Going against Caryacarya is ignoble

Overview: Here is a basic statement and response with Dada Bhaveshananda regarding MPD.
(I) Dada ji states: Some people think that kolkata administration or Bengalis are getting benefitted out of this 6 days kirtan.
REPLY: First off, it is well-known that mahaprayan is one of the biggest money-making events of the year. Moreover, it is a chief opportunity to draw as many people as possible to the Tiljala campus. So these are two clear-cut benefits: money / donations and attendance.
(II) Dada ji states: It is not a celebration rather it is a painful remembrance of The Most Beloved.
REPLY: Please excuse me, but this does give the very clear view that mahaprayan is seen as a sorrowful and tragic event that is a “painful remembrance”. One can only infer that it is a “painful remembrance” because the meaning is that Baba is gone.
Actually, the fundamental concept behind the mahaprayan programme is contradictory to the blissful approach of Ananda Marga ideology. The entire concept of mahaprayan goes against Baba’s teachings on bhakti, i.e. that Baba is always with you showering His unending bliss.
(III) Dada ji states: It [mahaprayan] is only Kirtan and Kirtan alone.
REPLY: This is a common approach. Many like to equate a dogma with something great to make it look better. Specifically, here Dada ji is equating the dogma of mahaprayan with kiirtana. The response is that if it is only kiirtana then why the need to go against Caryacarya by hosting an annual mahaprayan (death ceremony) programme each year for the eternal Parama Purusa Baba Anandamurti ji. Rather, sadhakas can just do kiirtana whenever and wherever they wish.
Conclusion: Here the aim should be to follow dharmic and blissful teachings of Baba’s Ananda Marga ideology.
