Proof: most English & Hindi AM books are tainted

Baba

Proof: most English & Hindi AM books are tainted

Namaskar,

#1: Thanks for your great interest in the Pure edition of Ananda Vacanamrtam Parts 1 & 2 (2020), as well as in preserving the sanctity of Sadguru Baba Shii Shrii Anandamurti ji’s scripture. To safeguard Baba’s pravacans, it is important to investigate the degree to which TP (Tiljala Publications) has misrepresented Baba’s teachings.

#2: By carefully doing a line by line comparison of (a) the old tainted English edition of Ananda Vacanamrtam part 1 (1986 Edn) discourse #12 with (b) Baba's original audio file, it will be extremely evident which pages and paragraphs have been poorly rendered and what sections are missing entirely.

Step by step process

#3: Please go through the below old tainted English edition of AV-1 and match it with Baba's original audio. Kindly follow the below steps:
(A) See the below scan of discourse #12 from the old tainted AV-1 Book. That is the entirety of discourse #12, as done by Tiljala Publications. Take note of the red asterisks and the marked timings of the audio file. They denote the points where Baba is speaking in English.
(B) Then click on this following sound file of Baba's original audio of that same discourse and start listening at the 56 second mark:
(C) While listening to Baba's original English words, do a line by line check of the below scan of discourse #12 of the old AV-1 Book.

(D) From the 56 second mark there are numerous issues with the printed book. When that first English section finishes then skip over the Hindi section and scroll to the 2 min 17 sec mark to hear the second English section. When that second English section finishes then skip over the Hindi and scroll to the 3 min 33 sec mark to hear the third English section. When that third English section finishes then skip over the Hindi and scroll to the 5 min 52 sec mark to hear the final English section.

(E) Remember, if those same English words that Baba spoke are not present in the old tainted English edition of AV-1, it means they cut out those words which Baba spoke.

(F) By this method you can check going line by line, para by para. When you complete this, let us know and we will send you a scan of that same AV #12 discourse from the new Pure Book. Then you can see how the new Pure book beautifully matches up with Baba's original discourse.

Conclusion

By listening to the sound file, one can make an authentic, meaningful assessment of the old, tainted book. Then you will see with your own eyes the degree to which the Baba’s printed discourses have been ruined in that old edition of Ananda Vacanamrtam part 1 etc.

in Him,
Dharmaviira

Lucrative kiirtan business + 2 more

Baba
Lucrative kiirtan business

Namaskar,

The main reason why we have prasad after akhanda kiirtan and dharmacakra is to help inspire new people to participate. Those not drawn for devotional reasons may come in order to eat sweets. And by coming to eat sweets, they are greatly benefited because that means for at least some time they must participate in the kiirtan.

During kiirtan, dada Savitánanda is placing an Indian sweet - known as misiri - near Baba's photo. And he keeps it there the duration of the akhanda kiirtan program, however long it may be.

Then Savitananda brings that misiri candy to various margiis around India and sells it as prasad, claiming that it is pure positive microvita. Or if he doesn't sell it directly, then he gives it to them with the hope that it will evoke a generous donation. In either case, Savitánanda ji is doing business with his so-called prasad.

There is another component to this issue.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/

Sales pitch: ‘Prasad’ will fulfill all your wishes

When Savitánanda ji tells margiis about the prasad, then he talks about the special powers this prasad has. He describes how this prasad removes one's samskaras, and that whatever you ask for when you eat this prasad then that wish will come true.

For instance, if you want (a) victory in your court case, or (b) a wealthy, handsome husband for your daughter, or (c) success in school, then just put forth that request mentally when you eat that "prasad", and it will happen. You will get that court victory; you will find that perfect husband for your daughter; or you will get top scores in school. Such is the way that Savitananda advertises his so-called prasad. This is how he boosts sales and increases profits.

Here it should be clarified that Savitánanda ji is not moving about with one big sign-board. Rather he approaches margiis individually, one-on-one about this. He tells the glory of this prasad, and then softly says to that margii that, "I have brought some especially for you. In the past you have given grand donations and it will be very good if you continue to contribute."

This is Savitananda ji's get-rich-quick sales pitch for making money off of akhanda kiirtan.

Dirty livelihood

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “People’s means of livelihood should not depend on the quarrel of individuals, as in the case of lawyers. Lawyers usually set one person against another and in this way they serve their personal interests. Similarly no one should be a trader in religion, because in the name of religion, many people are exploited. Nor should one earn one’s livelihood by dealing with dead bodies because such people want more and more people to die, so that they may thereby increase their income. People should also not earn their livelihood by lending money and taking interest. Such persons want to lend more and more money to gain more and more interest, and they do not want the borrowers to refund the capital. The scriptures stipulate that people should not accept food from such people, because their occupations are despicable.” (1)

What is ‘prasad’

There are grave issues and serious misconceptions with Savitananda's modus operandi.

- Prasad is a loving offering from Parama Purusa. Selling candies / Indian misiri as prasad - or using that as a way to get a big donation - is just one capitalistic business venture. Its value as prasad is zero.

- Food that is in the kiirtan hall does not automatically become prasad. The main factor of prasad is that first one must mentally offer that item to Parama Purusa. And then He will bestow His blessing by graciously giving it back. Then and only then does it become prasad. And that offering to Parama Purusa can be done anywhere or anytime. In that sense, it is just like second lesson etc; it is not limited to the kiirtan hall. Whenever and wherever you surrender and offer something unto Him, then whatever food one receives back is prasad.

- Parama Purusa never accepts all the food or sweets that are offered unto Him. His main interest is not food but in one's inner feeling of bhakti. That is what Parama Purusa is truly hungry for, your bhakti - not food. Thus He will always return back your food offering as prasad.

- If anyone uses so-called prasad to achieve their selfish ends or to cheat others, then there is absolutely no blessing value associated with that food.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/

Putting water, potatoes, wheat flour, rice

- The way Savitánanda is making and using that "prasad" in order to get big donations is no different from the way dogmatic Hindu priests cheat the masses by selling holy Ganges water.

- Savitananda ji is setting a very bad example and implementing one dogma because innocent and naive margiis see what he is doing and now many are putting water, potatoes, wheat flour, rice and so many edible items in the kiirtan hall. They have been misled to believe that by this way their food will be blessed and contain a high degree of positive microvita. But that is just not the case. The way to get Guru's blessing is to mentally surrender oneself unto Him. Then one is sure to get success.

- Actually this dogma of placing food items in the kiirtan hall started years ago also, but under Baba's direct order that was put to a halt. Then everyone understood it was just a ritualistic dogma. That is why it is strange to see this cropping up again. Such is the degrading effect of Savitananda ji's example.

- Anything offered to Parama Purusa with a sincere heart automatically becomes prasad when Parama Purusa Baba graciously bestows any portion of that food back to you. All prasad is His grace and has the same value. It is silly and dogmatic to think that food placed in the kiirtan hall for 30 days has more grace or more positive microvita than food placed in the kiirtan hall for 5 minutes. For Parama Purusa, it is all His grace.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/

No startup money but huge profits

Usually when someone starts a new business then they have to invest a lot of capital. But Savitánanda never had to invest any funds to get his kiirtan business off the ground. Since day 1 he has just reaped the profits - an unending amount of profit that grows daily. Such is Savitananda ji's business model - all executed in the name of kiirtan.

No sadhaka can resort to hypocrisy

Here below Baba clearly warns us that no sadhaka should fall prey to hypocrisy.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "An honest person should never resort to hypocrisy in any sphere of life." (2)

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "The first requirement is that a spiritual aspirant must take shelter in satyam, the supreme veracity. Success never comes through hypocrisy or exhibitionism." (3)

Conclusion

Dada Savitánanda is cheating money by his tactic of kiirtan sweet prasad. It is a very low-minded and indeed dangerous approach. Because anyone who tries to use akhanda kiirtan as a way to profit is a religious shark.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/

Ananda Marga ideology teaches, ”No one should be a trader in religion, because in the name of religion, many people are exploited...The scriptures stipulate that people should not accept food from such people, because their occupations are despicable.”

Namaskar,
In Him,
Radhika’

Selfishness

Here below Baba guides us about the importance of adhering to the code of satya. Only by that way can one promote human welfare.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "It is only through the propagation of satya that collective welfare is possible...Where there is no propagation of satya people indulge in individual selfishness or group selfishness. The aim or object there is not enlivened with the idea of collective welfare. The only object of the party concerned is how to establish oneself in this material world by means of the use of well-knit language and cunningness." (4)

It is very sad to see one avadhuta selling prasad.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, “One who teaches through one’s conduct is an ácárya.” If one’s conduct is not exemplary, he or she is not an ácárya/á.” (5)

Not good people

Silent goody-goodies are a hindrance to the welfare of society. Truly good people awaken the people about injustices.

Ananda Marga ideology guides us, "We cannot call people “good” if they cannot lead people of all walks of life towards welfare. We can call them “goody-goodies” but not good people. Those who are truly good people will move bravely forward and provide inspiration and strength to those mute masses to fight against all kinds of obstacles, and give a clarion call to them to march ahead." (6)

Next Baba guides that we should never tolerate misdeeds and injustices.

Ananda Marga philosophy says, "Intelligent people should no longer remain silent...They must not act like goody-goodies, seeing evil but continuing to tolerate it. This is very bad." (7)

Wt conduct rules on black money

Savitananda ji has contravened Guru's teachings and conduct rules on black money. Following are Baba's mandates for wholetime workers:

Wt conduct rules state: "No worker can keep unaccounted money (black money) with him." (8)

Wt conduct rules state: "Each worker will separately maintain the clear account of receipt and expenditure of his personal allowance and organizational money." (9)

Wt conduct rules state: "Whenever supervisory worker so desires, the worker is to give the proper account of expenditure tallying with the cash at their disposal." (10)

Wt conduct rules state: "Each amount of collection should be deposited properly and drawn after submitting requisition." (11)

Wt conduct rules state: "Proper vouchers are to be maintained for each item of expenditure." (12)

Ways of such intellectual satans

Here below Baba describes the debased cheating mentality of those conniving intellectuals who resort to shams and tall tales to swindle the public. You can decide for yourself how far Dada S falls in this category.

Ananda Marga philosophy guides us, “In any society or governmental system where vipra rule lasted for a long time, different kinds of religion or moral philosophy came into being under their aegis. Initially the vipras had introduced religion for the purpose of exploitation and had tried to mislead people through their grandiloquence. However, the new philosophies that emerged in the course of time as a result of clash among vipras propagating different doctrines, came to be somewhat spiritual in appearance, though the tendency to exploit remained beneath the surface. This form of religion, like the form socialism adopted, was in fact a great hoax. With this approach, intellectual satans, instead of exploiting the faithful directly, expanded their sphere of exploitation behind a psychologically-designed mask of detachment from or indifference to worldly things.”
“Vipras with a simple type of philosophy used to say, "Your father deserves to go to heaven, so make sure that we perform his funeral service," or "The soul of your father needs subtle food. Give us ordinary food and we will send it to him in a subtle form."”
“But later on the cunning vipras, whom I call intellectual satans, tried to turn the minds of the people from practical reality towards an imaginary void by preaching contrived philosophies. The essence of their voluminous treatises and verbose annotations to lengthy aphorisms was: the world is an illusion; therefore renounce the world and do not be attracted to its illusions. Become desireless, detached and self-abnegating by offering all your wealth at the feet of the vipras. Of course such philosophies did not preach that the world was also illusory for the vipras who received the offerings – clearly because it was through such ploys that they were able to achieve their objectives.”
“In places where, for whatever reason, intellectual clashes among the vipras were not very intense, their philosophy was very simple. They would say to the people directly, "I am the angel or incarnation of God. The things I have said are not the words of a human being but the words of God," or "I have received the divine revelation that you will eat this and not that, worship in this way and not that, and offer this to God. If you obey my commandments God will bless you and you will go to heaven; otherwise you will be burnt to death in the fire of hell." The people were fooled this easily.” (13)

In that dark hour

“Tumi, bhálobese chile, tái ki ele, phúler parág rág anurág mishiye dile...” (Prabhat Samgiita #3279)

Purport:

My Parama Purusa, You loved me. Is that why You came to me? You are so great. You interweave Your love and affection with flower fragrance. Today my entire being feels awakened and loved with Your sweet arrival.

Supreme Entity, before Your advent, human beings were in the dark. They were drowned in the depths of materialism, busy daylong in mundane acquisitions. They were in a closed room, riddled by a narrow, dogmatic mindset and could not think or conceive of anything beyond the periphery of matter. Such was the horrific condition of depraved humanity. In that dark hour, You blessed all. By opening the doors and showering humanity in a deluge of light of neo-humanism and spirituality, You have divinely intoxicated everyone's mind and transformed one and all.

Baba, my Parama Purusa, with the colourful flambeau of Your exquisite supreme love, human life started swinging. Everyone became charged by Your dharmic call. Holding aloft the flag of hope, You stood in front of all, mercifully led the way, and showed everyone the path of Supreme fulfillment.

Baba, You have blessed me so much...

Contradiction in AM book by TP... + 2 more

Baba

Contradiction in AM book by TP...

Namaskár,

Here following is the example of a contradiction in Ánanda Márga philosophy. It is sad, but obvious that this happened due to the fault of our Tiljala Publications department. Let us come and find out about the contradiction.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/

Yellow is false, Green is correct

Quote #1, highlighted in yellow, contradicts quote #2 which is highlighted in green.

Quote #1:
Ánanda Márga ideology says, “Mana eva manuśyańám kárańam bandha-mokśayoh. In other words the unit attains salvation only when she/he empties her/his mind of all objects.” (Subháśita Saḿgraha Part 2) (ref. 1)
Quote #2:
Ánanda Márga ideology says, "Those who embrace nothingness as their absolute goal develop a void in their citta in the absence of Cognitive Faculty. As a result they are unable to establish themselves in the Supreme Cognitive Stance and attain salvation. The spiritual cult which encourages this practice is certainly defective." (Subháśita Saḿgraha Part 8) (ref. 2)

Quote #1 says that when you make your mind empty, then you will realize God.

Quote #2 says that when you make your mind empty, then you will not realize God.

Conclusion

Quote #1 is from Subháśita Saḿgraha Part 2; quote #2 is from Subháśita Saḿgraha Part 8. And these two quotes contradict each other. Contradiction in any philosophy breaks the backbone of that philosophy. Ánanda Márga philosophy is not contradictory, but due to our Tiljala Publisher’s mistakes this false contradiction occurred. It is sad.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/

Ánanda Márga philosophy states, "The scriptures containing spiritual injunctions must be totally flawless." (3)

At His lotus feet,
Jyoti
Jennifer Ward

Publishers are the cause of contradiction in AM books

Given that he teachings of Táraka Brahma are perfect, never change, and contain no contradictions, if any contradiction is found in Ánanda Márga scripture, it can only be the error of the publishers. Any contradiction found is due not to the Propounder of the scripture, but to the medium by which that scripture was put in print. The printed versions of the two above-mentioned discourses flagrantly contradict one another; and, this contradiction has been present for almost six decades.

Two contradictory definitions printed by TP

This above discussed contradiction has been sitting in AMPS’s printed books being sold all over the world for almost six decades. The wrong teaching—from “The Intuitional Science of the Vedas - 1” in Subháśita Saḿgraha Part 2, and the correct teaching—from ”Psychic Assimilation in Psycho-Spiritual Practice”, Subháśita Saḿgraha Part 8—have both been in print for approximately that much time. And this contradiction is not subtle or vague; it is a glaring contradiction that makes Bábá look like someone who says one thing at one time, and an opposite thing at another.

Now here is one vital point: In any philosophy, if there are contradictions within it that is deadly. A philosophy which is self-contradictory cannot survive. So the presence of such a glaring contradiction is extremely serious and threatens the whole of Ánanda Márga scripture. Yet in around sixty years, the Tiljala Publishers never fixed it.

One must ask the question as to how it could be that the Tiljala Publishers never fixed such a glaring contradiction as this in sixty years.
http://anandamarganewsbulletin.blogspot.com/

Contradiction in scripture is deadly

The presence of such a contradiction in our Ánanda Márga scripture is of vital importance and must be repaired without delay. The very survival of Ánanda Márga ideology as guiding light for the suffering humanity, depends on this.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "The scriptures containing spiritual injunctions must be totally flawless." (3)

Fix Bábá's discourses: now or never

If we remain passive onlookers and do not fix the negative trends of introducing distortion into Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrtiji's discourses—if we do not bring the printed discourses up to the proper standard now—it will become impossible to change this in the future. And even if in the future some sincere Ánanda Márgiis try, they will be treated as enemies. Because this is the way religion works: Today one cannot teach the devotees of Lord Krśńa that He has nothing to do with cows; they will never believe it. In the same way, Ánanda Márgiis will become used to the wrong teachings in our AM books and they will not like to give them up. They will think that whatever was there at the end of the twentieth century, that was the gold standard for all time. And it should be kept and maintained.

Ánanda Márga is dharma—not religion—but we will face the same opposition from within to change, when wrong teachings get established.

So we don't have any time: it is either now or never. The clock is ticking: If we do not get Bábá's discourses fixed now, it will be impossible to do so later. And that will cause bloodshed and more division on the basis of the various versions of Bábá's teachings and their explanations. History bears testimony to this, that all the religions have similarly broken into multiple factions, groups and subgroups on the basis of differences in scripture interpretations. Bábá wanted to eliminate such problems, and that is why Bábá's discourses are recorded. But unfortunately, those recordings are not being published properly. This matter is very serious.

With His fathomless krpa

Note: Only those who sincerely practice the higher lessons of sahaja yoga meditation can understand this song in the depths of their heart.

“Bánsharii bájiye jáy sahás nayane cáy, goloker hari áji gokule liilá racáy..." (Prabhat Samgiita #3658)

Purport:

Today, the Hari of the divine world has manifested His liila in the land of bhaktas. With His sweet will He is moving all around playing His sonorous flute, (omnkara sound) - showering His charming smile and gracious look upon all. With reddish lips, He is beckoning each and everyone. He is saying: “Come close, come to Me - quickly, as soon as possible, come running, so we can play together.” Today that Hari of abode of satya is showering bliss on everyone. We are so blessed.

Everyone is His kith and kin; all are His own, close, most intimate ones. Nobody is alien; no one is far. By His mercy every aspirant gets Him in their thinking, japa, and meditation. By His causeless grace, now the current of the Yamuná river of bhakti is very high and strong. His enchanting rasa is overflowing and splashing in ecstasy. With His fathomless krpa, the garland of waves is swaying to and fro. All are ensconced in His blessing.

For crushing the dus't'a (demonic people), for saving and nurturing the virtuous and dharmic people, and for destroying the nefarious and deadly demons, He takes advent again and again on this earth. With the rumble, twang, and beating of His kettle drum, He challenges the devilish sinners. He comes as Mahasambhuti. There is no one else in this universe who has such infinite and countless qualities like He. That Hari of the eternal realm is the home of all spiritual attributions. Today, that unparalleled Hari has taken form on this earth. He is with us.

The Lord of the universe has come today with gracious splendour, and He is showering His unique liila upon all bhaktas. He is most kind and ever-affectionate. That loving Hari is calling, “Come one, come all....”

Notes for Prabhat Samgiita #3658:

Liila vs kriid́á

Ananda Marga ideology states, “There is a subtle difference between liilá and kriid́a. When the cause of an effect is easily discernible it is called kriid́a, but when the cause is unknown and only the effect is easily discernible it is called liilá. This creation is the liilá of Parama Puruśa because human beings do not know why He has created it. With the help of their intellect they are eager to know the cause of creation, but will they ever be successful in this quest? They want to solve the riddle of creation, but they have no notion about the cause. So whatever Parama Puruśa does is all His liilá, It cannot be called His kriid́á. I have already said that when one discovers the relation between the cause and effect it is called kriid́á, but when one can see only the effect and not the cause, it is called liilá. For human beings having only a small unit mind the creation is the liilá of Parama Puruśa, but to Him it is His kriid́á.” (1)

Who is Hari

Ananda Marga ideology states, “In Sanskrit, one name of Parama Puruśa is Hari. Hari means “who steals”, “who takes away all your sin without your knowledge”. In Sanskrit, the root verb hr means “to steal”. Now the relationship between the Lord and His devotee is very sweet, and extremely, purely, personal. Parama Puruśa loves His devotee, and the devotee also loves His Lord. Now the accumulated mountain of sin attached to the devotee is unbearable for the Lord. He wants to remove that mountain of sin from His devotees. He may say: “Oh, devotee, give your sins to Me.” The devotee will say: “No, Lord, I am ready to give You everything, I am ready to give You my soul, my spirit, everything, but how can I give my sins to You? I cannot.” But Parama Puruśa loves His devotee, so without the knowledge of the devotee, He takes away his sin. Now to take something from a man without his knowledge is stealing. So Parama Puruśa steals – that is, He takes away sin from His devotee. And that’s why He is called Hari.” (2)

Rásaliilá

Ananda Marga ideology states, “There is another expression of bhakti which occurs when devotees realize that all beings are created from ánanda, exist in ánanda and return to ánanda. This realization causes a radical change in their outlook – no longer can they differentiate between rich and poor, highborn and low-born. They observe an ocean of ánanda flowing within and around all created beings. “Rasa vae sah” – all are flowing in the same rasa, the same ocean of bliss. In that divine flow the devotees see Parama Puruśa dancing with each entity. In philosophy, this dance is called “rásaliilá” [divine play in the flow of bliss]. It does not mean that someone is actually playing a flute with all the humans and cows dancing around Him. Rather, it means that all the entities of this beginningless and endless universe are floating in the ocean of cosmic bliss. There is no place for sorrow since sorrow only exists where petty interests clash and vie with each other. When the devotees clearly understand this they become established in “bhaktiránanda rupáca”.” (3)

When you will hear the sound of flutes

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Then in the next phase, as if somebody is dancing with ghuṋghur [ankle bells]. (You know, ghuṋghur – you use it during the táńd́ava dance. In Sanskrit it is called nupur.) Next you will hear the sound of flutes – as if somebody is playing a flute. Then the sound of the ocean, you know? A particular sound is created by the sea. And then, in the fifth phase, taḿ, taḿ, just like bells, the sound of bells. And finally, the sound is just like ooṋṋṋ – the oṋḿkára in pure form. And after that there remains no sound, because after that there ends the realm, the scope, of Saguńa. After that there is the scope of Nirguńa. In the realm of Nirguńa there cannot be any sound, because there cannot be any expression. Not even divine expression, not even supra-psychic expression.” (4)

In spiritual field what is Yamuná

Ananda Marga ideology states, “Yamuná. Just as there is a Yamuna River in the physical sphere, in the subtle psychic sphere also there is a certain flow which leads microcosms towards Parama Puruśa.”(5)

Note: Up above there is a subheading titled “Rásaliilá” which features a quote from our Ananda Marga books. The publications department wrongly printed one line as “with all the humans and cows dancing around him.” But that is wrong. The quote should read as follows with a capital “H” at the end: “with all the humans and cows dancing around Him.”
