It is well known in AMPS that in the social sphere our Wts are solely dedicated for the welfare of society and are hence not to have contact with their laokika (worldly) family.

Against wt oath: Tiirthadevananda’s sentimental appeal
Recently, however, one WT posted in Spain, Dada Tiirthadevananda, publicly announced that he was going to visit his parents and worldly family in Malaysia. Not only that, he initiated a fund-raising campaign to cover the costs of the trip. Dada did this openly as if this was totally normal. Moreover, he announced it in a way as one does when raising money for a social service project, such as feeding the needy or restoring a village after a flood. Indeed, Dada Tiirthadevananda made a sentimental appeal referring to himself as “we” and calling for margiis’ generous support so he could go see his mom and dad halfway around the world-- as if his going to see his mom and dad was a long overdue dire event. When in fact by visiting his worldly parents Dada is going against his avadhuta oath.

Rotten leadership is the cause
Such is the sad state of affairs these days in AMPS: An avadhuta openly flaunts his transgression of a Wt conduct rule as if it is completely normal. The underlying cause behind this is an utter lack of proper leadership at the top. Rudrananda rewards degraded sycophants, and there is a rampant disregard for following Baba’s teachings. And if one does sincerely follow Guru’s guidelines then they are often mocked and ridiculed by other Wts.
Suffice to say: Numerous Wts line the pockets of those at the top, and, in exchange, they are given free passes to visit their laokika family -- all sanctioned by today’s group leader Rudrananda etc. That is the root cause of this issue: defective leadership. And Tiirthadevananda got washed up in that tidal wave and somehow thought it was ok to start a fundraising campaign so he could visit his worldly mom and dad etc.

Conclusion
Dada Tiirthadevananda may be sincere in many respects, but his call for funds to visit his laokika family is a sin and a contravention of his avadhuta oath and conduct rules. Dada has no right to visit his mom and dad at their home.

Dharmic margii gets blamed
There is yet another serious aspect of this issue. Many kind-hearted margiis, unaware about the rules, came forward to support Dada Tiirthadevananda financially. However, one margii was fully aware about the Wt conduct rules and bravely opposed what Dada was doing. This margii did the right thing by pointing out the problem.
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “All Ananda Margis, when they see other Margis acting against the principles of Yama and Niyama, must make them shun this habit either by sweet or harsh words or by dealing even more strictly.” (A Guide to Human Conduct, How to Live in Society)
Sadguru Baba says, “I direct every Ananda Margi to keep strict vigilance on other Ananda Margi to make them practise the principles of Yama and Niyama.” (A Guide to Human Conduct, How to Live in Society)
So that margii who pointed out Dada ji’s misconduct was doing as per Baba’s guideline. But, instead of being supported by his fellow margiis, that margii faced their wrath. Verily, they killed the messenger. That’s to say, they blamed that margii and wholly overlooked Dada’s transgression.

Donors beware: invite negative samskara
Those Ananda Margiis who donate even one penny to Dada Tiirthadevananda’s unholy excursion should pay heed to Baba’s below guideline. Indeed, by giving money to a Wt for violating his avaduta oath / conduct rules is a sin. Those donors will incur a negative samskara.
Sadguru Baba has directed us in the chapter on Tapah in "A Guide to Human Conduct" that if donated money is not utilized for a just and worthy cause, then the donor is also responsible for that misdeed(s). The donor will incur a negative samskara - that is Baba's strict warning. Thus, always be alert and ensure that your donation does not go toward an unworthy / adharmic cause.
Ananda Marga philosophy guides us, "Tapah devoid of knowledge is bound to be misused. The opportunists will misuse your energy by extracting work from you to serve their selfish ends, and at the same time this will deprive the real sufferers of their due services from you. A rich miser approaches you with a tale of woe and entreats you to give him relief. Being moved with pity, if you do what is needed to relieve him of his suffering, the very purpose of tapah will be defeated, as it is without any knowledge or reasoning. The end result of your service will be that the rich man whom you have served will become more miserly and more selfish and will, in the future, try to deceive in a greater way people who dedicate themselves to the service of humanity. Secondly, as you will, to some extent, know his inner motive, you will become mentally depressed and you will also develop a hostile attitude towards him. Therefore, while following the principle of tapah you should ascertain fully well whether the person you are going to serve, really needs your service. Only then should you engage yourself in service...Therefore, you will have to ascertain with discrimination where your responsibility lies and to what extent; otherwise all your time, energy and labour employed in tapah will be in vain...because in such cases you do not make the proper use of objects." (A Guide to Human Conduct, Tapah)
We should all pay heed to Baba's above guideline about tapah and serving others. If our donation goes to a Wt Dada or Didi for some unworthy cause like visiting their loakika parents, then that donor is held accountable by prakrti. If one fails to ensure that their donation is used in a dharmika manner or knowingly supports something that is against WT conduct rules, then they themselves will incur a negative samskara. So donors should be keenly informed and aware of how their money is being used, otherwise they will plunge themselves into sin and be forced to undergo that horrible reaction. That is Baba's warning.

Balanced approach
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “The common people, let alone the master artists, know that sound is not emitted if the strings are loosened too much and the soft and delicate strings snap if they are tightened too much. Human life is also like this. If one practises too much austerity (in some cases, if one makes a parade of austerity), tender human sensitivities snap and break into smithereens’ the soft, delicate parts of the mind get charred and petrified. On the other hand, if life is made akin to a loose string, the nobler yearnings of life will never be fulfilled. In other words, that kind of life degenerates into the life of an animal characterized only by bathing, eating and sleeping. Hence one must never allow the string of life to be loose. But also the string of life should not be left to snap due to excessive strain. The ideal course of life is neither left-oriented nor right-oriented. This kind of life will be conspicuous by the absence of strife, mayhem or horror of the leftists and of toleration of injustices by the rightists in their loose, careless and sloppy life. It is this ideal course that will usher in a life worth yearning for a super-human existence, divinely exquisite and shining brightly on the banner of gold.” (1)

Vipran exploitation emulated in AMPS
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “The vipras [religious leaders ] have invented and are still inventing new ways of exploiting different communities of people in different parts of the world. In some places they have lured people with the prospect of eternal heaven, injecting into them at the same time the fear of eternal hell. By claiming the doctrine of some particular vipra leader to be the word of God, they have blocked the natural expression of the human intellect and made people intellectually bankrupt. With the intention of permanently securing for themselves an exalted position in the eyes of the ordinary people, some vipra leaders have declared themselves to be the incarnation or the appointed prophet of God. Through their own so-called scriptures, they have indirectly let the common people know that no one can achieve the same proximity to God as they – so that an inferiority complex will remain forever in the minds of the masses, and due to this inferiority complex the masses will always follow their teachings, either out of fear or out of devotion. That is why even intellectual people have fallen into their trap and have been compelled to say, Vishváse miláy vastu, tarke vahu dúr ["The goal is achieved not by reason but by faith"] or Majhab men ákl ká dakhl nahii haen ["There is no room for reason in religion"]. Note: The above historical teaching given by Baba about the Middle Ages / Dark Ages is also true today in our Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha. The handlers of PP Dada give him a divine status so they can inject a complex in the minds of Wts and margiis that PP Dada is between Baba and margiis. Without PP’s blessing, marriages will not be successful. Whatever PP Dada says everyone must follow blindly. Don’t use your brain - PP has special powers and a direct connection to Baba. These are the types of dogmas the handlers of PP are injecting. Various rituals have been implemented to show that PP is almost equal to Baba. That is why PP is not raising the Jai slogan or attending dharmacakra etc. Unfortunately so-called intellectuals also became trapped: Because of their post they are blindly following this dogma. That is the sad state of affairs. Now is the time for right-thinking Wts and margiis to come forward and oppose this dogma.
