Our Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha is a top-down organisation so the post of purodha pramukha wields tremendous power and authority. Yet, since 1991, the various PPs have been like clay in the hands of their handlers. That is the sad and unfortunate truth. To best understand this situation, we should examine how Hindu temple priests act with the idol of their selected deity.
Hindu priests infuse power of god in idols
The Hindu temple priests have one special technique which they employ with their idols. They preach to their followers that the word of God comes via this idol. So if anyone wishes to gain virtue and blessings in this world then they should do anything and everything to please the idol. That is their stand.
All the while the idol is something entirely inert. The idol does not do anything - period. And the priest knows the idol is bogus. But by this way the temple priest is able to convince, control, sway, and manipulate the people - i.e. by infusing the word of God into that idol and being the spokesman of that idol. That is how the priest can manipulate the scene in a very easy and facile manner.
Same is the case with Purodha Pramukha. Although PP himself is not inert, but he is a stooge in the hands of his handlers. So what do those handlers do? They preach to the margiis that PP's word is divine and beyond question. And they encourage margiis to get PP's blessing and approval. Veritably, the Wt handlers of PP use him as a puppet to control the margiis and assert their authority.
There is a striking similarity between those dogmatic Hindu idols and PP - both are managed, manicured, and presented in the same exact manner.

Conclusion
There are so many striking similarities between the Hindu idol and today's PP. One happens to be stone and the other happens to be human (stooge) - beyond that they are the same. So the handlers of PP employ the same crafty ploys that temple priests use. They are a mirror image of one another.
This is a wide-scale scam that occurs in all the dogmatic religions, pseudo-spiritual organisations, and puppet governments etc. And now we can say, that for the past three decades, our Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha (AMPS) has joined the ranks. It is a most sad and sorry state to see.
Even then, I do not anticipate that this will go on for much longer. Each and every day that passes the schemes and ploys of various Dadas are being exposed. Same will be the case with the PP handlers etc. Plus there is the growing understanding that Sadguru Baba is the Supreme Authority - not anyone else. People are also aware that the post of purodha pramukha is a social post with no spiritual power per se.
For all these reasons and more, surely this misunderstanding will be cleared up in our AMPS. I am hopeful and optimistic it will not carry on for centuries and centuries as happened in the various dogmatic religions.

Beware: religious exploitation
Ananda Marga ideology states, “Religious preceptor blesses the wealthy merchants for their future prosperity but refuses to see the faces of his poor disciples who fail to provide handsome prańámii (a fee for the priest’s blessing). You will notice that in many religions mythological stories and fables are given more importance than science and rational ideas because they contain ample scope for exploitation of human weaknesses.” (1)
Ananda Marga philosophy states, “Movement which is devoid of logic and reason is called “dogma,” and a collection of dogma is called an “ism.” When the advocates of dogma and the followers of isms lacked sufficient charisma to convince people through the power of their personalities, they tried to persuade them by taking the name of God. They openly exploited others in the name of the Supreme. Sometimes they said, “I have received certain instructions in a dream. God’s commandments are that you should follow these instructions.” At other times they would intimidate people saying, “If you violate these commandments you will suffer eternal damnation.” Thus, they created complexes in the minds of the people, and they forced them to accept all kinds of dogma and follow them out of fear.’ (2)
How corruption perpetrated in name of God
Ananda Marga ideology states, “To maintain their domination through a system of superstitious belief, these parasites invented means to curb this growth of reaction and intellectual rationalism and presented to the mass a sentimental appeal. Any command, rational or irrational, was enforced on society with so-called divine force by enunciation of the incarnation theory. Corruption was perpetrated in the name of God and all those raising their heads against such commands or preachings were called reactionaries, atheists, and curbed drastically. “Give the dog a bad name and hang it,” was their motto. They went to the extent of manipulating, polluting and misinterpreting even the precious writings of many great philosophers whose work had been respected as religious treatises from ancient times – all with an ulterior motive, to get their interests served.” (3)

Diligent approach in sadhana
Ananda Marga ideology says, “Bábá demonstrated these basic points by touching and sending into samádhi four persons. He also showed that through the grace of the Almighty as represented by guru krpá (the guru's grace), the evolutionary rise through sádhaná can be accelerated, and the slow walk can be maximized into a gallop. In this way samádhi can be induced from any cakra. But a success easily gained may not be fully appreciated and valued. Therefore, normally the sádhaka should be allowed to work out his success through the hard way of diligent sádhaná.” (1)

Only people of lower standard accept communism
Ananda Marga ideology states, “Countries which have both laborious and intellectually developed citizens have never accepted communism. For example, Karl Marx was born in Germany but his theory was not accepted there. Similarly, England gave shelter to Marx but did not accept his theory. The cooperative movement first started in England and the spirit of cooperation is reflected in many aspects of British society; consequently, Marxism has not been able to get a foothold in Britain. Japan is surrounded by communist countries like the Soviet Union, North Korea and China but it did not accept communism. The citizens of these countries, as well as of some other countries, are both laborious and intellectually developed, hence they have rejected Marxism.” (1)
Note: In India there was only state where communism was accepted for several decades. You are surely aware about that state.
