known for this, and their approach of an annual death day ceremony was adopted by the leader of a particular group in AMPS. So no one should think that mahaprayan is some type of sacred event. It is done on the death day anniversary of Muslims.

And for those who need still more technical proof then all this can be clarified quite readily by referencing the dictionary. Specifically in the Samsad Bengali-English dictionary 3rd edition on page 848. Checking there it will be confirmed that the word 'mahaprayan' means death. Which is why it is used to refer to the passing away of even common citizens.

Mahaprayan is only for humans not for Sadguru

Here it should be qualified that there is both real mahaprayan and fake mahaprayan. Real mahaprayan marks the death of any ordinary human being, just like the aforesaid news. This is the proper use of the term: To note a person's departure from this earth. That is the meaning of the mahaprayan term and that is the standard way the term is used in Indian languages.

Then there is the fake, or so-called, or dogmatic mahaprayan. That is when certain vested interests try to apply the mahaprayan term to Parama Purusa. This is grossly inappropriate because when Parama Purusa Sadguru Baba is that Divine Entity who is beginningless and endless and resides always in our heart, then it is entirely wrong to proclaim that He is gone.

That is why rational margiis are protesting; because the Oct 21st program is so-called mahaprayan. So-called means that something is fake. Parama Purusa is eternal, thus for some vested interests to declare "mahaprayan of Parama Purusa" is nothing but so-called mahaprayan.

Mahaprayan only really happens in the case of human beings, not Parama Purusa. Those doing mahaprayan for Sadguru are hypocrites. On the one side in meditation they ask His grace thinking that He is ever-present, and on the other side they think that Baba has passed way. That is their hypocrisy.

B Group: Wonky Avadhuta

Baba
B Group: Wonky Avadhuta

Namaskar,
On many occasions, while giving the definition of avadhuta, Baba told the audience that "Avadhutas are those who are above all kinds of degrading propensities. and have established themselves in brahma bhava. They are elevated and can be called as a second god."

I remember, one time in 1990 when Baba initiated many brahmacariis in avadhuta sadhana, and had them take oath as an avadhuta, while giving blessing to them, Baba said "These are the newly created avadhutas who are going to all corners of the globe to propagate Bhagavata dharma".

Loose so-called avadhutas are quite common

But unfortunately, those standards which Baba has put forth, in the present real-world scenario they exist in dreamland only. Rarely do we see such things. Rather, these days loose so-called avadhutas are quite common. Here is the example. Everybody knows that this dada is Dhyansiddhananada. By seeing this image, it is quite obvious that he is fake. He is a habitually loose wt. For non-margiis who do not know about Ananda Marga and don't know about the ethics of tantra, they think there is nothing wrong. Those who know about Ananda Marga know it is wrong. Those who cannot understand, please read the below conduct rules which Sadguru has given the avadhutas to follow. Those Wts who are not following, are fake avadhutas.

Counterfeit monk

Baba

Counterfeit monk

Note: This letter is only for those who have reverence for Sadguru Baba and try to learn and follow His Ananda Marga ideology. Others may not understand the gravity of this issue discussed in the below letter.

Namaskar,
When a person dedicates themselves to the service of humanity and becomes a Wt in Ananda Marga, they selflessly offer their entire existence to Parama Purusa. They do not have anything to proclaim as their own. They are wholly committed to singing the glory of Parama Purusa and serving humanity. They will never glorify themselves. Unfortunately, from time to time, we see some fake Wts moving in saffron uniform whereby outwardly they look like they have sacrificed themselves for the great cause, but if you see their action it is clear they are counterfeit - fake. Wherever they get the opportunity, they brag about themselves and sing their own glory.

Bhaktas & true WTs never glorify themselves

Prabhat Samgiita #0337 gives the guideline to never glorify oneself.

“kono avakáshe káháro sakáshe, nijere pracár karibo ná, ámi,
    nijere pracár karibo ná
esechi karite tomár karma, tava váńii mor práńera dharma
shayane svapane ninde jágarańe, tomá vai kichu smaribo ná ámi,
tomá vai kichu smaribo ná” (Prabhat Samgiita #0337)

Purport #0337: O’ Parama Purusa, before anybody I will not glorify myself, I will not do self-publicity. I have come on this earth to serve all, and do the work which You have allotted me. Your teachings are my everything. In my wakeful state, dream, and sleep I will think about You only. I will not ideate on anything else. I will never glorify myself in any shape or form. I will sing Your glory, I will not do self-propaganda, O’ Parama Purusa….

The above song (Prabhat Samgiita #0337) teaches us that one should always propagate Ananda Marga ideology and sing the glory of Parama Purusa, and never glorify oneself.

Pseudo Wt: self-propaganda

Here below is a dada seated on one fancy swing. On the right side, the seat of the swing is suspended by chains that are attached to two poles that support the structure. Dada is sitting in a grand pose on this elaborate swing. And he uploaded this selfie and posted it on his Facebook page where he introduced himself as a great guru. If typical street folk do this that is one thing. But for a monk, who has taken the vow to only sing the glory of Parama Purusa, this type of self-propaganda as a great guru on Facebook is a betrayal to their dedication. Only fake people indulge in self-propaganda. Due to this issue of self-promotion, Dada Raganugananda is a counterfeit monk.

In case you did not read earlier, here above is a dada seated on one fancy swing.

Fake Wts beat the drum of their bogus glory

After taking this photo, Dada put it up on his Facebook page. By his action it looks like he is an idiot also. It is just like a thief who stole an article and then took a photo of himself with that stolen material and put it up on his Facebook page. Then within a few minutes the police knocked on his door and he was arrested. When you see any Wt making selfies, posing as great saint, and promoting their image on Facebook or social media then you can immediately understand that they are fallen Wts and degraded fellows. The things which Guru has barred and condemned, they are doing. They are going against their vow of monkhood. They have taken the vow to glorify Parama Purusa but they are exclusively doing their own self-glorification instead. If you move around social media you will see many degraded souls who contravene this rule and befool others and present themselves in saffron garb as an Ananda Marga monk. Watch out for such swindlers. Inside they are greedy for name and fame and outside they are a monk. Dada R is one of them, sadly.

Ananda Marga ideology says, "“Kiirttaniiyah sadáharih”. Kiirtana should be done on Hari and on no other entity. One should not praise oneself or any other person. There are many people who are very fond of praising themselves by telling everyone what wonderful things they have done, but, as mentioned in this sloka, kiirtana is not for one’s own self but for Hari. Even though people are taught to do kiirtana for Hari, they still make the mistake of praising themselves too much. Sometimes their self-praise is so intense that others are obliged to say, “Please stop praising yourself so much.” They forget that their self-applause is rather boring for others. Human beings should realize that no one likes to hear the self-praise of others." (1)

If one wt puts an action photo of themselves on Facebook depicting them in social service or relief work then that is appropriate. But just posting portrait photos on Facebook to glorify oneself is the work of one degraded Wt. Be aware about these chameleons moving in saffron garb. Saffron dress is the symbol of dedication, but in the practical sphere such chameleons do not have any dedication. Inside they are greedy for name and fame; that is why they are called: counterfeit monks or Wts.

By this above photo you can understand that this is the person falls in this category - i.e. Dada Raganugananda.

Namaskar,
In Him,
Krsna’

Animal cruelty in H group DMS

Baba

Animal cruelty in H group DMS

Namaskar,
These days in certain parts of the globe it is big-business to trap large-game animals in the wild and bring them to the city for the entertainment industry such as the circus, tourist rides etc. Also in India, big-game animals are exploited and displayed at political receptions, processions, marriage parties, etc. By these dealings, animals are tortured and forced to lived in a cage in town.

It is so sad to see these wild animals - who wish to live in their natural habitat - caged, chained, and forced to live out their days in this confined manner. This type of animal cruelty goes on unchecked. It is sad and disgraceful that we are unable to open the eyes of the general public about such animal cruelty. Due to our own poor example, we have been unable to propagate neo-humanism to the people. The worst part is that so-called avadhutas promote themselves as the flagbearers of Ananda Marga ideology and neo-humanism but they indulge in animal cruelty also. The recent case of elephant exploitation is one of the examples. And this is not something that is going on hidden under the covers. H group propagated this below photo in their own newsletter and in the public newspapers also. Those DMS organisers are projecting to the whole world that it is ok to treat animals in this way. This is the misguided and hypocritical message given by our Dadas. This whole scene unfolded at Samastipur DMS in Bihar India.

Case of animal torture & coerced starvation

Take a look and see the elephant brought by our Dadas for the recent DMS.

#1: The DMS organisers have brought an elephant on-site - in the middle of town; obviously it is completely unnatural for that elephant to remain in the city. But out of their desire to add pomp and show to the occasion of Samastipur DMS, our Dadas did this.

#2: Now take a look at the elephant which they have brought onto the scene. See how the elephant is completely emaciated. The two red arrows point to huge divots in the elephant’s head, on either side of the eyes. That type of extreme hollowness in the skull shows how malnourished and food deprived the elephant is. Due to starvation, it has developed huge cavities in its head whereby the bones protrude in a sickly manner. It is a case of animal torture. Really it is quite shocking to see. Yet, those Dadas are forcing that poor, wild animal to starve and live in the dirty, dusty city for their own DMS procession.

#3: Once again, if you did not read this already up above, take a look at the elephant which they have brought onto the scene. Yet, those Dadas are forcing that poor, wild animal to starve and live in the dirty, dusty city for their own DMS parade.

#4: Sadly, this is a clear-cut case of animal cruelty. This callous mistreatment is quite disgraceful and has to be opposed on the point of neo-humanism.

#5: As Ananda Margiis, we cannot remain silent. Sadguru Baba has given us the duty to care for animals and plants also.

#6: Where animal cruelty goes on - we have to raise the voice of neo-humanism and oppose such ghastly mistreatment of these animals.

Cruelty against elephant

As disciples of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, the Propounder of neo-humanism, we have to raise the voice against such type of cruelty and mistreatment. How long will we keep quiet in the face of this horrible exploitation of these grand creatures who are members of our vast universal family. It is disgraceful how these animals are forced to live a tortured life.

In Him,
Dya’nidhi

~ In-depth study ~

Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Human beings are more cruel than vultures. Their hearts don’t melt even at the sight of tears of innocent birds and animals. Just to gratify their sense of greed, they mercilessly slit the throats of animals with sharp knives and swords and thus deprive them of the right to live.” (1)

Re: In WhatsApp: degraded person spreads venom

Namaskar,
I appreciate the point raised: How pseudo and half-baked margiis thrive on social media and enjoy by confusing simple margii bhaktas. That was the grave concern expressed in the posting - In WhatsApp: degraded person spreads venom.

Unfortunately innocent people due to their ignorance praise such loka vymoha karaka people - i.e. half-baked pundits on the prowl for prestige and acclaim.

Those who try to belittle Baba should be dealt with very seriously. This is a matter of Sixteen Points - i.e. point #10 on sanctity of Ista.

Thanks again for raising this issue.

Sadguru Baba says, "The scriptures should always be interpreted by qualified scholars, competent philosophers, and penetrating thinkers. If one tries to interpret a profound scripture with superficial knowledge, the interpreter appears ridiculous and the audience is confused. There are some people who are neither scholars, nor philosophers, nor penetrating thinkers, but merely wander about interpreting scriptures as a means of livelihood. They utterly fail to present the proper matter in the correct perspective before the audience. Such people may be successful in earning a living in the name of shástra vyákhyána, but they do more harm than good to the society. There are still others who interpret the scriptures just to exhibit their intellect – to procure for themselves a certificate of erudition. They too remain far from the living spirit of the scriptures, from the One who is their fountainhead of inspiration. So how can one attain liberation through scriptural interpretation? Rather, some interpreters become inflated with vanity and stray from the supreme goal of life. They become more degenerated than common people." (1)

You make everyone dance to Your sweet will

“Báre báre jiiver tare, áso tumi e dharáte, devádideva sambhútite…” (Prabhat Samgiita #3899)

O’ Parama Purusa, You take advent on this earth in the form of Mahasambhuti, age after age. You are devádideva. Time and again, You come to bhaktas for their all-round welfare. O’ the Controller of sriśt́i (creation), sthiti (preservation), and pralaya (withdrawal) - i.e. You oversee the birth, death and maintainence / preservation of this entire cosmos. You come as infinite streams of love and compassion; You are love-personified.

O’ the Supreme Entity, no one knows where You reside. No one knows why You never take any rest. You go on playing Your divine liila continually all the 24 hours - always. There are so many things that I do not know about You. You do not come and go; You are ever-present. O’ Parama Purusa, in this elaborate liila of Yours, You make everyone dance to Your sweet will.

Baba, O’ Táraka Brahma, my Dearest One, You are the most adorable Entity, and You have all virtues and noblest attributions. You are the Goal of everyone’s sadhana. With Your ota and prota yoga [1], You are always help. Give me shelter under your feet...

Note for Prabhat Samgiita #3899

What is ota-prota yoga - 1

[1] Ota-Prota Yoga: By way of analogy we can best understand this term. Suppose a mother has five children. When she loves any one of them individually then that is akin to her ota yoga relation with that particular child. She has this type of ota yoga relation with each and every one of her children on a personal, individual level. In contrast, when that same mother loves and cares for her five children all together as a whole, collective family then that is akin to prota yoga.

Similarly, Parama Purusa has an individual loving relation with every bhakta on a personal, individual level. Whatever that bhakta thinks and says then Parama Purusa lovingly listens and cares for that bhakta. So that is the very personal relation of ota yoga. And when He thinks about the entire creation and the welfare of all at the same time, then that connection is prota yog

In their own personal life, every bhakta should appreciate Parama Purusa’s relation as ota yoga - i.e. a very intimate, personal link; whereas, lower grade bhaktas relate more to Parama Purusa via His approach of prota yoga.

In Subhasita Samgraha part 17 (Gwalior DMC in 1984), Baba has given the meaning of ota yoga and prota yoga in English. Ota yoga is "individual tactuality" between Parama Purusa and the unit entity; and, prota yoga is "collective tactuality" between Parama Purusa and all the entities, simultaneously.

The above definition describes the intimate relation between Parama Purusa and His jiivas through His ota & prota yoga. This same term has been explained in a slightly different manner in the following discourse.

Ananda Marga ideology says, "What is ota-yoga? He as the Cosmic Father has a direct relationship with each and every entity of this world...All are His affectionate children. This is His ota-yoga. Each and every entity, animate or inanimate, has a direct link with Him. Just as ota yoga means the Cosmic Father's relationship with each entity individually, prota yoga means His relationship with all collectively." (1)

And here is more about ota-prota yoga:

What is ota-prota yoga - 2

Otahprotah yogábhyáḿ saḿyuktah Puruśottamah.

[Puruśottama is linked to each entity individually and to all entities collectively.]

Ananda Sutram Purport: Puruśottama, the Nucleus of the universe, is the witness of and is directly concerned with every unit entity. This association of His is called ota yoga [the yoga of individual association]. Evidently Puruśottama is the collective entity of the universe as well as witness of the collective mind. This association of His with the collectivity is called prota yoga [the yoga of pervasive association]. In other words, it may be said that the one who is associated with His objects through both ota and prota yogas at the same time is Puruśottama. (2)

Ananda Marga ideology says, “Suppose there is a virtuous discussion going on somewhere. If you invite two hundred people to this discussion, you will find that only sixty invitees have turned up, at the most. Out of these participants about ten or twelve people at most listen with patience and bhakti to the talks; and out of these listeners, only some properly understand the subject discussed. Then again, out of this small group that has understood, only a very few may retain in their minds what they have understood. Lastly, only one or two persons of this last group may practice in their daily lives what they have learnt and understood. This is only due to the clash between vidyá and avidyá in the mind, and in this clash the triumph of avidyá or the extroversive force means running from the introversive bent of vidyá. It is because of the saḿskaras of animality that the introversive momentum is rare in the average human mind. The sensuous desires of avidyá continue to infiltrate into every thought process. Such a situation continues for a long time in a sádhaka’s life.” (3)

क्या है--ओतयोग और प्रोतयोग, individual tactuality and collective tactuality

what ota prota yoga

Analogy of washerman, sin, smashing clothes on rock

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “Doing what a human being should not do is pápa, and not doing what a human being should do is pratyaváya. Pátaka includes both pápa and pratyaváya. You should not steal, and, if you do, you commit pápa. You should assist a helpless person, and, if you do not, you commit pratyaváya. Pápa seems good as long as we do not get the reaction of our pápa. Have you seen a washerman washing clothes in an Indian town? He lifts the clothes he is washing high up in the air, and the clothes think they are moving up and feel elated. But they do not realize that the higher they are raised, the harder they are hit against the washing stone. The persons who commit pápa are like those clothes who think that they are having a nice time and are moving up. They enjoy themselves in pápa. But when they suffer the reaction of pápa, they find themselves in misery, like the clothes they get beaten on the stone.” (1)

Namaskar,
Here Baba gives us a powerful metaphor for doing evil and its consequences. The higher the washerman raises the clothes, the harder they will hit the stone to be cleaned. You can imagine that the dirtier the clothes are, the higher they will be raised. But up there in the air, the clothes feel good. Those who commit evil actions feel good while doing it. The better they feel doing their evil actions, the more pain they will experience when they hit the stone. You have heard, the higher they are, the harder they fall. Baba warns of how seductive doing evil is, and how terrible it is to become committed to doing evil actions.

Also important here is to recognize that the clothes (the person doing evil) do not recognize their plight. The more evil they commit, the more they enjoy it and the less they recognize the danger of what they are doing. Sin begins in this way.

In Him,
Bhaskar

Wobbly Avadhuta

Baba

Wobbly wt
Namaskar,

I remember, one time in 1990 when Baba initiated many brahmacariis in avadhuta sadhana, and took oath as an avadhuta, while giving blessing to them, Baba said "These are the newly created avadhutas who are going to all corners of the globe to propagate Bhagavata dharma". And in many other occasions, while giving the definition of avadhuta, Baba told the audience that "Avadhutas are those who are above all kinds of degrading propensities. and have established themselves in brahma bhava. They are elevated and can be called as a second god."
Loose so-called avadhutas are quite common
But unfortunately, those standards which Baba has put forth, in the present real-world scenario they exist in dreamland only. Rarely do we see such things. Rather, these days loose so-called avadhutas are quite common. Here is the example. Everybody knows that this dada is Ramashrayananda. By seeing this image, it is quite obvious that he is fake. He is a habitually loose wt. For new people it may be a surprise, and think that there is nothing wrong here. Those who cannot understand, please read these conduct rules which sadguru has given the avadhutas to follow. Those who are not following, are fake.
In Him,
Liila
(Lucy Dennings)
Wt conduct Rules do’s and don’ts
Here are some of the Wt rules of conduct that Wts must follow.
Wt conduct rule guides: "Avadhu'ta must not remain in a lonely place with any female." (32 Rules for Avadhuta, point #13)
Wt conduct rule guides: “One should not look at the face of the opposite sex.” (37 Workers Rules, Point #15)
Wt conduct rule guides: "You will have to protect yourself from sexual weakness..." (WT Conduct: Fourteen Points, pt #12)
Wt conduct rule guides: "Avadhuta shall treat every woman of the world, including his ex-wife, as mother." (32 Rules for Avadhuta, point #11)
Wt conduct rule guides: "Under no circumstances should the purity of the body and mind be polluted." (32 Rules for Avadhu'tikas, pt #30)
Wt conduct rule guides: "One should attract others by one's sacrificing nature." (37 Wholetime Workers Rules, pt #20)
Wt conduct rule guides: "One should not be greedy." (37 Wholetime Workers Rules, pt #12)
Wt conduct rule guides: "You will always be accustomed to lead a hard and industrious life." (Wholetimer Conduct Rule, Fourteen Points, pt #6)
Wt conduct rule guides: “One should leave all sorts of luxuries.” (37 Wholetime Workers Rules, pt #6)
Wt conduct rule guides: “One should make others good by becoming an ideal person.” (37 Wholetime Workers Rules, pt #22)
WT Conduct rules on black money
By their tactics, he/she has certainly contravened Guru's teachings and conduct rules on black money. Following are Baba's mandates for wholetime workers:
Wt conduct rule guides: "No worker can keep unaccounted money (black money) with him." (Wt Conduct: Six Additional Rules, pt# 1a)
Wt conduct rule guides: "Each worker will separately maintain the clear account of receipt and expenditure of his personal allowance and organizational money." (Wt Conduct: Six Additional Rules, pt# 1b)
Wt conduct rule guides: "Whenever supervisory worker so desires, the worker is to give the proper account of expenditure tallying with the cash at their disposal." (Wt Conduct: Six Additional Rules, pt# 1c)
Wt conduct rule guides: "Each amount of collection should be deposited properly and drawn after submitting requisition." (Wt Conduct: Six Additional Rules, pt# 1d)
Wt conduct rule guides: "Proper vouchers are to be maintained for each item of expenditure." (Wt Conduct: Six Additional Rules, pt# 1e)
