Danger on AMPS & suicide

Here we reflect on the very sad and tragic news that Ac Mridul Brc committed suicide at Jaunpur (UP) Ananda Marga school. Here are some key points related with this tragedy:
#1: At present, the reason behind Ac Mridul’s suicide is unknown. Ac Mridul was merely 22 years of age, just a young man with a bright future ahead of him. Naturally, everyone is shocked and terribly concerned this awful situation, especially on the heels of Ac Anirvan Brc’s suicide (24 Nov 2020).
#2: Of utmost importance is that a thorough investigation should be conducted to prevent a recurring event. No one in our AMPS should become a victim of suicide. We have to unearth why this has occurred.

#3: There is one, however, contributing factor why Ac Mridul Brc committed suicide. After completing his WT training in H group, Ac Mridul was posted by Ranchi AMPS, and it is alleged that Madhuvratananda antagonized Ac Mridul. In response, Ac Mridul migrated to 3rd Front. Then in 3rd Front also he was allegedly pressured by both Vandanananda and Parmeshvarananda.
#4: After all this, Ac Mridul left 3rd front and later on actually wished to return to 3rd front because of his sincere wish to be part of a sannyasi order but his plea was rejected. Even then Ac Mridul didn't return to his worldly home. Rather, he continued moving around and staying in different places, all the while doing work for Baba’s mission.
#5: Ac Mridul was then given permission by Dr Jitendra Singh and Narendra Rajpurohit ji to stay at the Jaunpur Ananda Marga school. Dada Mridul had been staying at the Jaunpur school for almost one year, but he was reportedly unhappy there in the six months leading up to his suicide
#6: At the school Dada Mridul did not have a post; instead he was in a training position. So it could be that Ac Mridul ji became depressed because a non-wt was his boss and giving him orders.
#7: Whatever the exact reasons behind the tragedy of Ac Mridul’s suicide, this is a very serious problem for our AMPS. Day in and day out, we are bearing witness to the deaths of our elderly, senior Wts, and side by side, our Training Centres are essentially empty. So we have almost no cadres coming into the ranks. And those few new ones who are coming are committing suicide at an alarming rate. Verily, even one suicide is too many, but when it becomes a trend, that type of systemic problem is horrific for any organisation or community. Yet, that is what we are facing.

#8: All this brings to bear that enemies and anti-social elements are holding the reins of our AMPS. They have not the slightest concern that our organisation will wither away. Old Wts are dying at a very fast rate, and new Wts are allegedly tortured whereby they either leave, feel scorned, or commit suicide. It is a recipe for disaster and will ultimately extinguish our AMPS. Yet those at the helm have no qualms about this. What could be more disturbing. We have not a second to waste; maximum efforts must be made to create new wts and protect them.

Ananda Marga ideology states, “How then in this manifested universe, where there are multitudes of finite objects, can we start a life based on Brahma? The answer is that you adopt madhuvidyá. Instead of seeing the finite and superficial objects as finite look upon them as the finite expressions of the Infinite or the permanent. Then the attraction for preya and love for shreya shall all fuse into one."
"Do you love your son? It is perfectly right that you should, however, when the son dies, you will experience great pain. Is it not so? The son is preya, a finite entity. He cannot live till eternity. He will depart and make you weep. But if you treat your son as the expression of Brahma in the form of your son, then you will never fear losing him because Brahma cannot be lost in any span of time. He is present around you in all the ten directions."
"O Human beings, in that state, no finite object can colour your mind. You will be beyond all colours or Varńátiita. Then you will be able to give proper treatment to any finite being that you may come in contact with. Give proper treatment to the expression of Brahma in the shape of your father by serving him and paying attention to his comforts. Give proper treatment to the expression of Brahma in the shape of the earth by cultivating it and increasing its fertility. If you give such proper treatment to the different objects, they will not be able to degrade your mind. This is called true Vaerágya." (1)
